Big Brother 15 – The Day The Blog Died

by BBBlogger on August 26, 2013

Hey everyone,

BBBlogger here. Seems we are having some technical issues behind the scenes. So what does that mean?

Well, the blog is probably going to run slowly and it is also going to probably mean more comments fly into the abyss and maybe some spam posts pop up.

Our amazing blogger Lisa Marie is on vacation so please do not email her.

I promise to have it working in time for the next episode on Wednesday so comment at your own risk until then!

I will get things fixed. Hang on tight!

Peace, BBBlogger

Love you all and we will get things fixed soon. Until then….what do you think about the POV results??

Big Brother 15 — Amanda Wins Veto … Wait, What?

by Lisa Marie Bowman on August 25, 2013

Hi y’all!

I wanted to post a quick update and give y’all a new page to comment under before I hit the road on my vacation.

Elissa is Head of Household.  She nominated Aaryn and McCrae for eviction.  As I mentioned in my previous post, I wasn’t too happy that Elissa decided not to nominate Amanda but I could see her logic.

Afterall, Aaryn wins every competition.

And Amanda wins nothing, right?

Wrong.

Somehow, Amanda won the power of veto.  I’ve read all sorts of conspiracy theories online about Amanda suddenly winning the one challenge that she needed to win.

There’s a part of me that does think the whole game is being rigged and that the challenge  probably was specifically designed to allow Amanda to win.  That part of me also thinks that Elissa would have gotten a Pandora’s Box if Amanda hadn’t won the veto.  There’s more than one way to rig a game, after all.

The more rational part of me that feels that Amanda knew she was going to have to win this challenge and, as a result, she actually focused and made an effort to win.

After all, this has been the first week that either she or McCrae has actually been in danger.  This is the first week that either one of them really had to win a challenge.

It’s hard to say for sure because the challenge was not broadcast over the live feeds.  Everyone will have to wait until Wednesday to see how Amanda won that veto and even then, we’ll always wonder if we’re seeing the whole story or just a selectively edited version.

Anyway, Amanda is going to veto McCrae and she’ll probably give one of her standard, “I’m-so-cute” speeches when she does it.  Elissa says that she’s going to nominate Andy in McCrae’s place.

Andy is sobbing about it.

So, who goes home?  Andy or Aaryn?  As of right now, it looks like Amanda and McCrae will vote to to evict Aaryn while GM will vote to evict Andy.  Judd might be planning to vote to evict Andy but his vote still seems like it might be up in the air.   Spencer might end up being the swing vote and I have a feeling that Spencer will vote to keep Andy around.

Finally, how will last Thursday’s HoH competition is portrayed on tonight’s show.  Will we see Jessie cursing out Amanda after she falls?  Will they acknowledge the crazy fan who somehow popped up in the backyard?  Though I’m going to miss tonight’s episode, I’ve got the DVR set to record it so I can find out once I return home.

Bye for now and stay supple,

Lisa Marie

Big Brother 15 — Here’s Who Elissa Nominated

by Lisa Marie Bowman on August 24, 2013

Hi, y’all!

I wanted to give you guys a quick update and, even more importantly, a new page for everyone to leave comments under.  Sorry for any confusion yesterday. 😉

Well, Elissa is the HoH and yesterday, she did exactly what she said she was going to do.  She nominated Aaryn and McCrae for eviction!

Now, I have to be honest, I was really hoping that she would nominate Amanda and I still think that she should have.

I understand the logic of nominating Aaryn because Aaryn, after all, is the only person in the house who has proven that she can win competitions and she has also been doing Amanda’s dirty work.

My feeling, however, is that Aaryn may be strong when it comes to competitions but she’s still a very weak player.  Amanda, on the other hand, totally sucks at competitions but — love her or hate her — you can’t deny that she’s been the most powerful person in the house since this game began.

(While I don’t want to start giving into conspiracy theories, it’s interesting to note that when Elissa was MVP and thinking about evicted Howard, she told Helen that she was concerned that, if she did, production would yell at her in the Diary Room.  You can be sure that production would prefer to see Aaryn evicted over Amanda because, while Aaryn’s racism might be good for ratings, they still know the publicity would be terrible if Aaryn somehow won the game.  But that’s all just speculation on my part.)

But anyway, Elissa nominated Aaryn and McCrae and, regardless of whether I agree or not, I’m still happy that she did because it breaks up the monotonty.

And Amanda is hardly safe.  If Aaryn (or Aaryn’s ally GM) wins the power of veto, the plan appears to be to nominate Amanda in her place.  What I think would be even more interesting would be if McCrae won the power of veto.  Would McCrae use the veto, knowing that his Big Brother wife was pretty much guaranteed to go up in his place?  And if he did, would Amanda ever forgive him?

Or, consider this — even though Aaryn is Elissa’s target, let’s say that McCrae is somehow voted out.  Would Amanda be able to keep controlling the game or would she have a total breakdown?  As much as she bullies McCrae and as much as they fight, McCrae does occasionally have the ability to calm Amanda down.  Add to that, to me, Amanda comes across like the type of girl whose confidence is pretty much dependent upon having a “man” in her life.  (I’m sure we all know someone like that.)  If McCrae is somehow voted out while Amanda stays, I imagine we’ll see an even crazier Amanda than before.

Seriously, this could be a really fun week.

Stay supple,

Lisa Marie

P.S. By the way, as BBBlogger mentioned and as most of you know, I’m on vacation for the next two weeks.  My boyfriend and I are going to be on the road a lot so I might not be around to comment as much but I’m still going to try to check-in and, even though I might end up writing some of them them at two in the morning while sitting in a motel room in Arkansas, post regular updates. 🙂

Big Brother 15 – Was Helen Pushed?

by BBBlogger on August 23, 2013

Hey everyone, BBBlogger here. I have been quite and sitting back letting Lisa Marie be the rockstar blogger she is, but I wanted to add to the fun and share something I found online today.

Basically the question is….

WAS HELEN PUSHED?

See for yourself?

View post on imgur.com

Now, let’s hear it?

I know there are always conspiracy theories. I know people always think that it is rigged and stuff happens because of the producers. I have always just said I guess that could be true but always figured nah…stuff happens.

However, this one seems fishy to me.

I want to hear your thoughts! Share with everyone below in the comment section.

Peace, BBBlogger (the one and only)

Big Brother 15 — What a Night!

by Lisa Marie Bowman on August 23, 2013

Hi, y’all —

Big Brother finally got exciting last night!

Now, you can get a good play-by-play recap of what happened last night if you read the comments under yesterday’s post.  But here’s the long and the short of it:

As most of us predicted, Helen was voted out on a 4-1 vote.  Only Elissa voted to send out Spencer.  Helen went out of the house, talked to Julie, and — oh my God — I find myself if she was ever going to shut up or if Julie and her were going to continue the conversation over drinks after the show ended.

But, finally, Julie managed to get a word in edgewise and she let Helen know that she and the other three jurors — Jessie, Candice, and Da Judd — would be competing to re-enter the house.  Helen, needless to say, jumped up and down like an awkward girl trying out for cheerleader.

Julie announced to the houseguests that a juror would be reentering the house.  The look of shock and panic on Amanda’s face was priceless.  At this point, all four of the jurors reentered the house and we had sit through an eternity of everyone hugging and pretending like they were happy to see each other.  Candice even hugged Gina Marie and Aaryn.

Here’s how the competition worked:

All of the houseguests and jurors had to stand on a perch while being sprayed by water.  Every ten minutes or so, a bunch of baseballs were thrown at the HGs and the jurors.  The first person to catch ten balls would be the new head of household.  The first juror to catch ten ball would reenter the house and if that juror was also the first to catch ten balls, he or she would have been HoH as well.  If you fell of the perch, you were out of the competition.

The feeds kept going in and coming out throughout the competition but here’s a few highlights:

McCrae, Spencer, and Andy all fell off relatively early.

Some guy we’ve never seen before came running through the backyard, screaming that he was their biggest fan and he wanted to do shots with the houseguests.  A bunch of security guards grabbed him and dragged him off.  What’s odd is that the Houseguests didn’t seem to be to0 surprised so perhaps he’s not the first crazed fan to break through security.  (One never knows what might be happening while the live feeds are down.)  Then again, a lot of people on twitter seem to think that the crazed fan was a planted by production.  I just find it interesting the someone would go through the trouble to break into the Big Brother house and not shout, “AMERICA WAS THE MVP!”

Of the jurors, Jessie was initially ahead but then she slipped and fell off her perch.  As Jessie walked over the sidelines, she yelled, “F*ck you, Amanda!  I f*cking hate you!”  Good for Jessie.  (Though that’ll probably help out Amanda’s game because now people know that there’s at least one person on the jury who won’t vote for her in a final two situation.)

Both Helen and Candice eventually fell of their perches which means that Judd is coming back into the house!  To be honest, though, Judd has become so legendary that I think a few people have kinda forgotten that he’s really not that good at the game.  But, at least he’s likable.

After having her closest (and only) ally voted out of the house, Elissa was playing this game to win.  From the start, she caught the most balls and when she did slip off of her perch, she executed an amazing move to pull herself back on before her feet touched the ground.

And guess what?

In the end, with only Elissa, Amanda, Gina Marie, and Judd still on their perches, Elissa caught her tenth ball and is now head of household!

Now, a lot of people on twitter think that Amanda wasn’t sprayed by as much water as some of the other houseguests.  They also think that she was thrown more balls than the other houseguests.  I don’t know if that’s necessairly true but I do know that it appeared to me that occasionally, Elissa’s balls were being thrown short.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying that this is 100% the case.  And, ultimately, it doesn’t matter because — even though Amanda did surprisingly well in this challenge — she still didn’t win.  Elissa won and there was must rejoicing.

(And just consider that, if it is true that Amanda was thrown more balls and wasn’t sprayed by as much water, Amanda still couldn’t win HoH even with the comp being rigged in her favor!)

Now that Elissa is head of household, she’s saying that she’s planning on nominating Aaryn and McCrae.  I know that a lot of us would prefer that she put up Amanda but I can see Elissa’s logic.  If Aaryn doesn’t go this week then she’s a real risk to win HoH and then Elissa would end up nominated.  Whereas Amanda can get as mad as she wants, she’s still proven herself incapable of winning challenges.

I still think Elissa’s making a mistake though.  Even if Amanda can’t win challenges, she’s still proven herself capable of controlling both McCrae and Andy.  GM will also be looking to take out Elissa if Aaryn is sent home.  Elissa’s best hope would probably try to make an alliance with Spencer and Judd but, as much as I love Judd, it’s hard to forget that, up until he was voted out, he was basically willing to do Amanda’s bidding.  Judd also pretty much blamed his entire eviction on Helen and Elissa, even though it was Amanda’s paranioa that sent him out of the house.

My dream scenario remains this: Aaryn and McCrae are nominated.  Aaryn or McCrae wins POV.  Amanda goes up in their place.

Amanda, by the way, appears to know that there’s a strong possibility of this happening as well.  That’s why she spent all of last night complaining about how unfair Elissa is being.

That’s it for now.  Nominations will be announced later today.

Stay supple,

Lisa Marie

Big Brother 15 — The Diary Room Has Been Opened

by Lisa Marie Bowman on August 22, 2013

Hi, everyone!

Well, it looks like BBBlogger has officially opened up the Diary Room.  Who do you want to see go tonight?

Do you vote to evict Helen, the politically ambitious cheerleader who thinks that voting out Judd was a humongous move?

Or do you think that tonight should be the end of Spencer, the guy who has spent almost his entire time in the house with his hands down his pants?

Personally, as much I dislike Helen, I still have to vote to evict Spencer.  The fact of the matter is that I can’t look at him without remembering that this is a guy who jokes about enjoying child porn.

Tonight’s episode should be a good one!  Not only will either Spencer or Helen be leaving but one of the jurors will be re-entering the house.  Since it looks like it’s going to be Helen who’s evicted, that means that she’ll compete with Jessie, Candice, and Judd for the chance to return.

Who will win?

Well, it depends on the challenge.  However, Candice and Jessie were never big threats when it came to challenges so I think that the returning houseguest will either be Judd or Helen.  I know that a lot of people will be very happy if Judd comes back.  By the same token, those same people will probably have the exact opposite reaction if Helen returns.

Finally, yesterday was a pretty active day.  Not only did Elissa tell Aaryn that Aaryn’s has basically wasted all of her HoHs, but last night, Aaryn somehow drank nail polish remover.  Apparently, she thought it was water.

I wonder if we’ll get to see any of this on tonight’s show.

We’ll find out soon enough!

Don’t forget to vote for who you would evict!  As for me, I vote to evict Spencer and I hope that Judd comes back into the house.

Stay supple,

Lisa Marie

Big Brother 15 — Two Conversations From Last Night

by Lisa Marie Bowman on August 21, 2013

Hey everyone!

Are you looking forward to tonight’s episode?  I am, even though I know every thing that’s going to happen.  However, I can’t wait to see both Helen’s reaction to discovering that she’s the target and her efforts to turn Aaryn against Amanda.  Plus, we’ll get to see the veto competition.

So, tonight’s episode might actually be a good one.

As for what’s going on in the house — well, not much.  Helen seems to know that she’s going home but, to her credit, she hasn’t stopped campaigning to stay.  Unfortunately, it’s a bit too late for Helen to flip the house.  Her fate was sealed weeks ago when she refused to vote out Amanda.

At this point, Helen has been forced to going with the “good vs. evil argument.”  This is the argument where a houseguest says that she should be allowed to stay in the house because she (and, by extension, the people who support her) are “good” people and therefore, voting her out will allow the bad people to win.

As McCrae correctly put it after listening to Helen’s pitch, this argument is essentially “Nerdherd 2.0.”

So, for the most part, Helen and Elissa have spent the past few days talking about how they’re both good people and everyone else in the house is a bad person.  Helen has cried at least once a day.  To be honest, it would be difficult to watch if the tears were being shed by anyone but Helen.

Last night, there were two interesting conversations in the house.

Around 1:00 a.m., Helen and Elissa were talking about Amanda.  Helen said, “Maybe America was the MVP and they were trying to send us a message.”  Gee, Helen, you think?  Seriously, it’s not as if Helen didn’t have a hundred clues that Amanda would turn on her.

A little bit later, Amanda and McCrae had several conversations about who their next target is going to be.  As much as Amanda irrationally hates Elissa, it appears that Elissa might be safe next week.  Instead, Amanda and McCrae were saying that next week, Aaryn needed to go because Amanda no longer trusts Aaryn (and is jealous of the fact that Aaryn can actually win competitions and wear a thong without making everyone watching the live feeds physically ill).  So, McCrae and Amanda’s plan appears to be to nominate Aaryn and (yawn) Spencer next week.

Of course, Amanda is assuming that either she or McCrae will win HoH on Thursday and she doesn’t realize that an evicted Houseguest will be reentering the house.

Later on, Amanda and McCrae wandered into the HoH bedroom where they joined Aaryn in having a conversation where they speculated about what the viewers think about each of the houseguests.  Amanda said that the viewers at home probably hated her but loved McCrae.

Well, Amanda, I thought, you’re half right.

Stay supple,

Lisa Marie

Big Brother 15 — Sigh

by Lisa Marie Bowman on August 20, 2013

Hi y’all:

Well, I know that yesterday, we were all hoping — against hope — that Aaryn would do the unexpected and perhaps put Amanda up as a replacement nominee.

However, Spencer told Aaryn that he wouldn’t vote to evict Amanda if she was nominated.  Now, to a certain extent, I can understand Spencer’s logic.  Helen is the one who has been trying to get all of the guys out of the house and Spencer has to know that Helen would be more likely to target him than Amanda.

That said, I still think that Spencer’s idiot.

Seriously, when the HoH asks you if you’d be willing to vote someone out, you say, “Yes!”  Especially in Spencer’s case where, if Aaryn had nominated Amanda, it would have kept him from going on the block for the 6th week in a row.

Is Spencer really that stupid?  Or is Amanda just that intimidating that people are willing to run the risk of getting voted out rather than send her out the door?

Myself, if I was Aaryn, I would have promised to keep Spencer safe for a week if he agreed to vote for Amanda. I would have dragged Helen into the HoH room and I would have had her promise to keep Spencer safe for a week if he agreed to vote for Amanda.

There were a lot of things that Aaryn could have done to get the 3 votes necessary to get Amanda out of the house.

Instead, she just decided to do the expected.  At yesterday’s veto ceremony, Elissa took herself off the block and Aaryn nominated Spencer as a replacement.

And, it looks like Helen is going to go out the house on a 4-1 vote.

However, as soon as she steps out that front door, Helen is going to be competing with Judd, Candice, and Jessie for a chance to reenter the house.

If Helen does win the chance to come back in, I imagine that Aaryn is going to really regret not nominating Amanda.  With Amanda’s track record, you can be sure that she would probably be the least likely houseguest to win a chance to reenter the house.

Stay supple,

Lisa Marie

Hi, everyone!

Well, it’s Monday and you know what that means — it’s my busy day and it’s also the day when I usually post my shortest, most rushed update.

Usually that doesn’t matter because, with this current Big Brother cast, nothing interesting ever happens on Sunday or Monday.  (Or Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday…)

However, last night — things actually got a little bit interesting.  For a while, it looked like the entire game could be turned upside down.  Now, it looks like it probably won’t happen but there’s still a small chance that, at today’s veto ceremony, Aaryn might end up nominating Amanda.

I have to thank Kevin11 for posting most of the details under the previous post but here’s the long and the short of it:

Helen has figured out that she’s the target this week and she’s gone into full campaign mood.  Say what you will about Helen but at least she isn’t taking her eviction lying down.

Helen went to Aaryn last night and had a very long conversation with her.  Fortunately for her, Helen picked the perfect opportunity to talk to Aaryn.  As we all saw on last night’s episode, Amanda has been making jealous and snarky comments ever since Aaryn beat her to win Head of Household.  Meanwhile, Aaryn has allowed the fact that she’s won HoH four times totally go to her head.  (Seriously, Aaryn has spent the majority of her fourth HoH obsessing on the fact that Janelle holds the record for most competitions won with 9.  Aaryn wants that record!)  Aaryn is getting sick of being ordered around by someone who hasn’t won a single challenge.  As well, Aaryn was drunk last night which meant that she was even more vulnerable to Helen’s brand of ass-kissing than she usually is.

Essentially, Helen told Aaryn that she needed to nominate and backdoor Amanda and, for a while at least, it looked like Aaryn was seriously considering the idea.

During their conversation, Aaryn also told Helen the truth about Andy.  Needless to say, Helen was shocked to discover that Andy is not — and never has been — her biggest ally in the house.

Now, before anyone gets too excited, Aaryn later told Amanda the full details of her conversation with Helen.  I imagine that Aaryn will probably turn on Amanda (or Amanda will turn on Aaryn, depending on who has the power in the house) but it probably won’t happen this week.

In other words, it would be neat if Amanda went up on the block but I get the feeling that, when it comes time to announce her decision, Aaryn will still play it safe and go with Spencer.

We’ll find out later today!

Stay supple,

Lisa Marie
