Hi, everyone!
I hope you all will be able to forgive me but I’ve got some personal things that I have to deal with today so this is going to be a very short post. I’m just going to let you know what has happened in the house since last night’s episode and I’ll save the analysis for another day.
Okay, as we all know — Amber got voted out. She did not get a single vote. Even Caleb — after having been told that Amber was thinking of coming after him — voted to evict her. And, just in case you needed another reason to lose all respect for Caleb, he also made a big deal of putting a crown on his head and declaring himself to be the king of the house.
However, it looks like the king is getting close to being dethroned.
Donny and Nicole won the HoH Competition!
Donny nominated Caleb and Victoria for elimination.
Nicole nominated Zach and Jocasta for elimination.
(Zach, incidentally, volunteered to be nominated. I’m assuming that he thinks he can win the Battle of the Block.)
Battle of the Block will be fought later today!
Finally, next Thursday is a double eviction night! Now, hopefully, this double eviction will go better than last year’s double eviction. Last year, as I’m sure we all remember, saw the perfectly harmless Judd voted out of the house because Amanda was convinced that he was the MVP and Helen kept telling Aaryn that she was now Janelle. Yeah, it was not a great moment in Big Brother history. Hopefully, this year, the Double Eviction will actually mean something.
Also, I’m going to make a prediction that this is the last week that we’ll have two HoHs. With a double eviction scheduled for next week, I just don’t see how they’ll have time to do a Battle of the Block along with the vote, the HoH comp, the nominations, the veto, the next vote, and a second HoH comp.

TY Lisa for the updates. Aren’t those nominations what Hayden suggested to Donny and Nicole? Why can’t they think for themselves and play their own game. Now I’m disappointed in Donny. He’s too smart for that. It might be the right choice if they plan a bd but whoever wins veto needs to use it in order to bd somebody like Frankie. That’s who needs to go.
Christine is harmless. Frankie plays with people too much. I want to see Zach play his own game.

Frankie is the MOLE of the house!! If they’re smart they will get him out asap if not sooner. The fact that Amber didn’t rat anybody out says a lot about her and of course they wouldn’t want someone with integrity in the house!! I am team Donny all the way!! Zach just keeps digging his grave deeper and deeper. His goal needs to get in the jury house cuz that will be the extent of his BB staycation!!

Keith..I agree! Listening to Donny,Hayden and Nic talking game last night, anything that might get blood on Donny’s hands, he didn’t want to do. He refused to put frankie up if he stayed HOH so he is hoping that Nic keeps the title so he can just go back to his soliude. He told them last night that he had been almost crying earlier that day, thinking why did he go there and waste his summer being with all those KIDS?? Seriously??? Hey Superfan…it’s always KIDS! With maybe 2 people over 30 and one in their 40’s. That’s the formula. If that didn’t applea to you, why didn’t you stay home and watch it with your GF? Look at Jerry from S10. He got on my fricken nerves, but he stayed until F3 and never complained about being there! And he had to be in his late 60’s!!! At least! I kind of lost respect for Donny listening to him whine and try to get out of any responsibilities. He finally got HOH but all he really wanted was his stuff from home, not to play the game.
I hope Nic wins HOH and makes a big move. Courageous thing would be to put Frankie up but I think he has the votes to stay and then she would be toast!! Should be interesting……or should I say i HOPE it is because MAN we need it!!lol

I think Caleb will end up being the back door target, only because it’s so damn predictable. Frankie would be a big move to get out. He’s got a lot of game and he’s pretty good at hiding it. I wonder if Derrick is even on Donny or Nicole’s radar? He should be.
I agree with LM. I cant see how they do all those comps, as well as two live votes in one show. This is probably the last double HOH…which is fine.
I really cant wait for the Veto, that’s gonna be huge this week.
I hope Donny stays HOH, and has to put up another nomination. He almost needs to get forced into playing this game. If he isn’t on the block, or now an HOH, he would do nothing at all. Like him or not, he’s a floater. Bring it Donny! Fire up!

Old business: I think CBS changed BB from Tues when NCIS LA came on..they wanted it to follow NCIS…this fall the New Orleans NCIS will be there at 9PM so I don’t know where the LA one will end up. The old 3 CSI shows were all on different nights. I hate that CBS has Thursday night football…those belong on the sports channels. sorry, just my opinion.

Everyone is doing well and they say, “Hey.” Been talking to Penny, Ma, and Tommy a lot. Your house, yard, and chicken truck are all in good shape. Bear and Josie miss you. They can’t wait for belly rubs (woof, woof). I’m still going to the gym a couple days each week and to the pool on weekends but neither one is fun without you. I get bored and lonely. Watching some fireworks with the dogs this week but it’s not the same without you, either (wink).
Been going to Albemarle on weekends to look at houses and to visit Ma, Penny, and Tommy. Been getting some good home cooked meals, too. Narrowing down the list of houses for when you get back. I miss you so much. I miss your kisses, holding your hand, your touch, your hugs, and your massages with those wonderful hands. I miss snuggling with you and lying next to you. I miss the way you smell. Since you’ve been gone I have realized that there is an emptiness in my life and a void in my heart without you here. You complete me and make me whole. Wow, love the letter that Donny got. so touching. I hope that Nicole bd’s Frankie or Derrick, but I doubt she will bd Derrick, because they made a deal to work together when they were both hoh’s. So we will see how much Derrick gets in her face if she tells him she wants to bd Frankie. Will just have to wait and see what happens. I hope that whoever wins the veto takes Jocasta (even though she deserves to go home), that way their will be Frankie and Zack on the block. That leaves Derrick, Cody, Caleb and possible Christine to vote to keep Frankie and Victoria, Hayden, Donnie and possible Christine ( she is working with the guys and with Hayden and Nicole), to vote to kick Frankie out, so who know what Christine will do. By the way she was talking she wanted to show the guys that she is not a floater so who knows what she is going to do. I think I got all of them, let me know what you all think of this. PatRose, my son and family are on the western border of Winston Salem. It’s beautiful there and I couldn’t believe the price they paid for the house they have. It’s amazing. That house built here in Dana Point would cost near $1M depending on ocean view, etc. Still it would be triple what they paid. Amazing.
Star, I agree with everything you said and with so many other comments. Donny shouldn’t be there at all, he’s a loser and is NOT playing the game. IMO of course. Nice guy, no game at all. He won’t put up someone just because he likes them or what? He’s really nice but that doesn’t work if you want to win in this game. Why did he even apply? That’s the question for me. He should just self-evict so he can go home and go swimming and watch fireworks and give massages and whatever with his girlfriend. At least he’ll be doing something.
It would be great to see Zach take a walk. He’s not funny and even if Frankie does go, I don’t think it will change who he is. He said he was the smartest one in the house and would win HOH, well that didn’t happen even tho I do think he has some brains somewhere. He’s mean spirited. I don’t really have a fav this year as they are all kinda boring and not really playing the game except for the boys + one alliance. The + one is debatable.

I completely lost what little respect I had for Donny and his game when he made it clear that he could never put anyone as “verbal” as Zack on the block. Geez. What’s he going to do, Donny, talk you to death? Donny had already disgusted me by refusing America’s Team challenge. Wuss. He blew $5,000 for the team and possibly a little excitement in the house because he couldn’t trust Derrick and Frankie to handle the blame game. And he and Nicole had a discussion and chose players so Donny would have the least chance of remaining HOH for the week. Talk about sending a girl to do a man’s job! At least Nicole is stepping up, so far. I hope Donny leaves very soon. My tolerance for both he and Caleb is over.

I said a few days ago it would be great to see Donny & Nicole win the HOHs and they did which shows they are TRUE competitors & SUPER FANS. I will love to see who wins BOtB. Zack getting stuck with Jocosta and Caleb stuck with Victoria BUT I hate to see those women whining AGAIN. UGH Cant wait to see them go. They are both HORRIBLE competitors and the ONLY way they get off the block is someone taking them off or their partners to have to do all the work and win BOtB. I read some of the comments and I have to say in away in MY opinion Christine is a floater before anyone gets mad here is what I mean

Ok, so Donny made the dumbest game move possible by using Caleb as an initial nom and now Numb Skull Cowboy is safe for the week. Yuck! His constant talking about himself is KILLING me!
Nicole will not re-nom Hayden, Christine, Cody or Derrick.. Would totally blow her game and all her side alliances. I’m praying for an hallelujah moment and a Jocasta POV win… Would Nicole play safe and re-nom Donny??? Would she pull up her big girl panties and re-nom Frankie??? Those are her only two choices remaining.
A Frankie v Zach block would be highly entertaining for the LF… The tears, the pleading, the bargaining, the potential break-up of Zankie.. Pure BB Gold!!
BotB was a “how bad do you want it” punishment deal. I haven’t heard all the details but someone has to do chum baths. Victoria and Caleb have two weeks of slop, she has to shave his head, and they are chained together for 48h in “Adam and Eve” costumes. Victoria is already telling people it’s ok if they don’t talk to her while chained to Caleb, she understands they don’t want to be stuck talking to Caleb as well.
Now as far as the Caleb head shaving… Man, he is a puss! First he was whining he has an ugly head and he tried to convince Victoria to shave her head… Yeah , right!! Then he’s been saying he has a “discriminatory” tattoo on the top of his head and they can’t make him shave it… He told Frankie it was something like an iron cross with racial slurs; somewhere else I heard a confederate flag. The claim is he did it while drunk in boot camp, but everyone doubts that since you typically can’t leave base during boot camp. And apparently Caleb’s family has started a bit of a twitter war saying he has no head tattoo. Personally, I think he’s trying to punk out and is now caught in a lie he can’t get out of. Although, having seen some of his social media comments prior to the season it wouldn’t surprise me… I can imagine there are certain racial comments he would have a hard time explaining after chasing Amber all summer…
Oh, see the final product now.. looks like they are letting him keep a short, short, short amount of hair. We won’t see it, but I’m sure the HG’s will know if he’s lying. Apparently there are also issues with the Adam and Eve costumes.. leaves keep falling off, LOL!!

I would love to see Nicole be HOH too, but really want Zach to be safe. Guess he’s not… hope he gets POV. Would love to see Nic put up Frankie or Donny when Zach takes himself off… I’m thinking positive here. Of course I don’t want to see Zankie broken up, so that means Jocasta and her bow ties will have to walk out the door.

MARY PRICE, I totally agree with your assessment, particularly about floater-Christine. Derrick & Frankie have left Donny out of TA’s decision-making & have also ignored him socially. Donny has no choice but to be on the other side of the house. The guy haven’t EVER included Donny in their alliances/strategies/shenanigan’s. I hope Donny, Nicole, Hayden, & Cody or in the Final 4. Zach & Caleb need to go ASAP !!!

Renee’, I also have seen every BB from season 1 to 16. I consider myself a BB Vet, but there are bloggers here who have been blogging here for years! I feel more accepted this year than last year. J Renee, I know I commented on at least one of your posts too. Don’t worry, just keep on posting. Most of us read every single post but it’s difficult to respond to everybody. I too have been a BB fan since season I and have been posting since the second year this blog came on. I only read the first year as so many do. Anyone out there remember the year this blog started? I read every single post but this year haven’t commented as often. I guess the vets are the ones who have been around for a long time and we’ve been Internet friends for too many seasons to remember.
Kimj… that’s all we need is another alliance. LOL Does anyone have a graphic of who’s in what alliance? Can’t keep track. Thanks for the Botb info. Can’t wait to see it.

Renee’, I see you, dear. This is my 3rd year on this wonderful blog, but I don’t think of myself as a “vet”, nor do I believe I am considered one as I don’t respond much. The truth of this blog is that the information and comments are spot on, and we are all alike in our devotion to BB. Gratitude is my most frequent emotion. LM, for instance! I think the important thing is that you, as an individual, are highlighted for your opinion and take on what happens in the BB house. I want to know what everyone thinks, so Renee’, please keep posting. Everyone wants to hear your perspective and thoughts on the action (yeah, right, action) in the BB house.
I love Donny and hope he wins, but I think he has made a mistake or two that will probably keep that from happening. I don’t get this group of houseguests. Two of them are arranging who goes and in what order, and the rest of them are like the row of ducks in a shooting gallery, just waiting around to get picked off one by one. I am mystified as to why there’s no game going on in the house.

PatRoseNC – I come from enlisted Navy stock. My Mother was a native of Duluth and was a Navy WAVE during WWII stationed at Alameda NAS as a flight scheduler (the first female to hold that position I’m told). My father was a lieutenant jg on a supply ship/oiler in the South Pacific at the same time (a prime target for the Japanese). His parents lived in Alameda and Mom was living next door. They met when he came home on leave and that’s how my sister and I came to be. True war babies. Both still living in Alameda.

J Renee’ – I know exactly how you feel. I’ve been following this blog for years but never seriously posted, as I was looking for information and didn’t have anything to add. I’m sure here are a lot of us “lurkers” out there who have never posted. We depend on those few individuals who have the ability to absorb all the information and organize it in such a way that others can comprehend. I frankly don’t know how they do it, but I’m so grateful they do.
That being said, I actually have something to share! I see that there are those that want Frankie out. I want him to stay and just realized why. He reminds me of a dear friend who is gay, a minister in our church(also sings in the choir and teaches summer school), worked as a hospice minister in a local hospital, an actor, volunteers at the Disney Museum in San Francisco, organizes flash mobs, and just really likes to keep people happy…the list goes on. I see Frankie the same way. Yes, he wants to be the center of attention, but is that really a bad thing if done right?

J Rene’… …I could just say DITTO to what Starfish said as it applies to me too!! We both started at the same time,as did Mama Margie and aggie,and have been friends ever since. Not sure of the date,SF, but I’m thinking at least 7 years ago…maybe more. I kind of started the whole shouting out to he Vets thing here this year as it is too hard to keep mentioning everyone by name!! And we get alot of looky-loos or people who think we are boring and never come back, so we just kind of stick together and talk to whoever else stops by. I know I have talked to you too but as I said, at least for myself,I don’t mention anyone by name unless I am responding specifically to their post. Then if I just want to say Hi or Bye to my frineds, we do the Vet shout out. It wasn’t made to exclude anyone. Just an acknowledfement of friends. We don’t just talk on this blog. But it is where we met and we are all huge BB fans. It’s kind of like our summer vacation we take together…lol But we always enjoy making new friends.

I also do not understand what he is doing here. Maybe he needs the money. Who knows. But he is way too private, sensitive and kind to be in this house!!(ED would call him asomething else, but we’ll keep the blog PG!!)lol And the letter from his GF didn’t make me cry. It made me wonder if his GF knew this game at all as in THEY READ THE LETTERS FROM HOME OUT LOUD ON NATIONAL TV!!! lol Because it was so personal and intimate, it was uncomfortabl for me! Kimjmj……thanks for the info. Hadn’t heard about the chum bath. Who got it??? I have looked all over and can’t seem to find an actual list of who got what. Also heard there were 6 HNs and the only ones I have heard of are Frankie, who is whining about it and his *special needs* and Caleb and Vic….who got it for two weeks!!!!! I kind of like the QuadSquad, but I am sick of all the alliances . It seems like these people spent considerable time before they even got into the house thinking up possible names for all of them!
I’m not even going to get into Caleb and his ego getting chained to Vic. He is such an ICK factor guy. He embodies everything a girl DOESN’T want in a man!! Or BB watchers either….lol I feel really sorry for Vic tho. She is so pure and proper, I am sure this, and the thought of her parents watching, is mortifying her. And she can tell this everytime she looks at her reflection…..which is ALL the time!!! 😉

Hey Craig Long..I likeFrankie too. He’s a fun, interesing ,charming guy. So chaming that everyone loves him and trusts him. He’s everyone’s best friend. That is a dangerous combo in the BB House. He’s being Andy only much more openly and better than he did. And Andy WON!!! The reason HGS want him gone, and some of us approve, is they are trying to get further ahead in their game and they see him for the huge threat he is!!! It’s actually a compliment and I am sure he won’t go easy. But it’s better they get him out sooner than later. Or he WILL win this game!!!
And BTW…I really don’t think of you as a newbie anymore, so you must post more than you think. 😉

Does anyone else find these punishments a bit on the degrading side? They don’t have anything to do with the game and it seems they were just added for the humiliation factor. I’ll say this about the Detonators, they are playing a masterful game of sorts since no one has been able to realize that they are working together.

Star, I appreciated your explanation of the Vets! I think it’s great to have special long term friends. I know I do! They are the people you can count on to back you up, no matter what. My sissy (Jeanne) is my best friend! There are also those friends who you don’t see very often, but when you do, it’s like you pick right up from where you left off. I have two of these very special friends. Facebook is a great way to stay connected, especially when your family are 3,000 miles away! Macy, I love your doggie. Didn’t you say it was a rescue dog. See you had success getting rid of the #s after your name. Like my Sissy jolee I feel a kinship with a lot of you. When I was young I had a terrible inferiority complex. I had freckles and was made fun. I look at those precious twins pictures today, we were adorable. At 81 years old I still have those feelings when I feel excluded. I think that Victoria may have had a complex also. I try really hard to lift woman up. Oh, and on the punishments… from what I gather the comp had something to do with building a dominoe path thru various punishments to and end point. The first team to get the dominoes to fall from begining to end won the comp but got the punishments they had along their path. So I guess a manuer (not chum) bath was along Zach and Victoria’s path but since they didn’t win they don’t have to do thier punishments.
As for the previously reported tattoo on Caleb’s head… All I’ve seen/heard is that it was a complete lie. Have not heard ny HG’s comment on it directly though. But now Caleb thinks he looks awesome with the shaved head and may keep it that way. What a dolt!

I saw Guardians of the Galaxy earlier today and wow, what a fun movie! LOVED IT!
I’m waiting to see how the Veto goes before posting my latest post. As much as she annoys me, I do hope that Jocasta wins just because I would like to see Zach squirm. To an extent, I do think the house would be less interesting without Zach there — every BB season needs an instigator. But it is time for a Detonator to go!
If you want to change your picture, just go to Gravatar.com, sign in, and upload a new one. However, it will usually take a few minutes for the change to go through so don’t worry if your picture doesn’t change immediately. 🙂
And what else — oh! I agree with some of y’all who are a little bit disappointed in the way that Donny handled being HoH. I kinda suspect that Donny is aware of just how popular he is outside of the house. I mean, he has to know that he has fans because that’s how he got to be a member of a Team America and all. And it wouldn’t surprise me if someone in the Diary Room told him that he’s really popular outside the house. Because I think now Donny is really scared of doing anything that could make him look like a “bad guy.” I love Donny but if he’s not willing to play the game then he won’t have anyone to blame but himself if he’s voted out.

JEANNE – that doggie is not a rescue – my hubster asked for a border collie for Christmas – three yrs ago – i finally found one in minesota and had her shipped – she has been the biggest blessing – name is bella – but i do have a rescue – his name is jimmie bob – hes so ugly hes cute !

Donny has been a real let down this season. I had high hopes for him, but honestly he’s just a waste of space in the house that a person who is a competitor could have filled. I could care less if he is one of the two voted out Thursday. Like them or not Frankie, Cody, Zach and Derrick are the only ones really playing the game and deserve to be the final four at this point. This is all subject to change if Nicole, Hayden and the rest of the cast ever decide to jump in and do something.

It is really starting to sounds like it’s either going to be Frankie or Zach this week. What’s interesting is that neither one of them seems to realize it. Frankie thinks that Nicole might be planning to backdoor Donny. I think Frankie has let his confidence get the better of him because he seriously does not seem to realize that the house is starting to turn against him.
If Nicole sticks to the plan and pulls this off, I’ll have a lot of new found respect for her.

Frankie is back to being convinced that Donny is secretly a professor, apparently because he heard Donny use the word “osmosis.”
There’s already several hundred Ariana Grande fans on twitter who are currently having a panic attack over people plotting against Frankie.

Sylvie, you amaze me at your and your husband’s compassion and devotion. Binky is one lucky doggy. The world needs more people like you. the J twins and all the other rescuers too. I’m so touched. Thing is if any of the houseguests shared that they had rescue pets, I would root for them to win, no matter how obnoxious I previously thought they were. I can be bought with a sweet pet story. : )

@ J Renee’…i think i’m a ‘vet’…been here a long time…sometimes i don’t say much…then sometimes i do and sometimes i piss the other vets off, without trying and so don’t feel bad..i’m pretty much ignored by the vets this yr. seems not all of us can speak our minds without pissing other’s off. and btw……apologies don’t work so say what you want…be yourself. ppl who are real friends won’t care what you say and will accept you have your own opinion and some will blow up but don’t let that stop you from joining in. I just zip through here and read off and on….:)

I don’t feel angry with Donny but he wasn’t the only one in the group to turn down the assignment. what he said to them did make sense. I do agree though that he’s a gentle soul and most likely doesn’t like the loud mouth’s in the game in HIS face. I wouldn’t either. I want zack and franky to leave……….somehow. I probably like Nic, Hayden and Cody besides Donny, the best. I don’t have any real passion about anyone this yr as far as liking or not liking. My hubby always says “she’s cute” when Nic comes on..

Gee, tendr. I guess I didn’t pick up on that whole episode. I can be kind of dense sometimes. I sorry you felt you were being excluded. I don’t think anyone on this blog wants to hurt anyone else’s feelings. I, and I’m sure lots of others, feel very warmly toward you.
This admission will probably get me kicked off the blog, but the last person I felt passionately about winning was….wait for it….Rachel. Oh, gosh, I can hear the groans now. Yes, The Queen of Whine. I am more than ready and willing to get behind someone, anyone, this year. Still rooting for Donny.

@two…i have to just say ‘oh well’ and those who i upset know what i’m talking about but it seems my old friends have picked sides which to me is fine. i still like them anyway. OH and you miss Rachel? lol……well, you need to watch the soap “the Bold and Beautiful” once in awhile she’s there as a waitress….
