Big Brother 14 Have/Have Not Comp and Nominations

by BBBlogger on August 13, 2012

Big Brother 14 pulled out of its bag of tricks the “X-Squeeze Me” game for the Have/Have Not competition last night. The players have to wear sponge type costumes, this time lemons and limes. Then they jump into a vat of juice and move onto a juicer and have their juice squeezed out by the farmer. Farmers for this competition are Jenn and Frank. This game is usually good for a laugh or two. If you’ve seen it, you understand. Once again BB tries pushing the Danielle/Shane showmance by playing romantic music when they were squeezing each other. If you watch live feeds, you know that Shane is just doing what he has to do to stay in the house. He has absolutely no romantic feelings towards Danielle. The gal is head over heels in love with Shane and doesn’t see that he isn’t interested. It seems to be driving Brittany crazy because Danielle mentions Shane every other word in their conversations.

The Have Nots for the week are Brittany, Joe, Danielle and Shane. America voted to give the Have Nots Candy Canes and Cod. They probably shouldn’t eat those two items together, although maybe if you melt the candy canes and dip in the cod…yeah, never mind!

HOH Frank really wants to nominate Dan as a “pawn” this week. Boogie is dead set against doing this stating that it will destroy the trust they have established in their new alliance. Really, Boogie? Could it be that Boogie and Dan have a secret alliance that even WE don’t know about? Remember they know each other well outside of the Big Brother house. The other reason Boogie wants to keep Dan around is because once Dan is gone the target is going to be pointing directly at him. As usual, Frank succumbs to pressure and nominates Wil and Joe.

Wil refuses to bow to the HOH king and it looks like this may do him in this week. Originally, the plan was to vote Joe out. At the current time (YES…this means SPOILERS to those that only watch the TV show, so stop reading) Frank has the POV and so total control over who remains on the block. Once again, Frank thinks his best bet is to take down one of the two and backdoor Dan. A new alliance has formed between Wil, Ashley and Jenn (too little, too late?). Wil goes to Frank and proposes that they get Dan out of the house. Frank likes this idea so the idiot discusses it with Ian. This is like broadcasting it live on CBS. Ian doesn’t think it’s a good idea and seems to talk Frank out of it. Then he promptly goes downstairs and repeats everything to Brittany and Danielle. Ian does tell the girls it still looks like Wil and Joe will remain on the block. Brittany tells Danielle not to tell Dan. Of course, that means that Danielle is going to run straight to Dan and tell him. Today should be an interesting day in the BB house.

Have a happy, healthy Monday. Bloggergal

I spoke to Gillian Larson from Reality Rally yesterday. Those of you who read my blogs all the time know that Gillian was a contestant on Survivor Gabon. After competing, she started Reality Rally a fundraiser event held in Temecula California each year. I’ll tell you more about that later.

Gillian attended the live Big Brother show on Thursday. She was kind enough to give me a phone interview about the experience. Gillian had VIP tickets to the show. What that meant is she was able to bypass the line and wait in the “Green Room” for the show to begin. There were others there including fans that had won tickets. One of the producers stopped by to greet everyone and answer questions.

The fans’ number one question was one that we ask or discuss here on BBB all the time. Are the competitions, etc. changed to influence the game? Gillian has answered this question for me numerous times in the past. Due to legalities, the entire structure of the show is done months in advance. It’s all written out and set in stone. The Big Brother producer emphatically stated that nothing is changed or altered. This all goes back to the 1950’s game show fraud laws. So that’s it. I’ll never accuse the producers of “fixing” Big Brother again. I really do believe that with so many people involved they wouldn’t be able to get away with it. The producer said this is also why the coaches were given the choice of coming back into the game or not. Big Brother couldn’t force them to compete.

As for the set of Big Brother, Gillian tells me it’s located at Studio City. The live show audience, as you can see from your TV is very small. I asked Gillian if she felt that the audience was made up of mostly BB fans or “insiders” and she said definitely fans. The audience was very excited to be at the Big Brother house. The stage crew is constantly moving things around so that when Julie speaks the set looks a little different, i.e. moving the couches in and out, etc. The studio contains numerous monitors so the audience watches along with us when video is being played.

Gillian was sitting in the second to last row by the door in the audience. If you were paying close attention, when Janelle exited the BB house she turned to her right and hugged the woman in the last row. I saw this while watching the show and so I asked Gillian if she felt that Janelle knew her. Gillian didn’t think so. She said the woman reached out her arms to Janelle and Janelle graciously hugged her. Gillian said that Janelle looked beautiful with her makeup perfect and everyone felt she was very prepared to exit the Big Brother house and was dressed for the occasion.

After Janelle spoke to Julie, she exited the area as the HOH competition was being held. Unfortunately, Gillian didn’t get a chance to speak with her after the show.

Gillian mentioned that the producers and crew were excited about the new HOH game. As I’m sure all the regulars realize, this game had never been used on Big Brother before. Just to refresh your memory, the game consisted of a made up song describing one of the already held competitions and the contestant had to state if it was an HOH, a POV or a Coach’s competition. As with everything, the producer said that this game was invented and prepared long before this season of Big Brother.

Gillian’s event Reality Rally is very close to my heart. Not only does it involve Reality Stars (I love them!) but it also helps breast cancer patients. My sister had breast cancer and I’m always looking for ways to help. I know most of you know what Reality Rally is but for those who don’t I’ll summarize. Reality Rally is a fundraiser type event held in Temecula California in April of every year. This is the third year and it will be held on April 5-7, 2013. Tons of Reality Stars attend (over 100!) to help raise money to support Breast Cancer patients. The event itself is an Amazing Race type. Teams of regular people (like you and me) are matched up with Reality Stars and race around Temecula completing challenges. The first team to complete all the challenges wins. You can bet that your Reality Star DOES NOT want to lose!

Included in the festivities is a cocktail party on Friday evening with the Reality Stars. This is a great way to hang out with the stars, take pictures and ask questions. All the stars are very gracious and considerate of their fans. Saturday is race day and also the Reality Rally Pit Party. The party is held at one of Temecula’s wineries and it’s a beautiful event. You can watch your favorite Reality stars walk the Red Carpet. Sunday morning concludes the activities with a breakfast. You get the chance to take more pics and eat with one of your favorite Reality Rally stars. All in all, it’s an amazing weekend. Vacationing in Temecula without Reality Rally is great, so with Reality Rally you just can’t go wrong! Start planning to attend now and you’ll even get to meet me!!!! 🙂

As Reality stars sign up to attend the 2013 Reality Rally, I’ll let you know who is going to be there. Last year, some of the “biggies” were Richard Hatch (Survivor), Evel Dick (BB), Adam Poch (BB), the Munoz brothers (AR), Jonathan Novack (The Bachelor), Brendon and Rachel (BB), Michelle Noonan (BB) and Philip Sheppard (Survivor). This year promises to be bigger and better than ever with more stars, especially those from the most current seasons of Big Brother, Survivor and Amazing Race. You can check out all the Reality Rally information by click here Reality Rally 2013

On to the current Big Brother show. POV was held last night and low and behold Frank wins…again! He says that nominations are going to remain the same with Wil being evicted this week. That’s what he says, however, it is only Sunday. Anything can happen between Sunday and Thursday so stay tuned! Bloggergal

Big Brother 14…Frank’s Nominations

by BBBlogger on August 11, 2012

Happy Saturday all!!!

Frank nominated Wil and Joe for eviction yesterday. I wouldn’t be surprised to see them attempt to backdoor someone, but maybe, just maybe they are sticking to what they said? Now, that would be a change, wouldn’t it? I do know that Frank told Ashley that she wouldn’t be nominated and all he asked from her was that she not change the nominations if she wins POV. So that leads me to believe he wants to keep Wil and Joe on the block. Yeah, I’d want them out too–they are such strong, strong players! (yep, sarcasm!)

Have a great day…see you tomorrow…Bloggergal

Oh and by the way…I have a little surprise for you coming up either tomorrow or Monday so stay tuned!

Big Brother All Star Janelle Is Evicted from BB14

by BBBlogger on August 10, 2012

Well, there you have it…Janelle was evicted from Big Brother 14. If the newbies are smart, they will keep on evicting coach after coach, but we know they aren’t going to do that, don’t we? Once again, Frank managed to survive eviction and become the new HOH. Oh yippie! (Yes, that’s sarcasm.) It’s not that I don’t like Frank. Actually, I don’t have any feelings for Frank either way. I’m just sick of seeing the same people get HOH.

The BB producers must be thrilled that they still have Boogie to manipulate into saying clever, mean things in the DR. I heard Frank say last night that they wanted him to say that Janelle was an all star and that now he’s the all star, but he refused. I was surprised we didn’t get fish before he finished that statement.

So the question is who will puppet master Boogie have Frank nominate for eviction? They are throwing around the idea of Joe and either Shane or Brittany. They say Joe is their target, but honestly, why would you target Joe? My prediction is Frank/Boogie turn on someone strong and eliminate another biggie in the game. If it was me, I’d look to once again backdoor someone. Don’t forget Shane has the Veto card allowing him to play in the Veto no matter what.

Now on to Ashley. I ?guess? that she is hurt and not feeling well, but she’s acting like a zombie. She didn’t really seem to know what was going on throughout the show last night. If you notice, she hasn’t been talking on the feeds much either. That whole Ashley/Ian romance is pretty silly. BB is desperate to focus on SOMETHING. The HG’s aren’t giving them much fodder.

I don’t think Janelle was very disappointed about leaving the house. I suspect that she must really miss her baby, at least I hope she does!

Have a great day all. Bloggergal

Janelle or Frank? Will Frank be lucky again this week and stick around or is Janelle gone now that she is a player and no longer a coach.

I know there is a LOT of fans of Janelle. She is probably one of the most popular players to ever play the game…but I have a feeling the house is going to get rid of their first “coach now player” tonight!

I think Frank is a cat and he has 9 lives! Still cannot believe his luck from last week! :-/

I could go on and on and on and on about the twists and how I feel about the coaches now in the game or how CBS is doing things wrong…but it does not matter. They can do what they want…to me…what the most important thing is what you, the loyal fans of Big Brother Blog want!

So tell me…who do you vote to evict this week. Frank or Janelle. Vote below by commenting and cast your vote for eviction!

Peace, BBBlogger

Big Brother 14 Wednesday Update

by BBBlogger on August 8, 2012

Wednesday update…okay, I don’t have a Wednesday upate! 🙂 My son is in from Colorado. Yesterday I enjoyed an entire day with him. He’s 21 now. How’d that happen? Today we are going to see the Bodies exhibition in Atlanta. Not sure if I’m looking forward to seeing the entire inside of a body or not. My son is heading towards the medical field, so I thought it was appropriate.

From the little that I did catch, nothing much is going on in the BB house. Janelle still thinks she’s safe. I really can’t understand why she would think that. If the house was going to vote out Frank, why would Danielle put her on the block? I’ll be happy to see one less coach in the house next week. However, leaving Boogie and Frank in the house could be big, big trouble for all the others.

There was slight amusement when Janelle was making Joe exercise and follow her dance movements. She made Danielle and Brittany work out too and they were acting like lazy teenagers being forced to do chores by their mom!

Sorry…that’s all I have today. Comments will fill you in way better than me, but at least you have a clean page now.

Hugs and Kisses all!!!! Bloggergal

Danielle is the new BB14 HOH

by BBBlogger on August 6, 2012

Last night’s show highlighted the remainder of the HOH endurance competition. BB did a good job of showing that Frank and Boogie were inside the BB house instead of outside cheering on their player Ian. I think Boogie really was surprised that Frank was going to be evicted and lost it for awhile there.

BB tried to play up Shane kissing Danielle after her win. It might as well have been her a** because that was his goal! As mentioned previously he was really upset that his HOH last week was pretty much useless. Actually, due to Dan, it wasn’t useless, it made Boogie and Frank all the more angry and not trusting of him!

I got a kick out of the part where Big Brother showed Ashley and Ian sitting on the hammock only to have Shane come out and exercise. Ashley’s eyes were glued on him. Okay, my eyes were glued on him too.

Danielle is falling under the hypnotic spell of her former coach Dan. He worked very hard to make sure that Boogie was NOT nominated. He says he doesn’t want a coach eliminated because it will put a huge target on him. Yep, as it should!

As well all know by now, Danielle nominated Wil and Frank. She also has won the POV. There has been much controversy concerning Ian having to wear a dog costume and behave like a pet, including being taken to the bathroom on a leash. Geesh, BB…what are you thinking?

That’s it for now. I’ll try to be back after the Veto ceremony. Monday, Monday…can’t trust that day 🙂 Bloggergal

So, have you ever heard of the World’s Longest Yard Sale? It goes from Ohio all the way down to Alabama. My husband and I checked it out in Gadsden Alabama. We traveled about 20 miles and it took three hours! Part of the reason was traffic and of course the other part was the stopping. I only bought a few things. I should be selling not buying! Why am I telling you all this? Well, because this is what I did yesterday instead of writing a blog and watching the boring Big Brother house!

From what I saw though, Danielle managed to get POV. Wow, two wins in a row are big for the gal. This POV was the reward/punishment one. So who got stuck with the unitard this time? Frank! teehee Brittany and Janelle were celebrating that Frank was going to be evicted in a unitard.

Danielle needs to realize that the coaches are manipulating her. She should be backdooring Boogie this week. The four coaches are going to steamroll their way through the newbies. It’s so sad. Dan really has her snowed. Right before the Nomination Ceremony she was having doubts and thinking about putting up Boogie, but Dan talked her out of it. Did it ever occur to her that Dan is working with Boogie? Dan keeps saying that he knows Boogie outside the Big Brother house. Hmmm….

I’m not sure what else happened in the BB house yesterday. I haven’t had the chance to read yesterday’s comments yet. Here’s your clean page. Who is going to be first to comment today? Also, now that the coaches are in the competition, who are you rooting for? I think I’m going with the underdog Ian. Have a great Sunday. Bloggergal

Quite the Night in the BB14 House!

by BBBlogger on August 3, 2012

Now that’s more like it Big Brother! It was quite a night, wasn’t it? The live eviction show started out a bit slow and looking back now, rather pointless. The HG’s were back and forth about the eviction…would it be Joe or would it be Frank? Some were worried about the loyalty of Wil since he seems to really like Frank. As of show time however, Frank was supposed to be evicted.

I have to admit, this part did surprise me. I expected the coaches entering the game to come up after eviction. But, instead of having the eviction, Julie told the HG’s about America’s Vote. Of course, America voted to give the coaches the opportunity to join the game or remain as coaches (cough, cough). If they remained as coaches previously evicted players would have a chance to get back in the game. Each coach would enter the Diary Room and if they wanted to join the game they would push a big red button. Now here’s the catch, only ONE coach had to push the red button to have ALL the coaches enter the game. Brittany was up first. She seemed a little conflicted, but she pushed the button. Boogie did not push the button. He doesn’t want to be in the game and he thinks the other coaches are going to feel the same way. As Boogie passes Dan in the hall, he gives him the NO signal. However, Dan does not hesitate in pushing the button. You can just tell that Dan wanted in this game from the start. Janelle also pushes the button. Later on, Brittany and Janelle both pretend that they didn’t want to come into the game, leaving all the blame on Dan’s shoulders.

With all the coaches joining the game, Julie says it has been “reset”. What that means is that both Frank and Joe get to remain in the game. Big Brother…you found a way to keep Frank in the game, right? Shane is able to play for HOH. All players are now playing as individuals.

The HOH competition is endurance. We knew that was coming, didn’t we? The players have to stand on a little platform while holding on to a bar on the side of a pirate ship. Not surprisingly the pirate ship rocks back and forth. The weather every now and then turns stormy and the players are soaked with cold water along with wind and (pretend) bird poop. Not a pleasant way to spend a couple of hours, I’d say. These competitions notoriously favor smaller HG’s. In other words, the big, muscle men don’t have a prayer.

Boogie is still very unhappy that now he has to play in the game. I think he really didn’t want to. After all, he has tons of money. I think he wanted to spend a summer in the BB14 house tanning by the pool, coaching and relaxing. Ha ha…the jokes on you Boog. He is heard to say that he’s only going to stay on a little while. He has no interest in fighting for this HOH. I won’t quote time because I didn’t write them down, but Boogie jumps off first. Jenn seemed to have been waiting for someone else to drop and she jumps off next. Joe is quick to follow. It’s a little while before the next HG comes down. Ashley slips and falls. Another long stretch of time goes by before Frank comes down. Shane is struggling and moaning, but trying his best not to give in. IMO, this was just plain silly because there were players that seemed quite content up there. Wil, being so tall was also struggling. I can’t remember who came down first, but both Shane and Wil are out of the challenge.

We are down to Janelle, Brittany, Danielle and Ian. Janelle is uncomfortable and you can tell she’s not going to make it to the end. She’s next off. The last three start to negotiate. Well, actually Brittany and Danielle are trying to get Ian to jump off. On the live feeds, this was interesting because one of the feeds was focused on Frank and Boogie in the house talking about how they need Ian to win this HOH so they can be safe. The two idiots are in the house getting warm and dry while the others are outside influencing the remaining three players. I don’t think Ian would have taken the deal if Frank and Boogie were outside telling him not to. I’m not sure if he could have remained up there longer than Danielle, but now we’ll never know. Ian agrees to jump down after Brittany and Danielle agree not to nominate or back door him.

With just Danielle and Brittany remaining, Brittany agrees to give the HOH to Danielle and she jumps down. Danielle is the first HOH of the reset BB14. My question is…was Brittany being nice or was she just trying to keep the blood of her hands?

The house was abuzz after the HOH competition. Everyone was in a little bit of shock. Shane was very upset because he feels like he worked really hard all week for absolutely nothing. Yep, that pretty much sums it up, doesn’t it? Dan had let it slip that Frank would have been voted off. Oops! Dan is one smart guy…did he really make a mistake in releasing this little tidbit? Brittany, Shane and Dan are breathing easy this week. Dan thinks Danielle should take Janelle into the alliance. This is probably not a bad idea since she’s such a strong player. Boogie is still walking around mumbling about how he doesn’t want to be a Have Not. He just wanted to enjoy the summer. Teehee. Janelle is quickly turning on Wil so she can keep the target off herself. I didn’t see or hear that Wil talked to Danielle about the game last night. I think he’s in trouble. Jenn is still the invisible HG. Joe and Ashley will probably do whatever Janelle tells him to. The last is MO, I don’t know for sure. Frank and Boogie say they will stick together to the end.

Okay, now let the game begin…

Frank or Joe? One of them is about to GO!

by BBBlogger on August 2, 2012

That’s right Big Brother Blog. Time for me to come out and give my weekly spin on the things going on inside the Big Brother 14 house!

So Shane and his time of HOH is coming to a close but before he turns over his key tonight, he is going to make sure the back door is wide open for Frank. POV is a powerful thing and well it is looking like Joe is going to be just fine and Frank’s time is numbered! Or is it??

But as always who knows…with the threat of the “coaches” coming back into the game, you never know what will happen. Expecting the unexpected tonight on the LIVE SHOW!

So at the end of the day, it really does not matter what I think or what the house guests think. What really matters is what you, the readers of Big Brother Blog think. So I am going to open up the diary room for you and ask you to please cast your vote to evict either Frank or Joe.

I like Frank so I would personally vote Joe…but I have a feeling that is not how it is going down tonight!

Peace, BBBlogger

PS: Have you stopped by the chat room at http://www.big-brother-chat.com yet? Love to see you there tonight during the show!
