Big Brother 20: Who has the power?

Hi y’all!

So, the feeds are online and there’s already drama in the house.  If you haven’t gotten the feeds yet and you want to, here’s the link: Big Brother Live Feeds!  Remember, getting your feeds from this blog helps Bill to pay for this site!

Now, as for what we’ve learned since the feeds went live:

Okay, you remember last year’s Den of Temptation?  Well. this year, they’re doing something similar. Over at the CBS site, there is a link that explains how to vote for “Who’s Trending.”  Basically, you’re asked five questions (a typical question is something like, “Who is the most entertaining?”) and whoever’s name is mentioned the most wins an App of Power while whoever is mentioned the least wins the Crapp App.  Basically, it’s just an overly complicated way of doing a popularity poll.

So, the first round of voting closed last night.  (A new round will begin shortly and apparently, it’s going to be a weekly thing.)  We already know that Faysal received the least votes.  As a result, whenever Big Brother announces that a food delivery from “Hamazon” is sitting in the storage room, Faysal has to go and eat the entire delivery.  Originally, the punishment was that Faysal was going to have to eat sliced ham, which goes against his religion.  So, they switched it out for slices of vegan ham, which is even more nasty.  Faysal has apparently actually been getting physically ill from having to eat the delivery.

As for who got the most votes … well, earlier today, Robot Sam told Tyler that she would be staying no matter what, which a lot of people are interpreting to mean that she won the power.  (Sam, incidentally, has only been a human on the feeds for a few hours.  She’s spent most of the time in robot form.)  Now, no one is sure what the power is and Sam was kind of intentionally vague about it.  Sam could be bluffing so who knows.  We’ll find out on Sunday!

As for the house itself, the HGs are pretty much divided into three groups:

There’s the Winston group, which is made up of Winston, Brett, Rachel, Angela, and Kaycee.  Winston and Brett have a bit of a bromance going on but Winston has been coming on way too strong.  Last night, he was a paranoid mess because he’s convinced that Haleigh’s been going around and spying on people.

Then, there’s Chris’s group, which is made up of Haleigh, Kaitlyn, Chris, Bayleigh, Faysal, and Angie.

And then there are the floaters: Scottie, Steve, Sam, JC, and Tyler.  Tyler and Haleigh may have a showmance going and Tyler definitely seems to be playing both sides of the house.  Tyler is a superfan who even watches Big Brother Canada but, whenever anyone talks to him about the game, he plays dumb and pretends that he’s never seen the show before.

As for the two nominees, Sam has spent most of her time in robot form but she might be safe because of the power.  As for Steve, he’s been trying really hard to fit in but it’s an obvious struggle for him.  Steve tends to be very loud when he talks to people and is trying a bit too hard to come across as being just a jovial guy.  Right now, depending on how the POV goes, it seems like either one could be the house’s target.

As for the veto comp, players were selected today.  Tyler, Sam, Steve, Faysal, Scottie and Chris.  JC will be hosting the competition.
