Big Brother 15 — Faster, Clownie! Kill! Kill!

by Lisa Marie Bowman on July 8, 2013

Hi everyone!

I’m sorry that this update is late.  My Mondays are always crazier than Aaryn (and that’s pretty crazy!) and this one has been crazier than usual.

Before we got to last night’s show, let’s recap what’s going on in the house.  Ringworm Boy won the P.O.V. and he’s going to use it to veto his nomination.  Yesterday, Elissa seemed pretty definite that she was going to nominate Nick in his place.  Nick even confronted Elissa in the Have Not Room and told her that he did vote to keep her but Elissa  refused to believe him.  (If Elissa was smart, she would nominate either Amanda or Kaitlin.  I know some HGs don’t trust Nick but there’s no way they’re going to keep Elissa over him.)

By the way, I know that they say Jeremy just got a spider bite but I’m going to keep calling him Ringworm Boy because I’m sure he’s had ringworm at some point in his life.  (And, to be honest, it would freak me out even more to know that somebody got that serious of a spider bite in the BB house.  Agck!  Of course, I hate spiders….)

Also, after spending the day listening to RWB tell her that certain HGs are hoping to get rid of her, Amanda decided to wander around topless with only band-aids over her nipples.  Afterward, she gave the band-aids to McCrae, who says that he might sell them on EBay after the show is over.  Get your credit cards ready, boys!

As for last night’s episode, it was entertaining in a “Wow, Aaryn’s crazy” sort of way.  It didn’t really tell us anything that we didn’t already know but here’s the five highlights:

1) We got to see how the HoH competition played out.  What we saw certainly is not going to stop anyone from believing that Aaryn and Ringworm Boy cheated.  In fact, the whole competition seemed to be rather oddly edited in that the show always seemed to cut away whenever RWB and Aaryn got near each other.  As a result, we never saw RWB and Aaryn exchange cups but we never saw them pouring the sauce from one cup to another either.  With all the controversy that’s come up over the cheating, if Big Brother had footage that proved that Aaryn and RWD didn’t cheat, I think we would have seen it last night.

However, we did get to see how Aaryn selected this week’s Have Nots.  “Who voted out David?”  When Aaryn said that, I just wanted somebody to yell back, “Aaryn, you only knew him for 7 days!”

2) Jessie, who is apparently still upset that — despite being the prettiest girl ever! — she still doesn’t have a showmance, followed Nick around like a pathetic little puppy dog.  Nick, who was obviously not interested, responded by constantly trying to walk away from Jessie.  “I think he’s scared of me,” Jessie said.  At this point, I got on twitter and tweeted, “Jessie …. sweetie …. no…just no…”

3) We finally got to hear Aaryn and Gina Marie make a few of their racist comments.  A lot of people praised Big Brother for finally acknowledging what the entire world already knows but, to be honest, I would have been more impressed if they had shown everyone else (Kaitlin, Spencer, Candice, David, Jeremy) who has been caught making a racist or homophobic comment instead of just singling out Aaryn and Gina Marie.  By making it look like those two were the only ones making comments in the house, that lets the rest of the house off the hook.

(A lot of what Candice had to say about Andy being gay was a hundred times worse than what Aaryn said.)

4) Finally, we got to see Aaryn’s HoH room and we were introduced to her favorite stuffed animal — Clownie!  Clownie is a stuffed clown and I don’t blame Elissa for leaving the HoH room because, seriously, Clownie was scary!

And yet, he seemed like exactly the type of thing Aaryn would have in her bedroom…

5) Finally, at the end of the show, they announced that on Wednesday’s day, a former Big Brother favorite is going to return to the house and is going to have a message for the players.  Who do you think it’s going to be?  In the comments section under the previous post, I argued that it was either going to be Frank or Ragan but I could be wrong.

I have dance class tonight and my boyfriend, who was visiting his family for the 4th of July holiday, returned this morning.  (Yay!)  So, I’m going to be taking a break from the crazy Aaryn, Ringworm Boy, Clownie, and the rest of the HGs for the rest of the day.

I’ll be back tomorrow and, as always, I look forward to reading what everyone has to say. 🙂

Stay supple,

Lisa Marie

Big Brother 15 — Ringworm Boy Triumphant

by Lisa Marie Bowman on July 7, 2013

Hi, everyone!

To kinda quote Julie Chen, “Yesterday was a day of twists and turns at the Big Brother House…”

First off, Elissa used her MVP powers to nominate Jeremy for eviction.

Jeremy, who might have ringworm (but that still isn’t stopping Kaitlin from climbing all over him — ewwwwww!) then went on to win the power of veto.  Judging from some of the comments in the house, it appears that the Veto competition had something to do with balancing a bunch of stuffed animals.  Well, regardless, Elissa probably should have nominated one of the physically weaker players, someone like Kaitlin and Gina Marie….

But apparently, Elissa will get the chance to do just that.  This makes no sense to me but the MVP not only gets to nominate a player but she also gets to nominate a replacement if her original nomination is vetoed.

As of right now, it looks like Elissa is going to nominate Kaitlin for eviction, which would actually be a smart move on her part because Kaitlin isn’t a member of the MC.  Kaitlin, for her part, is just happy that Ringworm Boy is going to get to stay in the house.

Ringworm Boy, meanwhile, is proudly strutting around with his veto necklace hanging around his germ-infested neck.

Seriously, I would never want to touch that veto necklace after knowing that Jeremy had handled it.  Yucky!

In other news: McCrae apparently said that he hopes that he and Amanda get evicted and go to the sequester house because he’d rather have sex with Amanda then win $500,000.  Apparently, it hasn’t occurred to him that he’s going to be a lot more appealing with $500,000 than with just his pizza boy paycheck.

(Also, if he’s that desperate, he and Amanda should just sneak off during the Veto meeting.  It’s not as if the live feeds aren’t down half the day…)

Jeremy has apparently been so aggressive in telling his fellow HGs that they better vote out Elissa that he’s actually received a warning from the producers that verbal threats are not acceptable in the BB House.

Elissa is apparently concerned that Aaryn’s Adderall is giving her super powers or something.  I know that a lot of you guys like Elissa and I certainly like her more than Aaryn and Ringworm Boy but honestly, I’m kinda hoping she gets voted out this week.  Mentally, she doesn’t really seem to be in the game and she’s mostly distracting people from going after the real threats in the game.

As for Howard, he’s apparently off praying somewhere.

Seriously, where has Howard been?

Remember, the show is on CBS tonight so we can see how they handle the whole Aaryn and Ringworm Boy cheating thing!

As for me, I had a good time laying out by the pool yesterday but I’m a redhead and redheads don’t tan as much as we just burn.  Oh well!

Stay supple,

Lisa Marie

Big Brother 15 — The Nominations

by Lisa Marie Bowman on July 6, 2013

Hi, everyone.

Aaryn made her nominations last night and supposedly, she cried while doing them.  Jeremy swears that Aaryn gave the greatest nomination speech in the history of Big Brother (a show that Jeremy claims to have never heard of before actually being cast).  And who did Aaryn nominate?

Elissa and Helen!

That’s right.  Despite spending a lot of time asking everyone who she should nominate to go up on the block with Elissa and despite mentioning everyone from Candice to Nick to even Jeremy at one point (on the theory that Jeremy would be able to keep Elissa from winning POV), Aaryn went with Helen.

Elissa has also won MVP for a second time.  They really should just call that award the Favorite Sister Award because, gamewise, Elissa’s only strategy seems to be getting her sister to ask people on twitter to vote for her.

Elissa is talking about nominating Jeremy.  On the one hand, that makes sense because Jeremy is a physical threat and everyone hates him.  However, what we the viewers know, is that Jeremy is a part of the secret super alliance, the Moving Company and the MC will probably stick together and get rid of Elissa instead.

And, from a game point of view, that’s exactly what the MC should do.  Elissa is an absurdly powerful player who doesn’t seem to have any real strategy for how she’s planning on using her MVP powers.  The main (and only) reason that I ever really find myself rooting for Elissa is because Aaryn, Jeremy, and Gina Marie are all so loathsome.

Anyway, that’s pretty much it for today.  I enjoyed reading everyone’s comments yesterday.  Thank you everyone for keeping this site active, fun, and informative!

Everyone have a great Saturday.  I’m off to go do a very Big Brotherish type of thing and spend the entire day laying out by the pool.

Stay supple,

Lisa Marie

Hi!

For reasons that I’ll explain at the end of this post, I didn’t actually sleep last night so this post might not be my best.  However, I wanted to make sure to give you guys a new page for your comments and tell you what little went on in the BB house on Independence Day.

Basically, our new HoH, Aaryn, spent most of yesterday whining about the heat.  Apparently, the HC wasn’t working in the HoH room and Aaryn spent most of the day complaining about it.  (Considering how hot it has been out in California, I would probably have complained about it as well if I was in Aaryn’s jackboots.  Still, Aaryn and I are both Texas girls and, as such, we should both be able to handle heat with a little more class.  Seriously, listening to Aaryn, you would have thought that the AC stopped specifically to spite her.  Or as Aaryn put it, this should be the best week of her life but now, it’s the worst.)

Also, Aaryn is still struggling to figure out who voted for David and who didn’t.  She, Jeremy, and Gina Marie are determined to get Elissa out of the house this week.  Gina Marie, in particular, seems to be obsessed and scared of Elissa’s MVP powers.  Meanwhile, Jeremy seems to be throwing his weight around more than ever, telling McCrae and Amanda that if they can’t get Elissa out of the house than they’re going to start coming after the people who are protecting Elissa.

So, Elissa is going up on the block but Aaryn still doesn’t seem to be quite sure who is going to be joining her.  I’ve heard her mention Candice, Helen, Nick, and Jessie as possible nominees.  Aaryn and her allies are really paranoid that Elissa could win the veto.

In other news, Kaitlin was apparently peeing blood during the afternoon and had a visit with the show’s medical team.  Nick theorized that Kaitlin is suffering from kidney stones but, as far as I know, there hasn’t been any official word yet.

Also, the HGs had a 4th of July pizza party, which I assume we’ll probably see on Sunday’s show, mostly because the live feeds were down for most of it.  From what the HGs said after the live feeds came back up, there was apparently drama that happened when Amanda felt that Jessie was hitting on McCrae and Jessie felt that Elissa was spreading rumors that Jessie and Judd were now a couple.  What’s interesting about that is, to judge from the live feeds, Judd seems to be believe that he and Jessie are a couple now as well.

I think the nominations are today so we’ll see who Aaryn decided to throw up on the block with Elissa.

On a personal note, did everyone have a good 4th?  I did.  I got together my sisters and my niece and my nephew and we all went down to Breckenridge Park and watched the fireworks.  And then we came back to my house, we had a big sleep-over, and I ended up staying up so late talking to everyone that I just realized that I never actually bothered to get any sleep last night.  So, as soon as I click publish, I’m going to get a an hour or two of rest. 🙂

Stay supple,

the very sleepy Lisa Marie

Happy Independence Day!

So, here’s the basics of what happened last night with both the live show and the HoH competition:

The Live Show started off on a grim note.  Julie was not smiling.  The audience was clearly hostile whenever Aaryn, David, Jeremy, or Gina Marie appeared on screen.  Though CBS is still refusing to broadcast any of the remarks that we all know have been made in the house, it was also obvious that Aaryn is no longer going to be getting the whole country girl edit that she got in the previous two episodes.  Obviously, CBS wants to take advantage of her new role as villain without admitting that they’re basically giving a spoiled, homophobic racist a chance to win $500,000.

While we didn’t get to see any footage of Aaryn saying any of the stuff that caused Zephyr to drop her, we did get to see a lot of Jeremy.  We saw him making out with Kaitlin and we saw a little of fight with Amanda over the red wine.  We did not see him wiping his ass with Elissa’s hat.  Again, it’s not that I would want to see that but CBS again seems to want to take advantage of Jeremy’s villain status without telling viewers the full story of what a disgusting  bully Jeremy truly is.

Then it was time to vote.  Jessie gave a rather bland speech.  David gave a typically David speech.  Elissa — foolishly, I think — says, “Nobody comes between me and my Big Brother game…”  After those three speeches, I would have been happy to see any of them go home.

The voting breaks down like this:

Amanda — David

Aaryn — Elissa

Nick — David

Candice — Elissa

Spencer — David

Kaitlin — Elissa

Helen — David

Howard — David

Gina Marie — Elissa

Judd — David

Jeremy — Elissa

Andy — David

When Aaryn cast her vote to evict Elissa, the entire studio audience booed and you could tell by the shocked look on Aaryn’s face that she heard them.  (And Aaryn later told Gina Marie and Jeremy that she heard the booing.)  Though a production manager then went, “Shhhhhh!” and got the audience to shut up, the audience pretty much screwed their favorite Elissa with all of their cheering and booing.  The house is already jealous that Elissa is Rachel’s sister and most of them are worried that she’s going to win MVP every week.  By cheering and booing, the audience pretty much confirmed those fears.

(I don’t really blame the audience as much as I blame CBS and the show’s producers who really don’t seem to understand just how much controversy this season of Big Brother has stepped into).

But anyway, David was voted out on a 7-5 vote.  Aaryn looked angry.  I’m tempted to say that David looked shocked but David always kinda looks like that.  Julie attempted to interview David.  David didn’t have much to say.  He did ask who the MVP that nominated him was.  Oddly, Julie refused to tell him.

Then, it was time to pick a new HoH and guess who won?

Aaryn!

Guess how she won?

By cheating!

You can find the full details in the comments section of the previous post but basically it went like this:

The HGs were separated into teams of two.  (Even though the teams were supposedly selected at random, it seems convenient that Aaryn got to work with Jeremy.)  This is one of those fill-the-jugs competitions.  One teammate fills his cup with barbecue sauce.  He then pours the sauce into a cup being held by the second teammate.  The second teammate then runs down a slippery lane where she pours whatever sauce she has into a big jug and whichever team fills the jug first wins.  And then the 2 people on the team decide which one of them is going to be HoH.

(At least I think that’s how it worked.  Unfortunately, since the HGs are incapable of going 50 minutes without cursing, a lot of Julie’s explanation ended up getting muted.)

During the competition, instead of pouring from one cup to another, Jeremy and Aaryn simply switched out cups, which allowed them to finish first.  Jeremy allowed Aaryn to be HoH because that way, he can still compete for the title next week.

Now, seriously, this cheating — video of which is available on YouTube — would not have been tolerated on any of the other big reality shows.  If Aaryn and Jeremy had tried to do this on Survivor, you better believe Jeff Probst would have called them out and disqualified them from the rest of the competition.  If this had happened on the Amazing Race, they would have ended up with a 3 hour penalty at the check-in mat and Phil himself would have told them how disappointed he was in them.

However, on Big Brother 15, cheating like this wins Aaryn the key to the HoH room and the right to nominate two HGs who didn’t cheat for eviction!

Or, as Gina Marie put it once she was up in the HoH room with Aaryn and Jeremy, this is Aaryn’s way of giving the middle finger to everyone who booed her.  Aaryn added, “Suck my dick, America” and, as reported in the comments section of the previous post, asked America why they would want to send her home because, “what else are you going to look at all summer?”

BLEH!

Anyway, it is sounding like Aaryn is planning on nominating Elissa and Helen for eviction.  Hopefully, this week’s MVP will nominate either Gina Marie or Jeremy.

And that, sad to say, is the current state of affairs in the Big Brother house.

Oh well.  At least we get fireworks tonight!

Feeling independent,

Lisa Marie

Major Announcment from BBBlogger

by BBBlogger on July 3, 2013

…now that I have your attention! Before I get to the announcement, some thoughts about week 1!

1. Isn’t Lisa Marie doing an awesome job with blogging on our site! Be sure to keep telling her how much she rocks and that we appreciate her around here! I have known her for a few years now and she has been a great friend. Loving reading her posts and all of your awesome comments.

2. In case you did not hear, there were some crazy things said on the feeds. Big Brother Blog does not support, condone or agree with anything that any of these crazy house guest say.

However, isn’t that exactly why we are so addicted and watch Big Brother?? To see what will they say? What will they do? It is the essence of Big Brother. CBS knows this and they are probably excited for all the extra press it is creating! I just hope the house guests realize that what they say is extremely hateful and just wrong! Boggles my mind to be honest! (quote from Forest Gump, “Stupid is as stupid does!”)

(on a side note, it looks like Aaryn has been released from her modeling contract due to her comments!)

3. Tonight someone goes, McCrae is no longer HOH and the game will chance once again. Are you ready?

SO with that…here is BBBlogger’s announcement,

THE DIARY ROOM IS NOW OPEN!! (were you worried?)

Please report to the diary room and cast your vote for who you would like to see evicted out of the Big Brother 15 house this week! Either Jessie, David or Elissa!! (I would giggle if the MVP was evicted week 1)

Please comment below and cast your vote to evict! I love you all and thanks for being a part of Big Brother Blog year in and year out!

Peace, BBBlogger

PS: Maybe I should relax with the word “MAJOR” next time! See you all tonight!! BBBlogger is always watching!

Good morning, everyone!

I overslept so I’m about to have to run out the door but I wanted to make sure to give everyone a new post to comment under as we wait for and watch tonight’s live eviction.

It still looks like David is going to be go out the door but, after the events of the past three days (stealing red wine, acting like a condescending jerk on Tuesday’s show, wiping his ass with Elissa’s hat last night, and saying all sorts of things about his pseudo-girlfriend Kaitlin), I have to say that Jeremy is quite possibly the most disgusting houseguest in the history of Big Brother.

Seriously, every time I read about him doing something disgusting or I see his smug face, I just want to go into the house, slap him, and then leave.

(And he looks nothing like Taylor Lautner, either!)

Beyond the eviction, tonight is also the HoH competition!  It’s a little bit hard to keep straight of who is in which alliance (seriously, these HGs were really quick about forming a hundred different groups) but let’s hope that tonight’s competition is mental and not physical, if just because I think it’s funny whenever Jeremy, Aaryn, Jessie, and GinaMarie are forced to think.

Ciao, Lisa Marie

Big Brother 15 — Poor David!

by Lisa Marie Bowman on July 2, 2013

Happy Tuesday!

Poor David!  Not only is everyone on the outside making fun of his hair and not only is he about to be blind-sided tomorrow, but last night, Aaryn attempted to have a conversation with him about his ambitions and feelings and this led to Aaryn discovering that — surprise! — David doesn’t have any ambition nor many feelings either.

Aaryn proceeded to give David a hard time about his lack of concrete goals and, as she later told Gina Marie, she’s worried that she may have hurt his feelings.

Hurt feelings? Imagine how David is going to feel on Wednesday when he discovers that the majority of the house has been lying to him and he ends up getting voted out.

(Speaking of hurt feelings, Aaryn is apparently convinced that Candice sat on one of her hats and has been going on about it for a while now.  Maybe I should have called this post Poor Aaryn … just kidding!)

In other news, Amanda and McCrae do appear to be a couple now but I’m still not sure if this is an authetnic showmance or if Amanda is just fooling around with him because he’s the HoH and appears to be the most powerful person in the house right now.   One thing I do know for sure — largely because Amanda keeps bringing it up — is that she has a boyfriend outside of the house and she spent a lot of last night crying as she thought about he would react once he saw her with McCrae.

Amanda wasn’t the only person crying last night.  Helen cried because she misses her family.  Gina Marie cried because apparently, she doesn’t like the clothes that BB is forcing her to wear.  (“I just want to go home,” Gina Marie said repeatedly.)

There was a lot of trouble with live feeds either freezing or going down last night so something could have been missed but I think that pretty much covers most of last night’s “drama.”

Remember, the primetime show is on tonight so we can see the P.O.V. comp and ceremony, as well as  find out just how exactly they let Elissa know that she was MVP and how she came to nominate David for eviction.

Have a great Tuesday!

Lisa Marie (no relation to Gina Marie)

(P.S. I was planning on writing a long editorial about why this season’s HGs seem to be so much more crude, unlikable, and worthless as compared to previous seasons but I’m going to hold off on that until after the first eviction.  Occasionally, it seems like some HGs don’t really understand that they’re playing a game and that everything they say and do counts until after that first eviction.  As a result, it’s not uncommon to see previously worthless HGs redeem themselves after the first week.)

Big Brother 15 — So that’s why Candice got nominated!

by Lisa Marie Bowman on July 1, 2013

Hi, everyone!

So, did everyone get to see the show on Sunday?  For the most part, it was pretty much stuff that we already knew but it did shed some light on how McCrae ended up nominating Candice and Jessie for eviction.  Apparently, Candice upset a lot of people during the Have-Not challenge and Jessie was just disliked in general.  So, it seems like McCrae’s initial nominations were mostly about trying not to alienate anybody in the house.

(From what I’ve heard, Aaryn also lobbied for Candice’s nomination because she felt that Candice and Howard would automatically form an alliance because they’re both black.  Not surprisingly, the CBS show still portrayed Aaryn to look like a wholesome country girl but those of us who follow the live feeds know differently, don’t we?)

We also saw that, apparently, everyone in the house figured out that Elissa was Rachel’s sister pretty early and really, it’s not surprising.  When Elissa speaks, she looks just like Rachel!  We also saw Elissa telling McCrae that she was Rachel’s sister.

When you follow the live feeds or BBAD, it’s always kinda strange to watch the Sunday show because we already know what’s going to happen.  The Sunday show ended with Jessie and Candice nominated and Elissa feeling paranoid.  Of course, we know that things have changed in the house since then.  Elissa has since won MVP (and, I think, admitted to everyone who her sister is), Candice has been taken off the block, and it still looks like David is going to be leaving the house on Wednesday.

I guess we’ll get some more insight on how that all came about on Tuesday’s show.

I apologize for the late and short update today.  In between my day job and dance class in the evening, Monday is the most busy day of my week.  So, Monday updates will probably be late and short but don’t worry!  If you check out the comments section under each post, you’ll find some of the best BB watchers around and they’ll definitely fill you in on anything important that I may have missed!

Have a great Monday,

Lisa Marie

Big Brother 15 — POV Ceremony Results

by Lisa Marie Bowman on June 30, 2013

Good morning!  (Or maidn mhaith as those of us of Irish descent occasionally say).

Today’s big update is that yesterday, McCrae used the veto to take Candice off the block and replace her with Elissa.

He did this to placate the house, many of whom want Elissa gone because she’s Rachel’s sister and they’re worried that she’s going to win MVP every single week.  However, McCrae still wants David gone and, at last count, it appeared that he had convinced enough people to vote his way and send David off to meet Julie Chen on Wednesday night.

In other news, David (who seems to be oblivious about the fact that McCrae is looking to get rid of him) apparently flashed the BB live feeds twice last night and, among viewers, there’s all sort of speculation out there about just what type of relationship McCrae and Amanda may have.  Seriously, how many showmances can one Big Brother house take at one time?

Finally, on a strictly personal note, I’m from Texas and, therefore, I always hope that whenever one of my fellow Texas girls shows up on a show like Big Brother, Survivor, or the Amazing Race that they’ll represent both my homestate and my gender well.

So, imagine my disappointment this year!

First off, you had Jessie, who spent the entire first episode talking about how she deserves to win because she’s the prettiest girl in the house and basically just coming across as being extremely shallow and stuck on herself.

However, on the basis of that same episode, I thought maybe Aaryn would make my state proud.  However, once she gets in the house, she starts a showmance with David and then, last night, she talks about nominating Helen and Andy if she wins HoH because she doesn’t like “slanty eyes” and Andy is a “queer.”  I doubt that CBS will broadcast or even acknowledge her remarks (remember how they didn’t mention Amber’s anti-Semitic rant back in Season 8) but they’ll certainly be remembered by the people watching the live feeds and voting for MVP.

But anyway, ladies, way to not make my home state proud!

But enough of me rambling!  Remember, the show is on tonight so we can see what led to McCrae making his initial nominations.  I imagine we’ll also see the start of the Jeremy/Kaitlin and Aaryn/David showmances and maybe Jessie will talk about how all the girls hate her because she’s so pretty.

Okay, that’s it.  For more updates and anything I missed, be sure to read the comments below!

Love, Lisa Marie

P.S. Tomorrow, I have work during the day and dance class in the evening so Monday’s update might be a little late.
