Big Brother Power Shift

by BBBlogger on July 31, 2011

For those of you who don’t watch the live feeds, Big Brother started with a summation of the HOH endurance competition. I (guess?) that this competition was much easier for smaller builds because the women were able to last much longer than the males in this one. First one to fall was Adam with Lawon following a little while later. Third off the wall was Brendan and next was Jeff. This was not a good showing for the guys that’s for sure!

The first five who fell had to pick a snowball. One lucky snowball contained $10,000. Adam was first to pick and he was the lucky winner of getting to wear an elf suit for a week. Second to pick was Lawon and he picked a Have Not card. Next was Brandon and another Have Not Card. Jeff had a 50/50 chance at the $10,000 and he picks it. Jordan was the fifth to pick and she received a Have Not card also.

I have to stop here and comment (briefly) at how totally annoying Rachel’s voice was during this entire competition. Maybe she was doing it on purpose. I know I would have dropped off and ran into the BB house to get away from her nagging voice. Her totally one-sided cheering for first Brendan and then when he dropped, Shelly should definitely be her one-way ticket home.

There were four left on the wall…Porsche, Shelly, Kalia and Danielle. The power couples were starting to shake in their boots. When Porsche fell and they knew all their eggs were in the Shelly basket, the sweat started to bead on some foreheads. Teehee… I have to admit, it was extremely satisfying to see Kalia and Danielle as the final two on the wall after Shelly fell. Now here is where a question comes up. Should Danielle have made a deal (even though she didn’t really need one) with Kalia and let Kalia have the HOH so that she could compete next week? A lot of people think that is what she should have done. But, of course, we all know that she didn’t do that. Kalia handed Danielle the HOH win.

I have to say a word or two about Kalia. Yes, she can be annoying, but she definitely deserves credit for coming in second in the HOH competition. When Brendan/Rachel call her a floater, I have no idea what they are thinking. A floater, IMO, is someone who doesn’t try to win or influence or “play” the game. That describes Lawon and Adam, not Kalia.

So next comes the butt-kissing. There was plenty! Watching everyone kiss up to Danielle was extremely satisfying for her (I bet) and also for me! Danielle immediately told Jordan that she didn’t have to worry about being put up this week. Jordan wasn’t sure she could trust her. Jeff and Jordan met with her and made a deal that if they weren’t put up, she wouldn’t be put up next week. Now, who can you trust? They all agree, but are very cautious with each other.

Brendan and Rachel also went up to the HOH to see Danielle, but conversation was stilted and they didn’t help themselves a tad. When all was said and done, Danielle nominated Brendan and Rachel for eviction. Brendan says he will win POV and take Rachel off the block, but will he? We shall see this week. Have a good start to this new week. Bloggergal

The veterans’ alliance took a big hit this week when Jeff finally figured out that Danielle was going after him with Kalia and Dominic’s help. Why he ever thought that the two couples were going to waltz to the end of BB13 is confusing for me. Also handing the HG’s that nonsense about “just want to spend the summer with Jordan” is just that…nonsense. I think with the amount of money Jordan has they could have spent their summer on a beach somewhere drinking Margarita’s without any stress. Jeff wants to win–plain and simple.

Did anyone else notice that the HG’s don’t get all “gussied” up for the live Eviction this season? I don’t know if it matters…it was just something I noticed tonight. I guess that’s what boredom does. It makes you notice silly little things.

Julie made a big deal of announcing that all the HG’s are now playing for themselves and that the gold keys are gone. This was the twist? Huh? She did tease that the summer isn’t over and there are more surprises and twists to come. Most fans think this means someone will be coming back in the game. I wouldn’t be at all surprised for it to be Dominic. I think his relationship with Danielle and their efforts to oust the veteran’s makes for higher ratings.

As was highly anticipated, the HOH competition was an endurance. The HG’s had to hang on a wall on skis as they swished back and forth down an imaginary hill. The competition started during the show (East Coast time), so I was able to watch it live on the feeds. This is why you can’t live without the live feeds. It’s worth it for these types of competitions. Click on BBBlogger’s link to subscribe for the rest of the season.

I also watched the whole house meeting on the live feeds. I always get a kick out of the HG’s when they are surprised that this one or that one lied to them. What do they think the premise is of winning Big Brother? Of course you have to lie and lie and lie.

I’m sure the comments will tell you what happened in the HOH competition. All I can say is I was happy. I like when things get mixed up in the BB house. It should be a fun week. Bloggergal

So Dominic and Adam are on the block this week and one will be leaving the Big Brother 13 house tonight! From what it seems is that Dominic has connected with Dani and well…that does not make Brenchel or J/J too happy. So I would say Dominic is out tonight…but hey….this is Big Brother so who knows…

Also we are twisting again tonight? So what do you think will be happening? Returning house guest? Maybe but not yet. End of pairs? I think so…but who knows.

Also, from my friend at BB13Dish.com, it looks like there WILL be an endurance comp tonight so JOIN US ON THE FEEDS at BIG BROTHER 13 LIVE FEEDS FREE TRIAL!

So without any more rambling…the diary room door is open for you. It is time to vote! Please cast your vote to evict either Adam or Dominic!

Peace, BBBlogger

Did Danielle Make a Move Too Soon?

by BBBlogger on July 27, 2011

With Rachel as HOH, Danielle thought it would be the perfect time to try to get the Rachel/Brendan duo to go after Jeff/Jordan. This would benefit her by not only keeping Dominic around, but getting out one of the four veterans. Unbelievably, Jeff and Jordan are again chosen for the Veto competition. I really don’t like this new setup. It leaves too many players with absolutely no chance to compete in too many competitions.

The Veto competition involved spelling the longest word by finding letters in a pool of bubbles. Dominic wasn’t trying to win the Veto because he told Rachel/Brendan that he wouldn’t win. What an idiot. You would think after 12 seasons of Big Brother that every single contestant would realize that the only way you can win is to WIN. Continuing their terrifying BB house reign, Brendan wins the Veto.

Dominic approaches Shelly to team up with him and Danielle to work to get a veteran out and Shelly runs right to Jordan and tells her everything. Of course, Jordan runs straight to Rachel and Brendan (with Shelly in tow) and the doodoo hits the fan. The end result is the two duo’s are closer than ever and they are going straight for Dominic with Danielle not following far behind. I’m not sure if Danielle really planned out her strategy or if keeping Dominic around because she likes him influenced her more and made her screw up.

Not at all surprisingly, Brendan doesn’t use the Veto. Dominic is so stupid. He really thinks that his deal with Brendan and Rachel is going to keep him in the house. Adam keeps his mouth shut and is hiding below everyone’s radar.

At the end of the show, they announce that there will be a new twist coming. What, oh what could it be? I sure hope it livens things up a little bit. Have a good Thursday! Bloggergal

Watching Brendan and Rachel is torture–pure torture! Big Brother this is not the Brendan and Rachel show! Enough is enough.

I saw your comments, so I know how you felt about the “star” David Hasselhoff appearing on the show. I agree with all of you. Pushing a CBS show instead of giving the HG’s a real luxury was very self-serving.

Rachel and Brendan’s faces when Jordan chose Kalia and Shelly to accompany her for the luxury was so fun. They really think they are King and Queen of BB and it was good to see them get knocked down a peg or two. Of course, I think that it wasn’t the smartest move on Jordan’s part. If Brendan and Rachel get pissed off enough, they will put Jeff and Jordan on the block.

But, Brendan and Rachel don’t go against the alliance and Rachel nominates Adam and Dominic. I really like Dominic so I’m hoping he finds a way to get out of this and stick around the BB house. I guess we will see on Wednesday. G’nite all! Bloggergal

Big Brother Update Prior to Sunday’s Show

by BBBlogger on July 24, 2011

First of all, I want to apologize for not blogging this week. My son and I attended Comic Con in San Diego on Thursday, so I was unable to watch Wednesday’s or Thursday’s show until today. If you would like to read my take on Comic Con and see some pictures click here

Don’t let your mouth write a check that your butt can’t cash! I’m adding Kalia’s line to my repertoire! I haven’t read any of your comments yet because I don’t like to be influenced one way or another, but I bet you said that Rachel is back on your nerves (and Jeff’s!). She was so nice when I met her. She turns into a crazy person when she enters the Big Brother house. Her fake tears are very, very annoying.

So did you think that Jeff/Jordan should have backdoor-ed Rachel/Brendan? I suppose it was their chance to get rid of one, but they wouldn’t have stood a chance against the newbies if one of them won HOH. Rachel winning again was no surprise. She sure can win competitions. I couldn’t decide if she was trying to beat Brendan or vice versa. She seems to be selfish and I think she would try to win over Brendan no matter what.

Then there’s the snake in the grass waiting to pounce, Danielle. She’s maneuvering pretty good without calling any attention to herself, isn’t she? I like the Danielle/Dominic duo. I am hoping they find a way to stick together, but it doesn’t look good for Dominic. I’m not sure he can pull a rabbit out of his hat two weeks in a row.

Kalia and Lawon are sitting pretty too, aren’t they? It’s like they are mostly invisible. It would be great if they were playing “possum” and waiting to show their incredible competition winning abilities, but, seriously? I doubt it.

I know you talk about what has happened in the house this week under comments, but I’ll refrain from doing that here, although I’m busting to tell talk about it! I’ll be back late tonight after Sunday’s show. I wonder who the famous person is that will surprise the HG’s? Stay tuned…Bloggergal

Happy Thursday Big Brother Blog followers! Anyone else excited about the 2nd live eviction? I am excited to see who goes…it is either going to be Cassi or Shelly walking out of the Big Brother 13 door tonight.

I have a feeling that Cassi will be going…which I know will make most of the men who read and comment on the blog sad. I know that I would love to see her stay just for the “eye candy” factor. (love to know if anyone else feels the same way) Shelly, the unofficial MOM of the Big Brother 13 house, will probably be given the 3rd gold key and be safe to the final 10. To me that seems like the prevailing strategy for tonight…however you never do know since this IS BIG BROTHER!

So what do you think? Who is going tonight? Is this season a replay of Big Brother 9? Sure feels that way to me…and I would bet once there is 10 house guests left the pairs will be disbanded and GAME ON! (I cannot wait)

With that being said, the diary room is now open for your vote! Please cast to evict by voting on the current poll over there –>

So who will be watching LIVE with us tonight?

Peace, BBBlogger

PS: Thanks for being a fan, Bloggergal1 is at ComicCon (so jealous) but when she gets back we will make sure to have her share her thoughts on the Big Brother 13 house with everyone. Have a great Big Brother 13 night!

Big Brother Veterans Still Control the BB House

by BBBlogger on July 17, 2011

As usual, the Big Brother show tonight started with a review of the past happenings. The new HG’s are very suspicious of each other since two in their ranks voted with the veterans. Everyone is accusing the other and they don’t reach the conclusion that the “traders” were Kalia and Shelly. This split has given the veterans a tremendous advantage.

The next section of show was from BBAD. Brendan and Dom acting like idiots in front of a lot of people. I truly believe that BB forces the HG’s to make fools of themselves to try to “entertain” us.

Next was the Have/Have Not competition. This time the couple who wins has to pick two of the three remaining couples to be Have Nots. Brendan and Rachel win (again). They choose Cassie/Shelly and Dom/Adam to be this week’s Have Nots. America chose Jelly Beans and Beef Jerky for the Have Nots. I love jelly beans, but I guess they would make you sick after awhile huh? Of course, Adam is thrilled with the beef jerky. I just knew he would be.

Jordan nominates Adam/Dominic for eviction. Prior to doing that, both Cassie and Dominic went up to the HOH to plead their case. Since Wednesday is the veto competition, it doesn’t do me any good talking about who might get voted off until then. So, commenters…get ready, get set, go!!! Bloggergal

A Boring Big Brother Blog!

by BBBlogger on July 16, 2011

I feel like I should post a blog so that you guys can start your comments on a new page. The thing is what the heck do I talk about? If you read the comments you know who was put on the block. No big surprise there. POV will happen today. Will one of the two nominated throw the competition to try to get that golden key?

I’m trying to get excited about this BB13, but it’s really, really boring so far. None of the HG’s have won me over yet and that includes the veterans. I have to admit looking at Jeff at least gives me a slight smile 🙂 Is anyone feeling a connection to any of these HG’s? I don’t think they even feel a connection to each other at this point.

As usual, it looks like Big Brother producers are pulling the strings to have the show move in the direction that they want it to. Having Rachel pick the order for the HOH competition shows that. Evel Dick was definitely their ace in the hole and losing him just deflated the whole season. I say they should come up with a new twist–for instance, how about bringing back another couple? Matt Hoffman and Ragan Fox would love to be back on the show I bet.

Okay…start those comments afresh! Have a great Saturday and Sunday. See you after the show…Bloggergal

Sorry I didn’t get the chance to write the blog yesterday. Just to let you know, in May, my husband was laid off from his job that he held for 34 years! He’s a distribution center manager (warehouses)…so if you here of anything, give me a holler. Why am I telling you this? Well, sometimes I just can’t get my act together to write the blog. That’s what happened last night.

I’m sure there’s no one out there that doesn’t know what happened at the Veto competition or after, but I’ll quickly summarize. The veto competition included Brendan and Rachel, Keith and Porsche and Jeff and Jordan. Keith and Porsche were both trying to throw the Veto because they both think the other would be voted off tonight. I’m not sure if Jeff and Jordan were trying their best to win, but frankly they sucked! That resulted in Brendan and Rachel winning the Veto competition easily. Rachel kept the nominations the same and so tonight (it’s only 6:39 p.m. in California) either Keith or Porsche will be the first to leave Big Brother.

To be continued after the show…Evel Dick was given the opportunity to talk to the HG’s during the live show. Danielle’s face was interesting, wasn’t it? I don’t really agree with people living their private lives on national TV, but it’s their choice. Julie backed Dani into a corner, but then backed off when Danielle was visibly uncomfortable.

Keith has the unfortunate distinction of being the first HG voted out of the house. The vote was 6 to 4. Kalia, Shelly and Adam voted with the veteran players leaving Dom, Cassie and Lawon hanging out to dry. When Julie interviewed Keith, he was very shocked that he was “played” by the house. The house guests goodbye messages to Keith were fun, especially Lawon and Porsche.

The HOH competition was mini-golf. Julie said that Rachel picked names for the order of the contestants and I (suppose?) that it worked out that all the newbies golfed before the veterans. At the end of the newbies turns, Dominic and Kalia were tied with a 6. Jordan was the first of the veterans to golf. She scored a 3. Jeff and Brendan promptly threw the competition to give Jordan the win. This makes the second week with the veterans clearly in charge and Dominic’s face spoke volumes. He and Cassie are especially in trouble this next week.

I very rarely watch Big Brother After Dark, but every now and then I’ll fast forward through parts of it. I happened to catch the part where the HG’s were playing “Big Booty”. They showed a minute or two of that on tonight’s live show. Brendan’s expressions while playing that game are priceless. He’s like a five-year-old at Disneyland. If you get a chance, check that out. You should definitely get a laugh or two out of it.

That’s it for tonight. See you on Sunday. If you live on the West Coast beware of Carmageddon! Bloggergal
