Back from the Tuesday night airing of our favorite summer show, and as Lisa noted in the comments on the last post, we do have an update as to the surprise.
Daniele was born on Aug. 20, 1986, which means she turns 21 next Monday. The other houseguests — except for Dick, who according to Jameka didn’t show up for Daniele’s birth because of some intoxication issue (who knows) — don’t know that Daniele is under age.
It used to be that Big Brother would allow people under 21 in the house. There have been some 19 year olds for example, but the rule now is that you have to be 21 or at least turn 21 during the competition. And what looked to be a special power now looks to be a special treat for Daniele’s special day.
Somebody whose name starts with “A,” almost certainly Big Brother executive producer Alison Grodner, has informed Daniele that she’ll be getting a letter. Daniele thinks it’s from Nick, and I’m not sure why she wouldn’t think it was from Kris.
Sorry, Kris, she’s pretty much done with you, man.
There was also talk of a margarita party, although I think it might have been Daniele wishing that they would give her a margarita party. Nevertheless, if Dick had found a new power, you wouldn’t have known it by their private conversation on Tuesday night.
He’s pretty sure he’s headed home, and although he had a discussion with Eric and Jessica planned soon, there’s no guarantee that the momentum we thought was there for evel Dick is actually there. If I had to speculate right now, I’d bet my life that Dick has two votes — Eric and Daniele.
I’d bet my life that Jameka will vote to evict Dick, and I’d bet a set of golf clubs (cheap ones) that Amber votes to evict Dick.
Everybody else is up in the air. My hunch right now is that Dick has some work to do to get Jen and Zach, and if I can try to get into the head of Zach the Creeper, I suspect his strategy is to split Dick and Daniele.
He’s looking to ensure his safety week to week, and if he can please the group this week, he can stay safe next week. I believe that to be his line of thinking, which is why I think he’s not inclined to evict Dustin just yet.
There’s plenty of time still left until the live eviction on Thursday, and we’ll open the big-brother-blog.com diary room (tomorrow, not yet) for you to cast your vote to evict either Dick or Dustin. At 11 p.m. CDT on Wednesday, I’ll tally the figures, and we’ll issue our writ of habeas evictus before Thursday morning.
In the meantime, Daniele is really worried that the producers will tell the other houseguests that she’s just now turning 21. She’s begged them to keep it a secret. Let’s ask the blog — do you think the show producers should tell the other houseguests that she’s just now turning 21? Do you think it’s even a big deal that Daniele fibbed about her age? (Daniele seems to think it is).
I don’t understand why she won’t tell people’ she’s 20, what advantage or disadvantage does it provide???

In my opinion, I think Daniele merely feels self-conscious about being the only person under 21. Everyone else gets to drink but her … however, I think it goes beyond that. I think she feels self-conscious about being alone.
It’s not a knock. She latched onto Nick. Then when she had to, she latched onto Dick. In her world, it’s not that she always has to have somebody else, it’s that she seems (in my estimation) to really fear being alone, standing out, etc.
And if the producers reveal it in their birthday surprise to her, it would just make her stand out even more, which I think makes her uncomfortable. Now, is it a big deal?
Not to me, the viewer. I know where she’s coming from … but I am willing to bet something is made of it in the house. Just a hunch.

I just wish the Cyrpt Keeper (Daniele) would shut up. She really need to grow up. She run in a room like a 2 year old, screams something, pull her hair behind her ears and cry. Then run back out when someone tries to respond. She can never deny her dad because she is a small clone of him. I still don’t get why people think ED is such a great player. Yeah he tell the truth 95% of the time but only because he is not there to win money he is there to once again force a relationship with a person that doesn’t want to be bothered with him. It is real easy to be a “Good Player” if you consider a good player as someone who run around screaming silly things to people and hiding behind – “I’m getting into their head – Whatever! Jameka was right when she said that Daniele uses her dad’s antics to her benefit.

Yeah, I agree sooner! But, personally??? Danielle isn’t a drinker to begin with, although she DID say a Margurita party sounded good at this point. I think if they get to know her age they will be jealous as to how mature she is for her age -MUCH more mature than the rest of them.
And, Zach just makes me SO nervous – he seems to be just floundering lately. And the NERD HERD are completely convinced they are running the house and fully intend on keeping the FAMILY together until it’s down to just THEM and MAYBE that’s when the UGLY begins – and they will implode!!!
At this point, who knows – but, I’ll tell you – I cast as many votes as they would take from my IP address (IF that is the determining factor as to how many you are allowed ) against Dustin because he just flat out makes me ILL! Jameka has GOT to be next IF Dustin goes. I am really dreading the next few weeks if Dustin stays – in fact, to be honest, I don’t think I have much interest in the show if Dick is gone!
Sooner, I totally agree with you – age is NOTHING!!!! BUT, not everyone agrees with us on that, I’m sure.

Zach is such a WOOSE, he has an opportunity to help Dick since Dick has been the ONE in the house who has been there for him and has even been a friend to him – he is NOW singelhandedly putting the noose around Dick’s neck – he’s disgusting!! Is it just me or does Zach talk in so may circles that you feel llike you’re on a tilt a whirl? I don’t care what he is being told, if Dick goes, he will most likely be on the block next week with Danielle. Dick is his way to stay in the game a bit longer.
And just a question here? Does anyone but me remember a conversation that Jameka had with Dick several weeks ago while they were outside where she gave him her word that she would never, ever vote him out? Now the good Christian has gone through this entire game so far saying she has to stick to her word no matter what, and has. So if she votes out Dick, is she not going back on her word. I even heard her say a couple of nights ago that he was still getting her vote but she was sorry she gave her word? Did my brain shut down or am I remembering correctly?
I personally agree with all that it is no big deal about Dani’s age, however there are some in the house, such as Amber and Jameka, who will jump on it as her being a liar, and what else is she hiding. I can understand her not wanting the secret out, but not sure why she didn’t give her age to begin with.

Man, Kathy, I’m SO with you. I’d freak if Dani’s age is an issue and if it is – it is because these PEOPLE are losers! Yeah, I seem to remember SOMETHING about Jeameka and Dick but not exactly what! And Zach has gone around in so many circles, like YOU said, that he doesn’t even know where he stands anymore – he TOTALLY lost credibility for ME tonight!!!
GOSH, Dusin – I just can’t even listen to his voice anymore – that’s why I watched something else tonight. Am watching Eric and Jessica against Danielle and Zach playing beer pong and Zach has definitely changed his treatment of Danielle – Danielle even pointed it out to him telling him that he wasn’t treating her very well – almost like after his FAKE DATE with Jessica gave him some FALSE sense of security – FALSe is ALL Zach has – POOR LITTLE BOY!

I have been lurking here on these threads for a while…
I really cannot hold it in much longer. If Dick leaves, I will honestly be devastated. He is my favourite BB player of all time, I think he’s pretty much the only person in that house that isn’t a phoney.
People say that he’s mean, and being in there, he probably is, but everyone’s character traits get really explosive in BB houses anyway…I mean, has anyone ever lived with roommates they dont like?

i just have to respond to the comment from lois….i didn’t read anywhere in the bible where Jesus turned to his enemies and said “your mamma…your mamma and your daughter.” If i missed it please let me know what chapter and verse. did Jesus turn to Judas and say “your mother is a b###ch”? If people keep wanting to bring the bible into the game and make comparisons between Jesus and Jameka(!?!) let’s take it one step further…. “God sacrificed his only son to save mankind” So far the only one i have seen make any sacrifices is Dick throwing himself completely under the bus to save Daniele. Well, that is if you don’t count the way that Jameka, Amber and Dustin have sacrificed their dignity and self respect by the way they continue to act. Dick may be rude, crude and pretty much disgusting…but he is not a hypocrite. And there are quite a few little tidbits in the bible about how a true christian should live their life…Do unto others and you would have them do unto you…..Turn the other cheek….Let the man without sin cast the first stone….and (perhaps most importantly) people who live in glass houses. No one in that house is an innocent…everyone has made mistakes. but from what I can see the only one who is honestly trying to right his wrongs….to make up for their past mistakes is Dick. I believe him when he says he is not there for the money…he is there to try to make things right w/Daniele. So he screwed up when Daniele was little and wasn’t the best Dad in the world…why is everyone so quick to hold that against him and yet sweep Amber’s transgressions under the rug? For everyone in America who is pro Amber and her crew and anti-Dick please answer this question honestly? If you had to go away for a week and leave your 10 year old child w/either Dick or Amber who would you choose? Picture this scenario….your child and Amber are out walking Amber’s dog…all the sudden a speeding car is headed straight towards them….do you really feel confident that Amber is going to save your child over her dog?

This sucks! I too thought that Dick found away to stay. What I do not get is why Jen and Zach will vote to keep Dustin. If as it was stated Eric will vote to keep Dick and Jess is not trusting Dustin, why that would make 4 votes. And it would make Jamika and Amber way nervous!

It is suprising just how much we all, myself included, fall into believing what these folks say on a daily basis.
For me, the reality hits when someone turns against the character they portrayed, and I get upset and annoyed at the folks I placed this trust in for the game.
But then again, it is a game, I doubt that I would have acted any differently. Establish myself with a certian persona, and slowly or when necessary show my real self, or the other self required to continue in the game.
I would have to say that I would be a Dustin/Jameeka blended persona: stand up, straightforward, honest, and then morph into this slightly twisted Eric/Zach type.
Anyone else on that?

He has proved himself week in & week out, I dont consider him a good player at all & I would hope the next BB All-Stars goes on without him because he does nothing but handle himself so bad that I understand why Danielle hasn’t spoken to him in 6 years. I don’t think Dani’s age is important – to us, but obviously it is to her. To the nerd herd the news will be taken as a HUGE lie since they are such dramatic little girls which is why she wants it kept secret. And they will sit around hashing and rehashing, ad nauseum, saying what a little liar she is. And we’ll be forced to suffer through while they pose for the cameras and Amber cries, Jameka preaches, Dustin sniffs and stretches, Eric makes freaky faces, Zach picks his nose and Jess yells “boo-yah” at the top of her annoying voice. Oh just kill me now. If Dick leaves, then Dani, we can be sure the rest of the season will be a bore. The best case scenario would be if everyone took the opportunity to rid the house of Dustin while they have a chance. At least they already know what they have with Dick, Dustin’s arrogance could use a quick, swift kick in his flat bum. If/When Dick leaves…I think I might, too. =^^=

I have to say that I agree completely with Lisa and Alex’s mother. Yes this is a game, and if you have watched seasons past a big part of the game is lying. The trick to this game is maintaining your dignity. If you stick to game play the other players respect you for that, even if there is a lie involved. With Dustin, Amber, Jameka, and Erick they have taken all of the lies to a personal level. This is the problem and why they are hated so.
Let’s not forget that Dick never said a word to Amber or Jameka regarding future husbands, boy friends, children, etc until they took it there. Jameka attacking his mother, Amber saying what a horrible father he. (of course she compares her daughter to a dog!!)
And let’s remember Dustin and Eric and their comments about Dick and Danielle having sex etc. Who lives and plays in the gutter here?? It’s the nerd herd not Dick or Danielle.
I don’t for one minute believe that Jameka is any more of Christian that Kale and Danielle are, however you don’t see the two of them constantly trying to use it as game play. Jameka, blows up, gets down and dirty and then sits outside crying, please God, save me God, help me keep my mouth shut God….give me a break. Do you really think God has enough spare time on his hands to play a game. Jameka seems to forget this is a game and not real life. I wonder if God tells her which streets to buy on Monopoly?
If Dick is voted out Zach and Jen are stupid as they will be the next two on the block with Danielle. Only after the three of them are out will the nerd herd turn on each other because they are too stupid to realize that the five of them are like animals just waiting to eat their young!!

All of you who agree with Dick’s antics obviously don’t live in the real world. He started pretty much all of those arguments. He should have been thrown out of the house when he poured that tea on Jen’s head. I used to be a fan of his until he just went overboard. If I was in the house and he poured something on me, they would have to kick me and him out because I would knock him out. Also I don’t really like anyone in the house but Dick has to be the worst. Whether she’s 20 or 21, does it really mater? They know how old Dick is ~ Jameka called him out that a 44 yr old man shouldn’t act like he was acting. They have to know that she is only in her early 20’s. Truthfully, it’s not any of their business. Have the other HG’s stated their age? I think Dani is being paranoid. Who wouldn’t be in that house!! I guess the Nerd Herd would consider it a “lie” if it comes out that she’s only 20. On another note ~ Eric really needs to get busy with our tasks, and stop complaining about our wishes! I hate him! I think that Daniele’s paranoia about the house finding out her age is ridiculous. But then so is she.
Having said that, I don’t know why the producers would reveal her age. I don’t recall them ever revealing any other houseguest’s secrets, so why this one?

Who cares about Daniele’s age or birthday. She is a mindless twit who will be nothing once her father hopefully gets booted out of the house tonight.

Yeah, I agree sooner! But, personally??? Danielle isn't a drinker to begin with, although she DID say a Margurita party sounded good at this point. I think if they get to know her age they will be jealous as to how mature she is for her age -MUCH more mature than the rest of them.
And, Zach just makes me SO nervous – he seems to be just floundering lately. And the NERD HERD are completely convinced they are running the house and fully intend on keeping the FAMILY together until it's down to just THEM and MAYBE that's when the UGLY begins – and they will implode!!!
At this point, who knows – but, I'll tell you – I cast as many votes as they would take from my IP address (IF that is the determining factor as to how many you are allowed ) against Dustin because he just flat out makes me ILL! Jameka has GOT to be next IF Dustin goes. I am really dreading the next few weeks if Dustin stays – in fact, to be honest, I don't think I have much interest in the show if Dick is gone!
Sooner, I totally agree with you – age is NOTHING!!!! BUT, not everyone agrees with us on that, I'm sure.
