Big Brother 17 — We Have A Cliffhanger!

I watced, mostly fast forwarded BBAD this morning and saw the convo with JMac to blindside Austin.

All I can say with Vanessa, her paranoia and mood swings, I will bet dollars to doughnuts that she will have changed her mind over 100 times by the time of the actual vote.

Bye-Bye Austin!!!

@BCMarie…..I agree 100%. If they haven’t already had the eviction I’ll bet her head is spinning around like the exorcist! and probably spewing green bile!

I watched the conversation earlier in the evening when Johnnie Mac and Steve were in the back yard. JM told Steve that he told Vanessa he was going to vote Steve out and told Steve he needed to get up there and tell Vanessa how bad it would be for her going to final 4 with Austin.

Johnnie talked with Vanessa again later in the night and said he thought it would be better to keep Steve and vote him out next eviction (which he has no intention of doing). He and Steve are planning to get out Vanessa. I heard Steve practicing his eviction speech to Vanessa in the back yard, very funny!

Liz and Austin came up to talk with Vanessa about 8:00 p.m. and he was absolutely revolting. I hope Van doesn’t change her mind about voting him out because it would serve him right after all the superior, stupid comments he made about his goodby speech to Steve. What a jerk. Vanessa asked him if he had made any deals with JM to keep him and he said yes but he had no intention of keeping them. That JM didn’t throw the veto to him or Liz (and why the hell would he expect him to since he was on the block) so he isn’t going to throw the HOH to him. Liz was sitting there agreeing with him and said Steve had some nerve coming to her to solicit her vote since he had sent her sister home (she didn’t say because Austin was on the block lol). I guess she has forgotten all those times she sent people home. Double standard much!!!

Vanessa knows it is better for her to go to final three with JM and Steve. I don’t care what Austin and Liz promise her they are taking each other if any way possible. Even after she made them promised to throw the final HOH to her.

I’m keeping my fingers crossed for Austin to LEAVE THE HOUSE FINALLY!!! I also can’t wait to see the look on his and Liz’s faces. Priceless.

Good report and critique, Lisa….as per usual. However, because I just can’t trust Vanessa
any further than I could throw her, I’ve come up with another possibility. I truly hope I’m
wrong. So JM votes to evict Austin, and Liz votes to evict Steve, leaving the tie breaker
in Vanessa’s hands. What if she has no intention of voting Austin out and is just playing
JM? She votes to evict Steve, knowing Liztin will be furious with JM and ever so grateful to her. JM becomes the biggest target of the group and Vanessa has secured another week of safety with the Liztin. Then she can compete from then on out. Plus, Steve has been
duped into thinking he’s safe and doesn’t come unglued.

I really hope for once she’s on the level and will do what she’s told JM she’s going to do. I think she stands a far better chance of winning if she goes with Steve and JM to the end. She can top both of their game resumes. But JM, while never being HOH, has won 4 (I believe) vetoes and has been 2nd in many of the comps. I don’t think he’ll be considered a floater by the jury. However, if all the comps he supposedly threw come into question…..it might be a different story. But once again, with this group things don’t happen like they normally would.

I can hardly wait for the next BB episode to reveal who was evicted, and who will become
the next HOH. It’s a big HOH.

Wow! My theory might just come true! It will almost make all of the frustrations of this season worth it! Maybe!! 🙂
Let’s all hope (and pray????) Vanessa sticks to her word for once! I can now say I am looking forward to Tuesday and Wednesday night! Fingers, toes and eyes crossed!! 🙂 Thank you Lisa for another great …. good news. …. hopefully report!! 🙂 Be back …..

I meant to comment on Liz’s new look for the Grande concert. Wow! I haven’t been
very impressed with her looks, in fact thought Julia was the better looking of the two.
But the hair color and style made her look stunning. The make-up was excellent. She should
really think about doing the hairstyle and color for real. When she came back to the house and changed back into her usual look…..it was so drastically unflattering, the contrast was
mind boggling. The long hair with the shape of her face don’t go well together. Just as the
long hair and the elongated facial structure of Vanessa make for an even longer looking
face. Maybe if the hair had more curl to it?? But who am I to make comments on the looks
of anyone else? The point was: Liz looked great for the concert.

Since I’ve had very little to say about Liz that was positive, I had to give credit where credit is due.

Go inside the Big Brother House with CBS live feeds 24/7… Well, not exactly, or in Julie lingo, expect the unexpected, but not a refund.

I agree, Liz did really look beautiful with her hair red and the shorter style!! That bleached blonde look does her no favors..you can tell the twins have dark hair naturally. Anyway…she looked older and very pretty. I dont think Vanessa will win this BB….just a feeling. I think Liz will.. we’ll see

I was up late last night watching the Live Feeds . After BBAfterdark went off went back to watching and I also caught when Vanessa called Jmac in and right in front of Liz and Austin playing chess. Said she wanted to make a big move and get Austin blindsided !!
I sure hope she sticks to this decision it will make the last three weeks worth everything she did wrong in this game and Steve.
Steve at the time was going around making himself so sick that I even felt sorry for him!!!
Even though he brought it on himself.
Van if you stick to this and take Steve and Jmac to the final 3 I will even want you to win the game!!!!
Now johnmc or steve need to get out Liz the showbizz twin out the door. This will make for great TV GO Vanessa and get Austin and Liz out. I think Van finally knows they will not take her to final 3. Thank God

Astra Kelly: Have you ever seen Julie Chen on a late night talk show? She is so silly and
immature, not to mention phony acting and sounding. It is enough to make you lose your
dinner. I used to love Julie Chen. Then she married the CEO of CBS, started The Talk,
and became very stiff and ridiculous on BB. It’s a shame, because she is beautiful and
was such a sweet charmer at one time. Now she acts like she doesn’t have an active
brain cell that’s connected to her tongue. She’s lost some weight, too and on the first
showing her head looked too big for her frame. I believe she looks far prettier when she
has a little more weight on her frame. She was gorgeous when she was pregnant.

Oh, i’d be so insane in the bb house with nothing to really do…. no privacy. I’d probably be the first one to end up in jail or the nut house. Oh and there’s so many things I do to make fun of…I start thinking about how I can’t sit still, mess with my hair all the time… dye it freaky colors, have tattoos, dress like a bag lady…. wear mens lounge pants. Always look like I’m ready for bed. No make up. Nervous hair cutter.lol.
Pray out loud but it sounds like I’m talking to a person…. complaining, asking, even say mean things then say, ‘sorry God’ lol..i’d probably puke every time I ate slop.
If I got pissed i’d be hiding Vanessa’s hats. If she followed me around chewing me out I KNOW because I like my personal space….i’d scream at her to shut up and the word dildo would most likely pop up in one of my angry comments.

I like Julie Chen. I do think she has created this mold as hostess of BB that is difficult for her to break out of, not that I think she has much of a choice in the style of presentation. She is much more relaxed on The Talk.

I like Lisa Marie & Sherry’s theories, gives me something to think about. Seems to me that Vanessa is in trouble since she can’t play for HOH & I think she’s target #1 for whichever side remains this week. Not worth straining my brain pondering possible scenarios, nothing logical ever happens!

Donnette from the previous blog, I hope you are reading this. I personally do not consider this blog a clique. It just a place where people post about BB. There are a lot of times that my posts do not get any response at all, I am okay with that, I still enjoy reading every one else’s posts.

It is on BBAfterdark but not on live feeds why I do not know. Just hope Van doesn’t change her mind again and keep the austwin it will really make me sad to see steve go. Then van should know that austins nasty speech will not get him votes at all.

I too have mixed emotions about Julie. I go back and look at previous Big Brothers and she is so different. She really seemed like she enjoyed the show. Not so much now. She looks like a mannequin ( sp.??).

I don’t know why Julie bother’s everyone. Maybe I just have too much going on in my head i’m worrying about that i can’t seem to pay real deep attention to ppl and she doesn’t bother me. I just keep busy doing other things while i’m watching it so maybe that’s why. i know i thought she looked extra thin and i made the comment i want to be skinny again to hubby who doesn’t really listen to me so we’re a bunch of non listeners here. lol

i hope austin and his nice butt got voted out too.

I just hope and pray Vanessa doesn’t win this year.

I feel that jmac has been playing the game in his unique style from the beginning. Quiet, observant and perceptive he sat back taking in the events and facts and storing the info into his memory banks and eventually putting all the puzzle pieces together. He figured out exactly what Van was up to and that she was running the show. While everybody thought he was just sleeping he was actually planning and plotting his strategy just as well as Vanessa but with a cool laid back demeanor compared to Vanessa’s frantic style. I applaud him for having the courage in letting her know that he was on to her by calling her the devil to her face and then being smart enough to align with her. Underneath it all Vanessa respects him for his candor but at the same time she is uneasy because she can’t quite get a complete read on him and therefore she can’t manipulate or trust him so she is keeping her enemy close. He allowed himself to be used as a pawn how many times…?…but he’s not a floater. He’s no Victoria as some in jury may mistakenly think.

Steve is a player who fooled everyone with his shtick. He’s a mad genius. As I have said before so much of his behavior was an act put on to fool the other houseguests into thinking exactly what he wanted them to think which is that he was just a nerdy guy and hoping they would underestimate him. He is nerdy, socially awkward but also brilliant and I applaud him for plotting that strategy. I have never not liked him, instead have kind of been on his side because he is the nerdy under estimated underdog. I like underdogs. He allowed the ring in his nose to be pulled around by Vanessa and he was happy to do so knowing it would get him further in the game. She was so mean to him sometimes that I wish I could have slapped her. He also is no Victoria as some in jury may mistakenly think.

Austin, poor Austin, he fell in love and it totally knocked him off his game. I think he is very intelligent, has nice eyes when he takes his glasses off and is sensitive underneath his “Judas” exterior. I think that he would like to be Judas but it’s really not in him no matter how he tries to project that persona. He is a great big softy and putty in the hands of a female. He is a yes man to both Liz and Vanessa, sadly. It would have been nice to see how he would have played if he had not fallen in love. At first I didn’t care, but now I hope that he doesn’t have his heart broken by Liz. And yeah, he may be full of himself thinking Hollywood in some way, shape or form is waiting outside the BB exit door, but in my opinion I think that every guest that has ever been on any season has a huge ego needing to be fed and craving stardom albeit a little or a lot.

Don’t want to even think about Vanessa right now.

Some time ago I predicted F3 would be Vanessa, Steve and Austin and with Lisa’s tentative info about Austin being evicted (yippee!!) that leaves only 2. I am okay with either Steve or JMac in F2, and prefer JMac winning because of his student loan debt of $250K. Don’t want Vanessa to win at all because she would blow the money in about a month…she mentioned how fast she can lose 50K in an hour at the casinos. What a relief it would be for JMac to get out from that crushing debt and I’m rooting for him all the way!!! Next I prefer Steve to win.

I wish we knew about and could see more of the jury process. The jury is making decisions based on only ½ of the facts at best. BB should rework that part of the game so the guests can make better decisions and let us watch the deliberation process in more detail. We fans invest 3 months and then are left hanging with so many questions…at least I do. For instance last year…did anybody find out if Victoria ever heard what Frankie said and how Derrick chimed in, and if so…how did she react? I would love to know all the nitty gritty details of the “other side” of the game.

Ok…need to get caught up!!

sherry I agree with you about showing more of what happens in the jury house, and I would really love it if maybee they started off a new BB season with a show that covers the highlights of the previous season and how life has treated players after their season. For example, last year there was something about Caleb that resonated with me, Beast Mode Cowboy 😉 that I wonder if he went back to working at Lowes lol.

I would love to know a year from now how Austin will feel about how he has been perceived. I wonder if Vanessa would ever be able to win professional poker again now that her tells are on permanent display for the world to see 😉

I had a swear word in the post so I thought that may have been the problem, so I hit the back button, copied the contents of the long post text box, came back to the blog through another window, pasted the text, edited the swear word, hit submit. .. still no post.

I thought swear word it, went to bed.

@sherry…..I’m fine,thanks for asking. In fact,about 3 days ago,my cough and all trace of sinus infection just cleared up!!! So fingers crossed, it’s OVER!!! (celebrates while knocking on wood!) But also, I am a free lance interior designer, my hubby and I have a cleaning business on the side , I have errands to run, cook dinner every nite. plus pack Mike lunches, and have boxes of fall decorations in my LR that I am trying to get up! SO….I am lucky if I get on maybe once during the day and then I come on late nite, as that is when I finally relax and watch BBAD!! I did post about 5:00, but it seems to have gone unnoticed as things I said have been repeated several times. About the only time I post consecutively is during comps. Or on a weekend. Not enough time in the day!!!!! lol

As far as Jessie being on so much, I am sure it is because he works cheap(orFREE) lives close and is an attention hog!!! It has nothing whatsoever to do with who is popular or who the fans want to see. Obviously, based on the HGS, production always does whatever is easiest. For THEM!!!

I haven’t had trouble posting lately but have had at some point every year. For whatever reason, posts get caught up in a cyber net and they aren’t released until Lisa sees them and sets them free!! I am suddenly, after a whole summer, having problems getting the letter that come to our email about the blog!! I haven’t gotten it once in about 3 weeks! My hubby gets it and he never does anything but read!!!lol Anyone else having this problem???

Oh….I wanted to comment too on the makeover the girls got to go to the concert. I thought Van looked just the same, only in dark purple hair….and if possible that color made her look even uglier!!!! Liz however was ADORABLE in that short wig!!! Whoever said the blonde did her no favors was right!! The red was much more flattering. She and her sis have very pale skin and very dark hair. Kind of china doll-ish. Blonde hair looks terrible unless you have a tan or wear more makeup than they do…which is usually none! the pink undertones don’t work with the fake blonde! I hope they let her keep the wig and she actually wears it. Maybe she will get compliments and catch on!!lol

I am so excited that Austin will be gone!!! I have BBAD on now and I am SOOO sick of hearing them in bed slurping and smacking under the covers!! Yuck! I really don’t know which way it will go right now, which is totally NOT what we are used to this summer!!! 😉 So it’s kind of exciting!! As I hav been saying, a female winner would be nice for a change, and Van DOES deserve it whether we like her or not. But one of the boys could pull it off too! Can’t wait for Wed!!!!!!

junksies, yes, I did see your post about Derrick and Caleb, will have to look it up tomorrow.

Even that post that I mentioned I had problems several days ago, THAT post took a long time to load. When you hit the Submi you have to sit on that page and just wait. I have noticed that the issue often seems to happen late at night. Many many websites often slow down or are not available for a short time at all as that is when servers perform backups and upgrades.

Stra I have a slow work week this week, I could have picked up more shifts, but had been feeling a bit bjech and blah. Groceries and housework have had to wait until I feel a bit better. So while recuperating I play on the net more 😉 I am a chronic insomniac so I could be here all hours of the day. I am also allowed to take my tablet to work with me when I work graves or weekends, I get cauhht up on a lot of reading then 😉

Okay, bloggers, I really need ya’ll today, of all days, my TV is acting up, actually its TW, I’ve lost my TV signal. Can’t get a tech here to fix it till tommorow. Today of all days, looking forward to a show worth watching and I am going to miss it. Will be hanging on the blog tonight to see how things go. I am so glad I have this blog or I would be in a real tizzy.

Star: Went back to where my posts were and there was the clip. He is very good. You
can tell he feels the music and is one with the music. Several guitars I noticed were
hung on the wall, which tells me he doesn’t do this as just a hobby. He is really into the
playing and the music. For some reason I thought he was a punk rock player. He is much
more refined in his music selections. I was really impressed. Thanks for sharing.

Margie: After you post do you wait until it has time to post itself before continuing
with the next thing you want to do on the internet? It takes a few moments to get
sorted and then posted. It will go off for a second and then it will show you your post.
I sit and wait for the post to show itself before doing anything else. I don’t know if this
will help, but it works for me. Another thing is the changing of the blog posts from Lisa
and BB Brother. Sometimes the post is stuck on the previous blog and doesn’t show on
the recent one. Maybe none of this is helpful, but I hope it is. It is so aggravating to spend
the time writing a post and then lose it.

swt: Tks, I have been reading the blog for a couple of years now and was sure I could depend on the find folks here to keep me informed. I feel welcomed here and am myself a fan of Lisa Marie’s updated, she puts things in order for me and keeps me informed, I like all the strategy talk done by the bloggers here, it keeps me from getting confused about who did or said what.

Junksies: I so agree with the jury having more information before being asked to vote.
(But then I would like to see everyone have to take a current events test before being
allowed to vote in political elections. If you aren’t informed enough to understand whom
and what you are voting for…then you shouldn’t be given a ballot that will reek havoc on
America and the world at large.) I believe the jury HGs should be able to get LFS while
there to really see how the game is being played. They need to know who has done what
to whom…..who has lied more than the others……who has been playing the game and
who has been given a free ride. They are really voting with only the personal knowledge
they obtained while they were in the BB house. The minute DVD they are allowed to
watch tells them next to nothing about what really happened. Yes, they get the low down
from the jury members that are evicted each week, but only from that one person’s
view point. But do I see this ever happening? Not just no, heck no.

There are so many things CBS could do to make the game more interesting and challenging, but they don’t seem to be interested in doing so. CBS has become like the teacher who sets up an exciting and well thought out plan on what will be taught and how it should be taught right before beginning the first week on the job. The first few years go well, and the teacher is given rave reviews by the parents and students. Then each year finds the teacher losing more interest in keeping things fresh and interesting for the students. The changes that might have been made along the way have actually taken away from the original, basic plan that worked so well. But the teacher no longer cares. Finally it becomes just a job with a check at the end, and the teacher is just going through the motions until the end of the school year. (Please don’t take this analogy as a criticism of all teachers. Most are wonderful and dedicated to their profession. But most of us can relate to having had one teacher we thought was like this. If not us, then our children. So it seemed to fit the bill for what I was trying to say.)

@Jolee…I agree with you 100% about the teachers. I have a cousin who is a teacher and she always has to buy supplies for her classes. In fact, I have given her money before to help her out.

I guess I need to add that my sister was a teacher, my father was a teacher, and my
husband was a teacher for several years (football coach, as well), then went into
social work. So, yes I’ve seen both sides of the spectrum. Most teachers DO have to
buy supplies, as well as often times buy extra supplies for those children who can’t
afford it. Sometimes they even bring extra food items for those who don’t get enough
to eat or because a parent forgot to pay for the weekly lunch fees. As I said, MOST
teachers are very professional, very dedicated, and really care about their students.
But just as some dentists are better than others, some doctors better than others, etc.,
my analogy was using an example of one who doesn’t fit in this category.

I was a dental hygienist for 32 years and bent over backwards to provide the best
care I could for my patients. I really cared about them and found leaving them when
I retired difficult. But I can honestly say, not all hygienists cared as much as I, nor
provided the extra services that I did. It wasn’t a skill thing, it was a mindset. This is
true of every profession, as it is on every network television station and the shows
they produce. So if I’ve offended anyone, please accept my apology. No offense against
teachers was intended.
