Big Brother 19 — As We Wait For The Feeds To Come Back…

Hi, everyone!

Well, I’m still waiting for the feeds to come back so, as we wait, here’s a quick update on what happened tonight. If you haven’t seen the episode yet and you don’t want it to be spoiled, stop reading now and come back after you’ve seen it.

Anyway…

Tonight was the battleback. There were three comps. The first one was a maze comp, which should have been familiar to anyone who has ever watched Survivor. Using a pulley system, Dom, Jillian, Cameron, and Cody had to direct a ball through a maze. Cody finished the maze first. Cameron finished second. Dom and Jillian were eliminated.

This was followed by another comp, this one between Cameron and Cody. Using a catapult, they had to knock down ten blocks. (Again, this was a comp that’s been featured on nearly every season of Survivor.) Cameron did surprisingly well but ultimately, Cody won. Cameron was eliminated and Cody moved on.

(For the record, I hate the way that Cameron’s been treated. He should have been allowed to reenter the house when Megan self-evicted. But, oh well. He’s gone now.)

Cody was then told that he would have to win one more comp to enter the house. The houseguests would pick one houseguest to compete against him. Cody was allowed to pick which comp he wanted. He picked the maze.

As for the houseguests, they were each sent to the diary room where they voted for the houseguest they wanted to serve as the house’s champion. Foolishly, they all voted for Paul. (Paul has gotten a reputation for being a challenge beast. He’s good but he’s not that good.)

Despite the best efforts of the show’s editors, there was never really any suspense over who was going to win that final competition. Cody won easily and, as a result, Cody is now back in the house! Jessica was really excited. Mark looked like he was about to start crying again.

So, what do you think we’ll see when the feeds come back? Will Jessica and Cody be plotting Paul’s downfall or will they now be working with Paul? And how will the rest of the house be handling the return of Cody? It’s interesting to note, as well, that the entire house put their faith in Paul and he failed pretty spectacularly.

We’ll see what happens!

Was just informed by a friend of someone who apparently has some cred giving out inside spoilers.

This person claims the new HOH is….
Jessica

They also claim Christmas was her competition…. and Jess tried to make a deal but Christmas didn’t take it

I have no idea if any of this is true….. but as always with people claiming to have inside info… it is interesting to see if they are right or not

So if Jess is HOH… and Christmas does very well… then I will pay further attention to this person.

I did see a commercial showing the HOH comp was holding your hand up and pressing a button with something.
I read it lasted about 3 hrs? IDK

Well I am very happy Cody is back in the house. Now it may be worth watching BBAD. The look on Paul’s face was priceless. It should be a very interesting week. Thanks so much for the updates.

Thanks Lisa. Was waiting anxiously for the new blog. I feel like I will be watching a rerun. Did not want Cody to come back in house. I don’t really have a favorite. Kinda rooting for the little Arkansas girl though I don’t see her winning. Not into the season at all.

I am happy that Cody won as I know that he will being drama. Now maybe the rest of the sheep who are following Paul blindly will have to start playing the game. I also hope it is Jess who won the h0h as that will really bring the drama and shake up the game. I love it.

Maybe I’m getting too old to watch millenials. I mean this show started in 2000….we’re not getting any younger here!! lol
I try to watch BBAD an most of them just annoy me!! Either by being immature or just plain stupid! Not the best looking or fun group either so hard to get enthused. I mean Ian wasn’t handsome but he was so smart you had to root for and love the guy!!
I was thinking back and do you remember S5?? It was the twin twist thing. I really don’t remember the HGS much by name or anything. But the twins were yucky and they liked a macho dude that was kind of like a Paul. but I just remember hating that season because I couldn’t stand any of the HGS,, S6 wasn’t great either. After that they went to All stars and things have been pretty good since then. Until this year!!lol

Well, I’m late to the party… but I am glad Cody won. I think maybe Dom told him wgphat happened with Paul. Hopefully he’s no longer interested in a teaming up with Paul.

Love that Jessica gave him a big hug and said “don’t do anything stupid” until she brought him up to date.

Watching BBAD… these players all look shell-shocked. This should be an interesting week in the BB House.

Jessica is HOH and has her special power. Time to flip the house upside down!

Star…. I’m not sure who the HN are! I have never seen how they are picked this entire season. I heard Jessica say something about Cody being on slop but on second thought he ate slop even when he has HOH. So who the heck knows. I do know they are behaving like we thought they would if they got HOH again. Arrogantly!

Honestly, I’m over the whole have not thing.
Seems they just pick them at random or by who is out of a comp first these days.
They could do away with the have not thing IMO.

And not a fan of the silly costumes anymore either. They were somewhat funny at first…. but they have done several a year for so many years that I’m tired of them.

Didn’t there used to be a food comp?? And whoever lost was on slop. It was on the TV shows so we at least KNEW what as going on!!It was fun because it was another comp and they didn’t have to deal with the whole have not room thing. Just couldn’t eat. That’s hard enough!! Where’s the complaint office?? lol

BTW……why do we know who is nominated???? Shouldn’t there be a ceremony?? Usually at this point you might know who someone is thinking of but it’s not official. I feel like everything is happening too fast and behind our backs or I’m missing something here…….which is very possible…lol

IDK when they actually did HOH…. but the rumor that Jess won was from 8 hrs ago or so.
And Friday is the normal day for noms… so that makes sense.

But with the timeline so thrown off by battle back… you would have thought they would wait longer for noms.
But I suppose they have to do them if POV is played Saturday like normal.

I keep waiting for this season to settle into regular BB routine… but it doesn’t. 😆

I’m glad Cody battled back. And Margie I was voting for Jessica hoping she would get the halting hex to protect Cody from later eviction. I’m pretty sure JT is right that Jessica did in fact win HOH and I heard the same thing about Josh and Ramses being nominated though I’m not 100% sure about that. Jess and Cody we’re snuggling in the HOH. But it doesn’t make sense that he’s on slop if she is HOH. I have to watch more bbad to glean what’s happening. Can you imagine how boring it would be right now if Cameron or Jillian we’re back in?

Star… I’m with you too about possibly being too old to watch these millennials. They annoy me and more than that, scare the heck out of me because they will be running our country someday. I surely hope all Millennials are not like them. I remember the first twin twist it was played out magnificently.

I wonder if the hgs zoned in on the fact of Paul’s failure. And I wonder how Paul will spin this.

I’m delighted at the turn of events tonight. Just what I hoped would happen. I know, I know. Not a very popular thing to say, but if anyone can throw a wrench in Paul’s game it’s Cody. NO ONE else in that house could. Alex would come close, but I don’t believe she could rally everyone to her side. Watch and see. When hgs notice Cody taking control, more and more will want to work with him to keep a target off their backs. Paul will probably try to talk some of his crew into pretending to be Cody’ minions so as to spy and report on Cody’s plans and strategy. Cody, I hope, is wise enough to know he shouldn’t believe one thing they say. Paul may even…and I think this is highly probable…try to form an alliance with Cody.

If the F2 turn out to be Paul and Cody, I hope Paul gets second place again. If he wins then every other hg who has ever been on BB should be given a second chance.

If the next HOH puts up Cody and Jess for eviction, Jessica’s hex will keep her and him safe. More shocked looks. I can’t wait! : )

Janna… no worries about any spoilers. I’m two hours from the BB house so if I don’t want to be spoiled I stop poking around any BB web sites or this blog. Last year I didn’t care if I was spoiled but this year I like the element of surprise….

Cody eats slop even when he’s not a have not… go figure. I thought Jessica might win HOH. Putting up R and J seem to be too easy. Once they’re gone its going to be chaos and I hope Elena and Mark go but most of all, Paul. Did you hear Paul say he didn’t like BB bringing back someone????? Well what does he think he is? Door knob.
I still like Kevin. As I said before, he makes me laugh. I like Maven but Matt will eventually get aggressive, I hope. If Christmas didn’t have a broken foot she’d be HOH. Darn it.

tendr…door knob….lol I doubt they would put C&J up together. This whole season has been about backdoors.
Christmas was one of the very few I liked at first. It’s too bad her game is ruined. She has no shot at winning and is basically just sitting around there recouping in pain. It really seems unfair. Like her or not, it would have been nice, since Megan quit and she should have to go, if they brought Cameron back. I felt sorry for him last night. I think if she were fine, Christmas would definitely be HOH by now!!!

Hey Star… no actually I’ve moved 34 times across eight states landing in California in 1971, however I had lived here in 1963 when President Kennedy ttwas shot. I was in 3rd grade and remember it like it was yesterday.

Agreeing with you about the timeline … the BB week seemed so slow early on but now I blinked and lost 3 days of events that flew past me at light speed!! I’m actually loving this year’s BB roller coaster ride. I’m not hearing too many complaints of boredom this year.

Earlier Josh was lying on his spiked bed talking to the camera having a good ole time…just a happy little camper. So he’s on the block, a have not and smiling about it. The boy really does have a screw loose!!!

Junksies…..WOW! that’s a lot of moves!! I’ve only lived in 4 places ans 2 I was so small I don’t remember!lol

I always tivo BBAD and let it gt at least 30 mins to an hr ahead so I can FF thru stuff. And not spend 3 actual hrs there!!lol When I came to that scene about josh I FF right thru it!!!! I can’t help it. that guy just gives me the creeps and totaly turns me off! I seriously hope he goes HOME this week!!!!!

Did you see Cowboy tearing up about his son and not wanting anyone to see him?? I thot that was so sweet!! I also totally forgot he was married much less had a kid!!!! Then JOSH…ugh…..tried to go in there and comfort him and hug all over him and he didn’t want or need it! Josh tries way to hard to insert himself into any drama and to get people to like him,. It doesn’t work that way!! I think he wanted to tell Josh to leave him the blank alone but he is too nice a guy!! I like him more all the time!!

Junksies….. the reason Josh was so happy is because he has been told by the other side of the House that he is NOT going home. Cody and Jess want him to go home and they are not planning on backdooring Paul! Go figure. C/J want to keep Ramses on their side for a vote. C/J think they have the majority in their pocket but they don’t! The only people on their side is Mark, Elena and Ramses.

Looks like Jess and Cody may be playing a more social game. They joined everybody for the friendship chat in the apple room.
I think Cody is shy and doesn’t like crowds. More than a couple of people and he gets uncomfortable. A couple of my nephews are like that and he appears to have that same trait. He is definitely an enigma…

I didn’t realize until last night that when Paul initially entered the house he said the snake is here which one of you bit the apple. How appropriate I was glad Cody made it back although would have like to ,see how Cameron would have played given the chance. I agree with you Bob. I admit they can’t get Josh out ot the
house fast enough for me. He doesn’t even understand the
basics of how to play this game. He makes enemies every
time he opens his mouth. Even the ones who say they are
on his side don’t like him, but are keeping him to get the
target off of them. He’s actually a ticking time bomb they
can’t control. But I fear they will vote out Ramses, instead
of Josh (those who follow the leader with Paul as their guru.)
I have to wonder, though, who their real target is?

I’m glad Cody is back since the Paul show is way too boring. I really didn’t want to see him in the HOH with Jess but that’s the way the chips fell. It shows Jess can win competitions.
Has anyone noticed there are a whole lot of Paul followers that do nothing. They don’t try and win anything and act like they are on vacation. Now they are upset Cody is back and their vacation might require some work. A really big group of floaters.
Paul is upset his rein as king may be threatened. How could CBS let this happen to him?
I’m looking forward to at the least the next 2 weeks.

Don’t like that Cody is back. Maybe they have played the maze before but I thought it was kind of unfair that Cody had just played the maze so kind of had the feel for what he was doing. I know they changed up the maze but they should have given Paul a practice run. Does that sound like I’m a Paul fan? 🙂

IDK, but I may be the only one who feels this way, which is okay
if that is the case. To me they keep changing the rules as they
go along. The first time the den of temptations was presented,
the note plainly implied they each would have a turn at being
tempted. Then it was four weeks. This last temp was supposed
to have been the last, but then Julie said one more week. Allison Grodner in her interview said the temps would last all summer.
HNs are chosen, but we don’t usually know how this is done or when. They did let us watch Paul gloatingly put Cody and Jess on the HN list. I think they may have shown Cody asking for volun-
teers and then having to pick.
For the first time the battle back was not just one comp, but three,
and the house got to choose whom they wanted to challenge Cody.
Of course it had to be Paul. There was no other outcome from this
group.
Cody was not given any protection for coming back in which prior
hgs that returned were given. What if it had been Cameron? Would
he have been hung out to dry with no protection, or would they have
suddenly slipped in some method for him to get at least one week’s
protection and said it was another stipulation to the curse?
For the first time we see someone who plainly should be at home
recovering from a serious injury and surgery be allowed to not only
return to the game, but be allowed to participate in the veto drawing
to only be put on the sidelines once the contest was started. They
have now supplied her with her own special scooter to get around.
I mean how many special advantages are they going to give Paul
and Christmas? When will (or will they ever?) the hgs decide
enough is enough? Right now they’re letting things slide as these
two are on their side with the numbers and the group is still large.
I think it shouldn’t be too long before they start really turning on
each other, but then they will all be on the jury and vote one of
their own the final prize. But then I’ve been wrong trying to guess
what BB is going to do next many times this entire game. (JMHO)

Sherry…yup… BB… it’s their show and they’re going to do what they want when they want and how they want… RULES BE DAMNED!!! This year’s Den of Temptation has made it ohhh soooo easy for manipulation. How i yearn for a straight up no-frills BB.

Julie said this curse is going to affect EVERY house guest, wouldn’t it be fun to see little PaulBot costumes to be worn for a week? That’s going to be my new name for them… PaulBots.

I think I read on this blog where someone said the real target is Matt. Why not Paul? Maybe they’re afraid he has some kind of protection. If it’s Matt I will be glad to see the orange muscle shirt go.

Junksies: Matt? I can’t figure that one out, either. I could see
Mark, but Matt is really friendly with Jess. In fact this entire
week he hasn’t been very far from her side every chance he got.
I’ve said from the start he has had a thing for her since day one.

I wonder if they didn’t get confused and meant Mark? I know
that Josh thinks Mark is the target. He’s been told that. From
whom and when, I have no idea. But the noms have been all over
the place this season. It’s been very hard for me to follow any
set plan of action. Perhaps because no plan seems to last for long
before changes are made????

I would love for it to be a mental comp and Ramses win it on his own. But like you said…. we can dream.

I saw that goodbye I am going to the DR kiss from Kevin to the girls. It was like he was kissing his polygamist wives before he went to work!!lol He tries to pull it all off as these KIDS are like his kids, but I think it’s a good excuse to mess around. Just sayin’. Yes, Karlla, it was my fault! When I make Chicken Parmesan, I fry the chicken in a frying pan, cover with the sauce and serve with spaghetti! The leather vest is ridiculous – Paul lives in LA – the show is in LA no need for a leather vest with a fur collar here – I start sweating every time I see him put it on – although it is better than looking at his ugly tattoos ugh!

Jessica just had a talk with Alex in what they call ‘the sex room’ to explain why she put up Josh and Ramses. Alex was not happy about the nominations and obviously Jess thinks Alex and Cowboy are on their side. She said that she had to get Josh out because he was taking her concentration off the game. That he is a distraction and she wants to be laser focused. Actually from Alex’s point of view that might be a reason to keep Josh! Jess asked that if Cowboy wins veto that he not use it so obviously they are not trying to backdoor Paul.

I don’t know the other players yet that were picked to play in the veto but at least we know one of them is Cowboy.

Mark and Cody seem as if they are reestablishing their bond. All the rest of the house is aware of this though. Matt just told Cody that he wants to work with him an Jess. It’s hard to listen to the two of them because they are crunching so loud!

Cody and Mark think they have the numbers to do what they want but Elena and Mark are being kept out of the loop. All the rest of the house is planning to vote out Ramses and keep Josh as a vote. This will really piss off Cody!

The other side of the house is talking about winning the next HOH and putting up Elena and Jess! If one of them win the veto replace them with Mark and Cody. Cody thinks Matt and Raven are numbers for them. Not so!

OMG Mark is so up Cody’s butt! It’s sickening to me but then again Mark is sickening to me. He’s such a wuss!

Reminds me of a story my mom told me…Her neighbor’s chickens kept coming into the yard and tearing up her flowers, and this is in the city mind you, not in the country. She finally went over to their house and threatened that if they didn’t keep those chickens out of her yard that she was going to fry them up for diner!!! Mom never saw another renegade chicken in her yard…
