If our houseguests use their heads, they’ll send Jen packing this week. Forget next week; she’s too dangerous, whereas Jameka is not. I would assume that Daniele would still want her gone too.

I think that a lot of Big Brother’s tinkering is good and justified (such as this case with Jen), but I think it’s wrong to make suggestions to people in the DR and it’s unfair to people that might want otherwise (Kail when she was up on the block against Eric, for instance). They have no business getting that involved in the game, but I don’t have a problem with them working rules around depending on the situation, because situation does matter.

Then again, it almost seems unfair to Jen to not reward her for taking advantage of a loophole; after all, she didn’t write it.

As I’ve said, I think that Dick and Daniele are the best players in the house whereas Daniele and Jen are the best competitors in the house. They’re not the same, and I don’t understand why people seem to think that. Will wasn’t a very good competitor (whether or not he purposely through HoH is completely irrelevant), but he was one of the best if not the best player yet to be on the show. I also don’t think this is the most maddening cast by any means. I strongly dislike Amber and Jameka (though since I’m finally seriously convinced that Amber has a personality disorder, I’m starting to feel bad for her) I like most of the rest of the cast.

People hate this cast for the silliest of reasons.

“Eric is such a sneay snake! He does exactly what he’s supposed to do per his America’s Player status! Damn that bastard!”

“Dick is a vulgar, white trailer trash man! I think it’s terrible that people refer to Jameka as ‘ghetto’ but it’s most certainly the case that Dick is white trash!”

“Zach is such a pervert! I don’t believe he flirts with the girls like that!”

“Daniele is the lowest of the low — she works at a redneck bar and has breast implants, and in fact I bet she moonlights as a stripper! I can say these things because they are true, but it is wrong of fellow posters to come down on me because they’re in the game and I’m not.”

People like who they like without caring about their flaws, but come down on everybody elses. I find Jameka and Amber THOUSANDS of times more offensive than Dick, with comments such as “If what God told me is correct, then I will win PoV tomorrow”. It’s a mockery of Christianity and a mockery of God and I don’t see how it doesn’t offend others more than Dick. Newsflash — Dick never claimed to be a Christian; Amber does.

Sorry, went off on a tangent but ah well, forgive me. =P

I agree with you Kool-Aid. The houseguests need to send Jen home this thursday so that it leaves both seats open for either Dick and Danielle or Eric and Jessica. Those are the strongest alliances in the game and they need to be evicted asap especially since they are working together. Personally I think Danielle should have put Eric and Jessica up this week. Each alliance has amazing abilities to control the house and should be gotten rid of immediately.

The smartest player in the game has to be Zack. At the beginning the guests thought he was an idiot and no threat and didn’t like him. He stayed in the background and didn’t piss anyone off too badly. This sounds alot like Dr Will. Now he is becoming more likable and player both sides very nicely. Both Jessica and Danielle think they have him wrapped around their fingers, but they’re just being played. Zack also is very focused on the game and wants the money and he’ll do anything to get it.

I also feel bad for Amber because it does look like she is emotionally unstable. Her crying is getting tiresome. Dick, well, what can I say. It is personal preference and I cannot stand him. Jameka is killing me. I to am a Christian and I would never, ever begin to use my Christianity like she does. That to me is blasphemy. Daniele’s whining about how everything effects her and how she hates everyone in the house is grating, but she is an awesome competitor. Has it been said if anyone ever found out that she just turned 21 this week? I agree with you about Zach. Eric and Jess, well I do like them much better than D&D.

Amber is the person I most hate in the game. She does this one thing very subtly. She gives herself compliments all the time. In this episode she came second in the pov challenge then said something about how she wanted Jameka to go in her place and said “that’s me always putting people ahead of myself”. She thinks she’s better than everyone in the house and it makes me sick.

Amber is very disturbed………she tells Jameka she can’t tell Danielle for sure who she will put on the block if she wins HOH…..and then when Danelle calls her in the HOH bedroom she blurts out she will not put her on the block if she is HOH in the game more than once and swears on her childs life! Sounds like she has a plan and it does not have Jameka in it! She needs help!

Dick and Danielle are very tough right now. They have Eric and Jessica with them and that is enough to take them to the final four. But at anytime they can finish the game for either one of them. I believe if Dick and Danielle get to the final two Danielle will win by default. If one of them gets there with ANYONE else……they will lose big. So I would not trust D & D too much here very soon! They know it needs to be BOTH of them in the final 2 or its over.

I am pulling for Eric and Jessica. They both have played the game very well. Eric has been hampered by the American people, but has been masterful pulling it off until now. He has stayed in the game much longer then I expected. Jessica is smart and with their alliance with D & D she knows that at some point something has to give…………..Zach is playing smart for someone who does not appear to be. I think he is more likely to side with D & D so hopefuly Eric and Jessica can get him out soon, unless they get the chance to boot D or D!

I don’t have a distinct favorite anymore. I like ED and Danielle, but I think Dick is way too cruel. (Could BB be telling him to let it all hang out, including ‘dagger to the heart personal insults’??? Maybe) I do like Danielle and Jessica. I still haven’t forgiven Eric for his past misdeeds. I like Jen more than I used to. She’s a strong player, and has managed to get her neck off the chopping block several times.

My wife has watched all of the BBs since Number 1, and she says that BB has always manipulated things from the DR. I think, though, it’s more blatant, so as to be annoying this year.

I still haven’t got over Boogie winning last year. He’s pretty wealthy anyway, with his Dolce Restaurants all over the place. And he and Will are both on Doctor 90210. He was just around but was one of the patients this week. (Boogie had a bump on his pee pee, that turned out to be a genital wart. He’s been dipping his stick in the wrong places, and was told he’d better start using protection) Of anyone who I didn’t want to win last year, Boogie was it.

I agree yes Eric is a smart player but I cannot, CANNOT stand how whenever he says something he thinks is funny he laughs before he finishes his thought and the laugh is so annoying and high pitched. But he is a good player and the alliance with D and D could pay off or backfire badly.

My favorite player in BB8 is definately Jen. She is the only one with morals in the entire house…and the only one to stand up to Dick! I find it hilarious that nobody in the house dislikes Danielle for her infidelity…yet they call Jen a “vain, robotic bitch” (thank you Julie Chen!)! I also find it hilarious that Amber thinks she is a good person….HA! What a bitch! She says she has never lied in the house (what about Nick!?)! Jameka isn’t that bad…she abuses her faith too much, but she still has class. Danielle and Amber are the dumbest bitches on the show, they are horrible human beings and don’t deserve the prize! If Eric, Jessica, Jameka, or especially Jen win, i will be ecstatic! GO JEN!!!! WOOO, THE ONLY PERSON WITH MORALS AND DIGNITY ON THE SHOW!!!!!

It seems to me that there is a lot of cheering for Dick but doesn’t anyone realise that Dick-head is an abuser, if he treats Jen so badly how do you think he treats any women in his life that may upset him. Jessica has not played this game at all! She is a sweet girl who latched onto Eric and let him do everything for her by shoving her boobs in his face. As if he notices… If she were up against Dani in the final, the idiot jury would pick Jess to win, instead of the BEST GAME PLAYER, which, between the two, would be Daniele.

The producers should automatically evict Jen out of the house and make this a non-eviction week for Jameka, who isn’t even playing the game. She and Amber just sit around, pray, cry and hope for a win in the end, yet they’re not really playing the game. They both need to leave after Jen.

If Jen had “morals and dignity” she’d follow the rules of the house. She’s on slop like Jameka, yet ate and ate and ate right in front of her without a care toward how this made Jameka feel. Jen is morally bankrupt. She’s a self-centered, superior minded twit who should be sent home, not even to the jury house. However, I have to admit that the ice running through her veins works for her when she manipulates Dick into confrontation.

I still think Zach is a force. I think he’s waiting to win HOH or POV when it really counts, letting the others pick off houseguests one by one until he can finally relieve the house of the biggest threats. =^^=

i LOVE this blog!! just had to say that! i find amber’s use of religion to be more of a convenience. i don’t remember her being that religious, other than her outloud prayer to god in the first episode. with everything going on in the world, i really don’t think god is speaking to amber and jameka, just an opinion. and i agree with Kool aid, it’s offensive. religion should be a personal thing, not some sort of “game play”.
amber needs help. maybe she’s bipolar. not to sound like amber with the whole “backdoor” thing, but what are the rules with the penalty vote/nomination? this is only my 3rd BB, i wish i had seen all 8!

Jen has shown that she is perfectly capable of taking care of herself and attempting a battle of wits with Dick. If she were so offended or frightened at or of Dick’s antics and/or attitude toward her, she’d stay away from him. Instead she stays around, in the same room with him wherever he is. She’s probably hoping to get him to strike her physically so he’ll get kicked out of the house. It’s a strategic move, but one that I doubt will work as we saw when she tried to slap the cigarette out of his hand the other night. I also doubt that Dick is the least bit interested in her in any other way except to get her out of the house. The only one who loves Jen is Jen, just listen to the other houseguests. She is her biggest fan. =^^=

I’m tired of all the religious ponderings of Amber and Jameka. I know a lot of really religious people and they don’t even watch the show. I can’t imagine that God would really care about this game and the outcome of it. I also can’t imagine why someone as religious as they claim to be would even want to be on this show. It does not promote a very “christian-like” atmosphere.

I also agree that Dick verbally abuses most of the women in the house. I’m surprised the BB lets it happen. If there was a physical fight he would be removed from the show. Verbal abuse is just as bad. I bet they have a clause in their contract stating they can’t be sued for actions or statements made in the house.

I like Eric. He has been given some hard tasks that don’t fit in with the plan and he has to cover his tracks. Luckily most everyone has been so mad at someone else that they assumed others had done the things Eric has done. It is going to get harder for him to hide his vote. I’m afraid that America is going to ask Eric to get Jessica nominated again and it will harder for him to do that and not seem like he is turning on his alliance.

Let’s just imagine the house if Dick wasn’t there, just for a second, whether you like him or not. You’d have Jameka and Amber in one room togethor talking about thier spirituality, Eric and Jessica in one room talking about themselves, Zach bouncing from room to room annoying people, and Jen and Daniele “teaming up” only to talk about hair, nails, clothes, etc…. Dick brings controversy and I don’t see BB making it easy for him to leave anytime soon. When you have a show that is dependant on ratings and is 8 season’s old, you better believe they will be tweaking to make it as interesting as possible.

I’m not sure who said it……….but I agree with this show being a guilty pleasure. It’s NOT reality. It’s just plain old entertainment. Yes, it’s MY guilty pleasure. I enjoy it. I can’t imagine being stuck in the house with these people (any of them). For that matter - I can’t imagine living with that many strangers ever. I know a lot of people take this show/game personally. We all have our favorites. But, honestly - my advice is to just sit back and enjoy. 6 weeks after this show is over, something else will take it’s place and we’ll all move on and be “involved” in that.

Angel, I agree with you. This is a guilty pleasure of mine, but it is just a show. After it is over, I won’t think about it again until next year when I am looking forward to watching it again. I get as worked up as the rest and I really don’t understand why I am so into this show but I am. I hate to say it, but I am very fickle on who I like and why and it changes all the time. I have though, consistently disliked Dick but do appreciate the entertainment value he brings. Personally, I kept changing the channel (Showtime II) when Dick was calling Jen all of those vile names. I just couldn’t stand hearing anyone call another person those names. You are right, it is just a show, even though it is reality, it really is not anyone’s true reality.

I just think it is being said that this is all being manipulated by the PTB as entertainment. I don’t think it is okay the way Dick speaks to people. I have been very concerned and outraged at his behavior and offended. I have heard what everyone says about him being entertaining and at least he says things to peoples faces and that others have done the equivolant of what he does just in other ways, but I am sorry, the things he says are horrible and not okay and to accept it as being okay, to me only, is wrong!

WHY is Amber still on this show? She needs to be in an institution somewhere. I felt really bad for her and her constant crying the first two weeks, but now I just want to leap thru the TV and throw a straight-jacket on her. And Jenn….how dare Dick say that Jenn is “big.” She is not big. She has great muscle definition. She looks completely hot (and I’m a straight woman). Just because your daughter looks like a stick with giant balloons tied around it (oh, wait, I just got it. She uses the Ughs to offset the big boobs. So you get the Q-tip effect. Oh. See, I thought men went for hourglass, not Q-tip. Silly me). Dick’s said some lowsy stuff, but to call Jenn “big” is simply ludicrous. Jenn is self-centered, but she has at least some of the goods to back it up.

I dont think Jen or any of the contestant have a legal leg to stand on. I would imagine they signed a ton of releases before they entered the house. I also don’t think they have a right to. They all new what they were getting into when they went on the show. Now they may not have expected a guy like ED, but so what. If your faced with an enemy you fight back. ED is playing a good game. Most of the other contestants are weak and cowardly. They deserve to lose and ED deserves to win. He should even win over his daughter. Granted she plays well too but he is a better player than she is.

ED is the man in the house. Granted he is a poor white trash, no where career, druggy that has found his niche in this show. He is truly the obnoxious kid on the playground that has a protective “BIG BROTHER” to watch over them. You want to punch him in the face but you know his Big Brother will get you.

After the show is over, all of the contestants will go back to their pathetic lives after this show and bragging about thier time on TV. They will make a couple of bucks doing talk shows and maybe another reality show opportunity. But alas month after month they will be less and less recognized. ED will have a period of time that he will enjoy getting into the celebrity LA night clubs but a year from now he will be religated back to the white trash, biker bars he belongs in.

The winner of the game is 10 years from now. Where are they then.

My guess is that Jameka, Eric, Kail, Zack, and Jess will probably have normal sucessful professional lives.

ED, Daniel, Amber, Dustin and Jenn will go back their middle to low class lives.

I think its all too funny, i thinki the slop has a lot to do with it , but Jen is a good person i wish they would give her a chance since day1 thy have bashed her. She seems like fun girl. But The bullys are eric and zach dani is so worse. And dick has to go around them. And he could be nicer. Alexandra, there’s no such thing as REAL reality TV. Every single “reality” show is manipulated by the producers and editors. All of them. Period. They know what people will probably want to watch and they try and give it to us. Sometimes it works, more often than not it doesn’t. The only way to have a REAL reality show could work would be if the people on it didn’t know they were. Everybody seems so upset about BB8 being “fixed” by the DR sessions. So what? It’s THEIR show. If it upsets people so much, don’t watch it.

I agree with Dick’s Evil Double. There is no such thing as REAL Reality TV. They carefully picked the right mix of people to put in the house and when they start to act differently than they expected them to act they manipulate the show to get it back on track.

Do you really beleive there was a fan so devoted to Nick and Big Brother that they would rent an airplane, create a banner and then get spys on the show to tell them exactly when everyone of them would be in the yard to see the plane? That was classic CBS

The only thing that is losing more popularity than Reality TV is Bush’s popularity. People are only watch this stuff because it is a summer show. CBS has to make it enjoyable, no matter what, because they have a lot invested in this show. The deal with Showtime, 24/7 internet and three nights a week on TV; that is a lot of pressure for the executive producers. I wouldn’t be surprised if they didnt offer them side deals in the DR to create action in the house.

Oh as for Eric, he may have a girlfriend but more than likely that is a lie to make people think he is not the big nerd he seems to be. Also, there is no way a pretty blond Christian girl from Kansas will hook up with a wimpy NY Jew. He parents would kill her. She is playing his like a fiddle.

I can’t help but think if it weren’t for Dick noone would be watching BB8 this year! He is the only one who keeps it interesting. Yes he can be cruel but to me Jameka and Amber are deserving of it claiming to be Christians and saying that God is telling them things about the POV and all. I am a chrisitan and I dont use my prayers to pray for those kinds of things. Amber is a cry baby with problems and needs to go home. Zack is doing all the right things flying under the radar.
I like Danielle but feel sorry for her boyfriend back home.
If it weren’t for Dick I would not be watching this year. It started out slow but I waited and am glad I did. I truly hope D&D are in the final two. And I hope they can salvage their relationship. I think Jen is a sore loser and she needs to go now.

As I’ve said in other forums, BB8 is like nature. It should not be messed with. If they want to verbally abuse each other so be it. As long as there is no physicle violence let the show take it’s course. That goes for you too CBS. When these houseguests go on this show they know that this could happen.
