Big Brother Blog comments have changed…

…and here is what you need to know.

I have uninstalled the DISQUS comment system. I really liked it since people could log in with their facebook and twitter accounts. However, not many were using that feature.

I have installed an email system for comments only. You will see a check box next to where you submit your comments. I have not tested this but from what it looks like it should work. This is to be known as “Aggie’s emails” from here on since she really wanted a comment email function. It is optional but if you like to follow comments on a per post basis….this is for YOU.

This blog is different than the Survivor Blog. On that blog I required people to log in. Here you do not have to register or log in. All you need to do when you comment is give your name and email.

To have an avatar you need to setup an avatar over at gravatar.com to associate with your email. Once you have a picture connected with your email at gravatar.com then you can use that same email here and then that picture will show up.

The “tech support” comment was that I would rather people just email me instead of complain about issues in the comment section. I promise to do what I can to make this blog rock (as I always have) but I think it looks bad when people complain and vent about stuff in the comment section. I enjoy email and like to think I am not that scary of a guy. So email me at bbblogger@big-brother-blog.com and I will do what I can to fix any issues.

So this post is NOT getting emailed out to everyone. It is just here to have people test and comment up.

Big Brother Blog is hiring for Big Brother 12

Hurry up and wait! Excitement in a quick little commercial then wait some more. After another week….another small and meaningless reminder we have to wait again.

This is the roller coaster that all Big Brother fans ride every year! This year is no different.

Well….the wait is only 29 days! I hope you are getting excited!

Commercial #2 came out last week. Nothing new….nothing too exciting. Just hype. For your viewing pleasure….the 2nd commercial…with a cool slo-mo part at the end. 🙂

So that is all the news we have to date!

However, as the blog title hints at we are looking for a few good Big Brother Fans! This undertaking started off as a little forum called Must-See-TV.com and grew into a nice collection of Big Brother themed websites.

big-brother-blog.com is my first spin off from must-see-tv.com and took on a life of its own. it is now one of the best big brother blogs on the web and is not your same old same old report everything. we are full of commentary and opinoin that you cannot get from other blogs. we just talk and have fun. The main thing that makes this blog different is the personality and the people. We are open and fun and keep the comments flowing.

big-brother-fans.com is always open for people to hang out, chat and post about what they see on the show. Plus you can have your own Big Brother Blog on that site so I highly recommend doing so. This is our way of giving you a voice while you watch big brother 12. If you do not have an account yet, please do so!

big-brother-chat.com is under going some changes and for now is offline.

tweetthefeeds.com is your opportunity to report what you see on the Live Feeds if you are watching on Twitter. Many people will receive those updates so hook them up!

facebook.com/bigbrotherblogger is our NEW facebook page and is all fan based comments and commentary. please LIKE it and be a part of it!

So with all of these things I need help. If you want to help guest post on our blog, help comment on the live feeds, promote all of the posts via twitter and facebook, help delete all the spam comments, moderate anything, etc. Let me know!

We do not pay. In fact all work is because you love the sites and you love the show. We hope that is ok. However, I have been known to by the feeds for people who help out but not sure if that will happen this year yet.

When does Big Brother 12 start?

An excellent question! Probably the most asked question and one that has been on the mind of every Big Brother fan since last year when Jordon masterfully…

Outwitted? (Nope)

Outplayed? (No not really)

Outlasted? (ok…we will go with that one)

…the other players to win Big Brother 11. Personally I am still in shock that she won but with the final 3 who they were…she was the best choice in my opinion. Plus after years of watching reality tv, nothing surprises me anymore!

Like everyone else who loves reality tv, I was watching the Survivor 20 finale that saw Sandra be crowned the first ever 2 time winner of Survivor! However, during the show, a commercial caught my attention that literally made me JUMP out of my chair with excitement! Wanna see it? Ok…you talked me into it. Check this out…

So lots of sweet old Big Brother footage but the one thing that I saw and JUMPED out is that it will all start again July 8th!

DID YOU HEAR ME…Big Brother 12 starts July 8, 2010!

**pause for a moment to step on my small but sweet soap box**

I would like to make sure to note that even though the Big Brother start date is not known until CBS starts promoting it, I have been correct with my “Big Brother educated guess” the past 2 years. In fact, both this year and last year I was able to guess the date over 100 days prior to the actual start date. Personally I think CBS comes to my sites to see when they SHOULD start the season however I do not have confirmation of this as of yet! 🙂

Big Brother 12 starts in less than 50 days

Hey everyone,

BBBlogger here! Thinking that it is almost time to start rocking the blog once again. Time to start dusting off the cobwebs and get some blogging done around here!

However, before I can being my onslaught of blogging….I need to share some food for thought….

1. I did attempt to sell this blog. However, no one bought it and I guess that is a sign saying I should just keep it and make sure that the BEST Big Brother Blog on the web continues again this year! 😉

2. Didn’t it just seem like Jordan was on Big Brother (or was that the Amazing Race) and as cute and ditzy as ever! (Lots of love for you Jordo! Jeff is a luck and patient man!)

Big Brother 12 begins in 157 days (or so)

So welcome February and just think…tomorrow is Groundhogs day!

One month closer to Big Brother 12. According to our “best guess” countdown on Big-Brother-Fans.com we have only 157 days until Big Brother 12.

So in order to slowly start getting ready I need your help.

Happy Holidays from Big Brother Blog

We have successfully passed through Thanksgiving and are heading into the holiday season I want to wish everyone Happy Holidays and hope that this December you have a lot of fun, family and friends!

As I sit here in Minnesota on the evening of Dec. 8, 2009 watching the first snowfall/blizzard of the season going on, all I can think is….IS IT SUMMER YET? 🙂

I so love Big Brother and I so love a summer version of Big Brother! However it is alway so far away. We are just over 200 days out from the start of another Big Brother and man…I am so wanting to be a part of it.

So instead of apply…I started to update my blog. 🙂

Few new changes to note.

First of all, I have redone the comment section. Now you can log in to comment from your facebook (coming soon), your twitter, your yahoo and a few other ways. The hope is this will make it easier to cut down on spam and make it even MORE of a community here on Big Brother Blog!

Also I changed the new poll. I am excited to hear if you want another winter season of Big Brother (it wont happen but let us know your thoughts)

More cool changes to come. If you have any suggestions please let me know.

Big Brother 11 Blog fun facts…

So no more emails will be sent out. If you are reading this you are a true hard core fan!

– My current Big Brother email list is 3,519. Yesterday’s post went out to all 3,519. Crazy number!
– My current Twitter follower count for @BBBlogger is 6366 followers
– My current Facebook account at http://www.facebook.com/BigBrotherBlog has 2,136 fans!
– There were over 147,000 unique visiters to this blog over the past 3 months!
– Over 108 GB (gigabytes) of data was downloaded from this blog over the past 3 months!
– Only had to restart the server 1 time during an endurance comp otherwise it handled things ok.
– 23,515 approved comments on the blog.
– 17,566 spam comments have been deleted

And as far as COMMENTS on THIS BLOG GO! Let’s just say…..I cannot believe we are well over 20,000 comments since this blog started. Thank you to everyone who takes the time to comment, interact and enjoy this blog. It is truly a place for all to enjoy and chat.

Jordan Lloyd wins Big Brother 11

Tuesday night’s Big Brother 11 finale was EXACTLY what most of the people watching Big Brother wanted. They wanted Jordan to win against Kevin or Natalie and Jeff to win the America’s favorite!

AND THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED!!

Congrats again to Jordan!

Here are my random thoughts on last night’s show…

– Personally, I loved the 2 hour finale with the last part of the HOH being played before it happened. I thought it was well thought out and well done.

– I thought the absence of Chima was a moot point.

– Part of me wishes Kevin would have gotten 2nd place (oh well)

– I think Jeff SHOULD take Jordan to Hawaii

– I still miss Laura! She looked very good in black!

– Jordan made me laugh more times then I care to admit and is it me or is she long winded. Like when she just needed to say yes or no, she would go on and on about how she did not expect it and….(you get the point) 🙂

– Natalie played the game until the end. Why did people think she was 18 still. OMG.

– The season was a rollercoaster from bad, to good, to bad, to good.

– This was NOT the worst season ever.

– I think I remember Jordan saying she had never watched Big Brother before and so that impresses me that she was still able to win!

– Ronnie called Natalie out but dang Ronnie…should you really be saying anything like that about anyone?

– The vote was 5 -2 but WHY did Russell vote for Natalie? And why did Jessie and Lydia vote for Jordan??

– What was with Braden kissin’ Jessie’s butt? SO AWKWARD!

– I believe Jordan should thank Chima for the 500,000!

– I am thankful that the tie breaker question was not how many minutes in a quarter hour. I am still shocked that Jordan was so close with her guess of 50! Amazing!

I am very happy with how last night turned out. I know there are people out there who wanted Kevin or Natalie to win but for me I think it played out nicely.

In the beginning of the season I said that I wanted a female to win (I said this before Chima did) and I wanted either Jordan, Lydia, Michele or Laura to win. I guess I had guessed right on both counts!

***WHOO HOO Go Blogger, Go Blogger, It’s your birthday, (nope…that was 6 days ago)***

So here is where we go next….
