Hi y’all!

So, normally, I try to open up the diary room on the night before the vote but it just occurred to me that this week, the first vote will be held on Tuesday.  And Monday is always my busiest day.  There are some Monday night when I don’t even get home until Tuesday morning.

So, guess what?

I’m going to go ahead and open up the diary room now and basically hand the keys of the site over to y’all.  

Now, before I officially open the diary room, let me just make sure that everyone is caught up.  They held the veto meeting earlier today and Cody did NOT use the veto.  So, Frankie and Victoria are still the nominees and Frankie is still the target.  However, Frankie is starting to catch on that he might not be as safe as he was originally assuming and he has basically been talking to Caleb and trying to turn him against Derrick.  

Which is kinda stupid because Caleb doesn’t have a vote.  If Frankie were smart, he’d be devoting more time to trying to turn Cody against Derrick.  If he could get Cody to vote for him then it would be a tie and Caleb would have to break it.  Watching Frankie, it’s kinda obvious that he got so used to being in charge of the house that he doesn’t really know how to save himself.  He’s never had to actually fight for his survival before.

Okay, so let’s open up the diary room!  Who do you vote to send to the jury house?

Hi, everyone!

Well, if you’re not a fan of Frankie’s, the good news today is that there is no news.  All this season, we’ve been complaining about how, after the veto ceremony, everyone would just stop playing and strategizing until it was time to vote and then they would all vote for the same person.

That odd passivity really worked out pretty well for Derrick and Frankie for most of this game.

But, this week, that passivity is Frankie’s downfall.  He did not win the veto, Derrick and Cody have already decided that they want to evict him, and that’s that.  Frankie has not made a deal with anyone.  Cody has not had a change of heart.  Derrick has not been overthinking the situation.  Even Victoria is playing it smart by keeping her mouth shut and not doing or saying anything that could make her into the target.

What’s really strange is that Frankie still doesn’t seem to understand that he’s the target.  Oh, don’t get me wrong.  He’s worried.  Anyone on the block at this point in the game would be worried.  And he’s still really mad that Caleb nominated him.  He’s been going on and on about it ever since the nominations were announced.  He’s even declared that he’s not going to call Caleb “Beast Mode” anytime.

But Frankie still seems to think that Victoria is going to be heading to the jury house on Tuesday.

Unfortunately, Derrick, Cody, and Caleb have been saying that they’re going to sit Frankie down before the show and tell him the truth.  So, Frankie will not be truly blindsided.  And, since Frankie is going to be evicted on Tuesday, we will not get to see it live.  And the audience will probably be made up of CBS employees so, sadly, we won’t get to hear him booed when he steps out the door.

(And no, Julie will not ask him about his rape comments.)

I imagine Ariana will probably be in the audience.  She’s the only reason that Frankie got into the house in the first place so I’m sure CBS won’t pass up another chance to try to promote her.  

Speaking of Ariana, after Frankie lost the veto, she and her family got pretty quiet on twitter.  No new hashtags from the Grandes.

But anyway, for now — no news is good news!

P.S. As for who is going to go home on Wednesday’s show — it’ll probably be Caleb.  Though he doesn’t realize it, he’s in a bad position because he can’t play for HoH.  While Caleb’s been enjoying the HoH bedroom, Cody, Derrick, and Victoria have become a pretty tight group of three.

P.P.S. I think it’s pretty clear right now that Derrick is on track to win this entire game.  If he’s in the final two with either Cody or Victoria, he’ll win and I’m not sure that either Cody or Victoria is smart enough to realize this.

Hi, everyone!

Quick post tonight because it’s Friday and I’m about to head out the door but I wanted to let you guys know the news that we’ve all been waiting for!

They played for the POV today.

FRANKIE DID NOT WIN!

Cody won!  

Though it certainly wasn’t what the Big Brother producers were intending, the reset button has basically destroyed Frankie’s game.  In fact, the entire game has probably really hurt Frankie’s career.  Ariana was trying get #FrankieWinPOV to trend on twitter earlier tonight but instead, all of the true Big Brother fans responded with #AnyoneButFrankie.  #AnyoneButFrankie has been trending worldwide for a few hours now!

So now, the plan does seem to be to vote out Frankie.  The Big Brother producers tried to throw Frankie a lifeline by telling Frankie and Derrick that, if they took each other to the final two, the winner would get extra money.  But apparently, Derrick doesn’t care enough about that extra money to risk going to the final two with Frankie.

And you better believe that Derrick will do his best to keep Cody from using that veto.  Because if Cody does, Derrick is literally the only HG left who can be put up.

So, as of right now, it looks like Frankie is going to be sent to the jury house on Tuesday and that Derrick could very well get through the entire film without being nominated even once!

Okay, that’s my good news of the night!

(Unless you’re a Frankie fan, I guess…)

Hi everyone!

Well, today, I am quoting one of my favorite former houseguests, Jessica from Big Brother 8!  Booyah!

First off, the jurors reentered the house and apparently trashed the place!  Good for them!  If nothing else, that means that we’ll get to see them on Sunday’s show and that’s a good thing because, as we all know, all of the interesting and fun people are in the jury house now.  Booyah!

Apparently, the trashing was part of a luxury competition.  Why are they having a luxury competition this late in the game?  I have no idea.  Maybe they ran out of things to do or maybe the producers realized that we — as viewers — need something to distract us from how much much we hate the final five.  But anyway, they had a competition and Victoria won it — which makes two competitions in a row that Frankie has lost.  Booyah!

Add to that, the most ridiculed person in the house won something!  Booyah!  Seriously, I know Victoria isn’t a great player or even a good player but I do get tired of the show focusing on making fun of her as opposed to letting us see the real Frankie.  So Booyah for Victoria actually winning something.

And finally, Caleb announced his nominations today.  Now, you remember how I predicted that there was no way that Caleb would nominate Frankie.  Well, it turns out I was wrong.  Frankie tried to talk Caleb into nominating Derrick and Victoria but instead, Caleb listened to Derrick and nominated Frankie and Victoria.  Booyah!

Now, before we get too excited, there’s still a veto ceremony to get through.  The good thing about the reset button is that it led to Frankie getting nominated.  The bad thing about the reset button is that it’s going to allow Frankie to compete in the same veto competition that he won last week.

So, no Booyah to that.

But, as of right now, it really does appear that Frankie has to win that veto or else he is going to be sent out of the house on Tuesday night.  And even if Frankie does win the veto, that doesn’t necessarily mean that Victoria is going to be voted out.  It seems that all of the boys have realized that Victoria would be the easiest person to beat in the final two.  

Which leads to some fun speculation.  Such as, let’s say that Frankie wins the veto and then convinces Caleb to nominate Derrick and then Derrick is sent to the jury house.  Well, all of the members of the jury respect Derrick, even if they don’t like him.  They would have voted for him in a final two situation.

But, if it was Caleb, Cody, or Frankie sitting next to Victoria, I could see the jury getting a lot more bitter.  What if they all voted for Victoria just out of spite?  It’s a long shot but then again, that’s pretty much how Ian beat Dan at the end of Big Brother 14.

But anyway, for now, I’m just happy that Frankie is panicking.

Hi y’all!

Well, what did everyone think of the reset show?  I usually try not to curse too much on twitter, just because I have a lot of followers who follow me for a lot of different reasons and some people are more sensitive to language than others.  And I’m always aware that, along with representing myself on twitter, I’m also often representing the various sites that I write for so I always try to be a little bit careful with what I write.  In general, I don’t talk about religion or politics and I usually do not curse.  But, oh my God, tonight’s show really tested my resolve…

Seriously!

First off, the entire show was massively dragged out.  I mean, don’t get me wrong.  I was happy to see inside of the jury house and I got a big kick out of seeing how the other jurors reacted when they saw Christine.  And I was impressed with the way that Victoria totally fooled Frankie with her fake tears.  (I agree with some of you — if Victoria was just a little bit more mature and a little less insecure and a little less despised by the people who put edit together each episode of Big Brother, she’d probably be a much stronger player.  She can be clever when she has to but, far too often, she chooses to instead just float through the game.)  As always, I was happy to see Dan Gheesling return to the Big Brother set and I agreed with almost everything he said.

But that reset button…

Okay, I don’t want to spend too much time (or expend too much anger) on this twist but seriously, I have so many issues with the way that they handled the reset button.

First off, you could tell that Derrick was not happy to learn that he would not be eligible to play for HoH but Frankie would.  And I totally think that Derrick had every right to be angry.

Secondly, I distinctly remember — and I know that some of you have already pointed this out in the comments under the previous post — Julie saying that, on tonight’s show, the entire week would be replayed in an hour.  In other words, it would be just like a double eviction episode with the HGs competing for HoH, nominating being made, the veto comp, the veto ceremony, the eviction, and then another HoH ceremony.  So, once again, it would appear that the Big Brother producers changed the rules after having already set them.

Third, the HGs are repeating the exact same HoH and veto competitions?  Really?  HOW DOES THAT MAKE ANY SENSE!?

Anyway, the good thing is that Frankie did not win HoH again.  The bad thing is that Caleb did win HoH and he seems to be pretty reluctant about nominating Frankie for eviction.  So, it wouldn’t surprise me if he simply renominates Cody and Victoria.  And then we’ll have to go through the exact same veto comp all over again and … 

Well, let’s just say that I wish the reset button had shown up a few weeks ago when it could have actually made a difference.

Oh well!

Here’s how the week is scheduled (for now):

The jurors are apparently going to visit the house at some point and I guess we’ll get to see that on Sunday.  Maybe the show’s producers have figured out that all of the interesting HGs are now in the jury house.

On Tuesday, someone will be evicted.

On Wednesday, someone else will be evicted — giving us our final three.

And we’ll see what happens!  If I had to make a guess, I’d say we’re going to see a final two of Derrick and Frankie.  And, judging from what we heard at the jury house, it looks like Derrick is the clear favorite to win.

Hi y’all!

Well, I’m going to go ahead and open up the diary room.  Keeping in mind that it’s not going to make a bit difference who gets voted out because the reset button was push, who would you vote to evict?

VICTORIA, who — well, heck, I can’t think of anything to say about Victoria.  She’s just kinda there.

Since the reset button has been pushed — *sigh.* Bleh bleh bleh bleh.  Can you tell how unenthusiastic I am about this twist?

ANYWAY —

Since the reset button has been pushed, they’ll do the whole week over again on Wednesday night.  Frankie will again get compete for HoH.  Derrick will not.  Does this seem like a blatant ploy to allow Frankie to be HoH two times in a row?  It sure does.  If, as has been rumored, it does turn out that they’re doing to the exact same HoH and veto competitions all over again, I will freaking scream.  However, I don’t think they will because both the HoH competition and the Veto comp were timed and I don’t think they’d have time to fit both of them into 44 minutes of screentime.

But, honestly, considering who we have in the Top 5, I imagine that, reset or not, Victoria is going to be evicted tomorrow night.

We’ll find out tomorrow!  

For now, as much as I hate to do it, I have to vote to evict Cody.  I like looking at him but, sad as it may be, Victoria is the only girl left in the house and considering how misogynistic this season has been, I have to root for her to win.  Yes, I know that Victoria is a terrible player and that it would be a total joke for her to win but honestly, it would be the perfect ending for this particular season.

Go Victoria!

Hi, y’all:

Well, there’s nothing going on inside that house.  Frankie won the veto.  He didn’t use the veto.  Everyone is planning on voting out Victoria and Victoria seems to know it.  Derrick did tell Victoria that, if there is a twist that keep Victoria from going to jury, then he’s planning on going after Frankie.

Little does Derrick know that there is a twist that might save Victoria but, at the same time, it’s not going to do him much good because he’s still not going to get to compete for HoH.  Isn’t it interesting that this sudden reset twist will keep the one guy who was planning on going after Frankie from competing for HoH?  

And I don’t care what production says about how the button resets the entire week and how this week essentially is not happening.  It looks like Frankie will be the fist person to be given the chance to win HoH two weeks in a row and that really doesn’t sit right with me.  If Derrick was also being allowed to compete, it wouldn’t bother me as much but, as of right now, this seems like one of the most blatant examples of Big Brother favoritism ever.

I mean, when you get right down to it — the reset button really does seem like it was mostly put into the house to keep Frankie safe.  Everyone was talking about putting Frankie on the block and CBS suddenly added a mysterious button that would allow Frankie to come off the block and give him another chance.

I know that Alison Grodner claims that she and her staff work out a schedule of all the challenges and all the twists before the season starts.  But, honestly, if that reset button was a true twist, it would have shown up in the house long before now. 

But there is some good news!  For one thing, this season is nearly over and both Survivor and the Amazing Race will be starting soon!  Yay!

Finally, a quick reminder, just in case anyone needs to be reminded: Big Brother is on Tuesday night now and the eviction episode will be on Wednesday.  So, tomorrow, we will get to see how Frankie won that veto.  

Yay, I guess.

Hi, y’all:

So, as we all know, Frankie is the current Head of Household and he has nominated Cody and Victoria for eviction.  His target is Victoria and blah blah blah.  It’s pretty much the same stuff that’s been going on since the game began.  

Anyway, they held the veto competition on Saturday and guess who won?

Frankie!

Maybe he had to solve another maze.  Or maybe the competition was to see who could answer the most questions about Ariana Grande.  But, for whatever reason, hateful Frankie won the veto.

Anyway, they held the veto competition earlier today and it was actually on the live feeds.  Victoria and Cody both made the exact same speeches that they’ve made every other time that they’ve been on the block.  Frankie then said that he loved them both but, at this point in the game, he simply could not use the veto.

And again, none of it matters!  The button has been pushed.  This week isn’t actually happening.

As for tonight’s episode — well, at least we’ll get to see Jeff propose to Jordan. 🙂

Hi y’all:

Well, the bad news is that, after sending both Nicole and Christine to the jury house on Thursday night, Frankie once again won Head of Household.  When it came time to do the nominations, he once again did the predictable thing.  He nominated Cody and Victoria, with the target being Victoria.

Why Victoria?

Well, because she’s a girl, after all.  And the Big Brother house might as well have crudely painted sign over the front door that reads, “No girls allowed!”

The veto comp will be played tomorrow and I’ll be curious who Frankie will nominate if either Cody or Victoria comes off the block.  He would have to choose between either Caleb or Derrick and I think he’d put Caleb before he even thought of going after Derrick.

(It wouldn’t surprise me if Derrick gets through the entire game without having once been nominated.)

But you know what?

None of this really matters because last night, the 5 remaining HGs took a vote about whether or not to push the button.  Derrick, ever the pragmatist, argued against it.  Frankie, who claims to be a Big Brother superfan but, in an earlier conversation, seemed to be confused as to who exactly Dr. Will was, argued for pushing the button.  

And that just proves something I’ve always felt — when it comes to strategy, Derrick is a thousand times smarter than Frankie.  When you’ve got all the power and you’re that close to winning (and this was true in Frankie’s case before he even won HoH), you don’t just do things in order to do them.  You don’t do something (like pushing a button) unless you’re absolutely sure what the consequences are going to be.  Instead, you try to keep everything the way that it is.

But, Frankie argued that they should push the button, Derrick was outvoted, and all five HGs pushed the button together.  A voice said something like, “It just takes one,” and that was pretty much it.  The HGs have been wondering what pushing the button did.  Little do they (especially Frankie) realize that, by pushing the button, they’ve pretty much negated this entire week.

It doesn’t matter who the HoH is or who the nominees are or who wins the veto.  Because, come Wednesday, it’s all going to be reset!

And, finally, Jeff and Jordan dropped by the house earlier today and, as you have all probably heard by now, Jeff finally asked Jordan to marry him!  Awwwwwwwww!
