Bonjour, y’all!
Now, you guys know that I like Cody. Even as everyone else has turned against him, I’ve occasionally defended him. Even when he was repeatedly accused of being a floater (which he is), I still defended him because — even if it doesn’t make for satisfying television — floating is as legitimate a strategy as any other. But, I have to be honest — the main reason I defended Cody is because he’s hot. It really has nothing to do with him as a player. In fact, it really doesn’t have much to do with him as a person, either. I mean, Cody may be nice to look at but I doubt that he’s a very interesting conversationalist. I guess what I mean to say is that Cody has never exactly come across as being the smartest guy in the BB house.
(And I’m not even going to get into his relationship with Christine…BLEH!)
But, apparently, this week, Cody has finally woken up. No, he hasn’t realized that Derrick is using him and no, he hasn’t figured out that Frankie is obviously this season’s production favorite. He hasn’t even realized that Christine is pretty much a useless ally. But he has woken up enough to finally start winning competitions.
Now, we haven’t seen the HoH or the veto competition yet so we don’t know what Cody had to do to win BOTH of those comps. It could very well be that either Derrick or Frankie decided to throw the comps at the last moment because neither one wanted to get blood on their hands. (Derrick has the luxury to do that because he knows that, regardless of who the HoH is, he’ll never be nominated.) So, I don’t want to make too big a deal about Cody’s victories until I know for sure how he got them.
But, ultimately, what’s important is that Cody did win HoH and he did win the veto competition and right now, he is technically the most powerful person in the house. (I say technically because he’s still pretty much just doing whatever Derrick tells him to do.) Cody has nominated Donny and Nicole for eviction and it would appear that Donny is the target. Earlier today, Cody and Derrick did briefly discuss the possibility of backdooring Frankie but I doubt it’s going to happen. For whatever reason, Derrick is massively paranoid about Donny. He and Frankie have been looking for a chance to vote out Donny since the game began and my instinct tells me that they’ll finally get that chance on Thursday.
But, hey, at least Cody decided to invite Nicole and Donny to take part in a reward with him. Apparently, as a result of winning the veto, Cody also won the opportunity to watch the first episode of the new CBS series, Scorpion. Myself, I would be a little bit upset with that award. I would probably be saying, “I’d rather watch a real movie instead of a TV show that really doesn’t look like it’s going to be that good.” But you can be sure that Cody, Nicole, and Donny will all go into the Diary Room and talk about how much they loved watching Scorpion. CBS is promoting that show with all their might (there’s usually about three commercials for it during every episode of Big Brother) and you can bet that the houseguests will do their part.
That’s kind of been the problem with this season, hasn’t it? Everyone’s just doing their part. No one is thinking independently.
Finally, Victoria did faint earlier today. She was taken out of the house, she got an IV, and apparently she met a cute medic and you know what? Good for her. She should get something out of this experience because she certainly isn’t going to win the money. Anyway, Victoria is back in the house now and is apparently doing much better.
I wonder if they’re going to show Victoria fainting on the CBS show? You know that if they do, Jocasta is probably going to feel obligated to faint in the jury house.

I’d like to fantasize that while up watching that show, Cody and Nicole and Donnie all talked game but fat chance. Odd that he picked them considering he just nominated them, right? .. IF ONLY …. (a girl can dream, right?) How is it that nobody seems to notice Derrick has never been on the block while everyone else has? Don’t get me wrong – Derrick is playing a great game! this guy has smarts just OOZING out of him! Only difference between him and Donnie is that Derrick made sure he had allies & stratagized and Donnie just rolled with the punches. Hate to see Donnie go but doesn’t look like there’s any possible hope for him at this point which is sad considering it’s right after someone he could align with & trust coming back into the house.. Nicole sadly will then be completely on her own unless the others wake up between now and then and realize they are on the Frankie& Ariana Grande promotional show and playing the Derrick game (being basically on a sinking ship as far as there being any hope of any of them winning as long as Derrick is still in the house. As much as I’d have loved to see either Nicole or Donnie win, Derrick has certainly earned his stripes as a mastermind of the game & I cant deny that he would deserve to win over any of his blind followers. But hate the predictability at this point. It’s like he already won but they’re dragging it out making us watch the brutal step by step taking down of everyone else in the house. Ugh .. (no jolts. no surprises. all roads lead to Derrick at the finish line)

I somewhat like Cody but him being all over every girl ESPECIALLY Crustine has ruined him. And that he is allowing Derrick (like everyone else this season) run his HOH. I do like that he invited the 2 people he nominated to view it with him even if it is for what looks like to be a stupid show.
I just wish he would wake up and put up either Derrick or Frankie. But we all know that will NEVER happen.
I just don’t get why everyone is so afraid of Donny (Devin started that stupid mess). And the minions believe it – what a stupid bunch this year.
Last year was bad enough with the HGs being racist and filthy as can be. But this year you have nasty people a married woman all over a guy and him allowing and Frankie who thinks no matter who HOH is its HIS room.
I am proud of Cody for not letting him run him out of the HOH room like Crustine did.
If I were in the house I would not let anyone run my HOH even if my husband came in with me.
AND NO ONE BUT MY HUSBAND would be in the room with me. They want the room then they need to earn it. NOT take it over.
I just wish Cody would grow a pair and get Frankie OUT. I bet his family is so proud of him. IF I were his sister I would distance myself from him. I read earlier he was saying how big his balls are and showed everyone. I would be MORTIFIED to let anyone know I was related to a person like that.
Production must be so proud of themselves for letting him in there. He is WORSE then Amanda from last season. I did not think I would ever be able to say that about anyone but seems like Frankie and she might be related.

Welp, it looks like everyone’s favorite, Donny, is a goner. He’s a hell of a guy and was able to pull of some big, life saving Veto wins, but he’s toast. Or is he? I guess production told Donny that this weeks TA mission is to pick their own mission and America will vote to see if they liked it enough to award them the $5k. Donny took the opportunity to tell Derrick they should do a “save Donny” mission. Derrick didn’t seem too keen on it. I wonder if this is even real. There was no TA mission even brought up on Thursday. I’m guessing this is productions attempt to try and help Donny stay in the game. I guess we’ll see if what they say about it on Sunday.
Victoria’s situation was pretty shocking. I don’t really care for her as a player and if I was in the house, I don’t think she’d be my buddy, but when someone has a health issue, I feel for them. I was reading on some other facebook pages and blogs about the incident and I couldn’t believe the negativity coming from people. Don’t get me wrong, I know how trolls on the internet work, but man, its just sad to see what some people say. I’m all for a sarcastic comment or a smart ass joke to be funny, but it wasn’t like that at all. I mean, it isn’t like she blew a comp…..by all means make fun of that! But to see the pics of her collapsed in the bathroom…man, that’s no joke. On a stranger note, someone posted a pic of Derrick giving Victoria a hug ( I’m assuming after she returned from getting checked out by the medic ) and the photo looks as if they were kissing. I mean, I clearly could tell that wasn’t the case, but SO MANY people were thinking Derrick is kissing her and cheating on his wife and blah blah blabidey blah blah. The dude shows some compassion and his loyalty to his wife is questioned. I get the whole Cody/Christien thing has people looking at that stuff, but come on. I guess my point is, people get so carried away with things that they don’t even know what’s true or not. OK, off my soap box.
On a much lighter note, that reward for the CBS show Scorpion sounds kind of like a dud, and a total advertising opportunity, but I look at it a little different. I’m a TV junkie. I’d like to think I watch good shows, depending on who you ask, and may even give Scorpion a shot. That said, if I was in the BB house with no TV for 60 days, I’d be jumping out of my shorts to watch a frickin’ test pattern, much less Scorpion. (Kids, ask your parents what a test pattern is. 😉 ) Beggars can’t be choosers. But a movie would have been way cooler.

I don’t think Cody ever had the idea to backdoor Frankie. I thunk Production told him to throw something out there so that the viewers don’t feel like everything is predictable.

I wouldn’t mind if they were playing the game with decency, but it is EXTREMELY difficult havibg a front row see to bullying and watching the bullies gain power week after week. If I were Nicole, I wouldn’t have wanted to go back in that house and be subjected to them. Money isn’t everything. However, just like Caleb decided to sit out of a comp, I say the jury should decide to sit out on a vote at the end.

My two cents. Scorpion looks good. Without tv for that long I would be jonesing to watch anything. Glad Victoria is alright. Big Brother is all about who can make it to the end. Players have different ways to do that. Some float, some bully, some make it by winning comps. I can’t say I am happy about Donny going this week because I really wanted NICE to have a chance at the end. OH well.

I still think a cool idea is to have BB create a ‘Team Saboteur’, where we upset the house in sending in, many times, a guy dressed so no one knows who they are, at night, to have all the lights cut off so it’s completely dark, and have him, with night vision spray, “We’re here”, “Wrong”, “Saboteur”, “So close, Yet So Far”, “You’ll Never Figure It Out”, “There’s A Liar Among You”, “Ha, Ha, He, He, You’ll Never Catch Me!”, “Expect The Unexpected”, etc.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Put doubt, and make sure you do it, with Team America able to realize it’s not them…Have them guessing, and maybe that will help Donny.
The only other thing Donny has, is confessing to Cody that Derrick & Frankie are in a secret alliance that has earned them money already.
Other than the ‘back door’, of sending someone out that doesn’t even need the money, but there for the publicity and talking about his homosexuality all the time, there are those that really could use the money.
I like Derrick. I think he has been one of the best at putting ideas in peoples heads, and making them think they came up with it.
If Donny goes home, Christine has to know she’s probably next on the list, while Victoria sits in pain.
I can’t figure Victoria out, either she’s the dumbest player…or the most deceiving to make it look like she’s no threat, with crying, complaining. Remember what she did to Zach’s game when she ripped up her own baseball cap. That really messed him up.
At that point BB has only one chance to save the boring nights, by Nicole winning HOH.
I would put Frankie and Beast Mode up, because both of them don’t really need the money. Frankie has shared he’s donating what he wins, and Caleb’s family owns tons of land and businesses. It seems he’s already marketing hunting companies, representing products for bodybuilding, his hunting company and the trade mark ‘Beast Mode Cowboy”. If his dad is smart, he already copyrighted it legally.
Derrick is a cop and providing for his family, putting his life on the line
Donny might have a job when he comes back to be a groundskeeper. Remember, school has started, so they already hired someone else.
Christine is married with children, so I can see her need also.
Nicole. I’d just like to see someone who played with integrity win, and she is the one with the most still in the game.
Cody? I’m not quite sure what he has in need. Sounds like his family is well off, and he has been taken care of, so I’d like to see him be eliminated.
I do remember, in past BB, when the person evicted, couldn’t open the door…and Julie pops up and says, “House-guests, expect the unexpected…No one is going home tonight.” I would add to this week, “But you did just nominate the new Head of Household. Congratulations Donny!” THAT WOULD PUT A SHOCKER IN ALL OFF THEM!

The last few seasons, I’ve been more interested in what will happen to the Hamsters after they leave the house. Like past Hamsters who lost their jobs while on the show, or whether showmances would survive outside of the game. This year, I want to know what happens to Christine’s marriage when she gets home, if Zach will ever find a job and what Jocasta’s congregation will think of her now. I just do not care right now who wins the money.

Others here have said that Victoria wisdom teeth are impacted. Having had the same problem, with pain, I can tell you the symptoms were very painful. From her complaining, they may be the case.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------If I recall correctly, she has complained of ear aches, a hard time chewing her food, as well as swelling of her cheeks. All of these, and much worse symptoms, describe an impacted wisdom tooth, a tooth that is late coming out, and either can easily come out behind back teeth…or painfully between teeth.
If this is the case, she probably won’t be in the house much longer. This could also take away ANYONE being evicted this week.
That could make for an interesting spin.
If she is going through this (bad timing), it would effect anybodies game dealing with this.
I don’t pay for any of the ‘extra’ 24 hr stuff, so maybe someone here knows more already.

Tuna, You’re right on the money. A great show would be what happened to BB winners losers, fan favorites. Keep Alison G’s hands off it as she would paint a picture less than a reality TV show. But how was money spent and did a relationship succeed or fail. Other questions may also be answered. But I guess that would be like putting BB under a larger Dome.

I was rooting for Nichole like crazy but it looked like she kept selecting “35” every other answer within the same question. She is a fellow nurse but with NO critical thinking skills in critical situations. Everyone else developed a system and remembered their answers enough not to repeat them.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------In Cody’s room he offered her safety to help go after Donny. Nichole argued that she is close do Donny. Nichole is a MEATHEAD and they horrible way she lingers/hangs on with the letter “A ” when she talks is crazy making.

It must be difficult producing a show that runs in nearly real time. You may think going in you know what the narrative will be, who will be the stars, what the fans will care about. For Big Brother 16, Alison Grodner and the rest of the behind-the-scenes players had their story going in – pop star Ariana Grande’s brother and YouTube personality Frankie was going in cognito with his secret identity. Secondary stories were sweet Duck Dynasty-bearded groundskeeper Donny and police sergeant Derrick (hiding his profession).
Let’s admit it. Casting for a reality TV show is a crap-shoot. Someone who looks great in their interviews turns into a dud (aka PowPow who was more like meow meow). Some story lines don’t pan out (Christine the super fan became Christine the literal hanger-on). And then there’s Zach Rance, or ZachAttack as he’s now known.
Cast as a Dr. Will wannabe, Zach was some background noise at first. He was given a few seconds to do his “I hate everyone” bit then was moved off screen for the main stories. And then Zach and the star of the show Frankie started Zankie and now the powers-that-be were interested in the will-they-or-won’t-they showmance. That became the new lead story. Zankie was everywhere; even Ariana tweeted about them. Julie Chen asked questions about them. Tribute videos exploded and all eyes were on the two.
But CBS mistakenly thought all this interest was because of Frankie and missed that a new BB star was born right before their eyes. Zach is watchable. You can’t take your eyes off of him. Cody may be the cute one, Caleb the body, but Zach is the one who captures your attention. The unpredictable outbursts, the joie de vivre, the catch phrases and poems made Zach the one you cared to see what he’d do next. His excitability, his spontaneity, and his enthusiasm captured the fans’ imaginations.
Only one problem emerged. Zach and Frankie had a falling out. Frankie targeted Zach, then Zach targeted him, and the showmance became a flop. How to deal with this? CBS could air what really went down, or they could devise a poor Frankie and Derrick narrative. Suddenly, it was the 31-year-old former dancer accusing Zach of taking money away from needy Africans and the 30-year-old former undercover cop telling Zach he was taking food out of his daughter’s mouth. If you watched the live feeds, you heard Frankie talk about euthanizing Zach, putting the baby to sleep and then stabbing it. But that didn’t make the show. On the feeds, you saw Derrick threaten to choke Zach out and break every bone in his jaw. But that didn’t make the show.
Nothing negative that Frankie or Derrick said was shown; instead they were painted as reluctant heroes trying to save the alliance from the volatile Zach. The home viewers didn’t see them plant seeds in Victoria and Christine’s minds that Zach was a danger to them. They didn’t see how Derrick made false allegations about Zach being a threat to Frankie’s safety. The producers tried their best to make Zach the goat, solely responsible for his own downfall. They must have hoped this would keep their Team American trio, and especially Frankie, safe for weeks to come.
What they couldn’t have imagined was the groundswell of support for Zach. Never before in BB history has one houseguest become the center of such a large social media movement. When his fans thought Frankie had violated house rules telling Zach he was nominated, “Renom Rules” trended on Twitter. Before the eviction vote, #SaveZach was as ubiquitous as #ZachAttack. Past houseguests from the godfather of them all Dr. Will to Dan Gheesling tweeted their appreciation and support of Zach. Ariana Grande, and her mother Joan, even tweeted out support for Zach and their wishes that Frankie would come to his senses before it was too late. As Big Brother co-producer Chris Roach tweeted last week: “I get the sense a lot of people wish they had voted #BBZach to be a part of Team America.”
Zach said often in the BB house that he hoped he’d have 79K Twitter followers by the time he exited the BB house; as of today he has 115K for an idle account that has just one tweet from two years ago. His Instagram has 188K followers. “Froot Loop Dingus” has entered BB parlance as a new favorite phrase. The episode where he was evicted was the season’s highest rated episode.
CBS let a star slip through their fingers and will continue to shove Frankie, and to a lesser extent eventual winner Derrick, down our throats. But we will miss the former frat boy from South Florida with loose lips, questionable dance moves, and more personality than the rest of the house combined. We can’t wait for BBAllStars2 and the return of Zach Rance, who came into the house to be hated and to win $500K and failed on both accounts.

Just decided to watch Big Brother After Dark, just to see, quickly, if anything was happening…and it opened with Frankie putting a bra on and dressing in drag…

I hope THAT was enough to have Cody, since he won POV, to take down Donny, and put up Frankie. Enough is enough.
Gonna flip through what I’ve dvr’d quickly, if this is what BB has turned in to.
