Big Brother 22 — The Houseguests Know!

by Lisa Marie Bowman on September 29, 2020

Well, I know we were all looking forward to the houseguests being totally shocked by Thursday’s triple eviction but it’s not going to happen. The houseguests know.

All week, the houseguests have been watching videos featuring Dr. Will. It appears that one of the upcoming HoH comps is going to be a memory game that involves answering questions about Will’s video. Apparently, earlier today, Will ended his video by saying that “three or four of you might be going home this week.”

The houseguests were already expecting Thursday to be a double eviction but now, they know it’s going to be at least a triple. I am really disappointed. I don’t blame Will. For the most part, he’s just reciting a script given to him be production. I really don’t understand why production decided to give the houseguests this advanced warning.

As a result, people are a bit more nervous in the Big Brother House. Though the target still appears to be Kevin, there’s still a lot of resentment over David taking the $10,000 during the veto comp so it’s hard to say for sure that David won’t be the first one sent to jury on Thursday night. David has been trying to campaign but his pitch is basically that he wants to see the smaller kitchen table that production brings in when there’s only 6 houseguests left. That’s not exactly a great pitch.

Nicole, meanwhile, is upset because Cody has been helping Enzo “study” for the HoH comp by quizzing him on Will’s videos. However, Cody has not been helping Nicole and apparently, Nicole snapped at him about it. So, for most of tonight, she’s been worrying that she is going to be the next target. And she very well may be.

Tyler has told Memphis that he thinks the best plan would be to vote out Kevin and then go after Dani and Nicole during the triple. Memphis has said that he agrees, though he could just be humoring Tyler. So, who knows? David might get to see the new table afterall.

Finally, for some reason, the HGs got it into their heads that they might do a surprise show tonight. I guess they’re thinking that there might be two eviction episodes this week. So, everyone got dressed up just in case Julie appeared on the screen in the living room. Just about everyone eventually figured out that nothing is going to happen tonight but Tyler and Memphis are still sitting in the living room, just in case.

Personally, I prefer the House when everyone’s paranoid. Still, I wish they had left the triple eviction as a total surprise for Thursday.

I guess production decided they could create some paranoia by telling HGs about a triple eviction. I’m with you Lisa Marie. I am annoyed that the proverbial cat is out of the bag! But… they do what they do. I think BB22 is losing viewers in droves. I haven’t watched in over a week… just staying caught up on blogs & jokers. This season is boring.

I agree 100% that it wasn’t right to let the HG’s know about the triple eviction. I was looking forward to the surprise of the whole thing, and I haven’t looked forward to much during this season. It’s a shame how CBS production manipulates this show.

But production has been a part of the outcome of the game since S1. They’re like the referees and umpires of sports… we may not like them, but they are part of the game and can affect the outcome.

Exactly, they affect the outcome of a reality show. That is not reality. The season stinks anyways.

Shoot, I was looking forward to a surprise. Has there ever been a triple eviction before?

I didn’t think so Ted… so i googled that. Nope, never before. The double eviction didn’t start until S5… which could mean, Dr. Will might have gotten evicted in S2 if they’d had it back then. The double eviction has definitely altered the outcome of the game… looking forward to see how the triple impacts the mega alliance…

It has been done in Canada Big Brother. They could either have one HOH nominate 3 people and they vote for who they want to stay. Or play it out each time.

I was really looking forward to a surprise as well! Production sucks for letting them know. I’m ready for this season to be over as well.
