Happy 4th of July all!!! I hope you are enjoying your day.
First, let me tell you something about the new sub-division where I live in Georgia. The cable, Internet and phone are parts of our HOA amenity package and are all connected. So why am I mentioning this? Well, on Friday, the Gas Company cut a fiber optic line and the entire area lost phone, Internet and TV. Unfortunately, if this happens again (and it may–we are having our difficulties!) I won’t have a way to stay in touch. So…if I seem to be missing…that’s why.
Second, I haven’t gotten around to reading all the comments on the Spoilers or No Spoilers Blog, but I know from JT’s count that we will be releasing Spoilers and I will try to get a new blog on here everyday. I’ll try…I swear…LOL. I also will make sure to mark the spoilers in case someone doesn’t want to read them, but that’s going to be hard for you “someone” because all the comment-ers will be talking about it!
So I’m guessing that everyone has had a chance to view the “teaser” video giving us our first taste of the Big Brother HG’s, right? I saw Shane (a house flipper), Kara (a model), JoJo (a bartender), Will (a marketing consultant), Danielle (a nurse), Willie (a tankerman), Jodi (a restaurant server), Jen (a musician) and Mike (a sailing instructor). That’s nine HG’s–see JT–I can count! Some immediately obvious stuff: Will has Fabio-style hair. Jen is our newest tattoo gal. Willie is Russell Hantz’s brother. That Hantz family sure is learning how to cash in on Reality TV, aren’t they? The gals are pretty. The guys are all over the map. Did I miss anything?
Tomorrow, July 5th is a big day. The BB14 House Guest press release will be launched. The CBS website will be updated to include the cast with photos and bios. July 7th is the day that the cast will move into the Big Brother house. July 11th is the last day you are able to sign up for the full season of Big Brother 14 live feeds for a 25% discount. July 12th is The Talk Big Brother 14 preview show. And of course…drum roll please…July 12th is also the night that Big Brother 14 premieres!

Thats a bummer about your internet ,cable & phone all being down. Hope that doesnt happen much, as far as the blog goes, if you do it every day just say here it is and we will take it from here. of couse we love to here from you, I know I love to read your posts. cant wait till the 12th, will be glued to the tv, no phone calls or company(thats the rule)keep up the great work and hope everything goes smoother for you.

A few more details bout the HG’s…..
Kara is the sister of Kelly Monaco who won the 1st season of DWTS…and Kara is also 2006 playmate of the year…so expect some nudity from her, lol…..
Wil…auditioned for 2009 American Idol and has a youtube page…he looks like a crazy one, lol….
and yes, u counted 9 HG’s but we seen 11 already…u was missing…… Ashley(mobil spray tanner)….Frank(unemployed)…..anyone know who is the boy with the glasses?…..this is certainly a interesting group of HG’s…:-)….

I have some really big news!!!!!
Threrewill be “18” houseguests!!
The four twists:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------1) For the first few HOH comps, “3” houseguets will be nominated and “2” will be evicted
2) There will be 2 double evictions this year
3) Houseguests can win as many HOH comps in a row as possible
4) This one s a doozy! After the first HOH comp, the HOH will get to select 1 other houseguest to be given “The Ultimate Golden Key” and be safe until the final 8. Before you think this a great gift, listen to this ……. They will have to live alone in a seperate room, they will be a have not each week, and upon their return they will be automatically nominated, UNLESS, they win the HOH.
I have also learned who 3 suprise HG’s will be, 2 from Survivor and 1 from The Amazing Race! if you want to know who they are e-mail me. And you have to promise not to post them here!

That is huge news! I like the idea of more houseguests, 18 is the most ever assembled in the BB house. More houseguests= More drama. And let’s boot more than one a week, this should be fun. Does the “Ultimate Golden Key” holder have to be completely separated from the other houseguests? That sounds like torture to me, they have secluded houseguests before, but no longer than 24 hours! To get to the final 8 even with double evictions will take a month. I would go bonkers!

I am sooo anxious for Big Brother to start. It always causes a bit of a riff in my house BUT I win out and either tape or watch it in real time. I am glad there will be spoilers on here, I am such a snoop. I do not dare have live feeds as I would never want to go to work OR do anything else. Reading all the comments make me happy. Sounds like most of the contestants and future HGS are total celebrity wannabes and their full time jobs are getting on reality shows. Kinda sucks really cuz it would be nice if they ever got a group of just NORMAL people. But then , I guess if they were, they wouldn’t be very interesting..lol
Thanks to Sal for the gossip!!! I like the HOH’s being able to win as many comps as they can! Why not? Make the floaters actually have to participate while they are in there!!! Maybe it will even be the END of floaters!!! WHOPPEE!!!!! 😉

Arlene…I haven’t seen a finale date officially listed anywhere yet.
HoH8…I thought of Kelly when I saw the Monaco name, but didn’t followup on it–thanks. Also, I saw that I missed two HG’s. They weren’t on the commercial that I watched. I guess there was more than one commercial? I guess it’s neither here nor there since all HG’s will be released today.
Livnlife1 and Mama Margie…what makes it even MORE annoying is that our TV/Internet/Phone are handled by a third-party company. So in other words, even though Internet and Phone are provided by Windstream…a company called Hotwire services us. They also take care of our TV which is provided by Directv. Hotwire just took over our contract since the previous third party company went bankrupt, so here’s hoping they are capable of doing a good job!
Mama Margie…If you have to use my avatar on the milk carton…add a little weight and some wrinkles…I’ve had that one since I began blogging.
Snakebit Sal…Interesting. I’m not sure if all this new stuff is going to make the show better or not, but I guess we shall see. Like so many on this blog, I am NOT a fan of bringing back old contestants. They had their chance, now lets move on. As I’m sure you all read, the rumor is that there will be two “hero” mentors and two “villian” mentors. The names circulating the Internet are all over the place. I’ve seen many ex-BB HG’s named. No sense in repeating unverified stuff, so I’ll stay silent.
I also agree that casting for Reality shows has changed through the years. More and more “contestants” are staged. Reality “stars” are having a much easier time creating a career after their TV show. I should know since I spend a LOT of time with these people. Being on a Reality show can really launch you. Also, you can cash in on your “celebrity” by starting your own website, blog, company, etc. The new trend towards fans wanting to meet these ex-contestants has given them the opportunity to travel all over the country for little to no money–granted, most of the time to help a charity. This gives them even more of a chance to get their personal agenda heard. This is NOT to say that this group of people aren’t true, fun-loving, great people. A lot of them are. Just stating the facts!

Even if a comment is marked, SPOILER ALERT (or other such nonsense)… all the comments after it will also have to be avoided as they will surely mention what is going on.
