Houseguests Play Nice? How Will Thursday’s Eviction Vote Go Down?

What a difference a day makes.

On Monday night, the house was nuts — Nick and Dick bashing and yelling at Jen, tea poured on Jen’s head. I really thought Big Brother was going to have to evict somebody on the spot. Seriously.

If you don’t watch the feeds, you might not know that Big Brother is constantly hounding the houseguests about something or other. Jen, please put on your microphone … Dustin, please quit singing … Jessica, please do not obstruct your microphone … or just a plain-ol’ I said KNOCK IT OFF!.

The tea-over-Jen’s-head episode, I bet, drew a rebuke from the show’s producers at some point, particularly considering Dick once said he would “step on Jen’s neck.” Perhaps that’s why the house was much more subdued and friendly on Tuesday night.

The houseguests — three of whom have mohawks now (Nick, Dustin sort of and Eric) — all played a game of house key match-up. Eric hid houseguests keys in each of the slots along the video wall and the houseguests had to guess whose key was in each.

It wasn’t exciting, but it was civil.

Evel Dick won, and the entire episode foretells the calm before the proverbial storm. I mean we’re only two days away from the eviction of Nick or Kail, and while I was convinced Nick was a goner on Sunday, I’m not so sure now.

Enough has happened in the house this week that perhaps the houseguests will at least be willing to deliberate. Sure, I stick by my contention that Dick and Nick way overstepped their bounds in their treatment of Jen, but in this game, folks will snap from time to time as this is an emotional game.

Regardless of who goes on Thursday, look for Jameka and Dustin to move into range for the next HoH. Jameka really put off a lot of the other houseguests by playing the PoV competition FOR Jen, and Dustin definitely didn’t win friends by taking the Trip for 2 to Barbados and the $5,000.

But that’s for a discussion at another time. Two days to go, and either Nick or Kail is headed home. My money is still on Nick, but by the end of tomorrow’s live-feed watching, I might be withholding any more bets. As of Tuesday night, here’s my hunch as to how the voting will go down.

To evict Kail: Dick, Daniele, Zach, Eric

To evict Nick: Jameka, Jessica, Amber, Jen

This presupposes America tells Eric to vote to evict Kail, and this would lead to the first instance this season in which the HoH would have to use a tiebreaker. My reasoning is this: Daniele ain’t voting out Nick. Dick has been an ally of Nick’s so far this week as all the craziness went down, and he hates Kail. Even though Nick has been mean to Zach, Zach went after Kail last week. Eric has no choice.

Jameka, Jessica and Amber have all talked about eliminating Nick, and Jen — while she said she hated that Dustin replaced her nomination with Nick — has been pretty close to Kail.

It could go either way. Tonight it was pretty, but starting tomorrow, it gets UGLY. You know, in some ways, this is turning out to be one of the more volatile Big Brothers in history, and we’re only in the fifth week.
