Big Brother 23 — Week 4 Veto Meeting Results

by Lisa Marie Bowman on August 2, 2021

Today was the day of the veto meeting. For the 2nd week in a row, Christian was the winner of the golden power of veto and, for the 2nd week in a row, he did not use it. So, Whitney and Hannah remain on the block. Whitney is still firmly the target and — *yawn* — it looks like it’s going to be another unanimous vote.

Sorry, did I just yawn in public there? Well, I’m sorry. This season got off to a good start and I’m glad that the show made an effort to address the diversity issues that were raised over the course of past few seasons but, ever since Travis got voted out, season 23 has been pretty boring. The same people are in control every week. The vote against Brent was unanimous. The votes against Frenchie and Travis were both nearly unanimous. It appears that the vote against Whitney will also be unanimous. There’s not much campaigning or scheming going on. Instead, everyone just talks about how important it is that the right person win the next HoH because the House still has the mindset that the HoH, as opposed to the houseguests, is the one who decides which nominee goes home. As of right now, it appears that Sarah Beth is going to be the target next week, unless she’s lucky enough to win HoH.

Whitney knows she’s going. The efforts to fool her have not been as successful as they were with Brent. Derek X keeps slipping up and talking about what he and Hannah are planning on doing next week, often with Whitney sitting or standing right in front of him. There’s not much suspense this week.

Still, we’ll see what happens. You never know. Maybe Whitney will suddenly come up with a brilliant plan to save herself.
