Big Brother…An Then There Were Three

Thanks to everyone for the concern for me! You all are the best! Just to quickly update you. My son stayed in the dark until the power came back on sometime during the night. He hasn’t looked in the refrigerator yet to see if the food is spoiled or not. He had work early today. I plan on helping him get an emergency kit together this weekend. He moved right around the time my husband lost his job and I never thought about it. My other concern is family and friends who are (very) flooded in Northeastern PA. The river has crested, but it went up amazingly high. I talked to some of my immediate family and everyone is good with no flooding. I’m not sure how many relatives and friends have water in their homes and businesses. So that’s it from me. Below you will find Snakebit Sal’s (aka luv2shootpics) summary of last night’s show and also SPOILERS for what happened after the show. DON’T READ IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW WHO WON HOH LAST NIGHT!

It’s down to three people and one week to go!
After last night’s eviction, tonight’s POV completion is for an F3 slot and the power to remove the next jury member.
Adam seems to making his move late in the game and will be a F3 competitor. Adam gets his HOH key and they all go to check it out. I never saw so much bacon in my life. Gummy bacon and bacon stuffed toys. The dude is a real bacon freak.
Porsche made the first plea for help from Adam to remain in the game. She made a move to go to F2 and be an all newbie game. Rachel made her plea and then Jordan confronted Adam and in his non-committal way left Jordan hanging as to who he will nominate. She already has a feeling she will be going to be the next evictee.
Adam nominates Jordan and Porsche with Jordan as the supposed pawn. Adam said to the two nominees that they need to earn the veto if they want to remain in the game! All the DR conversations with the girls are basically the same, “I need to win to make F3”. Not only does it give that person an F3 spot but they get to decide who gets the third spot with the veto winner and Adam.
The veto competition is “The Jukebox Veto”. They must match events with evicted players. They all get off to a slow start but Porsche is stacking her blocks on the ground before she puts them up on the pole. Jordan is confused and slowing down. Porsche puts hers on the block and makes a mistake. She didn’t know how many were wrong and reworks her stack and wins the POV. Rachel cries because she lost and Jordan says “Oh well”. Rachel really has a breakdown believing she will be evicted. Jordan again comforts her.
Rachel talks to Porsche and makes her argument for staying. Porsche makes the comment about who to keep…Jordan, who she can beat in F3 comps or Rachel, who can compete and may not take her to the F2.
Porsche uses the veto to save herself and Rachel must go up. The mandatory speeches are made and then Porsche chooses Jordan for eviction. The wrong move in my opinion!
Jordan is so easy going and calm about the whole eviction. Jordan praised Rachel’s game and admitted that she helped to keep her in the game. She said they balanced each other out and maintained some sanity from Rachel. The goodbye messages from Adam and Rachel were heartfelt and nice to Jordan. Rachel said that she hopes they remain lifelong friends.
The Final HOH competition part 1 began in the Big Brother Mixer. They had to stand on a small pad and hang on to what were the mixer blades. They lowered them into the butter mix and sprayed them with icing. Adam started complaining of pain early and it spelled doom for his chances. He lasted about 25 minutes when the feeds cut out. When they returned about five minutes later he had dropped out. The girls still looked casual and in control. Again the feeds cut out, sheesh. Another five minutes later the feeds are back and Porsche is now struggling. The strain and pain are in her face. Porsche starts trying to communicate with Adam about the game if she drops. Porsche is worried about drowning and asks Adam to be sure he helps her when she drops. She is afraid to let go and fall into the butter batter. The feeds again cut-away. Porsche and Rachel have been up for almost 50 minutes. The feeds come back and it is evident that Porsche dropped and Rachel has won part 1 of the Final HOH competition.
Adam is complaining that his legs are killing him. The girls are sore but not complaining as much. They are looking for cold packs for their muscles.
Now we must wait for the next competition which will be between Adam and Porsche for the rite to compete against Rachel for the Final HOH!

Yes, Sal, me too, I love football. Have been a fan all my life. I don’t remember scores & stats but I know the game and love to watch. College too. I’m a USC fan for college and my hubby went to Texas A&M and he’s an Aggies fan so we watch a lot of games. Thanks for keep us informed on BB!!! Appreciate it a lot!

Rachel should be able to dictate the rest of this game. I’m sure she’ll beat whomever wins part 2 of the comp and take Adam with her to F2 unless she pulls a Porsche move .

After losing the veto comp rach had a minor break down, crying and sobbing. Jordan took her into the room and tried to calm her down.
The question Jordan asked Rach had me rofl and that was
“You really do not like to lose do you?”
When I heard that and after I was able to control my lol I said to my self you have to give it to Jordan she is something else.
I am eagerly waiting for round 2 of the HOH.
Will do flyby later for updates.
Sal, u did an excellent job reporting the latest events from the BB house. BBgal so happy to hear all is well again with you and the family.

☆f… I am sorry you had to be confused by luv2shoot & PK’s pathetic attempts to explain how to do italics. PK, I can understand… but Sal taught me years ago, and apparently has lost his touch. I have now picked myself up off the floor from a pool of laughter and will send you proper instructions. BTW… my daughters are 41 & 38, both loves. We very rarely feel any earthquakes here. The islands are solid rock with no faults. In 15 years I have only felt 1 little jolt. Vancouver Island is 20 miles away. Was it on the island or the city of Vancouver on the mainland?

Watching Nadal dismantle Roddick at the moment. Good football game last night… Always okay to talk football on any blog… and I always root for the Steelers, unless they are playing the Raiders or Bears.

Pat… please join us on Survivor Blog… luv2shoot worked hard there for years running the show, that’s why some call him Sal if you were wondering who the hell Sal was. You will be there, right Snakebitluv2shootpicSal?

MM… Jordan once again showed why she is so lovely with that remark to Rachel. Funniest thing I have heard of BB all year. I replayed it a bunch of times. She is so serious and honest, that you can’t say she said it with a deadpan face, because she was not trying to be funny. She is like a little kid saying things that are quite profound and end up being funny. Although I voted for Daniele, I would love for Jordan to get the 25k.

Bejesus Ted Raffa is dismantling Andy isn’t he i was praying it was going to be a long match so Nadal’s knackered to play Murry tomorrow i’ve been watching it between watching our BB launch & waiting to see what Pamela Anderson is going to be doing in the house but they haven’t revealed it as yet only saw her meeting hg’s at the end of the show so i suppose they will string it out as per usual.
Now to BB USA couldn’t believe how stupid it was of Porsche to keep Rachel in the game she must have known she couldn’t beat her at endurance, but she may take her to the final 2 you never know xx

I haven’t been on this site since Gnat was in the house and nobody liked her. She was that season’s Shelly 🙂 Anyway, I am so happy for Rachel because she has gained a lot of new fans since Brendon left. I hope she wins, the girl has true grit and is not really a mean person (unlike Kalia, Dani & Shelly)–just a little in your face at times. She and Jordan made a really good team, balanced each other right, but Jordan was right she didn’t really deserve to be there as you need more than social game to stay in the house. I think she said something to Porsche that helped Rachel stay because it really didn’t make sense to me that Porsche kept Rachel over Jordan. If Rachel makes final 2 and doesn’t win it will be because someone in the house voted personal instead of game. Dani, Shelly & Kalia can’t stand Rachel, but Kalia said that she would vote for Rachel over Adam (we’ll see, she might be mad Rachel evicted her, she felt so entitled to stay and I don’t see how Adam kept his cool the way she browbeat him to extreme). And Dani said she would vote game over personal, but I don’t think she will vote for Rachel unless Adam is in the final two. I think Rachel has a good chance of winning against Adam, against Porsche not as much. But then again Adam might wind up being the deciding vote. Crossing my fingers for Rachel. Jordan should get America’s favorite, none of the newbies have great personalities and I don’t think Jeff deserves it this time. I know Dani has a lot of fans but I LITERALLY can’t stand her, SHOCKER. Sorry if you are a fan AWKWARD!

Hey Ted, I just heard an excerpt on the news that there was an earthquake felt on Van Island, and part of Vancouver. I work in New West, in a very solid building so I didn’t feel a thing.

Did you feel it out your way?

Gonna catch the news when it comes on, just watching the Young and the Useless now. Will catch up on the reading in about an hour.

Regarding the electrical grid problem of last night (I actually read all the blog posts 🙂 ) …. I think it was about summer 2004 and a similar thing happened to a number of Niagara region states and provinces. I especially remember it because it happened just as my daughter and her family were on their way out to visit me and I was wondering if they would show up. Fortunately they got on the flight JUST BEFORE the whole grid system fell apart, so her and family got here safe and sound.

bbl … btw … absolutely LOVING this spectacular weather, but it is too damn hot to lay out on the hammock on my balcony lol 🙂

Bloggergal … I haven’t caught up with the reading yet, but I do have experience with hanging around a ‘crowd’ on the net and us having to find one new home after another. losing more people on the way.

This is the first year that I actually had any response from my posts, I have posted in previous years … but I am loving it and the ‘crowd’ 🙂

But you shouldn’t bear the brunt of the costs … regulars should be able to chip in a few bucks via paypal (another company I used to work for 😉 )

@ BC youre lucky you can sunbathe at all you want to be in England the weather here is awful i can’t remember the last time we had a decent summer all we get is bloody rain all the time, i’m so envious of you all over the pond i was watching the tennis earlier & it looked scorching , mind 1 good thing we never get earth quakes or hurricans so we can’t have it all can we xx

@Starfish … you can learn HTML. I had the very good fortune of meeting a bunch of canuckleheads online shortly after the Swissair disaster … I was devastated by that tragedy and I needed to ‘talk’ about it … I found a group and they were the leading light in my life for over 10 years, many of whom I still keep in contact with today.

I was a runaway, I had rudimentary education … some basic computer skills … but with the help they gave me and the links they provided, I learned to teach myself HTML get a job and have never looked back.

@northern, my ma was from Leeds … never been there myself.

It is unusual for Vancouver to have a long stretch of such good weather going from August to September and still more days ahead.

In the 16 years I have been here, I don’t think I have ever ‘baked’ day after day after day in September … and I would remember me being a September baby and all, but I ain’t harsin’ it LOL

You got your Olympics coming up next year, I did security for the Olympics 2010 … want for I should come out there and slap the weather into shape while frisking the avalanche of a crowd that will happen? 😉

BCM, thanks for the link, it’s perfect! Wow security for the Olympics. You must be in shape as well as slapping the weather into shape. Gotta be tough for that job as well as all seeing.

I watched last night’s episode this afternoon and did anyone notice Jordan’s eyes in the DR visit before the Veto comp? I noticed she kept looking to her right like she was reading and she didn’t do that in any of the other DR visits they showed. It just looked weird to me.

Still shaking my head about Porsche’s dummie move.

Thanks bloggergal, I have bookmarked the site, looking forward to staying in touch with youse all during Survivor.

We are getting crazy busy at work and will be until after New Year, but it is nice to sit and watch a show then chat and analyze it to death afterwards lol

I had been thinking about a lot of comments BB ‘regulars’ had made in several previous posts. I am amazed that so many can remember so many ‘minute’ details. I have been watching BB since Day One and I can’t remember all the details you guys yap about. But I am one of those people that watch something once… if I watch it a second time … it has to be a show I really really like. I am into crime psycho dramas. Shows like Criminal Minds or even CSI I can blow off, watch when I catch it, I ain’t going to schedule my life around it …. because it is so damn scripted to give the actors their contractual face time … it is a turn off to the drama of the story.

Whereas with shows like Crackers, or Prime Suspect, and many other over the pond dramas, I can watch them over and over again … when they present themselves to me … and feel like I am watching the show in a whole new light.

Basically what I am saying is that I rarely look back or watch again many things I have already seen. These eyes are always looking for new drama 🙂

@starfish … working at the Olympics was a pivotal point of my life. I had recently become unemployed because your Feds were coming down hard on online gambling and at least 80% of the customers of FTP were Americans. FTP had to pull its customer support out of Vancouver and put it in Ireland, where they had already established a satellite office in readiness for the downfall, plus in the meantime they had started branching out into other online ventures. Anyway, here I was September 2009 unemployed and didn’t know what the h*ll I was going to do. No one is a better expert than me at making job hunting a full time job lol. Allllll along there were ads all over the place to work for the Olympics. I resisted I resisted I resisted. Finally a week before Christmas I threw in the towel and applied. Got hired on the spot, had to start training the Monday after New Years.

The interesting part of it was that during the training process they were recruiting begging for people to go up to Whistler. There was a stampede of applicants. I didn’t bother … I live in a part of Vancouver that there were going to be over 10 venues for me to be assigned to, places that I could easily walk or bus to. So Whistler was the last place on my mind.

Then I get a phone call one day. Marie … can we station you up in Whistler? You will have accommodations, meals and transportation all paid for.

I am single. What have I got to lose? So I agreed to it, and I lived in a secure compound for almost three months while we did the prep and post security operations. I was there for the Paralympics as well, that i why I was there for so long.

Meanwhile they would have buses several times a day going back and forth from Vancouver, so if you got a day or two off, hop on the bus, go home, restore the brain space, and back on the bus to the compound again.

For the Olympics itself I was stationed at the sliding centre. That is the place where the Russian died 🙁 I wasn’t scheduled on duty that night, that was the FIRST DAY of the whole Olympic event and a tragedy like that happened.

We didn’t know for a couple of days whether we were going to be able to stay on. The Olympic Committee had to review the slide, etc .. you know what I mean, everything had to be investigated. But they decided to go ahead.

As far as fit and in shape? Are you kidding me? All I was was a baggage rummager and a magnetic wander. Just like they do at the airports. No special skills or shape required 🙂

bobo they have u coming and going, i buy a new puter and not even a year later there is a bigger, faster better one on the mkt, we can’t win
in re to bbad last nite they had fancy dinner for f3 then they decided or prod decided to amuse us so they gave us tour of the bbhouse and several tours of the memory wall, was a bit more entertaiing then just watching them eat or play cards. i have to say porsche looked very nice last nite she did not appear heavy at all, must be the velour sets she wore, rach looked great too, nice simple black dress i was impressed, adam well adam is adam lol i think even with a fashion guru he would not look dressed up, some guys r just that way. hoping to hear more about the 2nd part of the hoh any news yet?
In re to Anne, we have rehased the latest bb news to death, i have an excellent idea how about joing the chat with some thing to discuss re bb we will be more then happy to discuss with you, and if i recall i did not see any disclamier that we HAD to discuss only bb.

2. Full body electrolysis followed by Brazilian Wax if additional removal is necessary.
3. Shit eating grin removal patch to supplement the nicotine patch.
4. A high definition CDR or tape recorder so he could record and then replay his heavy metal scream so he would know how obnoxious it really is.
5. A lifetime supply of room air freshener.

The HGs are making some dinner and both Porsche and Adam were nursing their wounds when they 1st came in……with ice poacks and bandaids, mostly on hands and fingers. It had something to do with being in water, Not sure what yet. And Adam is really depressed. R said she is not used to seeing him like that. But i am pretty sure he will be in F2 either way so he shouldn’t be!!!

@PK, for what it’s worth, I thought the sh*t eating grin fit Adam perfectly. It’s actually a bit smarmy IMHO. Jordan had his number when she was talking to him in HOH and all he did was give her that ridiculous grin of his making himself try to look superior when he only gave away his betraying self. She knew.

Star, you always come through for us even if you are full of wine. 😆 The link from BCM is perfect and very helpful for HTML. Oh and when you go back and read the last blog about HTML, tell me if you were on the floor laughing until you cried. I sure did and I read it twice and laughed just as hard the second time. 😆

Wow… first it’s electrical disturbance reports and now the weather!!!

But back to Big Brother Blog… Shit Eating Grin describes Adam perfectly. That’s the look he gets anytime anyone is asking him for any kind of response… and yes, a look of fear mingled with utter loss as to what to say. And people… PLEASE don’t criticize PK… he is very sensitive (I think that is spelt with a V) about certain things. Sidebar: I may have to buy northern_lass some glasses.

And as far as Adam goes… It cracked me up when all the girls were talking about Brendon’s pic with hair and he said “why are they looking at him when they have a man in the house right here”.

Glad Porsche won… did we really expect otherwise??? I hope she beats Rachel in the final comp.

Ted… I really want Porsche to win. By my less than scientific calculations, Porsche vs Rachel in F2 will come down to Adam breaking the tie. If Porsche wins the final HOH, she will probably get Adam’s vote, if not, she still may but she will be leaving with a minimum of $5o K worse case scenario.

Rebecca made my favorite center cut pork chops smothered in tomato and Vidalia onion sauce over extra wide egg noodles for lunch/dinner today since I have been tending to the yard most of the day…

Well Ted, have we made a football fan of you or are you watching scores for us? I don’t know what happened to the Steelers but they tanked big time! Sal, what happened???? Damn! I was shocked! They never got in the game and the defense just plain stunk!! Ugh!

I like the Bears occasionally only because Mike Ditka came from my home town, Aliquippa, PA. Since the steel mills left, it’s not much of a town anymore but I still have relatives there and last I heard Mike’s mom still lives there. She wouldn’t move.

Anyone know when the 3rd part of the HOH comp will be? I hope R & P are the F2. Adam doesn’t deserve anything and hopefully will get nothing.

MM, we should never forget 9/11 that’s for sure!! I cry everytime I hear taps for many reasons. At the SD Charger/Viking game, they not only played taps but also had the American Bald Eagle fly during the Star Spangled Banner. A very emotional moment for me but loved it.

God Bless all those families who lost a loved one 10 years ago today! Thanks northernlass for your #76 too. Very nice of you.

The 49er/Seahawk game had a nice tribute… lots of interesting ones going on. The US Open was nice, although Serena is losing at the moment… which should make northern_lass happy, with the woman downunder on top… she is pretty cute, so I may have to start rooting for her from now on. Should be a big 9/11 tribute at the Jets game tonight.

@My dearest Ted yes i have been glued to the open & i thought Serena would wipe Sam off the court as she is a fantastic player & i think will definatly go down as 1 of the greatest players of the game but unfortunatly i also think she is a poor loser the umpire was right in penalising her as it clealy states in the rule she impeded the opponent by shouting out before the point was over & i don’t think we have heard the last of this insident as she could be in trouble with the games governing body. In saying that yes i was glad Sam won as she is 1 of the nicest girls on the tour.
Now to BB when is the 3rd part of the hoh to be played is it today or Monday?

Ted, my heart is always with the Steelers but otherwise, I’m an equal opportunity fan. It depends on where in the season we are and who’s playing whom but I do like SD but more so the Raiders. But my bad boys haven’t played well for forever. Someone needs to tie Al Davis up in a room during football season. It’s also hard to keep up with the quarterbacks that we loved from USC now playing in the NFL, we can’t cheer for every team but we try. Jets did pull it out tho. 🙂

Sal, yea, so so sad. I couldn’t believe they had those turnovers in the red zone. God, I almost came out of my seat yelling at the TV. My cousin in PA is probably beating her head against the wall or drowning her sorrows in some alcoholic beverage. 😆

Bobo, I knew some Vietnam Vets and you guys had it bad. We don’t always respond to all posts but reading what you have to say is fun even if we don’t respond. If we’re on at the same time, then we can have a chat fest and that’s fun. I’m not on often enough or at least during the same times others are on so chatting is not something I plan on. So how long have the vets been on this site?? Im definetly a newbie and now understand why you guys talk about personal stuff instead of just bb13….just to add a bit of that personal talk. I’m from Canada, and although we werent directly hit by 911, it broke our hearts, and we will never forget all the innocent souls that died that day, and that are dying to this day … I cant believe its been 10 years…ive never been to ny..but will definetly go one day and pay tribute <3

Now time for some game talk..since the beginning of bb12 ive wanted rachel to win. she is such a great competitor and deserves the money 100%..

Best argument Porsche can pitch to Adam before the final vote where he will most likely break the tie between Porsche and Rachel.

Porsche to Adam: Rachel may have been a better competitor in endurance challenges than I was but she would have never even made it to F10 had her fiancé not used the POV he won to save her from eviction. She is sitting next to me by the grace of Brendon and you are in the Jury because you did not win when you had to and I did.

@luv2shootpics: I understood it the same way as you did about the final part of the HOH competition. I watched BBAD from Saturday night and Porsche and Rachel kind of made me sick. They danced around and jumped around like 2 year olds. I have never liked Porsche because of her arrogance and it came through even more on that show. When they were laughing and jumping while Adam was in the DR, Porsche was telling Rachel that Rachel would go home $50,000 richer and that was about $5000 a week for the summer. UHHHH, who said Porsche would win. Started out them saying that one would win 50 and the other would win 500 thousand. That was fine but when Porsche started ramblin on about Rachel winning the 50, etc., I wanted to choke her. I have never been a Rachel fan but if anyone deserves to win this year it is Rachel and not Porsche. If Rachel played with her brain and not her emotions (as Brendon accused her earlier in the game) she would take Adam who would never win against her. Instead, I’m sure if she wins HOH she will take Porsche. Porsche can’t be trusted though and she could turn on a dime. I guess we will all see on Wednesday. And BBBlogger, thanks for finding a home where Sal can write about Survivor and we can all feel at home. I don’t have much money but I will be glad to help pay for the site. Just let me know how.

Also, Bobo, my husband is a Vietnam Vet and he has many of the same feelings I’m sure you do. They were vets who had no respect.

@Dom… Part three of the final HOH is mental, not physical so unless Rachel had a brain transplant over the weekend, Porsche should win part three and the final HOH.

You might also want to check out the Joker Updates poll results and see that the majority of fans think Porsche’s best chances at winning are against Rachel, not Adam.

PK, that’s a pretty lame argument coming from Adam. I’m not sure if his word will mean much in the Jury House since he was considered the ultimate floater. I did see the Jokers polls and I don’t think Porsche is smarter than Rach. Rach just has to keep her cool which Porsche is better at. If they’ve agreed to take each other, well then it doesn’t matter does it?

Hpr, did Rach react to P’s prediction that Rach would only get the $50K? I hope she at least gave the camera an eye roll.

Thanks Sal, now that you mention it, I remember the 3rd comp. They sit in the BB house in seats with a little wall between them and they answer the questions with that true or false turn thingy. The answers could be before or after or whatever, depending on the questions. All while Adam sits and waits.

Bobo, i truly can understand your feelings regarding 9/11.
my cousin was in nam and thank God he came home, but he was nevr the same. H was such a nice guy loving, giving and solid. He came home paranoid, a huge marajuana smoker which lead to other drugs, he is now divorced and is so pathetic, he is trying and has been trying for years to get help from the vet assoc but so far no go. It is a shame how we can help others in other countries but cannot seem to take care of our vets who served for our country. It is truly a sad state of affairs. I recall one 4th of july fireworks started to go off and we were in front yard having barbque, he dove to the ground between the noise and the brite colors needless to say we were all pretty upset.

i have noticed that on bbad the “voice” of bb is now responding to the hgs, if they say thank you bb, he replies “you are welcome’ last nite someone said something about sucking and the voice replied “that is what she said” i almost rofl. guess even “the voice” is anxious for this to be over.
looking forward to wed nite, i have never been a rach fan, but have to say she deserves to win 100%, she earned it and she is so much nicer without brendud, maybe because she needs those that are left in the house i do not know, but she is almost likeable lol

Winner of final HOH sends the last evictee out the front door and straight to the jury seats in front of the live audience where, if that evictee is Adam, he will have no time to do anything but repeat his lame “I coulda, shoulda, woulda to himself again and again before the jury votes.

Rachel deserves to be in the final two and I’d love it if Jordan could share the seat with her. I think either one could win and I’d be okay with it. I don’t think that Adam would win anything and if he made it to the final two, I’d be disappointed because he’d still win some type of money from his floating days. Ugh, this season is frustrating me and I can’t wait to see what happens next and I know some people haven’t watched Sunday’s episode but thankfully, it’s online at DISHonline. I couldn’d believe it when i read on joker’s what Adam was going to threaten the girls with, just shows what a desperate weasle he is at least the girls have both told him they are taking each other & haven’t kept him dangling. Why would he think 1 of them would take him to the final 2 it’s unbelievable xx

lmao PK i don’t think so but when i picked the phone back up after 15 min’s he was still going on so i put the poor soul out of his misery & pressed the cut off button, mind you i was the 3rd call of the night lol. northern_lass… Ted will surely be watching the US Open since his exercise routine for the week consists of him moving his head back and forth from one side of the net to the other. An extended volley and he has to turn away to catch his breath.

Now PK you’re taking the verbial now, i was but a nipper then in 60’s & at todays prices ( if the place is still there ) you’re talking a couple hundred quid now. London is 1 big rip-off you pay £5 just for a hot dog & £6 for a pint of beer so you don’t get many Brit’s going there for a holiday unless they’re going to see a show & that can cost up to £100, sheesh a don’t no where they think folk get the coin in this economy lol xx

northern_lass I will always remember the first theater production I attended in London. It was Agatha Christie’s “The Mouse Trap” and I would have understood what the actors were saying just as well had they been speaking Chinese. Before the play commenced they started playing the music to “My Country t’is of Thee, Sweet Land of Liberty” and I wondered why until I quickly learned it was also the music to a rather significant British anthem, as well. I still have the same problem trying to understand the rapid fire British English in the BBC theatrical productions on Public TV.

@ anne … there was a Canadian made movie for TV on as a repeat last night, I had seen it before, didn’t watch it again, but interesting enough … Diverted … On September 11th, 2001, 38 planes headed to New York City were diverted to Gander, Newfoundland, Canada. A town of 9,000 took in 7,000 passengers for 4 days until American airspace reopened.

Damn, I actually made a spelling mistake in the above post and either my Firefox or my eyeballs didn’t catch it. I blame FF.

I watched ‘102 Minutes That Changed the World‘ several times yesterday.

Wednesday night is going to be a killer for me, Survivor then BB, and I have to get up at 3.45 am. That will definitely be a napternoon for me.

As for telemarketers my number is on the ‘Do Not Call’ registry, they still bug me, so I just don’t answer the phone. Period.

@ northern lass I am in Vancouver. My balcony overlooks the downtown, Rogers Arena, BC Place, north shore mountains.

I bought at a good time, my mortgage is really low … that is the only reason why I can afford to live in this expensive city.

As for going out to dine, I don’t think we are as expensive as it sounds like it is in London.

northern_lass… I used to trade goods with the Hutterites in Alberta Province when I was in college in Utah. They made some very unique sheep skin coats that, though they were very heavy, lasted forever. I traded used ice skates I paid under $5 a pair for for each coat I then sold for a hefty profit to BYU students.

@ northern lass … Vancouver is the extreme west Canada on the North American continent, There is a small island called Vancouver Island, located 40 miles off the coast of Vancouver, that island is the true western edge of Canada, from there it is the Pacific Ocean and all points to Asia, including Hawaii 😉

Good afternoon how is you’re day going ? well i recieved some devastating news this morning my grandson’s best friend passed away after being on life support since Sunday, he was only 17 & had his whole life ahead of him. Unfortunately it was due to persrciption drugs which are on the streets here for £1 a tablet. Although he put them in his own mouth it’s the dealers that are to blame & i pray they find the person who sold them to him so RIP to ryan & i hope you’re now in a better place xx

northern_lass… Sorry to hear of your sad news about the death of a family friend. Prescription drugs can take lives when abused just as quickly as they can save them when used properly. The Law firm I was with in Virginia (New York and Palo Alto too) was patent and trademark counsel for Pfizer, Merck, Baxter Trevenol and several other pharmaceutical and medical supply companies and I drafted many pharmaceutical patent applications for drugs that should never be considered for recreational use – NEVER EVER!

Unfortunately, prescription drugs continue to be abused by people of all ages for as many illogical reasons as there are drugs to abuse.

My first exposure to “drugs” was marijuana during the beatnick years in the late 50’s and for thrifty me all I had to hear was how much a lid of pot cost even back then to wisely better spend my money at Baskin & Robbins and for Buckets of steamed Crabs and Beer at St. Micheals on the Eastern Shore of The Chesapeake Bay.

Thank you all for you’re messages of support unfortunatlly i don’t think Ryan will be the last 1 to die from taking this drug aparently they are rife in our area, the tablets he took were 30 mls & you can’t get them in this country as our doctor’s only prescribe up to 20mls people are buying them on the internet from Pakistan & China to sell over here & they are a herroin substitute. My only hope its that it’s scared the hell out of my Callum & he’lle never touch them again as he confessed to me after viewing Ryan’s body at the hospital that he had tried 1, so let’s pray it has given him the wake up call xx

I am surprised that they were able to purchase actual drugs, often they are substituted with an innocuous placebo.

@BCM unfortunaly they’re not they’re easy to get, i was on jury service last yr & the man that was on trial was caught with the same tablets the prosecutions expert had tested them & there was rat poison & other things mixed in with them, on the streets here they’re called blueys & believe me it’s rife among youngsters taking them with drink. what worries me with Callum is his mum & dad split up last year & he’s taken it bad he always thought they would get back together but his dad is in another relationship so that’s why i’m praying this will frighten him but thank you all for you’re kind thoughts it means allot xxx

Death sometimes really hits home with young people when it doesn’t matter what someone says. Too bad it takes something so dramatic.

As of last nite, Adam wasw still working the girls. He talks newbies and trash to Porsche and BB game to Rachel. Porsche hasd been acting like Rachel’s bestie but as soon as adam gets her alone , she starts talking about what a B*tch she is!! I’m with hpr…….never liked that girl! She said she didn’t come on to make friends….guess she meant it!! I just hope rach wises up in time and doesn’t take her to F2 if she wins!!! As with most of you, I am rooting for Rachel, mnot because I love her but becasue she deserves way more than the other two!!

Can’t wait for tonight!!! Survivor and BB Finale!! Going to be on reality overload!!!!lol
