Big Brother 15 — “What’s Up With The Dumb Guy’s Hair?”

Good morning!

So, last night, I was talking to my sister Megan and I happened to mention that I was writing for a Big Brother blog.  Now, you should understand that my sister doesn’t watch any reality TV.  She thinks Big Brother is silly.  (“But that’s why it’s so fun….” I always attempts to explain.)  However, last night, as soon as I mentioned Big Brother, Megan asked, “What’s up with the dumb guy’s hair?”

Yes, it looks like David has managed to find his 15 minutes of fame.  And good for him because it doesn’t look like he’s going to be in the house much longer.  

Yes, McCrae is still planning to use his power of veto to take Candice off the block and to put Elissa up in her place.  Elissa already knows this is going to happen and she spent most of yesterday alternatively pretending that she didn’t care and trying to convince unlikely people (like Aaryn) to go into an alliance with her.

However, Elissa need not worry because McCrae wants to keep her around.  Wisely, he’s figured out that keeping Elissa around will guarantee that there’s a bigger target than him in the house.  He also thinks that he can use Elissa’s MVP powers to his advantage. 

As of last night, it looked as if McCrae had convinced nearly enough people to vote to send out David.  David, meanwhile, still seems to be clueless about what’s about to happen to him.

Big Brother 15 — The Story So Far Kinda (Spoilers And Stuff Below)

Hi, my name’s Lisa, I’m a Scorpio, a redhead, a writer, a dancer, and I’ve been watching Big Brother since it started.  I’m also going to be helping out BBBlogger and blogging during this current season.

As we head into the weekend, here’s where things appear to stand so far.  If I’ve got any of this incorrect, please correct me in the comments section below.  And, needless to say, all of this counts as a spoiler so read at your own risk if you want to be surprised on Sunday.

The head of household is McCrae.

The MVP is Elissa.  Apparently, almost the entire house has figured out that Elissa is Rachel’s sister (and McCrae, at one point, accidentally called her Rachel) and as a result, they want her out of the house.  Elissa is also trying to keep people from figuring out that she’s MVP but she made the mistake of telling McCrae who then told someone else and … well, you know how these things go.

McCrae has nominated Jessie and Candice.  I’m guessing that Jessie probably thinks she was nominated because she’s too pretty to stay in the house.

Elissa nominated David and his hair for eviction.

The POV competition was held yesterday.  McCrae won it so now the question seems to be whether or not he’s going to do what he’s told a lot of people that he’s going to do — i.e., backdoor Elissa.  If McCrae were to nominate Elissa, it seems pretty certain that she would go home.  However, it’s hard to predict what McCrae is going to do because, for a guy who was portrayed as being socially awkward during the first episode, McCrae appears to have a secret alliance with everyone in the house.

So far, for all the talk of an all-girl’s alliance, it looks like the guys are dominating the game.

And finally, this season’s current showmance seems to be Jeremy and Kaitlin.  Jessie is apparently upset over this because, as she told us on Wednesday night, she’s the only pretty girl in the house.

The Ultimate Power of Big Brother 15

Big Brother Season 15 – Episode 1

Fairly standard first show but you might have missed one of the things that gives this long time Blogger of Big Brother (aka BBBlogger) a huge smile and a mind blown with possibilities…

At the end, Julie “But First” Chen always says before we leave, let’s eavesdrop on the house guests!)

So they were talking, stunned about the new BBMVP twist. I love that it is a double secret probation reward. You have the choice to tell or not, you can pretend to have it (that is what I would do) and let people know and use it as a bargaining chip.

So let’s play out this week and talk some serious game play. McCrae is your HOH. He nominates 2 people. Let’s say that everyone thinks he is like Ian…a little geeky but could win like we saw last year…so the viewers make the Minnesota Pizza guy BBMVP and he gets to nominate the 3rd person so effectively you have nominated 3 of your house guests (enemies) and if you win POV you can keep them all or back door someone.

So key to having it all in the BB house this year, win HoH, win POV and make sure America loves you!

I remember some seasons where that would have worked out fairly well!

So I am hoping that will happen. I know it wont because I believe the winner of the BBMVP has been released and SPOILER ALERT…it is not McCrae. (didn’t see THAT one coming now did you!)

So here is where you guys come in, tell me your thoughts on game play this season, tell me how you think the 3 noms twist will work out and tell me if you agree with my Ultimate Power theory.

Big Brother 15 starts off with a POP-sicle

Wow…Big Brother 15. is here…and it is STILL JUNE! Talk about a dream come true!

So BBBlogger watched the first episode and I am tipping my hat and thinking…they are getting it right! 16 new faces (except Rachel’s clone) and a nice mix of personalities.

When the show started, it felt like a game show set and I hate to say, I kinda liked it…live audience off the bat…good stuff.

SIDENOTE: Did you notice Julie Chen really pronounce the BUT FIRST? She knows she rocks and she knows who she is to us on Big Brother!

The first HOH comp is all about the Popsicle and holding on for dear life. 3 people out after 7 minutes (do you think they threw the comp or what? dang FLOATERS!!) and then after 4 hours of hanging and not melting, McCrae wins HoH! (Way to go MN pizza boy!)

Love the BBMVP twist. So much potential! Cannot wait to see who America pics!

Lastly, did you hear the end of the show? One of the coolest things that COULD happen. HOH and BBMVP the same week. You then get 3 noms and basically all the control. That would be quite the POWER for the house.

Big Brother 15 starts TONIGHT!

Yes! You read that right! Big Brother 15 starts tonight at 7:00pm CST!!

So of course we have seen the house guests. We have talked about them in the comments of Big Brother Blog (see the last post!!)

I am excited and will be watching. I signed up last night on the live feeds and will be checking out how this new batch of house guests blend, get along and see how the twists will effect the house.

So say good bye to your families, your kids, your life because for the next 3 months…CBS and Big Brother owns us and we will watch…welcome back Big Brother! We missed you over the past 9 months! Thanks for starting EARLY!

I have seen the houseguests, I am working on my awesome, amazing, not to be missed initial thoughts on them. HOWEVER, since are not a “breaking news” BB site…we are about the AWESOME PEOPLE who frequent and comment. I want this blog post to be all about you guys…

What does the musical group The BareNaked Ladies and Big Brother 15 have in common?

Yep…it will be “ONE WEEK” until the madness starts! (see what I did there?) The BareNaked Ladies have a song called One Week. Big Brother 15 starts in One Week.

** sigh **

Man, I am still feeling the blogging rust I guess. Never good when you have to explain your dumb jokes!

So let’s talk Big Brother 15 and some of the new things. We saw the house. My first impressions are….cool and it is the same house just a little different look and feel.

Did you notice the nominee chairs are gone? Sounds like instead of 2 people, there might be 3. I think that would add to the process and could make the season more unpredictable which is always a good thing.

Also sounds like America, AKA US, will have a lot of choices to make for the house guests this season!

So lots of fun things and lots of craziness! I expect to see pics of the house guests in the next 24 hours! Are you excited yet?

Lucky number 13

So today marks 13 days until Big Brother 15. Still feel like I have so much to do before the craziness starts.

I know that their are videos and chat rooms already going crazy on the Live Feeds. I plan on doing my own things here on the blog as I have always done.

So everyone is excited that it sounds like we will have all new players. I think that is what the masses want and I believe that is what we are going to get…

However, there is rumors of a defector from another reality TV show that may jump and be a house guest….

How do you feel about a past Survivor being in the Big Brother 15 house? I am not sure if that is happening or not, but there is some speculation and just wanted to see if you believe that counts for ALL NEW HOUSE GUESTS!

Speaking of house guests, not sure when the reveal will be but my guess is on Monday or Tuesday. Thoughts?

Size Matters means a lot of things…

So if BBBlogger is going to blog daily, then I am going to have to get back into the swing of things right away.

The commercials for this year’s BB15 keep stressing the word BIG.

I also know in some of the more recent commercials, the tag line of “Size Matters” has been promoted heavily. Size matter….what does THAT MEAN?

I mean….come on. Yes we know you are starting earlier. Yes we get that you are going longer than usual.

Yes we find it cute how society is all about SIZE saying Bigger is Better.

Look at the Verizon commercials…BIGGER IS BETTER!
Look at the car commercials featuring Shaq…BIGGER IS BETTER!
Look at the reality show The Bachelorette…BIGGER IS….(so not going there!)

I guess this approach seems trivial to me since the name of the show IS BIG Brother (not medium brother or small brother or little bro or mini brother!) Big should be assumed.

So Big Brother 15 is poised to be BIGGER! Longer season, more house guests, more drama? (well I am hoping for more drama!)
