Big Brother 8 Update, Odds & Questions Answered

by soonerryan on August 17, 2007

The feeds are back on after the Big Brother 8 houseguests finished the food competition — a rousing round of slop pong, a take off on the houseguests’ late-night beer-pong battles.

I do believe I heard Zach say that it was ironic that the people who normally played beer pong did not fare well in the slop version, which was contradicted by Zach eating two giant ham and cheese sandwiches, alongside a grilled cheese sandwich, washed down by a big, frosty Diet Coke.

Ahhh, the product placement. I’m hungry.

Zach did say that Eric hit the winning shot, so maybe I misheard.

Jen and Jameka are in the gym talking about nominations. Jen asks her who she think new HoH Daniele will nominate, and the 28-year-old school counselor from Maryland said she had no idea.

Really?

Just minutes before, in the storage room, Jameka told Amber that she had a feeling that this was going to be a good week. If you’re asking me, I’d say it’s cut and dry that Dani’s going to nominate Amber and Jameka and then try to backdoor Jen.

However, what has made BB great is its sheer unpredictability. One argument, one slip-up, one banner, one secret can turn this game on its head. It looks like nominations will be forthcoming in the next couple of hours with a PoV competition slated for early Saturday afternoon as usual.

In weeks past, I’ve posted my houseguest rankings, an effort I abandoned last week given the volatility of the house. However, here’s how I see things shaping up in terms of odds to win the whole thing:

Daniele: – She’s not the best player mentally, but relative to competitions, she’s the best. The absolute best. We have to remember that if she can survive to the Final 4, the game depends pretty much solely on competitions. Plus, she’s aligned with a great strategic player.

Her chances? Excellent.

Dick: – He was part of the biggest coup in Big Brother history, and I really think he’s gained some game-respect among his competitors. However, with Amber, Jameka or Jen gone next week, there is still a chance that Zach or Amber or Jen (whoever’s left) can win an HoH. Dick’s problem is that he’ll be THE target in that case.

Nevertheless, he’s a good, good player strategically. A great player, and seriously, the comparisons to Dr. Will we scoffed at earlier should be considered very seriously right now.

His chances? Very good.

Eric: – He executed this great coup, and he’ll take all the heat eventually. However, he’s a brilliant strategist and short-term alliance builder. But if he were to make it to the Final 4, I don’t like his chances in the competitions, and he’ll lose a final vote to anyone given that I do not believe the jury house will know of the twist. I write this because Dustin’s exit interviews with various Web sites do NOT acknowledge “America’s Player,” which they did with everyone else.

Nevertheless, Eric’s as good as Dick strategically.

His chances? Moderate.

Jessica: – She’s tied at the hip with Eric, but she came out of Thursday’s Dustin eviction clean as a whistle. She’s virtually a shoo-in for the Final 4, and at that point, it’s all about competitions.

Her chances? Very good.

Zach: – Opinion on the 30-year-old Florida State grad has changed in terms of game strategy. He was integral in Dick’s survival, but everybody in the house still overlooks him. Nevertheless, he sucks at competitions but would be a viable candidate to win in the finale given that he hasn’t alienated too many people, meaning the other houseguests will look to target him sooner rather than later.

His chances? Moderate.

Jen: – She’s goofy. She’s not very well liked. She gave up half the prize winnings, virtually ensuring a loss in the finale. However, she’s good at the competitions, meaning she could survive for a while. Long term though, she’s got no chance given the prize-money surrender.

Her chances? Poor.

Jameka: – Eric said it better than I could when he noted that she’ll beat anybody in a finale. She’s right, but only because she’s stayed true to herself even in the face of house criticism. Jameka is like Dick in a lot of ways in that, with her, what you see is what you get. In fact, a finale with Jameka and Dick would be very, very hard to call.

However, her decision to forfeit HoH opportunities was a killer. If she doesn’t go this week, she will absolutely go in the next three weeks. If not, it will be truly a great survival story, like her or not.

Amber: – When we had a survey asking all of you who was the best player so far, the Las Vegas cocktail waitress got all of one vote. While I hate criticizing women for being “emotional” given that it’s a criticism men often make of women unfairly, Amber takes it to a whole new level.

I’ve literally never seen anybody cry so much. Ever. In fact, she is so down in the dumps right now, I hope the producers have hidden all overdosable pills.

If she were to win this show, I would be stunned beyond belief. In fact, she’s the one houseguest I think stands no chance. None.

Her chances? I just told you.

Now for some questions that have come up in the comments:

1. Eric and the money. He has to complete FIVE tasks to get $10,000. It’s not $2,000 per task; it’s $10,000 for five. He has to complete five to get anything, and at this point, I suspect he is close to earning $20,000 or is starting the next five toward $30,000.

Now, for those of you who don’t know, these houseguests are paid. It’s nominal, but if you’re in the jury house, I think you get about $2,500 per week. Not chump change at all. Eric will walk away with a good amount, probably equivalent to what the runner-up gets, regardless.

2. Big Brother does it all for the ratings. OK, I’ve seen a lot of these comments, and knowing something about the television industry, I wanted to clarify a couple of things.

First, summer television shows do not rack up big ratings, no matter what. However, in the industry, these shows can be cash cows. They’re cheap to produce, and frankly, if they make anything, it’s a win.

Right now, NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” is the biggest summer show on television. Normally, it will pull a 2.8 to 3.2 rating on Tuesday nights, and Big Brother will do a 2.6 on the same night with a 2.0 on Sundays and a 2.6 to 2.8 on Thursdays. All of this numbers mumbo-jumbo relates to how many millions of TVs are tuned to this show.

OK, before I bore you to death with numbers, here’s the kicker. Big Brother’s ratings have climbed into that 3.0 to 3.2 range, a significant climb from last season. Our show is doing so well right now relative to network expectation that it’s almost assured of returning for the next couple of years, and we (the online community) are among the reasons why.

Sure, CBS probably wanted Dick to stay in the house, but I’m telling you that even more than Mr. Donato’s survival, they noticed us arguing about it. Being passionate about it. Blogging about it. In fact, the YouTube era of online video sharing has only served to make this game even more popular.

Does that mean CBS would try to compete with the big boys of the fall or winter seasons? No. The network isn’t trying to produce American Idol like numbers. They want a small but dedicated and insanely loyal group of viewers during the summer months, when television watching is traditionally down.

In other words, while the producers certainly didn’t weep at Dustin’s demise, they aren’t doing anything out of the ordinary to “rig” a show that’s only getting a 3 rating.

If you have comments or questions about the show itself you’d like answered, I’ll be “America’s Researcher” for you and do my best to get the info and post it here. So, ask away!

I think that Eric up till now has been losing the HOH competions on purpose. I think he said as much earlier in the game. This last competion to go out on the question about the suits of the cards, the easiest question of the night!! Then he started making excuses right away. Dude sometimes it’s better to not say anything. I think he wanted Amber to win so that maybe she would get rid of Dick or Danielle. Then he wouldn’t have to go back on his word, but he’d be able to get rid of the competion.
Dick and Eric are to much alike to both be playing this game.

I would agree that Dick and Eric are alike, and if you’ll allow me to make a comparison: Eric is reality-TV-nerdy smart. He knows these shows back and forth. Dick is worldly smart and extremely pliable. He rolls with the punches as well as anybody I’ve ever seen on reality TV. But, I would classify both as survivors.

Eric is a puppet with no decisions due to AMericA.Dick makes his own decisions. We on the outside cannot compare their gameplay knowing the twist.I personaly believe Nick + Dustin would still be playing without network interference.

Actually, I strongly beg to differ … those of us with live-feed access know better than even the houseguests as to what’s going on. It is impossible for anybody IN the house to be omniscient of everything happening, but those of us who watch the feeds know all.

And the “network manipulation” thing is getting old … every year has a twist, and this year’s is “America’s Player.” America was pretty adamant about Dustin going, which could be read as Dick staying … and Eric worked to that end. Next year, they’ll have a different twist, so sure by definition it’s network manipulation, but the inference that it’s fixed or rigged is ludicrous.

Finally, every person in this house makes his own decisions, well, except Eric, who gets his mandate from us. So, Nick and Dustin would be playing without the twist is what you’re saying?

There’s just no way to know that for sure.

Heck, they could just go back to the format of Year 1, the least successful of all the BB seasons, and have America vote … but that would be zero fun.

Ryan, though I can’t get the live feed (after a week of tech problems and unhelpful personnel AND I have satellite internet!) I totally agree with you. I watch the Showtime2 feed the day after and can gauge a lot just from that. I remember Season 1, where they had wash their clothes by hand and had very little modern conveniences, etc., and you’re right, no fun. =^^=

I’m sorry, but I still have a hard time with Dick being in the house. I know that I am very out-numbered but I feel he is just horrible. Yes, I know he is a great player and I know this is great tv and wonderful for the ratings, but he is a dangerous person. I feel he is being rewarded for being practically violent. Everyone talks about how great it is that he speaks his mind but the things he says are vile and I just don’t understand how that is okay. I am no prude by any means, but I just can’t understand how everyone is so for Dick. I have watched this show since the very first season and he is the worst of all. I think it is borderline negligent for the show to have him continue to stay with everything he has said and done. We all have such short-term memories, me included! All that said, it is a great season and I enjoy the online community. Thanks for doing all you do to keep us informed.

OK, I love Dick (haha). I know that not everyone agrees with me, and thats fine, but what I do know is that he’s more of an individual than anyone I’ve ever seen on BB, that it is rare to find such an individual anyway, and that I would want to be his friend, as would all of my friends….But we love Eric too–because he also shows some amount of uniqueness that is not common to BB.

I agree with Jameka that everything happens for a reason. It just isn’t always in the favour of everyone. Do I think Dick will win? Hells no! But I am glad he is in the house because he speaks for the lovely individuals that everyone wishes they could be.

Vivian, I understand completely where you’re coming from … the good news is that there are security guards outside the doors. BUT, my concern would not be Dick hitting somebody else but somebody else coming after him. Dick is strictly a mental battler. He likes to get under your skin, make you hate him, and I don’t doubt for a second that he secretly hoped Jameka would take a swing at him last week! 🙂 …

As for me, I am not FOR Dick by any means. I’m an Eric-Jessica guy. However, I am glad he’s on this show, and there is no doubt whatsoever that he’s the star.

Vivian, I totally agree with you. On any other show, he would have been evicted for pouring the tea on Jen’s head. That’s even mentioning all the other things he’s done. Have we become so desperate for entertainment that we look to someone who curses like a sailor, farts, burps, spits, picks his nose, doesn’t wash his hands when he goes to the bathroom, reduces a recovering drug addict to tears, says horrible things about her knowing her daughter will view it, pushes a Christian to the point of meltdown so that she regresses to her “worldly” ways, plots against his daughter’s boyfriend, then talks to Eric like a dog because he thinks Eric betrayed the alliance (which he did) to vote Nick out, steals personal belongings, hides food . . . should I continue? I know of no other season where one single houseguest would have been allowed to do the things Dick has and not been evicted by BB, not the other houseguests. They wouldn’t even allow alcohol in the house for a few days because Dick was getting high and going off on people. What they didn’t show you were the diary room sessions where the other houseguests were telling BB they wanted to quit and go home because they were literally afraid of Dick. I don’t blame them. I would be, too.

Now, he smells victory and money, so he’s calmed down and is behaving? I don’t buy it. He’s still a wolf in sheeps clothing. . . plus he just looks creepy – like Satan, himself. I don’t think any other houseguest has had to be bleeped as much as ED has. Are we so desperate that we think this is good TV? I think he should have left two weeks ago when he started acting up with Jen. When he poured the tea on her, he should have been gone.

Isn’t it ironic that the oldest houseguest is the one who acts the most childish????

And Dani . . . waaaahhhh . . . . don’t judge me by my dad . . . when she’s plotting with him and definitely CONDONING his actions, I don’t care what she said in the HOH room in her little speech. She tells her dad she’s tired of all these liars and deceivers . . . well, duh! Look in the mirror, babe!

I’m afraid, unless they wake up and band together, Jen, Jameka, Zach and Amber are going to be picked off one by one. If Jess and Eric (my pic for final 2) are smart, they get rid of D & D at first opportunity!

That’s just my two cents worth.

Professor Ice August 17, 2007 at 9:30 pm

The “game” is rigged and the “fix” in one. Here’s why!

Think back to Big Brother 2. Do you remember Mike “Carri” aka Mike Mallin? Do you recall Krista Stegall? Do you remember Justin ‘stab you’ Stebik? Now, think real hard about a KNIFE INCIDENT. The lights are on now, aren’t they boys and girls?

Okay, think back a couple weeks in Big Brother 8. Remember when Doofus Dick ‘poured’ ice tea on Junky Jenn? Yes you do boys and girls, right?

Well, when Mike “Carri” aka Mike “Mallin” wasn’t booted for HIDING his arrest record, while Justin Stebik was immediately removed for “playing” with a knife; and Doofus Dick was NOT even chastised publicly, was he? Six short years later, NOTHING has PUBLICLY happened to Doofus Dick. Why?

The “fix” folks. Doofus Dick and Junky Jenn are on on the “fix”, alomng with the crooked producers.

This “game” is more crooked than an NBA ref, a mile of bad road, or the WWE (which is more amusing that BB). Hell, its more crooked than MLB and steroids. But, I digress.

Big Brother 2 house guest Krista Stegall sued CBS seeking damages because, as her lawyer says, CBS “placed all of the house guests, including Krista, in danger” by failing to thoroughly check Justin’s background.

http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/bigbrotheragain.html

http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/kristabb1.html

Justin Sebik was expelled from the house when, early on July 11, 2001, in between kissing her, held a knife to Krista’s throat and asked, “Would you get mad if I killed you?” Later, it was discovered that he had an arrest record.

Following her eviction, Krista (who had also lied about her background), said in an interview with the New York Daily News, “I didn’t think of Justin as threatening at all. I honestly don’t even remember him holding a knife to my neck. Maybe I had my eyes closed when he did it. But if he did that, I’m sure he never intended to harm me.” Krista’s suit seeks “damages for negligence on the part of CBS and the producers, pain and suffering, mental anguish, medical bills, mental impairment and loss of enjoyment of life,” the paper reports.

This is such a dull group of people, not terribly interesting nor are their dynamics amongst
themselves. No real chemistry between any of them..Eric is a ringer, that really does
manipulate the whole house.. Is that fair?? Dick is kind of an LA wanta’ be that has never
evolved. He is angry yes, but also the most vital. I find Jen to be one of those broads that is so in your face, and narcissistic- I do not think she has a clue how invasive her personality is.. I wash the games had actual iintellectual content..

Actually I am getting hooked on Sunset Tan…..Rossetta

Does anyone remember the name HOWARD STERN??? I couldn’t figure out for DECADES what anyone found fascinating about him!! Well he’s not called the SHOCK JOCK for nothing!! His popularity directly is reflective of what America wants. No he’s not on the regular air waves anymore but he’s making a KILLING on satellite radio!! NOTHING Dick has done or COULD do could match up against some of the stuff Howard Stern has done to people!

Again, I’ll say, I’ve raised 4 AWESOME men – I have never had them around this kind of behavior, nor would they EVER treat a woman with disrespect – I almost didn’t even have to teach them that – it seemed inherent! If I come in a room and there is a scene playing from a movie where there KIND OF racey scenes, they change the channel IMMEDIATELY because they don’t want to be in the same room with MOM with that on out of respect! SO, if anyone has read me as the type of person who approves of this – that’s way wrong. I MORE disapprove of what Jameka does – I think SHE with her holier than thou attitude, while she sits in a hammock with Amber using just as vile language as Dick and her scheming and deceiving, while pointing her finger at Dick or Danielle (who JUST tried to show her kindness), and at the same time STILL saying that it’s ALL in God’s hands that it IS predetermined, BUT that she is NOW going to fight for everything, that she has a fire in her now that is different than before (well, what does it matter – if it’s all predetermined – HYPOCRITE!!!) !!!!! SHE is dangerous!!! People look to her BECAUSE she WALES a Bible everywhere she goes so THERFORE she must be above the rest of us – well I don’t turn my back on people like THAT – I WAY more trust someone who I know just what they are about and where they are coming from – they pull no punches and they put on airs for ANY ONE – what you see is what you get!! I’ll take the Dick’s of the world (please don’t jump on that one, LOL) WAY before turning my back on the Jameka’s of the world (remember I had PERSONAL experience with the Jamekas of P.G. County – who would USE scripture to justify screwing me over and taking food from MY children)!!

You are watching an example of what society is DEMANDING to watch on t.v. I come from the era of Donna Reed and I Love Lucy, and wasn’t even allowed to see a pregnant woman on t.v., or a married couple sleep in the same bed – so you can imagine how far I’ve come to at least consider the popularity and try to understand it. Having 37, 34, and a 25 and 23 year olds probably kept me way younger beyond my years in that I HAD to at LEAST KNOW what was out there and being open to learning new things, which I do daily. That isn’t to say I approve of what I see, rather that I DO have a choice – BUT, the choice has become VERY narrow as of recent years, due to the very FACT that society is DEMANDING to see the vilest of the vile on t.v. And, personally, I choose NOT to watch, this was my FIRST Big Brother, and it’s amazing to me that this show is BASED on psychology, period!! Some of the tests these guests get are basic psychology 101, LOL! Psychologists everywhere must be writing Thesis’ on these shows – they are a perfect study in human behavior – think about it.

Well that’s my ONE cent, for whatever it’s worth!

I don’t know how anybody can call Dick a good strategic player. His and Danielle’s plan to oust Eric last week failed (D/D clearly overplayed their hand)and the only reason he survived this week was the intervention of the fans. How is that good strategy?

Lisa, you’re right on about Howard Stern, but I’ve actually always enjoyed the guy. I suppose he and Dick might be similar to a certain extent. I haven’t given it much thought. I enjoy Dick also for that matter, and in fact my favorite, gut-busting moment was when he was trying to awaken Amber by yelling, “Coffee? Cigarettes?” in this nasty, smoky voice while walking with a swerve to mock her work as a waitress in Las Vegas.

And I’m sure your sons are awesome, and I definitely look forward to your comments!!!

However, I would respectfully disagree that Jameka’s faith is somehow dangerous or that she’s even a hypocrite generally. She’s a sinner like everyone else who believes, and it’s clear to me that she struggles with it, hence, the Bible toting and study and reference. Her discussions about Christianity with Amber have been genuine, I think, and it’s probably the reason they connect.

Is she holier than thou? Hmmm, I’m not seeing it. What I see is somebody who is trying to use her faith to strengthen her in this game, somebody who perhaps uses it to strengthen herself in life, but not as a judgment against anybody else. In fact, I think she has practically paraded her spiritual weakness. It’s almost as if she’s proclaiming to the world just how much she really needs God’s help, as we all do. She’s letting the thorns show, if you will.

So, I see it a bit differently. No, I would think that if she were a “stronger” Christian, she might be able to stand on her own two feet without calling Dick’s mother a bitch. Even for people of other faiths or no faith, that’s stooping pretty low. Nevertheless, Dick did bait her, and despite the Biblical quip about turning the other cheek, our very humanity makes that nearly impossible at times.

However, Jameka also put herself in this house, bringing the spiritual struggle on herself; therefore, I don’t really feel any sympathy toward her in that respect.

But I respect the fact that when she gets into crazy mode that she turns to her faith. To me, that’s a very reasonable response for somebody who believes. At no time did she say she thought she would win this game because SHE is the true Christian, a sentiment that would in fact be holier than thou.

So, again it’s just my perspective, I’ll take Jameka and her faith at face value. I do believe it’s genuine, and I’ll point to her decision to remove Jen off the block, to vote to save Eric and her decision to stick with the vote to evict Dick in the face of Jessica’s revelation to her moments before the live show that the vote would in fact go the other way as evidence that Jameka sticks to her core values.

Might she have some spiritual issues with anger and letting people get to her? You bet … but, hey, there are millions who struggle with that, too … and, hopefully, she’ll be struggling with that OUTSIDE the Big Brother house in the next couple of weeks! 🙂

UM sooner, I’m not sure that I EVER said Jameka’s religion was dangerous – and if you can’t see that Jameka is praying and quoting scripture regarding what God would want and then on the other hand doing EXACTLY what everyone else in the house is doing _ NOW even accusing Dick and Danielle having an insestuous relationship – if you don’t see something wrong with that – well, I won’t try to change that – only YOU can deal with it. I’m not sure where you are coming from in respect to MY posts, but they really haven’t said much different from what you have said – but, whatever, we can agree to disagre – that is, IF there’s a disagreement there. Maybe I’ve had more experience with THIS TYPE of christian and it was a much more exasperating experience than dealing with the obnoxious “dicks” of the world. I ONLY used MY sons as an example of my disdain of certain behavior, and understanding where people are coming from.

It seems to have offended you, but that’s the “way of the world” and the chance we take in expressing our opions here. Perhaps this is just not the place for me to post which is cool, too.

BIG BROTHER 8 has become like American Idol when Sanjaya came into the forefront. Bad has become good and good has become bad. Howard Stern and some website were actually promoting voting for the worst instead of the best so the results of the program would get screwed up. If you remember, good people left while Sanjaya stayed and screwed up songs.

BB8 has gone so off course by having interference from outside (America voting) that the game of logic and strategy which I saw in previous Big Brother shows no longer exists for me in this one. I honestly believe CBS did it to keep things emotionally stirred up. They probably believe that people these days obviously prefer a good fight to a good logical game of human chess strategy. In other words, fights, tears, farts, belches, spitting, name calling and screaming make for good summer ratings. Intelligence, logic and strategy make for ho hum ratings.

I'[d venture to say if the network had not introduced “America’s Player” into the meld, we’d be seeing a totally different Big Brother at the moment. Obbviously they chose Eric for their undercover guy because he not only looks like a rat but with gusto could be on called on to do in anyone for money . This really has caused this show to become a cheesy operation.

I can’t believe Dick was allowed to be so obnoxious to the other players and get by with it. He is not intelligent; he is simply a bully. A lot of people out there seem to root for bullies these days.

Here’s what in my point of view we’ve actually got going presently:

Amber — emotionally needy to the point of total distraction; eats and cries all the time
Jameka — hides behind a paint-by-the numbers religious code; chows down like a cow
Daniel — whiny, baby talking, spoiled rotten; bored with anything outside of herself
Dick — so cool he can hardly stand himself; spits, farts, belches and expects you to adore him for it because he’s so cool. He’s one scarey dude. I could see him becoming violent and probably has in the past. Ask Daniel. She didn’t have anything to do with him for years without a good reason.
Zach — lord, who told this dork he was cute? He gives dud a whole new meaning.
Eric — a live rodent; watch his mouth and his eyes; I believe he would push his grandmother in a wheel chair down the steps for money.
Jen — actually she’s lucky and she manufactures her own luck; she really does know how to selll a lie for her own good. If “America’s Player” hadn’t directed this years programming, I thnk she’d be a good prospect as the winner. Believe you me, here’s a lady who could do you in with a touch of class. She’s a bit scarey.

SO– who will win this year’s mish mash? Who cares? It’s all so screwed up with network interference via America putting the Sanjaya screws to things that the program is no longer a game of logic. It’s just a mad dog fight. And I thought that was outlawed. Obviously not or they would have tossed out Dick a couple of weeks back for being such a bully. His motto: Bullies always win.

Susan B.–

Do you not fart, burp or pick your nose? Most people do, by the way. And many people swear.

And have you met Satan? Probably not. Therefore, how do you know what he/she looks like?

I think it’s unfair to say that someone looks like Satan because they have tattoos and crazy hair.

I dont think that anyone denies that Dick is a dick, but you don’t know him well enough to be making any judgements on his character. It is not just. You could not be used as a character reference in court, for example.

Dick attacks the Status Quo, and I think that is wonderful. But then again…I am an anarchist….

Jack, I have to agree with you on so many levels. I think CBS introducing America’s Player was a major mistake. It manipulates the activities in the house and does not leave the game of surviving in the house to thw wiles of the players.

I have said it before and I still believe that CBS is manipulating the votes to keep Dick in the house to keep the rating high. Too many things have taken place that are too convenient, mainly the requests that sleazy Eric has to follow through on.

In the real world a person like Dick would be never be allowed to behave the way he does, at least not by civilized, intelligent people. He is just a gross bully and basically has a great dislike for women. He really needs to address this problem when he gets outside the house, hopefully soon.

I for one happen to like Jameka and Amber. I think they are real, do not hide their emotions, and have alot of baggage to deal with. They wear their feelings on their respective sleeves, whether it be Jameka’s religion or Amber’s emotional crying. I agree, Zach is a total Dud, Jen is clever and I would like to see her actually have a real chance at winning. Daniele is a total mess, a whiner, completely immature, and I think completely afraid of her father. She uses the act of being embarassed by him, but I really think she is afraid of him. Why else has she stayed away from him for so many years.

If she had had the guts, she would have put him on the block this week. Once free of him, perhaps she could really start playing the game for herself, not just fulfilling her father’s wishes.

The entire thing is a mess. As I have said in these blogs before, this is actually the first season I have ever watched this show. I will see it through this summer, but quite honestly, I have no desire to watch it in future seasons. It is so being manipulated by the network. The actual nightly Showtime feeds are really better than the primetime shows. You get to see who these people really are.

Actually…the game is now set up to be too predictable. Viewers watch b/c of the struggle btween “good vs evil” CBS could still manipulate it to make . . .what? . . .J/A have somekind of “pick/up to make D/D/E/J jealous? Eric to not be such a woos and have the bealls to go against D/D & c if he’s got the brains to come up w/ his OWN plan. Again setting a fire under dick. And dani DID NOT stay up all nite 4 her nom. W/o her dads “control” she would have put up the weasel eric. (i actually mute sho/time when he constantly drolls ON & ON!!) i can’t stand to hear him smack. . Giggle. . .or “sneaky” eye moves! Will Jess flip when she sees all he is? She makes a good puppet. They all do. CBS needs to “hook” it up or they are going to lose viewers. Admit it. We like to watch “drama” we can walk away from. What would ur “hooks” be?

Hilarious! The “princess” got backdoored once again, and didn’t like it this time. What an arrogant “little girl.” Even as gross as ED is, Dustin, with his preening, stretching, smelling everything inlcuding himself, and general bitchy self, is worse. This had to be the biggest turn-around in BB history. Now the “fag-hag” Amber, and Jameeka (I am a Christian) “jah-mama” don’t have Dustin to “think” (sic) for them anymore. Their bed is suddenly cold and lonely. What will they do now? Tough stuff sweetie. They now have to play the game for the first time since they entered the house. No more being the “welfare babies” of the house!

Jack Fitzgerald is right on. Daniele sucks and I feel bad for her boyfriend on the outside. At this point I’m kind of pulling for Jessica to somehow win.

I have a question because i haven’t watched the previous seasons. Has anyone ever gotten kicked off for abusing other players. I would assume there are some guidelines. Dick dumped a drink on Jen’s head..not a big deal to me but I’ve seen someone at a bar actually arrested for doing that. I would have kicked him in the balls for that one.

discokilla, I do recall a houseguest getting the boot for putting his hands on another houseguest. He was an a$$hole anyway, and it was a good thing. I think it was season one. The second it happened he was GONE.

And as far as everyone who keeps harping on how cruel and nasty ED was to certain members of the house, he HASN’T been that way for almost two weeks (you’d know that if you were paying attention), and it was GAME, of which he has already explained to the “god squad”. With him and Danny up on the block, he was only making sure that he went home no matter how badly the other houseguests wanted to vote her out. And it was the “god squad” who brought religion into the house to begin with. Don’t you remember Jameka telling eveyone that Jen pulled her ball because it was God’s will that she save Jen and use the veto on her? I would think that our Lord has a few more important things to take care of in the world than to worry about some stupid reality game (ok, His eyes, not mine) being badly played by a freak. “Let me taste you God, Let me taste you” What the hell was THAT?!?!?!?!?!

Natvtxn, I think your comments were erased because your spelling and typos bring the average IQ of this blog down about 47 points. If you find the whole show so boring and predictable quit watching.
