Hi, everyone!
Well, I am just sitting here and sighing with frustration. On the one hand, I can’t help but be happy that this season has finally started to get interesting. The houseguests seem to have finally figured out that they’re on Big Brother, which means that they have to plot and scheme and deal and fight and win.
On the other hand, my favorite HG appears to be in some trouble. Listen, I know that Johnny Mac is not exactly the greatest player in the history of the game. But he’s fun to watch, he’s likable, he’s got a big personality and it’s hard not to feel that the show would be a lot less entertaining without him.
But, it looks like John is in trouble. He was talking to Becky earlier today and he told her, “If Shelli goes home on Thursday, I have to pull out a W.” And yes, that’s true. There’s a new power alliance emerging in the Big Brother House and sadly, John is not a member of it.
As of right now, it appears that Shelli will be going on Thursday. James told Vanessa that he, Meg, and Jackie would vote to keep her if she could get the votes of Austin and the twins. Vanessa, of course, scurried off to Austin and made the deal. So now, it appears that Vanessa is safe. And everyone knows about the plan, except for Becky, John, Steve, and Shelli.
(James says that they’ll tell Becky on Thursday morning. I’ll be surprised if Vanessa can stay silent long enough to keep Becky from finding out before then.)
Several side deals were made. The big one was that Vanessa promised not to target James, Meg, and Jackie. So, if Vanessa somehow wins HoH during the double eviction and stay true to the deal, that seriously reduces her options for who she can nominate. I doubt she would nominate Austin or the twins. And Steven is her little puppy dog. So, that means that she would probably nominate Becky and John.
James also made a final 6 deal with Austin (BLEH!). That final 6: James, Austin, Meg, Jackie, Liz, and Julia. That leaves Vanessa, Becky, John, and Steve on the outside of the main alliance.
And again, this is the way that Big Brother was meant to be played. But still, I’m a little sad to see that John is on the outside and Austin on the inside.
However, alliances chances on a dime in the Big Brother House. I can easily imagine both Austin and James going back on their word. So, hope is not lost!
But, right now, it does appear that Shelli will be the first member of the jury and Vanessa will survive for at least one more week.

Thanks LM. I sure hope JM stays safe…he is my absolute favorite. I wonder if that new alliance will happen though; Vanessa has some sort of command over Austin & the twins. Funny thing is that those 3 yield a lot of power just because they add numbers to either alliance as they float to & fro. That sums up their combined skill set. looking forward to Thursday….the time has come to win JM!!

Say it isn’t so. Got to keep Johnny Mac. Guy is funny. Fun loving. And a good guy. But like the author says excusing the misspelling “alliances changes on a dime”. Let’s hope so for J-Macs sake. Go Johnny Go..but not to jury house.

I agree about Johnny Mac. I really enjoy the guy. He’s fun. Don’t think I would want him for a dentist but he is entertaining.
I also agree with Courtney about the alliances. Do you think any of them can be trusted. It changes depending on who’s in trouble and who is strong.

I think Becky already knows about Vanessa staying. From what I’ve read, she is now trying to change James, Meg, and Jackie’s back to voting out Vanessa but their not going to do it.

Thanks Lusa for a great blog and I wholeheartedly agree with you – I’m living all this scheming – it’s finally big brother. Actually I’m kind of liking the make up of house guests this season, some more than others. None seem to be extremely immature or mean or anything. Those who are left, for the most part, seem to have settled down and playing the game.

One of the Comps should be memory of items in the house. JohnnyMac is mostly likely to win it and Steve is capable. The AusTWINS certainly can’t and I doubt any of the goblins can neither. Tomorrow night is a MUST SEE for sure. Hold on, it’s gonna be a wild ride.

I was hoping that having Shelli and Vanessa on the block together would lead to the two of them going into a fully exposed fang mode but it has turned out to be total dud except for alliance vote flip flops and Vanessa’s boo hoo antics. Maybe a better duo on the block together would be Meg and Jackie the see how even more senseless Meg would become when her Dutch Boy shrouded head is finally blown out of Jackie’s ass where it has found shelter for far too long.

I hate to see Becky thrown to the curb, because she trusted the disloyal.
Steve has grown on me, as well. I can only hope that I am not disappointed in the winner of tomorrow’s DEv. HOH or the one after that. Steve needs to up his game to help JMc and Becky. If any of the other 7 get HOH I am not going to do much rooting for any of them, but
I’ll still watch and complain, because it’s BB. And I’ll keep hoping none of the 7 make it

Wow – I am getting dizzy from all of this switch up. The HGs change alliances more than I change my underwear! The only outcome that would make me happy is to see Shelli AND Vanessa go and the other one I would be happy with is getting rid of Austin! I am looking forward to seeing Vanessa getting picked to replace Steve tonight, but I really can’t wait for tomorrow and see what REALLY happens. The LFS were burning up this afternoon! Most gameplay in the house is reserved for late nite/early morning. But everyone is in little groups whispering game. Suddenly the Gremlins are the Godfathers of the house and everyone keeps coming to their HN room for advice or gossip. It seems that they are still with Becky, so I’m not so sure she is the other target this week. JM is wandering around asking people if he can be on their *team*. Hardly the word and hardly the time! Why wasn’t he forging relationships week ago? the HGS are all wondering what is up with him as he seems to get called into the DR a lot…he goes to bed every nite at midnite( I wondered where he was on BBAD) and then gets up in a few hours and talks to Steve until morning. He is just being his weird self I think, but they see something sketchy going on.

She said me too and went to go up to her HOH room and Shelli followed her right behind. She keeps asking what is going on and WHY would people vote her out over Van when she is alone now and Van as the Twintins….their version of the Austwins. Becky is just trying to double talk her or tell her she doesn’t know. But Shelli aint budging!! She said earlier she was SO sick of being HOH!! She can’t wait for Thurs!!lol
The plan is for the Brass Tacks to make it past the DE and then pick off the last 4….Van, Becky, John and Steve. But..the best laid plans…..;)

Robert, I understand your frustration and normally would agree with you about floaters.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------But this season for me has been different. Not only are there mostly floaters, rather than game players, but I’ve found the cast not very likeable. Thus, I think likeability has overcome my natural antipathy towards floaters. I don’t like James, Meg, Vanessa, Jackie, Austin, or the twins (Julia in particular) all that much. I’m up and down about Shelli, Steve, and Becky. But Johnny Mac has won me over personality wise. He doesn’t go around saying really unkind things about everyone else in the house; he took Steve under his wing because he was having problems with his social game; he’s been loyal to those who have been loyal to him. He is really the only one who’s shown true loyalty throughout the game. So call me a pushover. For once I would like someone who really is a good guy to win. That might make me less of a game player and more of a soft touch, but he’s been the one enjoyable part of this season for me. I am only talking about myself and cannot speak for anyone else.

This BB season is a yawn fest. Seriously I am trying so hard to pull for someone but they are all so boring.

Locked up in a house with no 1 to distract you sometimes helps you to get pass a person’s looks. Austin seems to have a sweetness that is unfolding (way too slowly). That Judas persona sucks though. Johnny mac is such a goof ball, just can’t believe he’s a dentist. Who do I like……none have my hopes up at all. Any bodies game. But to me ole James seems to have a little game in his play.

If Shelli and Vanessa are voted out this week that leaves us with Jackie, whose only real ability seems to be to float through the house in a maxi dress and pageant hair. Meg, whose claim to fame is getting through the entire summer with one single shade of lipstick (which always seems to stay on; I need that brand, just not that color, thank you); Steve, the superfan who seems to believe his knowledge of the game has floated him into being a target for everyone. I don’t think we have enough Windex to clean the mirror he’s looking at himself through.
We are also left with the Austwins, that strange love/anti-love triangle with the jealous twin. Now there were some power moves… Oh, no, wrong people. Just sheeple there.
So who’s left? Becky, surprisingly independent. Johnny Mac, a low key but not unintelligent player, and James, who started out strong and dwindled into trying to camouflage himself from being put on the block.
Personally I would like to see Vanessa gone. Period. I’m tired of her histrionics and paranoia. Neither of them serve her well and it’s wearing on me. Shelli is a pretty strategic player, despite the loss of her Candy Man. I’d like to see some form of Shelli, Johnny Mac, and Becky at the end. Maybe with James as a substitute fit one of the three. They’ve all played the game well in some form.

Vanessa just told Steve and Liz she loves them with hugs and is fishing for whether or not she is safe. Now Steve, V, & L are asking each other memory questions…

I guess BB told someone in a DR session that Thursday’s HOH comp would be a memory comp on past comps. Everyone seems to be cramming for that kind of comp. But am really confused about why Becky was helping James, Meg, and Jackie??? Big mistake, my lady. I hope Johnny Mac wins the comp and is HOH. Then we’ll see what happens to the new six. No one seemed to be helping or including Shelli, so she must know she’s going home. I would like to see BB have a totally different comp that none of them are expecting. At least that would lend some excitement to the downhill thrust of the game. I hate predictability in a game that is suppose to have us expecting the unexpected.

@Sherry – The HG’s were shown some sort of videos that will be part of tomorrow’s HOH comp. The Goblins/Gremlins/Godfathers/& Stooges (take your pick) were in HOH studying and Shelli was with them as well, which surprised me cuz I thought she was with the dark side of the house. At one point Vanessa told Austin to go up there to interrupt their study session. And he did. Van is a dirty sneaky low-down lying player, which is okay, but only if you own it instead of acting squeaky clean. Grrrr!!!

Just a silly observation of BB favoritism…??… The house has been asking for take out, they want In & Out really bad, but so far BB has not given in to their request. Last week the house was provided 2, I repeat 2, take out meals and the lucky Have Not recipients were the Austwins!!…leaving this week’s Have Nots, the Goblins in the lurch!!

I don’t understand how one day(Monday) everyone fully got what Becky was saying and trying to do about Vanessa, then less than 24 hours later completely do a 180. I know people will say it’s Vanessa and her game, which is partly true, but all she did was what she has done all summer and is exactly why Becky and the other side of the house all agreed to get her out. So you agree to get her out and are telling everyone she has to go, then on cue, Vanessa does exactly all the reasons why you wanted to get her out??? This is crazy. You’ll vote out Clay over Shelli, but not Vanessa over Shelli?? Imbeciles.

She plays dirty and has all along. Due to the lack of fans for her, at least on this blog, it
seems we prefer a good game player that plays the game clean. I was not a Dan fan be-cause of the way he played. His first season I liked him better than following seasons. Trickery and lying is acceptable in this game, but it can really get dirty and hateful. Especially when dirty tactics are used by someone who isn’t all that likeable. Grrrr, too.

Good Morning! I just started watching BBAD & if tonight is, indeed, a memory comp. it’s a shame that Becki can’t play as her attention to detail is quite impressive. It should be interesting to see how Vanessa fares since I would imagine poker players are wired with powers of keen observation. And jMac is intelligent so it should be a close battle, if nothing else, fun to watch!!
