What Will Saturday Strategies Bring to the Big Brother House?

The next time I hear about a “scientific study” I’m going to picture Rachel in a lab coat, feather boa, mini skirt, tube top and 5 inch pumps holding a test tube filled with purple hair dye…and Brendon sporting thick, black rimmed glasses delicately fondling a beaker filled with dry ice. After Big Brother, the only career move for them will be a new, cable version of Mystery Science Theater 3000. Someone needs to remind Rachel that she did not win the “reality” show “True Beauty” as the “face of Vegas.”

After the week that was the end of the hippie-tard wearing Kristen, if there’s any respect left for team Brenchel on this board, I don’t see it. Since Matt won HOH he had no problem with his nominations *****SPOILER ALERT*****, well not really, he nominated Rachel & Brendon. Rachel will continue to whine, have hissy fits and melt downs, while the ever so sensitive Brendon pets her “hair” promises that if he wins POV, he’ll take her off the block. Isn’t Rachel the one who said, “Bring it on!” to her fellow HGs? All Matt did was what she asked him to do, she should respect his game play. I know I do!!!

Are any of you screaming at the TV or feeds like I am? Begging these people to play the game and quit with the shomances and temporary cultivation of friendships? And, again, is is it me or do all these HGs hug out everything. “I just put you on the block…let’s hug it out.” “I just voted you out…come on…let’s hug!” I don’t get it.

Last night was the return of the Saboteur, which had the HGs running over each other when they heard the first sign of staticy goodness on their TV screen. This means Matt opened Pandora’s box and let Ragan loose in the house to, I dunno, squirt mustard on pillows? The HGs spent a lot of time discussing if Annie is back behind the scenes, if America voted, if someone in the house accepted an offer, if there was a new power attached…and Ragan played it off very well indeed.

After an evening of lock down, the back yard opened up to find something new for the HGs to play with: the ever popular Big Brother bowling alley. More tears for Rachel, more comfort from Brendon {gag} and lots of practice for everyone else.

Does it matter to you which one leaves? I think I can predict that most of you would love to see Rachel and her extensions walk out the door leaving a trail of sequins behind her. Or would Brendon be the better choice? You posters know this game, these players and what strategies work best {I especially liked the the idea from one of our more active participants of voting out Allison Grodner} So who will it be…who should it be and what if one of them wins POV? =^^=

Big Brother Britney Brings It On!

We can hope that today will hold cooler temperatures and calmer moods in the BB house after another Super Saturday Stress test! I think it must be very difficult for some of the HGs (you know who you are!) to be gracious whether you win or lose a competition. But when you’re on the block, your life in the house depends on winning! It didn’t happen for Brendon or Rachel, but… *****SPOILER ALERT***** that’s exactly what our little Britney did in the POV competition held Saturday afternoon. That girl is a powerhouse competitor!

Based on her personal conversations with Rachel, and after being offered thousands of dollars, baubles, beads, and nearly all of Rachel’s possessions and promises, Britney honestly told her that she will more than likely not use it on either her or Brendon. “Nothing personal,” of course, but it wouldn’t be good for her game. Of course. I can’t wait to see the POV competition and hear Britney’s speech as she takes off the medallion and places it, unused, back in the box with a slam – and watch how that stupid box never closes!

Unless Big Brother changes the game, one of them will leave Thursday, and it will probably be Rachel. While Brendon has already said he doesn’t want to stay in the house without her, chances are – and the continuing opportunity to win 500G, he will live to see another week in the BB house of fun!

The Brigade is still in tact, Kathy still has cigarettes, Ragan is hiding in plain sight as the new Saboteur, but a lot of BBAD and the feed conversations aren’t very appropriate for this blog. Let’s suffice it to say these folks get pretty raunchy in their conversations and private “activities” and their subsequent conversations about their “private activities!” It’s sort of like spying on a group of frat guys without the empty pizza boxes and beer cans.

So what will Sunday bring to the BB house? I don’t imagine there can be any deals left for our Showmance couple, Rachel especially. With her out of the house, do you think Brendon even has a game? I think they rode each others’ lab coat tails as far as they could. But here’s a thought! Maybe Ragan can give her a Saboteur Snuggy as a lovely parting gift! =^^=

There’s a Whole Lotta Campaigning Goin’ on in the Big Brother House!

…and most of it is coming from Kristen. Whether she’s promising to go after Brenchel if she wins HOH or promising to vote them out, she definitely wants to stay in the house! Hayden is doing his fair share, working Ragan for a vote since he already has the Brigade in his corner. We’re all pretty sure Kristen is going home, if for no other reason her relentless begging and poor mouthing has gotten really old! Come on, they all need the money, think they’re “strong” competitors and believe they “deserve” to be there.

And I must say, Ragan is a very likable HG and turning into a personal favorite of mine. Besides his compassionate nature and great sense of humor, he has already considered allowing Kristen to live in his apartment in L.A. if she’s evicted from BB since he knows she does not want to return to the East Coast. That’s a pretty generous offer to a virtual stranger. He says she can care for his dog since the rent is already paid, and it’ll give her a chance to look for work.

There’s a lot of “down time” in the BB house and the HGs take a lot of naps! There are several lapses in conversations and they’ve turned eating into a sport since none of them are on slop this week. They eat, they sleep, they play. Kinda reminds me of my cats!

And this falls under the “Is it me or…” file:

Is it me or do these people spend an inordinate amount of time under blankets? And am I the only who notices that every HG since Season One walks around with huge cups of beverages and big, Fred Flintstone ice cubes? And do you think maybe, just maybe, the sound guys could cut the mics when there’s major chewing and smacking going on?

On the other hand, I really like the familiarity of the Big Brother voice: “Britney! Stop That!” or “Hayden, please go to the Diary Room,” or my favorite, “Please stop singing!” Could you imagine being one of the guys on the other side of the wall? Or the guy who creates some of those amazing challenges. Sorry. I promised myself I wouldn’t say amazing anymore after watching all those Bachelorette episodes and the Jimmy Kimmel tally.

Since yesterday was pretty mellow with the only infighting being between Brendon and Rachel (no worries, just a little Pebbles & Bamm Bamm bickering) how about this: I think it would be fun to hear some of your observances of the Big Brother idiosyncrasies that either drive you nuts or those you really like. Whether it’s comparing this season to others, let’s hear what you think! =^^=

What we thought might happen – didn’t! More deal making created more deal breaking and ****SPOILER ALERT**** Britney didn’t use the POV after all, keeping the nominations the same. Hayden should be safe and Kristen should be sent packing. I say “should” because you never know with this group!

Hayden already knows he has the Brigade, so he’s pretty confident he’ll stick around. Kristen, on the other hand, doesn’t have much to go home to after she meets Julie. Whining to the other HGs that she’s broke, doesn’t have a job at the shoe store anymore, “whoa is me,” and all that. So late yesterday Hayden encouraged her to campaign for votes. They both held hands, gazed longingly into each others eyes, and lamented about how they “would have made a great couple,” and Hayden told her he’d see her at the wrap party, “Like, for sure.” Dude.

And then there’s Britney! She’s playing the whole house, charming them with her dimples and flashy smile! Using sentiment on Kathy to manipulate her into thinking her decision not to use the POV was based on being buds with her. Kathy says, “I’ll be here for you no matter what…{nominating you} it just won’t ever happen.” Of course the “what” could change by the time this blog is posted!

Follow the bouncing ball on this one: Hayden told Kristen that Rachel wants her out because she’s “hotter” than Rachel and Kristen thinks Rachel sees her as the biggest threat to her in the house. Britney told Rachel if she kept Hayden and Kristen, it could help them (Brenchel) take the target off their backs and for about 5 minutes the two showmance couples agreed to a Final 4 deal. Yet Rachel said she didn’t think about putting up Kathy to replace either Hayden or Kristen, but Lane instead, so apparently Rachel didn’t buy into anything or make any promises. Her reign of terror, oops, I mean power will be over soon enough.

In a very funny exchange, Britney and “Meow Meow” were plotting in the backyard yesterday thinking they can take on the “whole *bleeping* house,” as Enzo put it. He’s such a stereotype it’s almost sad! And in a general HG consensus, it’s believed that this will be Kathy’s last week in the BB house, but we’ll have to see about that.

Ragan and Matt fly safely under the radar, having short chats in the food storage room, and…this just in! Lane was mistaken for a bear as he foraged for food in the fridge!

Okay, you’re the experts around here, share your opinions on which HG is playing the best game so far and why. It’s still early, but any Final 2 favorites? Future predictions? And how do you feel about the return of the Saboteur? =^^=

An explosive week comes to a close after our Houseguests endure the waiting game for the POV competition yesterday. Bored and anxious, BB made them wait until after 2:30 p.m. to begin the comp that ended with *****SPOILER ALERT***** little Britney winning POV! If she knows what’s good for her, she won’t use it, but the second showmance couple that is Krisden or Hayten may have some convincing deals for her, and Kristen is already campaigning and making promises!

Britney’s sudden BFF status with Rachel gives Brendon the confidence that the nominations will be left the same, but anyone paying attention this season knows how well Britney plays Rachel. Haven’t they learned from prior seasons to “trust no one!?” Apparently not when Rachel told Britney she wants to take her to “final 3.”

Making a comeback in a repeat performance please welcome {drum roll please!}….the unitard! This time worn by Kristen in a festive, colorful tie-dye ensemble complete with Orphan Annie wig and groovy red headband! It gets better…she has two of them so she’ll never be a unitard have-not while it’s in the laundry!

The POV competition put Hayden in solitary confinement for 24 hours so he and Kristen can play finger puppets under his door, Enzo was talking about winning a TV, and Rachel won $5,000.00! I’m sure Rachel is happy about the cash, but remember her telling Monet that winning the 10 grand put a target on her back? She may be HOH this week, but it seems all the HG’s are gunning for team Brenchel, and you know what they say about pay back!

Matt’s birthday celebration was toasted by all the HGs except Hayden, and Britney morphed into Betty Crocker by baking not one, but two birthday cakes. The HG’s were fascinated by the word “libations” when alcohol was provided to wash it all down. Meanwhile a lock-down nearly put Kathy into a ciggie fit until she could light up in the backyard. And we learned that Ragan loves the Speakeasy era of the 20’s! Who knew?

For me, the most annoying conversations last night were the HGs already deciding what to sell on eBay once the season has ended. They’re all assuming they could fetch the big bucks for their shorts and signed t-shirts. Kinda early in the season, if you ask me, when so far I don’t see any one of them as a “much loved” HG that could pull in the kind of bank Evel Dick did for his swag.

So what will Britney do? As of the wee hours this morning, it seems she doesn’t plan to use the POV, but deals get struck and new alliances and BFFs form in seconds in the BB house, so let the speculation begin! =^^=
