Hi y’all and Happy Sunday:

So, yesterday, they had the veto compeition and guess who won.  Keeping in mind that Amanda came up with a suitably complicated plan to make sure that neither Helen nor Elissa would get the veto, it’s probably not surprising that Elissa ended up winning.  Unless Elissa does something unexpected (and she potentially could because Elissa really doesn’t seem to have much desire to stay in the house), she will use the veto on herself and Spencer will go up in her place.

Immediately after the veto competition, we were presented — yet again — with the image of Helen excitedly jumping around and telling Elissa that this was a huge game move because it meant now that “neither one of us is going home!”  This is because Helen — the self-described “superfan” who is convinced that this is the best season of Big Brother ever and that she’s the most popular player since Britney Hayes — has absolutely no clue that she’s the target this week.  Instead, she sincerely believed that the house was planning to vote out Elissa and that Spencer was the 2nd choice.

It appeared that we had a true blindside to look forward to on Thursday.

And then Amanda had to open her big mouth.

For reasons that I don’t quite understand, Amanda told Elissa that Helen is the main target.  Perhaps Amanda is trying to intimidate Elissa into voting for Helen.  I don’t understand why though.  Whether the vote is 5-0 or 4-1H, the end result still would have been Helen leaving the house.

Again, it’s hard to say what type of effect that knowing this information will have on Elissa.  I’ve been watching Big Brother for a long time and it’s hard for me to think of any other houseguest who was as determined not to play the game as Elissa seems to be.  Does Elissa care whether or not she wins or does she just want to get the whole experience over with?

What we do know is that Helen is Elissa’s closest ally and that she has, in the past, threatened to self-evict and has even gone so far as to say that if Helen is voted out then she’ll follow her in walking out the front door.

Or is Elissa’s seeming flakiness just an act?  Is she really in this game to win?  It’s hard to believe that anyone could be this bad at Big Brother without it being a part of a bigger strategy.

At this point, I don’t believe that Elissa has told Helen that she’s the target.  However, when and if she does, I’m sure we can expect some fireworks in the house as Helen attempts to convince everyone that it would be a “HUMONGOUS MOVE” to vote out Spencer.

Stay supple,

Lisa Marie

Big Brother 15 — Amanda Hates Elissa and Helen Is Clueless

by Lisa Marie Bowman on August 17, 2013

Hi, everyone!

The nominees this week, just as was predicted: Helen and Elissa.

They’ve just picked the players for the veto comp: Aaryn, Andy, Gina Marie, Spencer, Helen, and Elissa will be competing.  Amanda will be hosting.

The target is Helen but that hasn’t stopped Amanda and the other mean girls from really hating on Elissa.  Basically, ever since Jessie went out the door and Aaryn won HoH, Amanda, Aaryn, and Gina Marie have been talking about Elissa nonstop.  They’ve been talking about how she doesn’t deserve to be in the house.  They’ve been making fun of her for doing so much yoga.  They even went on about how Elissa only talks about her son and therefore, that shows that Elissa doesn’t love her other children.

Earlier, Amanda told GM that Elissa is a fake.  Amanda went on to add: “I’ve had to fake being her BFF this whole time and I still have to do it.”

Amanda then said, “Can we just agree that she (Elissa) has the worst style ever?”

This coming from a girl who has been wearing the same hoodie and no pants since she first came into the house.

Gee, Amanda, jealous much?  It’s hard not to feel that, so far, this entire season has been fueled by Amanda’s body issues.

Of course, maybe Amanda would be in a better mood if not for the fact that she’s a have-not this week.  That’s right — for the first week since the season began, Amanda can not sleep in the HoH bed and she also can’t wander around eating everyone else’s food.  Joining Amanda as a have-not: Gina Marie, Helen, and Elissa.  The Have/Have-Not competition was boys vs. girls and, judging from what’s been said in the house, Spencer apparently won it for the boys.

Despite all the cattiness being directed at her this week, Elissa is not in danger of being voted out.  The target is definitely Helen.  Interestingly enough, Helen — for all of her bragging about what a great strategist she is — doesn’t seem to be aware that she’s the target.  Aaryn told her that Elissa is the target and Helen seems to believe it.

If Helen or Elissa win the veto, the plan appears to be to put Spencer up as the replacement nominee and there’s actually a pretty good chance that if Spencer does go up, he could be voted out.  As much as everyone’s been hating on Elissa, they all seem to agree that she’s not a threat and that they could beat her in a final two situation.  Aaryn even went as far as to tell Elissa that the real plan was to backdoor Spencer but she only did that to keep Elissa from finding out the truth and telling Helen that she was the real target this week.

Assuming that the nominations remain the same and that the Big Brother houseguests can actually keep a secret this week (and we saw how will they did last week when they tried to keep Jessie from learning that she was the target), Thursday will be a true blindside.

Stay supple,

Lisa Marie

Big Brother 15 — Mean Girls Party

by Lisa Marie Bowman on August 16, 2013

Hi, everyone!

Well, this is going to be a quick post but I wanted to give everyone a quick update on what’s going on in the house.  I also wanted to give you guys a new page to comment under since the previous page now has close to 240 comments.

Last night, to no one’s shock, Jessie was voted out of the house.

Again, it was a unanimous vote.

Again, as they smugly cast their votes to evict, Amanda and Helen revealed that they have absolutely no idea how negatively they’re viewed by certain members of the Big Brother fan base.  At least Elissa looked sad about not having the spine to go against the house.

(That said, my Aunt is convinced that they’ve got Elissa doped up.  She does tend to act like she’s under some heavy medication but I think it’s mostly a case of Big Brother just not being her type of game.  Elissa, I think, would rather have spent her summer with her kids and her rich husband.)

Probably the show’s best moment came when Julie read a tweet that asked, “When are players going to start making big moves?”  The look of shock on Helen’s face was priceless.  You could just see the thoughts racing in her head: “Wait?  Don’t they know that this is the best season of Big Brother ever?  Don’t they realize that I’m this season’s Maggie Ashburn?  Cappy, I need your help!”

We did get to see some of the fights that Jessie caused.  The Big Brother editors decided to show the fights instead of making us sit through Amanda and McCrae’s wedding and, for that, I thank them.

But the big news last night is that Aaryn — the most reviled houseguest in Big Brother history — won Head of Household for the 4th time!  If she wins one more time, she’ll hold the record.  And you know what?  It wouldn’t surprise me if she did win a fifth time because, seriously, who else in the house has shown that they have the least bit of ability when it comes to challenges?  McCrae maybe.  In fact, McCrae could have won HoH last night but, when he had to face off against Amanda, he pretty obviously threw the challenge so that Amanda could have her chance to finally win something.

And then, just as predictably, Amanda ended up losing to Aaryn and spent a good deal of the night crying about in the storage room.

Elissa thinks that Aaryn’s adderall is giving her super powers.  Sorry but if taking meds for ADD gave you super powers, then I would be flying around in a miniskirt and a bustier, using my super vision to spy on the neighbors.  The fact of the matter is that — as loathsome a person as she seems to be — Aaryn is good at challenges.

Then again, it might be less of a case of Aaryn being good at something and more of a case of the rest of the house just being very bad.

Anyway, Aaryn and Gina Marie had  a lot of fun in the HoH room last night.  Apparently, they’re over their earlier fight because last night, they were having a great time making fun of Elissa and insulting her children.

Speaking of Elissa, it looks like she and Helen will be on the block this week.  They’ve both figured it out as well.  Last night, Elissa again said that she would rather self-evict than get voted out.  She also said that if she does stick around to get voted out, she’s going to go straight home instead of going to the jury house.  Helen told Elissa that would be selfish because Helen, after all, needs Elissa on the jury so Elissa can vote for her.

Elissa really needn’t worry since the target this week appears to be Helen.  Personally, as much as I hate to see Amanda get what she wants for another week, I’m also really looking forward to seeing Helen’s face when she hears that she’s been unanimously evicted.  However, I’m not looking forward to hearing Helen’s speech on eviction night.

What neither Helen nor Elissa knows is that, if either one of them is voted out, they will have a chance to compete with Judd, Jessie, and Candice for the right to re-enter the house.  That’s right!  Just as we all predicted, a juror is returning.  It annoys me that America will not to get to vote for who they want to re-enter the house but does it really matter?  As far as competitions are concerned, Judd seems like the strongest member of the jury.

That’s it for now.

Stay supple,

Lisa Marie

Big Brother 15 — It’s Thursday …. Again

by Lisa Marie Bowman on August 15, 2013

Hi, everyone!

Well, it’s Thursday and you know what that means.

Someone is going to be voted out of the Big Brother House and sent to the Jury House, where he or she will join Candice and Judd.

Will it be Jessie, the girl who we used to all hate and then we liked her and now we just feel sorry for her?

Or will it be Spencer, the Hitler-admiring, soon-to-be unemployed bearded guy from Arkansas who hasn’t washed his bed sheets in weeks and who makes jokes about child pornography?

Now, in the real world, the answer would be obvious.  Jessie may occasionally whine too much but she doesn’t like Hitler, she cleans up after herself, and she’s never made any jokes about enjoying child pornography.

However, this is the Big Brother House and it looks like Spencer is going to stay while Jessie will be sent out on yet another unanimous vote.

However, as far as I’m concerned — I vote to evict Spencer!

Stay supple,

Lisa Marie

Big Brother 15 — La Mariée était en blanc

by Lisa Marie Bowman on August 14, 2013

Bonjour!

Well, it finally happened.

Last night, in a “touching” ceremony out in the backyard, Amanda and McCrae got married.  Andy officiated.  Spencer was the ring bearer.  Elissa was the matron of honor.  Jessie served as a bride’s maid.  Nobody shouted out, “I object!”  There was no fighting, there was no yelling.  At one point, Amanda told McCrae to “f*ck off” but she was just being Amanda.  (“Oh my God, America loves me because I’m so outrageous!”  Shut up, Amanda.)

The houseguests were on their best behavior and, throughout the entire ceremony, it was easy to imagine the Big Brother producers in the diary room,  cackling that their masterplan to create a new Rachel and Brendon was succeeding.

In short, it was pretty boring.

There was, of course, the promise that there would be some sort of drama.  Before the ceremony, McCrae told Spencer that he was hoping Jessie would get mad and make a scene at the wedding.  McCrae also said, “I don’t want to do this sh*t.”  But, in the end, everyone played their roles and made the night all about celebrating the 7-week love of Amanda and McCrae.

After the ceremony, Andy caught the garter and Elissa caught the bouquet.

Hopefully, next week, Gina Marie will marry Nick’s hat.

If you missed the wedding, don’t feel sad.  I’m sure we’ll see some footage of it on Thursday’s show.  They’re going to have to find some way to kill some time since, other than those arguments on Tuesday night, not much else has happened in the Big Brother house this week.

Finally, I’m going to have to take back yesterday’s “You go, girl!” from Jessie because she has now apologized to everyone in the house for creating so much drama.  Bleh.

Rester souple,

Lisa Marie

P.S. If the Big Brother producers have truly turned against Amanda (as some people think they have) then they should have Julie interview Amanda’s other (and, I assume, former)  boyfriend on Thursday’s show.

Big Brother 15 — The Prophecy Has Come True

by Lisa Marie Bowman on August 13, 2013

Hey y’all:

Remember how, at the beginning of the season, Jessie said that she didn’t get along with other girls because they were all threatened by her beauty?  At that time, Jessie told us that she could win the game only if she got rid of all the other girls and instead joined an alliance made up exclusively of good-looking people.

How we all laughed at Jessie!  We ridiculed her on twitter.  On this very blog, we talked about how delusional she was.

Well, two months later and what’s happening?

All of the handsome guys have been voted out of the house.  On Thursday night, only one guy will be voting and, given what Amanda’s done to him, it’s debatable whether McCrae still counts as a man.

The other houseguests voting are Amanda, Helen, Aaryn, Gina Marie, and Elissa and it appears that they will be casting their vote to evict Jessie.

Why?

Because Amanda is upset because Jessie once sat down next to McCrae in the HoH bedroom.

When future generations looks back at this season of Big Brother, I predict that they will be amazed that so many innocent houseguests were sacrificed just because Amanda was oddly insecure about her relationship with a guy who she’s known for all of 7 weeks.

At this point, it looks like Jessie’s eviction is going to be the most predictable eviction since the last one.

Luckily, last night, there were a few fights to break up the monotony.

Jessie knows that she’s going home and, apparently, she’s planning on trying to turn the Houseguests against each other before she leaves.  Here’s hoping that she succeeds because this Big Brother house needs to be shaken up!

Jessie told Amanda and McCrae that Helen wanted to vote out Amanda last week.  Amanda then confronted Helen, which led to Helen having a long, never-ending argument with Jessie.  After saying that she was done arguing a few hundred times and walking off (then to just return a few seconds later and start up again), Helen told Jessie that she was “going home” but then, a few minutes later, I think that Helen realized that Jessie wasn’t going to go home but instead, was going to the jury house because Helen then came out to the backyard and told Jessie that she was still safe.  (Helen, by the way, sucks.)

(I imagine if Helen makes it to the final two, she’ll tell every juror: “I didn’t want to vote you out but I just didn’t have the votes to keep you here…”)

Jessie told Gina Marie that Aaryn has been telling everyone that GM is bad for her game.  This led to a big argument between Aaryn and GM, which apparently led to GM “chest-bumping” Aaryn and Aaryn later saying that she no longer feels safe in the house.  Amanda thinks that the fight was really just an attempt to keep people from realizing that Aaryn and GM are in an alliance.  I don’t think that Aaryn or GM is capable of thinking that strategically.

Jessie also confronted Elissa, telling Elissa that she’s sure that Elissa’s family is proud of the lies that she’s telling.  Since, of all the remaining houseguests, Elissa is the least comfortable with the more unsavory aspect of the game, Jessie’s words stung.

Now, even though she’s still planning on voting out Jessie, Amanda is even more determined to take out Helen and, as she told McCrae last night, she’s willing to go after Helen’s closest alley, Elissa, if — for some reason — she can’t evict Helen.

Amanda also spent some time last night bitching at McCrae for even talking to Jessie in the first place.

Jessie is causing a lot of drama and you know what I say to that?

You go, girl!

Seriously, these smug houseguests need to be shaken up and it was a lot of fun watching Helen have to scramble last night.  Jessie knows that she’s getting evicted and that everyone in the house has been lying to her.  Under those circumstances, she might as well cause as much drama as possible before she leaves on Thursday.

Stay supple,

Lisa Marie

Hi, everyone:

Before I head out the door for my class, I wanted to post a real quick update here.  Today was the POV ceremony and …

ANDY DID NOTHING!

That’s right.  Andy did not use the veto.  He kept his nominations the same.  There will be no backdoor eviction this week.  Instead, either Jessie or Spencer will be evicted and sent to the jury house…

Right now, it looks pretty certain that it’ll be another unanimous eviction and that Jessie will be this week’s victim.

Last night, Jessie went to Andy and asked him to backdoor either Amanda or McCrae.   Poor Jessie.  I like her but she really has no idea how to play this game — instead of trying to turn Andy against Amanda, she should have just tried to redirect him towards getting out Spencer.

Anyway, Andy told Amanda that Jessie was trying to get her backdoored so now, of course, Amanda is even more convinced that Jessie has to be voted out.

Here’s what’s weird (or stupid, depending on how you look at it) — Helen found out that Jessie was trying to backdoor Amanda and decided that meant that Jessie has to be voted out this week.  As you may remember, Helen has spent the past few days talking about how important it is to split up McCrae and Amanda and now that she finally has a potential ally in doing just that, Helen decides to vote her out of the house.

I think the problem, from Helen’s point of view, is that Jessie wanted to take out Amanda.  Helen, as you may remember, is obsessed with getting every guy out of the house.  When Helen talks about breaking up Amanda and McCrae, what she means is that McCrae needs to be voted out of the house.

Anyway, it seems to be a foregone conclusion that Jessie will be joining Judd and Candice in the jury house on Thursday.  There’s still the promise of an Amanda/Helen showdown next week but to be honest, Helen has been sounding a lot less enthusiastic about going after McCrae and Amanda lately and it wouldn’t surprise me if Helen puts that off for yet another week and instead, spends next week concentrating her efforts on getting rid of Spencer.

Seriously, Helen is such a flake.

Stay supple,

Lisa Marie

Big Brother 15 — It Still Is What It Is

by Lisa Marie Bowman on August 11, 2013

Hi, bunnies:

Well, it’s a pretty slow day in the Big Brother House.

Yesterday, Andy won the veto and it doesn’t appear that he’s planning on using it.  So, come Thursday, either Spencer or Jessie will be leaving the house.  Jessie started out as Andy’s target but, as of late night, it looks like he’s been thinking about going after Spencer instead because he feels that Spencer is the more dangerous of the two.

I have to say that I agree with Andy and, on a personal note, I’d prefer to see Spencer evicted just because the sight of him in the house makes me physically ill.  Amanda, needless to say, was not happy with Andy last night because Amanda’s target continues to be Jessie.

However, Helen wants Spencer out and you can be sure that Elissa will vote however Helen tells her to.  So, if Helen and Elissa can get either Aaryn or GinaMarie to agree to vote for Spencer, then the vote will be a 3-3 tie and Andy would cast the deciding vote.

But, then again, that may just be wishful thinking on my part.

Considering that he’s currently trying to ride her coattails to the finale, it’s in Andy’s best interest to keep Amanda happy.  Aaryn, meanwhile, is also in a final four agreement with Amanda, McCrae, and Andy so it’s doubtful that Aaryn, at this point of the game, is going to vote differently from how Amanda tells her to.  GinaMarie will probably vote in whatever way that Aaryn tells her to vote.  Meanwhile, Helen is obsessed with continuing the charade of a “united” house.  All in all, that seems to add up to a 6-0 vote to evict poor Jessie.

At least we have a new episode tonight!  We’ll finally get to see how Andy won HoH and, hopefully, we’ll get to see Amanda crying about it afterwards.

Stay supple,

Lisa Marie

Big Brother 15 — At least it’s tax-free weekend!

by Lisa Marie Bowman on August 10, 2013

Hey, y’all!

I’m sorry for the late update today.  It’s tax-free weekend here in Texas and you know what that means!  It’s time to put aside any existential concerns and totally embrace being materialistic!  I’ve been down at the mall, fighting the battle of the consumer.  However, now that I’m back, it’s time to update on what we all really care about — the Battle of Big Brother!

Even if you haven’t been reading the comments under yesterday’s post, you can probably guess what’s happening right now in the house.

Andy is Head of Household.

As HoH, Andy has nominated Jessie and Spencer for eviction.  How many times has Spencer been nominated without getting on vote for eviction?  It’s amazing that the people in this house considered Howard to be a threat but apparently, they like Spencer so much that Spencer doesn’t have any concern about the fact that he keeps getting nominated week after week.

Originally, there looked like there might have been some conflict in store because Amanda wants Jessie out and Helen wants Spencer out.  However, Andy has made clear that Jessie is his target and Helen seems to be okay with the idea of evicting her this week.

Now, we’re waiting for the results of the veto competition because, if Jessie doesn’t win this week, it looks like she’s done for in the house.  The players are: Andy, Spencer, Jessie, Amanda, Helen, and Elissa.

Elissa has hinted that she’s open to the idea of taking Jessie off the block if she wins the veto.  Then again, everyone in this house is always open to making a big move until the time to make the move actually comes.

Also, will Amanda be able to get through this competition without going crazy?

The plan appears to be that, if Jessie or Spencer wins the veto, than Andy will put Gina Marie up as a replacement.  However, Andy has apparently also said that he’s scared to put up GM.  Incredibly, he told Helen earlier that he would be willing to nominate Amanda as a replacement pawn, just to be told by Helen that it’s too early to go after Amanda.

Next week has the potential to be far more interesting because Amanda has apparently decided that Helen needs to go next week and Helen has decided that next week would be the perfect time to break up Amanda and McCrae by voting out McCrae.

Personally, I would think Amanda is the bigger threat than McCrae but Helen is all about voting out the guys, regardless of whether it actually makes any sense to do so or not.

As for now, we’re just waiting for the veto comp. to begin.

Stay supple,

Lisa Marie

P.S. Thank you, everyone, for helping me with my heart issue! ♥ :-)

Big Brother 15 — TFG Wins HoH

by Lisa Marie Bowman on August 9, 2013

Hi everyone:

I don’t know about everyone else but I’m still exhausted from yelling myself hoarse at my TV last night.  Seriously, that whole double eviction just left me in such a bad mood that even watching Project Runway couldn’t quite snap me out of it.

But, in the end, all you can say is “Oh well, life goes on.”  Judd and Candice are hopefully having a blast at the jury house and inside the Big Brother House, a new HoH has been selected.

Though I doubt it will catch on the way that Ringworm Boy did for Jeremy, my nickname for Andy has always been “This F*cking Guy.”  That’s because Andy is one of those people who just always seems to mysteriously pop up whenever two people in the BB house are having a conversation.  I always imagine that whenever the HGs suddenly notice that Andy has mysteriously appeared in a corner, they probably think to themselves, “Oh, look at this f*cking guy over here.”

Well, last night, This F*cking Guy won HoH.  That’s right, Andy is now technically in charge.  I say technically because we all know that Andy being Head of Household is essentially the same thing as either Amanda or Helen being HoH.

Though Amanda should be happy that she is, once again, in charge without actually having to do any of the work herself, she’s not.  In fact, she’s pretty mad that Andy didn’t let her win the HoH competition.  I can understand that Amanda is homesick and wanted to get a letter from home but seriously, they way she was carrying on about it was just over the top.

Anyway, nominations are today.  Helen and Amanda have both told Andy to nominate Jessie and Spencer.  Andy’s not really enthusiastic about nominating Spencer and has hinted that he would rather nominate GM but, in the end, I imagine that he’ll go ahead and put Spencer on the block.

Amanda says that the target this week is Jessie because, after all, Jessie sat down next to her man.

Helen says that target is Spencer because she’s playing this game like she’s in elementary school and that means that all the boys have to go.

I wonder if Helen knows that Amanda is saying that she wants to take out Helen after Jessie.

Stay supple,

Lisa Marie
