@ Robert, I agree with you. I think Vanessa might not be a great player, she’s better than the other hg. I watched a couple youtubes of her playing against some really good poker players. She was a sound as can be. Big Brother is a whole different game than poker. There is no comparison to be made.

I think James made a big mistake by not taking Clay off the block and putting up either Vanessa or Liz. The game will still go on no matter who goes home. If we were in the ouse who knows what would be. After listening to Jeff talk about how different it is once you’re in the house opposed to watching the game, who are we to say.

Why would she not target Johnny.
He he is so likeable like Meg.

Steve is hard to figure out..is he a floater or is there truly something wrong with him. Sometimes I feel sorry for him.

Interesting what has been said about Vanessa. Last night on BBAD she was with no hat and her hair looked good. But every few words were #@*%, such a potty mouth! The twins also use the F word a lot, our education seems not be able to help add a larger vocabulary to the college educated folk. Bobovnvet, is there any odds at the Jersey casino’s of who we could bet on for the BB winner or if there is odds? Just wondering, as a long shot I would place money on Johnny Mac. Actually BB is a lot like poker. There are risks and moves that have to be calculated and done at the right time. If not, it then puts you in a bad situation or you might even lose and go home. I’ve said all along Vanessa is overrated and if she was playing in other seasons she would have probably already went home(except for maybe last year).

I disagree about Jmac as well. I think he’s a solid player who has been put in bad situations but thus far has survived. He knew if he didn’t throw a couple of those comps he was the next one going home. He threw them and survived and advanced. He knows the players on “his” side are not strong players so he has to be careful of what he says and any moves he might make. Also, he saw how the power structure at the time was winning every week so he smartly did as they asked. I think waiting in the wings has been a good strategy and got him to the jury. Now, he does need to step it up and win an HOH.

I’m not sure what is going to happen Thurs…which is kind of a nice twist!! lol For some reason, James thinks he has Austwins voting the way he wants…which is Shelli out. But they are voting the way Queen Van tells them to…which is Clay out!! James seems to think he can threaten the house into voting the way he, the great and terrible Oz…errr HOH…..wants them to. He has no power any longer! And he can’t play for HOH next week. So WHY would he HGS tremble and vote with the house???

I agree he should have put either Van or Liz up. But he wanted ONE of Clelli out no matter what!!! And i also think he wants this to be his BB legacy. Or a question on BB trivial pursuit!! Shelli in the house means that side stays in power and we have to watch her and Van win back to back HOHS all summer!! Clay in totally pisses her off….which I love…and I think he could be turned over to the other side with Meg, James and JM as they are all friends. Really the only HG he even talked to on HIS side was Shelli!!!

But it looks like Van is going to get her way. I haven’t been around all day so not up to date. SO unless anything earthshaking happened, I assume that status still holds. Rats!!

And look at Sylvie rubbing elbows with the rich and sorta famous!!!lol I think I heard her say something about living the way she did at home. So she must come from money too!! But I can tell she loves challenges and like a coupon clipper, likes to see how much she can get for free!!!! She said she’d do Survivor(had tried out) and definitely TAR, because you get a free trip around the world!!!! Yup. the girl doesn’t like boring or cheap. She may be hard to FLUSH out of the house!!! 😉

Goodness! Meg sure can’t hold her liquor. It’s like she was vaccinated with a phonograph
needle. She just keeps on talking and getting louder and louder. She would make a terrible
spy. All they would have to do is give her a glass of wine, and she’d tell them everything!

I had to shake my head in consternation at how Meg talked about floaters and doesn’t
seem to realize she’s one, too. Becky is the same, and Jackie hasn’t done anything spec-
tacular to eliminate herself as a floater, either. She has a mouth, but no action behind her words.

I think Johnnie Mac is a far stronger competitor than the house gives him credit. They
seem to have forgotten that he won when he had to save himself. But it’s time for him to
realize, he needs to start winning again to save himself. I don’t think he realizes yet what a
precarious position he is in at the moment. But of all the players, he is the most honest
and the player with the biggest heart and most empathy for others. I am hoping he wins
the next HOH.

I heard the HGs ridiculing Shelli for not allowing Clay to kiss her. Well, tonight she threw
that out the window. It was liplock session until the twins came outside.

It sounded like the twins are going to vote Shelli out and go with the house. Whether or
not they are able to convince Austin to follow in their footsteps is not decided, but I think
he’ll cave. Vanessa may find herself without any alliance to save her game. The twins are
not to be trusted, and she still hasn’t figured that out. Even Austin doesn’t see that they
will kick him to the curb in a New York minute and float with the rest of the house that’s in power. Two more floaters.

Johnnie Mac has hurt his game by spending so much time with Steve, but his heart can’t
allow him to let Steve be alone and snubbed by the entire house. Steve could be a much
better player than he has so far shown. If the HOH comp is about past seasons, he wins
hands down. I don’t think I’ve seen a HG with as much perfect memory about past seasons.
I have trouble remembering the players from just the past season!!

One thing’s for sure, Thurs. is going to be a good episode. The debate is happening at the
same time. Thanks goodness I have Hopper and can record the debate while I watch BB!!

What’s with the “I don’t want to get blood on my hands” every minute? They do know that they don’t have to actually kill anybody, right?

Great post as always Lisa. I think that if Van targets JohnnyMac that the house will turn against her. If he goes next week it will be Van up the week after. I agree that Shelli is the one that needs to go. Without her Clay is nothing but a floater.

Here is something to think about. Whoever gets voted out on Thur. they might go to jury because there are 11 people left in the house. If two people are left in the end, then that leaves 9 in the jury which they have to have an odd number to vote. So may be Clay or Shellie will end up in the jury house? Did the house guests not think about this?

Back on subject: I really believe that if Johnny could win HOH, he would really attempt to do some damage. I know he didn’t appreciate being used as a pawn for all those weeks, especially when they asked him to throw the POV! Really? I loved his remarks in the DR after that! “NO!!” 😉
Well, I think tomorrow night’s show will really turn the tide one way or the other. If they don’t vote out Shelli, I believe they will live to regret it. I can remember the regret in past season’s when they passed up a chance to evict someone and decided against it to their regret. Another game changer will be whoever wins HOH this week. I am really hoping Johnny will win or my next choice would be Jackie. I would hope neither of them could be swayed from their decisions. Well, I guess we will have to wait until Thursday night …. no spoilers here!

Vanessa thinks she has more power than she actually does.

The last 2 seasons of BB, the jury was 9 people. Here’s something I copied from a BB site to clear up the jury talk. I have no clue if they will go back to 7 or stay at 9 for this season. This just discussed what happened in seasons past.

“The Jury was introduced in Big Brother 2. The final seven evicted houseguests, not including the Final 2, are members of The Jury. They vote for the winner of Big Brother. Up until Big Brother 4, all the evicted houseguests voted for the winner of Big Brother. The Jury became only the final seven (not including the Final 2) houseguests because in Big Brother 3, Danielle Reyes lost the season because of her Diary Room confessions. Thus, The Jury and the Sequester House were born. In Big Brother 15 and Big Brother 16, it was changed back to a jury of nine. ”

@ Sirrock, I couldn’t agree with you more. How much or little money anyone has has nothing to do Big Brother. I really don’t understand what everyone hates about this one that one. There are only a couple of HG really “playing” the game and then they are hated on this board. I happen to think Vanessa is a very smart girl. She certainly hasn’t gotten to the level she’s accomplished by NOT only being ‘Lucky”. It doesn’t matter what any of us “can stand” about any of the HG, only how they are playing the game.

@ Janice D, thanks! Glad I’m not the only one. I agree with you, Vanessa is VERY smart and they all know it (HG’s and bloggers alike). I think her downfall is that she over thinks things, gets too in her head, and second, third, and fourth guesses every thought she has. That could be her downfall. I would love to see her in a different alliance with just one or two people.

Shelli is my best source of info regarding the makeup of the jury this season. Hence, I feel confident that the number will be 7 this year because Shelli is worried that she will not make jury if she goes out this week with 11 still in the house. So apparently production has revealed more to Shelli and other house guests than they have to us as is usually the case.

Jolee, I know what you mean about Jason but sadly, he didn’t play the game. His intuition was right on the money and he could have widely used that info to safe himself but he didn’t – he gave up. Omg! The shows on now and Shelli is crying about going on in the game without Clay- her ride or die- her rock- puhlease!!!!!!!!

I am so in a different ball park as the rest of you. I have been watching Vanessa playing in World Poker Tour for many years. She is very respected by her peers. Also —- wait for it—–

Some of my opinions were formed while watching BBAD on YouTube. Unfortunately, they stopped showing it after about episode 10, so I just depend on my fellow bloggers to keep us informed. I can’t even imagine just being able to watch the Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday shows. They are so edited in production’s favor, they only tell a small percentage of what goes on 24/7!! Did I miss something? What’s going on between Clay and Meg? Shelli sure isn’t going to like seeing that scene from the bathroom. I would love to be a fly on the wall when she watches it.

What is a Felon doing on the show in the first place. James should not be on the show. he needs to go and so does Austin. both guys are butts IMO. these people are not using their heads when picking people to evict. Only good players are Shelli, Clay, and the twins. and John.

Tonight’s show was predictable at best. I am looking forward to tomorrow and I hope, hope, hope John will win HOH because I think that would give us another exciting week. I also wondered what is going on with Meg and Clay! It’s one thing to give someone a comforting hug, but quite another to mail each other! I really think that Clay may start a second showmance with Meg if Shelli is sent home. And she will be watching it from home!!! Awkward!! I really hope he isn’t that dumb!!

Jani: How do you know James is a felon? I thought he worked three years for the
prison system, but not as a prisoner. What did I misunderstand?

Sirrock: I think you made some good points, but I think people have a natural tendency
to root for the underdog. You want the money to go to someone who really needs it, yet
you want the best game player to win, too. I personally don’t think any of this year’s cast
are exceptionally good game players. Van over thinks every move and gets easily upset
with the least little change in plans. Shelli can’t get over herself long enough to really
play the game. (Not counting the time involved with trying to make their showmance
succeed.) Everyone knows you never believe a deal will be legitimate. You win to save
yourself and those you care about or plan on losing. Steve is very bright, but socially
awkward and unable to communicate well with others. Meg isn’t good at comps or de-cision making, but laughs a lot and seems well liked. No game player, though. Becky is
up and down with her ability to play. James plays hard and thinks his moves over care-
fully, but has managed to offend most of the females in the house. Not smart. There are
no words to describe Austin’s actions in the house and inability to play with intelligence.
Liz is too mean spirited and talkative to do anything but ride on others’ coattails. Julia
hasn’t been there long enough to be fully understood as to what she’s capable of doing in
the game. Jackie, also, talks too much and sways from one side to the other. John has
played a quiet, laid back game, but intelligently wins when he has to. But he’s been off
kilter the past couple of weeks. He’s smart to limit game talk with the others. They have
no ammunition to use against him, except they consider him a floater. I think he’s a
sleeping giant who may come alive these few weeks. At least I hope to see that happen.
But these are only my own observations. I was pulling for Shelli, but after seeing tonight’s
episode, I can no longer continue doing that. Immediately she was of the opinion she would be the one to stay and Clay the one to go. She was rude to her alliance members and
tried blaming everyone but herself for her downfall. James at least takes responsibility for
his decisions and asks no one to share the blame. I like that in him.

jolee: No. I have never wanted to mess with it. I tried for two weeks and gave up.
I couldn’t even figure out what a “wall” was suppose to be. Then a friend got her
house broken into by someone on facebook. So decided they could just prop me up
in a corner of the museum for dinosaurs and be done with it.
