Kail Evicted; Eric Survives — YOUR REACTION?

The Big Brother 8 houseguests just evicted Kail 4 to 3, and America’s Player survives a week of high drama and turmoil.

As expected, Jameka and Amber kept their word, voting to evict the Oregon mother. Eric’s buddy Jessica voted to save Eric, and Dustin did the same. Either Eric did some smooth talking, or something has gone wrong — right?

Even as I write this, Dick is lambasting Dustin about the vote, given that they supposedly had a one-week deal to spare Kail.

What is your reaction? Are you pissed? Or relieved that Eric survived?

Argh! Eric’s On The Block

No surprise. Daniele put Eric on the block for his perceived house crimes, and Eric is all but assured of going home. Unfortunately.

As much as Eric loves this game, as well as he has played so far, a darned plane banner will be his downfall, and there is no recourse or relief from Big Brother. I don’t buy for a second that Daniele or Dick would have figured Eric out if it hadn’t been for the banner — neither are cerebral enough to deduce too much correctly.

However, they are aggressive enough to make what knowledge they can muster pay off for them, and that my friends is the essence of this game. Big Brother winners have to twist the sword while the killing’s good, and to let a good player like Eric escape from this would be a big mistake.

Kail is totally beatable. This is a no-brainer for the houseguests. They must vote Eric out.

Earlier today, TMZ reported that Big Brother issued cease-and-desist orders to a company that flies planes over the house. However, contrary to what I thought at the time, their cease-and-desist orders pertained to a FUTURE flight in which the pilot in question was going to reveal Eric’s status as America’s Player to the rest of the house — essentially Eric’s only chance to survive.

Do it. Do it. I triple-dog dare you. Have some cahones. No court in their right mind would give the producers’ case the time of day. Go. Go. Go. Go! Go! Go!

I’ll say it, and it matters not to me what the rest of the Big Brother population thinks: Eric has been cheated. Regardless of his deceptiveness, regardless of the deceptiveness of anybody else, and regardless of anything — the gist of this game is that it’s all supposed to happen within the confines of the house, with no outside influence.

However, this isn’t the first time it’s happened, and it won’t be the last. To be honest, it wouldn’t be good reality television if there weren’t a big to-do to get us all fired up, right?

HoH Test Of Endurance — Winner Revealed!

If you don’t want to know who won this week’s HoH, which was a test of endurance hanging upside down from a swing — then don’t read any more.

HoH — We’re Down To 3!

It’s 7:34 BBT, and we’re down to three as Jessica came off the endurance challenge, citing pain in her arms. She said her legs were ok, but hanging upside down on the bar was rough on the upper body as well as the lower body.

Eric really encouraged her and looked very disappointed when she got off the swing.

Odds are Jen or Kail will be HoH, which will make for a very volatile week … unless Nick’s departure and the likelihood of a letter from Kris pushes Daniele to the win.

Stay tuned.

HoH Update: Girls Rule!

It’s 7:18 BBT, and it looks like the women of the house are ruling the roost.

Daniele, Jessica, Jen and Kail are all that’s left in the endurance challenge, and Dick is giving Jen and Kail HELL on the feeds. Now, I will say that Kail is having a rough go of it, just hours after she allegedly asked for a drop-out request from Big Brother — and it was caught on the feeds!

Anyway, video forthcoming, and the video will be well worth the wait.

Back-Door Surprise! Nick To Go On Block!

The Late Night Crew (LNC), the alliance I had called the sequester alliance among Dustin, Dick, Jessica, Jameka, Eric, Daniele and Amber, had a meeting early Sunday (2 a.m. BBT) and decided that Nick was going up on the block.

Jameka had already promised to take off Jen from the nomination block, and now Nick will replace him. And get this — he’s going home!

Dick said something about, “Daniele will be happy in the long run,” or some such.

The group feels good about it, and at this point — unless Kail, Jen or Zach wins HoH next week — one of them is going home a week from now. Problem is that Kail and Jen are quite capable. We’ll see. All’s well and smelling like roses for the LNC for now, but get ready to say goodbye to Nick.

Week 3 Nominations Revealed; Dick’s Strategy Clear

Today is Jameka’s birthday. For her special day, the school counselor from Maryland got … ?

Uh, well, she didn’t get nominated. That honor has gone to Jen Johnson and Kail Harbick. It’s no surprise that Dick went after these two, and he made it clear that he would. Furthermore, tonight, he’s made it clear that he’ll nominate Mike if either Jen or Kail wins the PoV.

In a conversation with Mike, Dick outlined his distaste for Zach as well. Apparently, the 30-year-old business owner from California is prone to saying super-creepy things, such as references to “soiled panties.”

I’m not sure of the context, but it didn’t sound good. In fact, Mike said he’s taken Zach aside to try to get him to not creep people out so much. My gut hunch is that Dick is open to a Zach nomination should Kail or Jen win the PoV.

Either way, Daniele, Eric, Jessica, Jameka, Amber, Dustin and Nick are completely safe. Of course, as I say this, Dick and Zach have a fairly deep conversation in which Dick opens up about the death of his father from Alzheimer’s.

Zach notes that he’s only experienced the death of a loved one once. In fact, he had to ask Dick what a pallbearer was. Dick explains that as he got older, he realized that funerals weren’t for us, they’re for the families. I mention all of this to underscore my contention that Dick has become sort of a parental figure to all the houseguests to a certain extent.

Sure, he can be brash, but I also think houseguests respect him. So far, at least.
