BB9 Countdown: Day 13 – Time to spread the word!

Day 13…in less than 2 week. WOW. It is still sinking in. I feel so not ready but yet I have been blogging for over 2 weeks now in preparation for the start of Big Brother Season 9. I am very excited and I hope that my daily blog posts are getting you all ready as well for yet another amazing season.

All things considered, this blog seems to have really grown over the past year. I take absolutely NO CREDIT for it at all. To be honest, the only reason this place is any fun at all is because of all the wonderful people who take time out of their busy day and busy lives and comment and hang out around here. I do this because of all of you crazy Big Brother loving people world wild! I am one of you and am happy to be able to “host the party” and will do all I can to make sure we don’t melt the servers like we did last year! (crazy stuff)

Now, it is time to really spread the word….here are a few things that I would like for you to do for me. Nothing crazy….just simple stuff.

1. On CBS.com, they had a link section that we were not a part of ( 🙁 ) and this year I would really love a link from CBS.COM to this blog. It was called “Fan Central” and was located at this location http://www.cbs.com/primetime/bigbrother8/fan_central.shtml. If you go here http://www.cbs.com/info/user_services/fb_global_form.shtml and tell them to add the Big Brother Blog to their BB9 fan central page…I promise to keep doing all I can to be the BEST Big Brother Blog on the net. Deal or no Deal? 🙂

Again, to recap…be sure to tell them it is a REQUEST for their website CBS.COM and that Big-Brother-Blog.com (be sure to type our URL right) would love to be on their Fan Central for BB9. Hopefully they will say OK! 🙂

2. If you have a blog or website or myspace or facebook, link to us and share with your friends that you are a reader of our blog. I have hired someone to blog on our MySpace site. I have asked a few people to help with our video site (which the new design will be completed next week!!) I am also getting people active over on our forums to update the Live Feed area so we can give you AS MUCH CONTENT as you can handle. If you are interested in adding a graphic to your MySpace site let me know…I can get you an image to post and link to our blog. IN OTHER WORDS…add us as your FRIEND NOW! 🙂

3. If you click on this link that says “Big Brother Top 50” we can move closer to the top of the list. Obviously that would mean we would be visited more often so that would be nice.

4. Last but not least…start thinking about friends, neighbors, coworkers, inlaws, outlaws and family who may be interested in reading our blog. I am going to announce a contest tomorrow (if my script is still working) to win an iPod Shuffle for whoever tells the most people about our site and they sign up for our mailing list. The person who gets the most people signed up for our mailing list will win an Apple iPod Shuffle!

We need more pictures for the rest of our countdown. We need pictures for 1 through 12 so please email them to realitytvchat (at) gmail (dot) com. I am looking forward to hearing from you and seeing your creativity!

Okay…I am going to make repararations to Michelle….I am blogging a picture of a Super Bowl XIII (that’s 13, folks!!) pin, the game which TERRY BRADSHAW was named MVP of…there….we’re even….those were dark days to a Browns fan, trust me…also, I have sent a picture of probably one of my favorite players, ever, to wear an Indians uniform, Omar Vizquel, and two pictures of the great Frank Ryan, who led the Browns to their last championship in 1964. (Incidentally, a Steeler, “Big Daddy” Lipscomb broke the Browns’ starting QB’s collarbone in 1962, allowing Ryan to step in, and he never relinquished the job.)


Even on my Big Brother Blog there is drama…you gotta love it. Well that is all for now…be sure to give us your thoughts and feedback….the show starts in only 13 days!

BB9 Countdown: Day 14 Julie Chen on Letterman – A Robotic Recap

So tonight on Letterman, Julie Chen was on as the 2nd guest. (which surprised me since I thought she would be “big” enough to be the first guest…but I digress)

I rather enjoyed watching Jessica Alba. To sum up her interview…she is in a new movie called “The Eye”, she is “with child” and as HOT as ever!

Then Julie Chen came out and she was dressed in a “Little Black Dress” or what I would deem as one. She was looking good….I do not get her hair style but that is that.

Overall, as expected, there was NOTHING about the next season of Big Brother 9. They did talk about how it started in Holland (I thought it was started in the UK) and how starting in season 4 of the US version they started adding the “surprise” factor into the house guests who are chosen. They also showed a sample of what the “Live Feeds” or the “BB After Dark” would look like and I think they showed an old clip of Julie Chen?? She replied after “Someone will be getting a phone call” so that was the most shocking reveal of the night. Maybe that was Julie Chen’s “Dirty Little Secret”! 😉

Today I am enclosing a picture of hall-of-Fame quarterback Otto Graham of the Cleveland Browns. Otto led the Browns to TEN STRAIGHT Championship games, winning the first 4, then 3 of the next 6. In 11 years, he led his team to the championship game EACH YEAR….suck on that, Terry Bradshaw!

BB9 Countdown 17, 16, 15! Only 2 weeks more!

So I took the weekend off and am back to keep the countdown going.

Saturday was day 17, Sunday was day 16, Monday is day 15 which means we are 2 weeks away from BB9 eve! Wow….just like Christmas every year…it is fast approaching.

I will be watching and I am guessing Day 14’s Post will be a recap all about her interview!! 🙂 I sure hope she gives us more information about the Big Brother 9 season. I for one am tired of rumors and speculation and look forward to giving some real info about the new season!

BB9 Countdown: Day 18 – Big Brother Blog is world wide

Wow…just to think that this was just 3 years ago this domain and website did not even exists!

…and now I am even getting pictures from Big Brother fans in China! Crazy stuff.

Today with our countdown at 18 days until Big Brother 9 I have 2 new submitters to our little picture countdown experiment.

First is one that I have to admit took me by surprise. I received an email from Ruud Kin that read this….

BB9 Countdown: Day 19 and things are starting to come together

Hello and welcome to Day 19 in our countdown to Big Brother 9 on CBS! I am very excited that things are coming together and people are slowly coming back to the blog. I have been putting in tons of time getting this place ready to deliver the best Big Brother coverage we can.

As we are less than 3 weeks away we know that CBS is also getting ready. From what I read on another blog (i sure am missing my Shomance) they have been busy testing the Live Feeds with the Big Brother 9 logo. As you can see from the current poll on the right, a lot of you are planning to purchase the Live Feeds and watch the House Guests every move over the next 3 months! Here is what I want to do…I want to give you a way to support Big Brother Blog and also watch the live feeds.

If you purchase the live feeds via the large banner at the top, the SWEET peel ad in the corner, or the banner on the sidebar on the right. (Yes right over there —> ) It will help us to keep adding cool things, paying for this dedicated server, getting MORE people involved and continue growing to be the leader in Reality TV Coverage.

Watch the Big Brother 9 Live Feeds for Free?

Yes…over the past 2 seasons, we have given away access to the live feeds compliments of Must-See-TV.com and Big-Brother-Blog.com. This year will be NO DIFFERENT.

On Monday Feb. 11th, 2008 I will give one of our blog commenter’s access to the live feeds for the season FOR FREE! Here are the rules….

1. You have to COMMENT ON THIS POST. Only comments on this post will be accepted.
2. You have to have a GRAVATAR set (in other words, I do not want to see all the default Big Brother Blog houses)
3. The better the comment (quality counts) and the sweeter the Gravatar picture will help in determining the winner.
4. The winner will be notified via email on Monday afternoon/evening and will have the feeds by Tuesday Feb. 12!
5. The comments have to be posted by Midnight PST on Sunday Feb. 10th, 2008 to qualify!

Exactly 3 weeks from today we will be watching Big Brother 9!

It has been very fun getting the blog ready for the upcoming season. So far for me the best thing is getting emails from other fans of the blog and the show. The countdown is fun and I hope that people keep sending in their numbers.

Today’s number comes from another football fan. Matt in Ohio wants to share his number 21 with the world via the Big Brother Blog! Here is his submission!

With the number 21 we are only 3 weeks away…and this season we are bound to see a bunch of unique house guests. I am guessing there will be some that are way too beautiful for their own good “Jen Johnson”, way too planning and smart to even have a chance at winning “Kail”, way too expert at Big Brother and how to play the game where in the end it will only mean you come up short “Eric” or way too mean, rude and gross that everyone is scared to vote you out and you will even win the 500,000 prize! “Evel Dick”

So the houseguests will be known over the next 2 weeks and the show will start weather we are ready or not for it on Feb. 12! I for one cannot wait!

I will be announcing my first contest tomorrow. It will not be the iPod one since I have suffered a small set back with the script. Instead it will be one where someone will win access to the Live Feeds for Free!

MLK Monday and a counter reset for day 22…

As I was working feverishly on trying to create yesterday’s blog post, I realized that my count was off exactly one number….(I am supposed to know Big Brother…I guess I do not really need to know MATH!) 🙂

So I took Sunday off and watched some football. I was hoping for a Green Bay vs New England Superbowl but the New York Giants decided to mess that up. Over all both games were good but I am still sad that the Minnesota Vikings are not a factor! *sigh*

Still no word on the BB9 houseguests…

I have seen lots of posts and comments asking who the next batch of houseguests to enter the Big Brother House will be. I think this is one of the largest secrets out there and CBS guards them as strongly as they do the names in the pot of who is the winner of Survivor each season!

Here is what we know, the website will be here when CBS finall puts it online…

That is the format of the previous 8 seasons of big brother.

Also, last year the website did not go up until exactly 1 week before the start of BB8.
Website was live as of June 29, 2007 at 10:00pm Pacific Standard Time and the show started on July 5, 2007. With that being said….my guess would be we will know who will be going into the Big Brother 9 house on or around Feb. 4, 2008. That should be the date the CBS site will probably go live and we will then all of our questions will be answered.

23 days and counting Thanks once again to Christine in Lakeport, CA for sending us a number pic for our countdown to BB9. She said she IS a NASCAR fan. (but not really a fan of Jeff Gordon’s) She gave me this sweet pic for Day 23. (I am a HUGE Jim Carey fan although I have not seen this movie!

Please keep them coming….in a few days I will have some pictures for day 18 from an ultra BB fan from China! So please keep the pictures coming. I will post them!

So….does it feel like December 1st today? Only 24 days until BB9….just like on Dec. 1 there are 24 days until Christmas! Similar…..different but similar I guess. Just makes me excited….

So in case you did not know, we are going to be following a few of the Reality TV shows this season. I wanted to share with you a few of the other link websites that we are a part of that you may also be interested in checking out.

American Idol Blog – It is BACK and as entertaining as always. Who will be the 7th American Idol? Our main writer Ryan Welton is back and has all ready been featured in USA today as an American Idol Expert. Read the blog and let us know what you think…
Survivor Micronesia Blog – Fans vs. Favorites…should be a fun show to follow. This show may get lost between Big Brother 9 and American Idol but it should still be fun to see this Pseudo All Stars version!
Must-See-TV.com – My original reality tv forums. Feel free to become a member and talk about your favorite tv shows. To date, Must See TV has given away 7 (yes SEVEN) iPod’s to people who have played the weekly vote off games.
Reality-TV-Chat.com – just a chat room for all Reality TV shows. Same as our Big Brother Chat room except it is just out there and all by itself. If you like Big Brother….stay here and chat….but for all other Reality TV shows….we will use this site as the chat room.
