Big Brother 23 — A Slow Day In The House

by Lisa Marie Bowman on July 13, 2021

After all the messiness of last few days, today has been pretty slow and calm. Or at least, what I’ve seen of it has been. The feeds have been in and out today, with the “We’ll be right back!” screen popping up more often than the activity in the House. I’m not sure why because there haven’t been any fights or any controversial discussions. It could have just been technical difficulties or maybe one of the houseguests were talking about someone from their life who hadn’t signed a release form. Who knows? But it definitely wasn’t due to anything big happening in the House.

As of right now, it appears that Travis will be leaving the House on Thursday. His two most natural allies — Christian and Brent — are both determined to keep Alyssa and no one else in the House seems to feel any particular loyalty to him. Travis does think that the members of his team, the Queens, will vote for him. That would be Claire, Kyland, and Tiffany. Derek X has said that if Travis can round up 6 votes, Derek X will vote to keep him. It’s all a bit cowardly really. I wouldn’t be shocked if this becomes yet another season of unanimous evictions.

Frenchie is still plotting and planning. He tried to start an all-girls and Frenchie alliance today with Azah, Hannah, Tiffany, Sarah Beth, and Britini. The proposed name of the alliance was French Kisses and …. ugh! I really hope that Frenchie gets voted out soon because trying to keep up with all of his alliances and all of his alliance names can give a girl a headache. Unfortunately, several houseguests seem to be convinced that Frenchie is probably really popular with the viewers and they don’t want to vote him out pre-jury as a result. If they only knew!

Otherwise, it’s been a pretty boring day in the House. As of right now, we’re just waiting to see if Travis makes any sort of last ditch attempt to save himself.

We’ll see what happens,

Lisa Marie

Big Brother 23 — Week 1 Veto Results

by Lisa Marie Bowman on July 12, 2021

Well, if you’ve been watching the live feeds during the first week of Big Brother 23, you know that Frenchie’s HoH has been a mess. He started things off by promising that he would not nominate “a woman or a minority.” He said he was going to target “the meatheads,” which he defined as being Christian, Brent, and Travis.

Then Christian won immunity at the wildcard challenge. Brent talked to Frenchie in the HoH room and convinced Frenchie that he had misjudged him. Travis also talked to Frenchie and convinced him that there were bigger threats in the House.

Frenchie nominated Alyssa and Kyland for eviction. When the members of his own alliance asked him what he was thinking, Frenchie announced that Derek X was actually his real target and that this was all a brilliant plan to backdoor him. Then Derek X won the veto and told everyone he was going to use it on Kyland. Frenchie spent all of last night trying to talk Derek X out of using the veto, despite earlier saying that Kyland was not actually his target.

It got exhausting to watch. Frenchie, it turns out, tends to be more than a little bit paranoid. Not only did he get mad at Derek X but he also got mad at Kyland when Kyland reminded Frenchie that Frenchie had promised not to target a woman or a minority during his first HoH.

Today, at the veto ceremony, Derek X kept his word used the veto on Kyland. Frenchie nominated Travis in his place. So, as of now, either Travis or Alyssa will be leaving the house on Thursday. Frenchie has said that he would rather Alyssa go because he feels that Alyssa is allied with Christian. But Frenchie has annoyed so many people that it now seems more likely that Travis will be evicted.

That could all change, though! This has been a messy week and it’ll probably only get messier between now and Thursday! For now, though, Travis and Alyssa are on the block.

We’ll see what happens,

Lisa Marie

Big Brother 22 — It’s Over

by Lisa Marie Bowman on October 28, 2020

SPOILERS!

SPOILERS!

SPOILERS!

SPOILERS!

Okay, another season of Big Brother is in the books. The house is now empty. The HGs are heading home.

Cody defeated Nicole for the final HoH. I was actually surprised that Cody chose to evict her and go to the final two with Enzo. Over the last few days, it really seemed like Nicole and Cody had their final two agreement set in stone. But, in the end, Cody obviously realized that he had a better chance of beating Enzo than beating Nicole.

And, it turns out, Cody was right. Despite some apparently bitterness on the part of the jurors, Cody not only won but he won unanimously. Even Da’Vonne and Christmas voted for Cody. Cody handled himself well during the jury questioning and, even though everyone liked Enzo personally, Enzo still couldn’t really point to any big moves that he had made while he was in the House.

So, Cody is the newest Big Brother champ. Enzo came in second. Da’Vonne beat out Tyler for America’s Favorite Player.

And another season comes to a close.

This was an often frustrating season. The lack of big moves and blindsides made for some fairly dull gameplay. But, it’s over now and, in the end, I do think the right person won.

So congrats to Cody! And thank you to everyone who has been reading this site over the past three months! I may not have enjoyed the season but I did enjoy writing about it.

As for the future — who knows? I’m covering The Amazing Race right now but once it’s over with, we’re going to be without reality programming for a while. Production on the new seasons of Survivor and The Amazing Race were both suspended due to the pandemic. Hopefully, Big Bother will be back next summer. And if it is, I’ll be back with it.

Stay safe everyone. Thank you for reading,

Lisa Marie

Well, Big Brother All-Stars is nearly over.

We’re down to three houseguests. On Wednesday, we’ll find out who our final HoH is. And then the jury will select the winner.

You know what that means — it’s time to open up the Diary Room one last time!

Who do you, the Big Brother Blog faithful, want to see win?

Do you vote for….

CODY, the best-looking guy in the House

ENZO, the wise guy

or

NICOLE, the last woman standing?

Let us know in the comments below or by voting in the little poll that we’ve got going over on the right side of the page! And then, on Wednesday, be sure to tune in and see who wins Big Brother All-Stars!

Happy voting,

Lisa Marie

P.S. Yes, “I don’t want any of them to win,” is a perfectly acceptable response.

Big Brother 22 — Who Won Part 2 of the HoH Comp

by Lisa Marie Bowman on October 25, 2020

Hi, everyone!

Nicole previously won the first part of the final HoH contest. Last night, Cody won the 2nd part.

What does that mean?

Well, basically, it’s pretty much the end of Enzo’s game. Nicole and Cody will be competing for the final HoH and then whoever wins will pick someone to take to the final two with them. But Cody and Nicole have a final two agreement so it seems like no matter who wins that final HoH, Enzo is going to get third place.

Of Cody and Nicole, I think Cody would be more likely to break the agreement and send out Nicole. Cody has always been the more ruthless of the two. But I also think that Cody believes that he can beat Nicole because Nicole’s a former winner. As for Nicole, she’s been saying that she’s going to honor her final two deal for a while now. So, while anything could happen, the most likely scenario is that Cody and Nicole go to the end together.

So, chances are that, come Wednesday, the jury will be choosing between Nicole and Cody.

Big Brother 22 — Who Won The First Part of the Final HoH comp

by Lisa Marie Bowman on October 23, 2020

Hi, everyone.

So, our final three is made up of Nicole, Enzo, and Cody. They are currently competing in a three-part HoH contest to decide who will be the final HoH. The final HoH is not only guaranteed a spot in the final two but they also get to pick who goes with them.

Last night, they played the first part of the HoH comp and it was won by …. Nicole. Judging from the conversation between Nicole and Enzo, it was apparently an endurance comp.

This means that the 2nd part of the HoH comp will be between Cody Enzo. And then whoever wins that will face-off against Nicole for the chance to be the final HoH,

So, for now, Nicole gets a few days to relax while Cody and Enzo fight to determine their future in the game.

Big Brother 22 — About Tonight

by Lisa Marie Bowman on October 22, 2020

Hi, everyone!

I know that the show is going to be running late in some parts of the country because of the presidential debate so, in case you haven’t seen it yet and don’t want to know who was voted out, STOP READING NOW!

Yep, it’s spoiler alert time!

Anyway, there were no big shocks tonight. Cody was the only one to cast a vote and, as expected, he voted to evict Christmas. In his goodbye message, he told Christmas about the wise guys and all the other alliances. Cody is trying to jury manage by being honest in his goodbye messages.

Most of tonight’s show was …. really quite boring. Did we really need to see a fantasy segment of Nicole thinking about winning for the 2nd time in a row? I don’t blame the show’s editors, though. Nothing happened in the House this week. I’m amazed they could stretch things out to an hour, to be honest.

So, anyway — here’s our final three:

Cody

Enzo

Nicole

Out of that three, Cody is the one who deserves to win but he still has to win that final three-part HoH comp to secure himself a place in the final two. That’ll start soon.

There are three episodes of Big Brother left. Tomorrow, they will show the flashback episode, where the final three sit around and say stuff like, “Remember that time Kevin and David got into an argument?” or “Remember all the pranks Nicole pulled?” Flashback episodes are the worst and I usually skip them, to be honest.

On Monday, I guess they’ll show the 1st part of the final HoH comp.

And then on Wednesday, a new winner is crowned and this season comes to an end.

We’ll see how it plays out. It’s almost over.

Big Brother 22 — Time to Open Up The Diary Room

by Lisa Marie Bowman on October 21, 2020

Hi, everyone!

It’s that time again! It’s time open up the diary room for week 11! This is your chance to let us know who you would vote for if you had the power to do so.

(SPOILER WARNING FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO DON’T KNOW THE RESULTS OF THE VETO COMP)

Right now, Christmas and Nicole are on the block and Cody will be casting the only vote on Thursday night. Cody has made it clear that he will be voting to evict Christmas.

But who do you vote to evict?

Do you vote to evict….

NICOLE, who is playing for the first time without a showmance

or

CHRISTMAS, who is playing for the first time without a cast?

Cast you vote in the comments below or use the poll that we’ve got going on the right side of the page! Be sure to watch Thursday to see who gets sent to the jury!

Happy voting!

Big Brother 22 — Things Are Winding Down

by Lisa Marie Bowman on October 19, 2020

The House right now is boring. Christmas appears to know that Cody is going to send her to the jury. Enzo and Cody have been spending all of their time working out. Nicole has been studying for the next HoH comp, going over vote totals and eviction orders.

That’s about it. There’s not much going on. Christmas is more than a little bit bitter about how things are going. Nicole has gotten extremely cocky because she’s convinced that both Enzo and Cody will take her to the final two and she’ll become the first HG to win the show twice. At the very least, that’ll help pay for her wedding.

It’s kind of a fitting end for a season that saw no big moves and no grand strategy. Cody has pretty much run the House from the minute the season started. Enzo was smart enough to stay under the radar. Nicole and Christmas have both, more or less, been carried to the final four.

Who, out of our final four, has the best chance of winning? Normally, I would say Cody but I could see the jury being bitter and going for whoever is sitting next to Cody. To be honest, I could see Enzo winnings just because he hasn’t angered too many people. It could be a Paul and Josh situation all over again.

Nicole seems to be convinced that the jury loves her but I’m not totally sure about that. Da’Vonne, Kevin, and David certainly don’t like her. Memphis probably isn’t going to forgive her for putting him on the block. I could actually imagine the jury being even more bitter towards Nicole than they are towards Cody.

Well, we’ll see. As of right now, it appears that, come Thursday, our final three will be Nicole, Cody, and Enzo.

Big Brother 22 — Week 11 Veto Comp Results

by Lisa Marie Bowman on October 17, 2020

Hey, y’all!

So, earlier today, the 4 remaining houseguests played for the power of veto and it was won by….

CODY!

So, what does this mean? It means the nominations are going to remain the same. It means that Nicole and Christmas will remain on the block and that Cody will be the sole vote. As of right now, Cody has been pretty adamant that he’s going to vote to evict Christmas.

Enzo and Cody are now both guaranteed a spot in the final three. Also, both of them are going to make it to the finale without having ever been put on the block during all-stars.

Up until Thursday, I imagine we’ll see a lot of Christmas trying to convince Cody vote for Nicole. I doubt it will make much difference. Once Cody makes up his mind on how he’s going to vote, it’s rare that he changes it and he’s pretty much decided that he’s going to evict Christmas.
