Well, I for one was very excited that Evel Dick was back on Big Brother. I might not always like what he says or does, but the entertainment value was there either way. Waking up on Friday morning to find he wasn’t there was a bummer. Jeff and Jordan are eye candy and all, but they can be very, very boring BB houseguests.
As I’m sure you all did, I went searching for information on what happened to ED. Here are his latest tweets:

Well, if no one is sick and he wasn’t kicked out, then I guess he voluntarily left the house. Perhaps he had a difference of opinion with production? Another thought I had was that maybe he has a work contract that he needed to honor. I have no idea, but I guess it doesn’t really matter because there will be no Evel Dick in Big Brother this season
I fast forward through BBAD and I do keep up by reading all of your comments and tweets. As far as I can tell, nothing too exciting is going on in the house so far. I guess for production reasons, the HG’s haven’t been going outside which I notice is annoying all of you out there who are just in this for the bathing suits!
I haven’t spoken to BBBlogger about whether I can talk about what is going on in the house prior to CBS showing it on TV, so I’ll stay away from nominated houseguests, POV, etc. for now. I do see that you all have been covering it in your comments.
None of the new houseguests have won me over so far. I have to admit, Cassi is beautiful. My first thought about her when I watched the premier was that she couldn’t care less about the show, which would mean she’s there to get publicity. Adam seems to be trying too hard. He wants to portray this ED-type image and make it into the BB Hall of Fame, but I’m not sure he has what it takes. I was disappointed with Dominic and Kevin in the HOH competition. I was thinking two young, healthy guys should be hard to compete with in comps, but nope! Not sure what to think about Kalia and Shelly yet. Porsche like annoyed me like from the very like first minute like she spoke! Lawson seems fun, but I don’t think he’ll be able to compete and win too many competitions.
Then we have our returning contestants. They are formidable and if I were a new HG, I’d be shaking in my boots. They win competitions–A LOT. If they continue to stick together, there isn’t a chance that the newbies can oust them. If the new HG’s can get Dani in their corner, they may have a shot.

Hi Bloggergal!! LONG time no see!!! 🙂 Well, looks like the gang is all back HERE…..but not all may stay around long this season. The newbies are just BLEH , so it’s just a matter of time before the oldPro’s pick them all off one by one. What a weird group they picked this season. I know we have all complained before about the new HGs, but these all seem so timid and boring. No one seems really motivated or dramatic!! No pets this year either!! And then the coup de gras, ED, ups and walks out in what…about 3 hours?? I think he decided he couldn’t take it this time, once he got into the house. If he and Dani really are fighting, that plus the pressure to live up to his winning season and just being in a house full of *kids* again at his age, maybe it just all got to him. Like kid of closterphobic! He looked ruff too. Scragglier than usual and comps would have been harder cuz he sure had packed on the pounds!! I really think he just decided it wasn’t worth it as he prolly wouldn’t win again, so why go thru the deprivation and tarnish his rep??? IMHO.
Not much going on in the house. Porshe just trying to throw eveeryone under the bus to get off teh chopping block and budding up to Rachel…..who is pretending to agree but knows she is trouble!!!

KeriJ, that thought crossed my mind too! It is an interesting theory. In BB8, ED did everything to protect Daniele in the game… even giving her his veto when they were on the block together… knowing very well that he would be evicted against anyone named as replacement. He had no idea that with a little help from Dustin’s arrogance… and America’s player.. that he would survive the vote.
That strategy wouldn’t work this time… so what to do? How about leaving the show? Then Daniele gets a free pass for 4 weeks and is viewed with sympathy by other HGs. That should get her far into the game before she is on anybody’s radar.
If Dick had stayed in the game, they would have been target #1 most likely (maybe Brenchel).
I doubt that is what happened… but it is an intriguing thought. Leaving for “personal reasons” could mean just about anything.

I hadn’t payed much attention to BBAD last night… or the feeds today. So I thought I’d check some flashbacks and see if I missed anything. Didn’t miss much really.
The fish tank is on the screen now.. and has been for a while. The HGs had to go into the backyard for something.
I saw on flashback that Keith was pleading his case to Brendon. He was trying to get the veto used on himself and Porsche… and get Lawon & Kalia named as replacements. He said that Lawon is sneaky and can’t be trusted. Don’t think Brendon was buying it though.
So, it seems that if one of the nominated duo wins pov… then they both get to come off the block and another duo is put up. Yet they are still evicted as individuals. They competed as couples. It was still 6 players.. but all duos (as mentioned before, the veto competitors were K&P, J&J, and R&B)…. and R&B won the veto like Star said.
From the conversation…. the veto comp was the one where one partner is on a rope/harness… and the other has to run back and forth lowering them and raising them to get puzzle pieces to put on a board… I guess that’s where the Superman costumes came in! 😆 I know they have done a similar comp before… probably in season 9 when they competed as couples.

Interesting theories by jolee, Keri and MrBB himself… but ndzone is exactly right. ED knows he can make a boat load of money on his tweets alone, since everyone is now following him to find out what gives. Not to mention his website for the ‘announcement’. Celebs get paid for tweets, and why put up with the BS of the house and playing the ‘game’. I would say he used CBS and everyone else and did exactly what he planned to do.

i just heard thru the grape vine, ed left due to his galpal problems, if true this is a bit lame to me. what makes more sense he left so dani could get the golden key and “float” for 4 weeks and he got lots and lots of publicity. oh well i for one was happy to see him loved how he had a knack to stir the pot, in regard to bbad yawn fest zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz all i could take both nites was amost not quite 2 hours they all talk at once i would not mind if any of it made any sense but stupid stupid questions sounded like kids at summer camp, oh well whine and complain will i be there to watch every show u bet your donkey i will. hopefully it will pick up a bit, hope everyone is having a great saturday. ciao fof now

Okay… the FIVE had enlisted Cassie to join them and spy on the newbies… now they have enlisted Shelly to spy on Cassie to make sure she is straight with them and not repeating anything to the new house guests. Hey Ted, I caught some of that too. At least it’s interesting. The 5 past HGs were pretty much in an alliance by default from day 1 (along with Dick). They needed to bring someone to their side.. and they trust Shelly the most.. and therefore have to bring her partner, Cassi, along too.
It’s funny, Shelly was so starstruck when JJ walked in the first day.. and now she gets to play on their team! Dream come true for her. Shelly said “it would be an honor” to team with the past HGs.
Not so sure where Cassi stands though. She seemed to be down with teaming up… but then she will say the opposite to Dominic and the rest. Hard to say where she stands. But she sure is pretty. 😀 😆
I almost hate to say this, but Rachel isn’t bothering me this year…. YET. I know it’s early, but her teaming up with JJ & Daniele makes her somewhat easier to take. Maybe they (R&B) wont be as whiny this year because they have people to work with. Last year they had each other.. and that’s all. Brendon will still be an oaf.. that’s a given. I even heard him mention “fair competitions” again this year 🙄
It is very odd for me to watch some of my all time faves… team up with some of those I disliked the most in BB history.

I think, the fact that Rachel is not acting slutty is a help. They really are a good team when you get right down to it.

I don’t think they should have brought back any of the old couples. It’s a little unfair to have people in the house that know the game like they do. They know production, they have the upper hand. Why didn’t they just let them all play together and forget about bringing newbies in. This is stupid. I thought about not watching at all. If Rachel last much longer, I won’t watch anymore. She is the most annoying attention ho I’ve ever seen. She looks for the camera every chance she gets and wants to be front and center. I can’t stand people like that. That laugh is enough to make me want to scream…OVI , give me a break. With all that said..the newbies need to concentrate on getting the couples out. .but I don’t think they have enough sense to do that, so I guess we will just watch a season of OVI! OMG!

Right now on the live feeds, Dom, Lawon and Cassie are up and small talk. Cassie went to the bathroom and Lawon brushed his teeth. Cassie just came out and didn’t wash her hands. She was called out on it by Dom and then by Lawon. She says she does in public places but not her home. They told her this isn’t her home. She says, “think about it, what am I going to be putting in my mouth?” The guys were totally disgusted and told her not to touch them. Then she went on to touch her bare foot that she just left the bathroom and who knows what’s spilled or sprayed onto that floor. Can we all say ‘GROSS’? Now they all just got into their beds to get some sleep. No other movement in the house….all is quiet. NOTE~ I hope Cassie washes her hands before she touches any food when she wakes up. Can you tell this totally disgusts me?

@jolee. It is spelled loser not looser, he won a season of big brother I wouldn’t exactly call him a loser. I for one, liked ED he was me and my mother’s favorite. Most of the things he said were just for the game, and I thought he was pretty entertaining. It’s a shame he left, he was the most exuberant one on there. The original eight are so dull, I don’t know how much of this season I’m going to be able to watch, especially with Rachel coming back this season and winning first HOH. Her laugh is like nails on a chalk board.

Jane, I didn’t watch much BBAD. I tuned out as soon as I saw Neander-TAL/ Doof/ Oaf/ Tool/ Putz running around with his Superman costume on again….. with the goofy look on his face (yeah, that one!) I did record, so maybe I’ll have to watch.
Cassi is pretty.. but the girl needs to have a sandwich and get a little sun!
Daniele seems to have the most common sense among the past HGs when it comes to talking strategy (along with Jeff). R&B have to be talked down from using some of their antics from last year.. and Daniele points out to them that the whole house will hate them if they brag and sit in HOH like royalty. Daniele seems to be having fun this year. For me, she is funny, fun, and likable this time around. That could change.. but so far, so good. I really didn’t think she would want to go on BB again.
Dominic.. the kid has his funny moments, but he is such a little pest sometimes! He reminds me of a mosquito buzzing around your head.. S W A T!! He is way over the top with the germaphobia. (and I’m not talking about Porsche not washing her hands.. that’s a given). I suspect his fear of germs is half the reason he is a virgin. I don’t dislike him (yet), but some of his snippy comments I don’t care for. Be snippy if you want.. but then also be funny! I guess strike one with him (for me) was on the premiere when he said, (paraphrasing) “..then this little hoochie mama walks in behind him, and BOMBSHELL!!… it turns out to be his daughter!”
Bombshell??? WTF?? To whom in the BB universe was it a “bombshell” that Daniele is Dick’s daughter? 🙄 (Yes, I like HGs better that have at least heard of the show!) 😆

watched bbad last nite , not as boring as has been (but to be fair was only a few nites), i think the “seasoned” houseguests maybe have learned from their past mistakes (hopefully), and i know the newbies look up to them for their knowledge of the bb game, but will it be wise to follow them? hopefully the newbies will realize they r being used as pawns and then will be tossed out when their use is done with, hopefully they will nod and agree but have a mind of their own and do what is best for them, well, we will see what we will see.

I have a feeling this is going to really pick up after the first hg leaves. Yes Ted, R&B won the POV comp as a pair. Best I can tell.. they had on Superman costumes. Rachel was in a harness on a rope. Brendon had that rope attached to him and had to run back and forth to raise and lower Rachel. Rachel had to get puzzle pieces and put them on a board.
We should see that comp tonight… and I guess they won by a big margin.
