Okay, it’s time for the finale of Big Brother 19! I will be writing and watching at the same time, so that I can post this as soon as the finale is over with. Please be aware that there will be typos! That’s just the way it goes sometimes. And, of course, if you haven’t seen the finale yet, this post counts as one big spoiler!
7:01 pm — We start off with a quick recap of how Paul, Christmas, and Josh came to be the final three. It’s fun to watch Matt, Jason, Raven, and Alex all getting voted out again. It’s less fun to see Kevin going. They’re tying to convince us that Josh might take a shot at Paul if he wins HoH but, from what I’ve heard, Josh has decided that it will be easier to beat Paul in the final two than Christmas.
7:05 pm — Now they’re showing as the first part of the HoH competition, the flatulent unicorn competition. We already know that Paul won this and I have to admit that I don’t really care to hear what any of these fakes have to say in the Diary Room.
7:16 — Part Two is a timed competition where they have to use crossbows and catapults to knock down cut-outs of the evicted houseguests. Again, we already know that Josh narrowly won this so it’s not really that interesting to watch.
7:23 — Maybe it’s because I already know who is going to win but it really seems like they’re dragging out the 2nd part of the HoH competition.
7:28 — Lol at Paul saying that he’s playing to ease his rich family’s financial burdens.
7:34 — Yay! It’s a jury segment, with Dr. Will talking to the jury. Will is one of the few former houseguests to have defended this season but, from what understand, Will hasn’t actually watched the show in 9 years. This jury gig is all about collection a paycheck.
7:36 — Okay, I am absolutely loving Mark taking on Matt and Raven. I wish Mark had managed to survive because I would have loved to see him call out Paul in the house.
7:37 — I can’t understand a damn word Raven’s saying.
7:39 — Yeah, the jury sounds bitter but I don’t ever trust these jury roundtables. They always try to make it sound like the jury is more uncertain than they are.
7:45 — I’m glad I had the closed captioning on during that jury sequence because, otherwise, I wouldn’t have the slightest idea what Raven just said.
7:50 — The power is up for grabs! The third part of the HoH comp is the usual Scales of Just Us competition. Paul and Josh have to answer 8 questions about their houseguests.
7:52 — The audience booed when Paul got the first question right. And then they cheered when Josh got the second one.
7:54 — JOSH JUST WON THE FINAL HOH!
8:02 — Josh is about to make his decision.
8:04 — JOSH! YOU MORON! Josh just evicted Christmas.
8:14 — The jury has come out. Cody’s not even pretending to care.
8:15 — Elena asks Paul if he was bully. Paul says that he doesn’t think that he was a bully.
8:16 — Matt asked Josh to name his biggest move. Josh is rambling about making alliances.
8:16 — Alex asks Paul why he went against Friendship. Paul says that a lot of people turned their back on him and betrayed him in the house.
8:17 — Cody asked Josh to prove that he played his own game. Josh says blah blah blah. Seriously, I can’t follow his stream of random words.
8:18 — Jason asks Paul why he unnecessarily lied to the jury. Paul says that he didn’t and that he didn’t always know what was going to happen in the house. The jury is smirking.
8:19 — Mark asked Josh if he feels bad about acting like a jerk. Josh says that he does.
8:20 — Josh asked a stupid question about Peppy and Crutches. Who cares?
8:25 — Here comes the final statements from Paul and Josh. Josh’s answers were incoherent but sincere. Paul was way too slick and seemed shocked when he was asked about bullying.
8:27 — Paul’s speech may have been good but he talked way too fast. However, that might not be a problem because Josh isn’t exactly the most articulate speaker either.
8:29 — Now we’re voting. I’m going to predict that Paul will win by one or two votes. We’ll see if I’m right in a few moments.
8:36 — Julie is talking to the HGs who didn’t make jury. Jessica just told everyone that they all got played by Paul.
8:42 — Julia now showing Josh’s goodbye messages, all which revealed Paul’s plans. Paul is furious. He’s trying to hide it but he’s not doing a good job of it.
8:50 — Time to count the votes!
Christmas — Paul
Kevin — Paul
Alex — Josh
Raven — Paul
Jason — Josh
Matt — Paul
Mark — Josh
Elena — Josh
Cody — JOSH!
JOSH WINS BY ONE VOTE!
Once again, Paul’s terrible jury management has done him in.
8:56 — Okay, time to reveal AFP:
The top three are: Kevin, Cody, and Jason.
The winner is: CODY!
And that’s it! Thank you everyone for reading and commenting this season! Let us know what you think about the end of Big Brother 19 in the comments below!
