Dan knows his bugs…

I have to admit to all of Big Brother Blog’s faithful readers. I do not always watch the feeds. I turn them on from time to time but real life seems to ALWAYS get in the way.

However, last night I had an opportunity to watch for an extended amount of time.

So…what insight did I learn? What shocking developments could I witness and share with my readers? Would any of the house guests streak across the back yard? (Am I really making a Zach reference from BB8?)

Well, what I saw was beyond amazing. It was Michelle, April and Renny finding and then capturing A BUG! Yes. They kept saying, “I think it’s a grasshopper…but it looks like a leaf!” Since they did not know what it was….they brought it in to Dan (they said he was a Biology teacher which I did not know) So…the 3 ladies caring this bug into Dan while he was sleeping in a clear container. I think Michelle said let’s scare him with it. Dan just woke up, rolled over and said “It’s a cicada.” Bug Mystery Solved.

**now aren’t you jealous YOU are not watching the live feeds!** :)

**Potential Spoilers Below….stop reading**

If you are someone who watches the TV shows and does not like to know what is going on then stop reading and jump down to the end. Basically, not only does Dan have knowledge of the bug kingdom but he also currently holds the Power of Veto. He also did not use it and the nominations have stayed the same.

**Potential Spoilers Below….all done….start reading again**

So with that being said, please know that the best part of this blog is not when I post a new blog…it is when you comment and share your opinions and what is going on with the house. There will ALWAYS be spoilers on this site. Sometimes you will be warned….sometimes not. Please read at your own risk.

Best thing I can tell you is to get the live feeds, read our blog and all the users comments and join us in the chat room. We here are just like you…fans of the show and want to be a part of the experience while it is going on.

I find it amazing that the current poll for who your favorite house guest still in the house is…

1. Renny
2. Dan (this surprises me some)
3. Keesha

Very interesting….this season is shaping up quite nicely don’t you agree?

Tomorrow we will once again open up the diary room, ask about what strategy you see and what you think will happen on Thursday.

Love you all!

Peace, BBBlogger

PS: Comment away…please do not insult or make fun of anyone else’s comments. The comment area is in my opinion the best part of this blog. So have fun….just remember to BE NICE! :)

Big Brother 10 brings back America’s Player and a new HoH is crowned

It’s back to the future on Big Brother 10,
as the ghost of America’s Player returns. Oh, and we
had an endurance comp for the right to be HoH!

In other words, if you don’t want it all to be
spoiled for you, look away. If you see me walking by,
and the tears are in my eyes, look away. Baby, look
away.

OK, there’s your warning.

And, boy, were there some tears at then end of this
HoH comp. But, I’ll get to that in a moment.

We had a live eviction tonight, on Thursday, the
proper and wholesome night for Big Brother evictions.
Wednesday stunk. Thank you, Big Brother! Alas, the
night-switch couldn’t make up for the lack of drama as
Angie was ousted by a vote of 8-0.

We also had the coronation of America’s Player –
Dan.

What a perfect pick! Very much like Eric, Dan has
managed to stay alive despite his early game-play. And
very much like Eric, Dan has become kind of a goofball
among the houseguests.

Tonight’s comp was an endurance contest in which
the houseguests would stand on a ledge and hang on to
a horizontal pole as the ledge shook and debris got
heaped onto them. Given this week’s L.A. earthquake
(5.4), it was an appropriate competition.

And, finally, it was one in which Renny did
well. She finished 3rd.

However, the reason I mentioned Dan and his
goofball persona is that he spent a chunk of the
competition yelling out cheers for the final three
competitors: April, Michelle and
Renny.

They were pretty funny, but he was actually
encouraging them.

Nevertheless, after 2.5 hours, Renny dropped and
Michelle separated her freakin’ wrist, Reason No. 584
why I would never be able to be a Big Brother
contestant. Because I’m a big &%$@#. Dang, girl was in
pain.

But before Michelle dropped, April assured her that
Rhode Island Red and her wannabe boyfriend, Anabolic
Jessie, were safe. And you know Ollie is safe,
too.

I can’t say I’m too sure how the proceedings will
go down, but Jerry has not been a performer.
Furthermore, I can’t imagine it to be wise for the
house to keep Memphis around for too much longer. Do
you think he’s still underplaying it a bit?

However, April’s your new HoH … Stay tuned this
weekend to see who gets nominated!

Big Brother 10 is TWISTED! Lots of Big Brother news to share

She said there would be no twist. We heard it out of Allison Grodner’s mouth that there would be no twist…

Well…since it IS Big Brother…didn’t we all KIND OF expect something?

As revealed tonight America’s Player is returning. We get to vote via Text Message (I so need an unlimited texting plan!) and tell Big Brother who should be America’s Player for a week! I think Jerry or Renny is MY VOTE…they would TOTALLY shake the house up! I voted for Renny! You can vote here…

http://www.cbs.com/primetime/big_brother/polls/

Speaking of “Shaking the House up”, I know the house guests were all a little shook up today due to the 5.4 magnitude Earthquake that hit LA. I personally missed it on the feeds but if you watched it…comment and let us know what it was like. I did see that the feeds were cut shortly after the quake started…my guess is the producers at the time were like…WHAT THE ?!? and hit the DUMP TO THE FISHTANK button quickly! :) Honestly I am glad no one was hurt in the house and they were able to recover from it quickly. If you or your loved ones were effected by the quake, you are in my prayers!

More twisted items…what’s the deal with Ollie and April? Did these 2 think to themselves…let’s just get on TV and find someone else to be with and have our way with?? I know they have been together at least 2 times and seem to be having a lot of fun. I am not sure I think they are playing a very smart game….(however they seem to be under the radar and maybe playing the best game of them all so far) so who knows….I would LOVE to hear your thoughts on Ollie and April and their “showmance”. Is it a masterful strategy or is it just sex?

My favorite news of the week by far is that CBS figured out that Tuesday show with Wednesday show right after is too close together and is moving the show BACK TO THURSDAYS! (yeah!) So Big Brother 10’s live eviction show is on Thursday and not Wednesday this week.

Tomorrow we will open up the diary room and see who you think is going? But did Keesha do the right thing and sit on the Veto this week. I have heard a lot of people say NO and that she should have opened the back door for Libra. I personally think she did the right thing…it is only week 3 and there are still a lot of people in the house. Don’t make more enemies by making a major move this early. Keep your noms and get Jessie or Angie out. (I am hoping Jessie)

What are your thoughts…did Keesha play the Veto right this week?

Peace, BBBlogger

PS: Thanks to all of my Big Brother Blog readers for voting for Big Brother Blog and Big Brother Chat….we are now #1 and #4 on BBTop50.com! Whoo hoo! Thanks for voting! We will make sure we stay worthy of that ranking!

Keesha is having a good week inside the Big Brother 10 house

As fans of Big Brother know…it is a game that changes week to week. This week is shaping up very good for Keesha and from our current Poll…it looks like our readers feel the same.

So is because she has the power and control this week or is it because she is playing the game in a smart way? I am not sure what it could be. Since she almost won POV last week before losing to Michelle and this week secured the HoH….her week is defiantly all about being in power.

***SPOILER WARNING***PLEASE DO NOT READ THE NEXT PARAGRAPH IF YOU WATCH THE CBS SHOWS AND LIKE TO NOT KNOW WHATS GOING ON***

Speaking of POV, just a quick heads up from our friends watching the live feeds it looks like not only is Keesha POV so she will have the ability to keep her nominations of Angie and Jessie if she would like or this opens up a world of back door opportunities for her.

So with that being said, and with this being ONLY week three of a long game, is it too early for Keesha to be messinG with her Nominations? If they open up the backdoor it could make Keesha a target sooner than later. I personally do not see it advantageous to get someone out this early. I would wait for a few more weeks (like starting week 5 or 6) before thinking about opening the back door for someone with the POV.

I would LOVE to hear your thoughts in the comments…

***END SPOILER INFO***

Lastly, I need your help. I would like to get a little more traffic to the site and I think being on the top of certain websites would help. So here is what you can do…

Big Brother 10 Women Tell Jerry They’re Horny! (Ewwww …)

We’ve got a ton to get to, including a possible spoiler. However, let’s play a little game of Who We Like vs. Who We Hate.

Sunday night’s TV episode revealed the nominations we had known about for days. Dan and Steven are on the block. It seems that while Dan’s primary offense centered on game-play relative to his alliance with Brian, Steven’s big crime was in not going up to see Jessie’s HoH room.

Within the scope of the Big Brother body politik, this is probably a legitimate offense. Everybody is supposed to go up to see the HoH room as a matter of courtesy, and if I were playing I’d certainly do it as a way of not standing out. To Steven’s defense, he said he had been sleeping and didn’t even know they were all up there.

Which leads me to this: I don’t like Jessie. First, he wants to nominate Renny because of their spat the week before, and now Steven because of this. Jessie seems petty. Furthermore, he’s been making his case to other houseguests that while everybody sees him as “the body,” he’s really got brains, too.

Then why are you targeting people you hate instead of those who could impede you from winning $500,000? Petty.

I don’t know that I’d classify Steven as a “houseguest I like” at this point though, either. I’m pretty neutral on him. On the other hand, I’ve grown to like Dan, the Catholic school teacher. His insistence on loyalty despite the risk with Brian and his willingness to befriend Steven, who’s gay, despite his clear proclamation that he’s uber-conservative come across as genuine.

He seems like good people. Surely somebody out there disagrees with me, right?

In terms of a potential spoiler, we’re pretty sure that Michelle won the PoV competition and decided not to use it. I do not have that confirmed, but I am pretty sure of it. She had insisted that if she did win the PoV that she wouldn’t be using it, so the only surprise would have been if she did.

I bet Natvtxn can confirm this for us one way or the other …

April and Ollie have consummated their showmance, or at least it appears that way.

And it ties in with what has been the theme of the past 24 hours: Big Brother is horny.

Michelle, Keesha, April and Libra all talked about regretting that Big Brother didn’t at least allow them to bring their vibrators. And, at the bottom of this post, I’ve added a video from 8 p.m. BBT Sunday night in which three of the four detail their physical needs in front of Jerry.

Are you creeped out yet? You will be after watching this video!

However, back to tonight’s parlor game. Of our two older contestants, I find myself liking Renny much more than Jerry. It was super sweet though on the TV episode tonight when Jerry revealed his situation regarding his wife’s Parkinson’s disease. Libra teared up, and it was sincerely touching.

So, I’m liking both Renny and Jerry, just that I like our N’awlins socialite a tad more. On the same wavelength, they showed the food comp on TV tonight, and April had made some comment about getting stuck on the same team as the two “old people.”

I don’t like April.

I found it darned funny that it was April’s poor comp performance that hampered her team the most and that Renny was actually pretty good. The comp centered on tubs of wine that were pretty high off the ground. These tubs were designed to spill the wine to the ground below where houseguests would fill up glasses and run a ways to fill up a bottle.

Two people were stationed in each tub above to plug holes so that the other team could not get their wine. Hope I explained it in such a way that you can envision it, but the contest itself was rather anticlimactic aside from April’s inability to get plugs to her team.

Old people rock.

As for the other women, I’d say that I kind of like Keesha and April, and it’s weird. Keesha reminds me more and more of BB8’s Danielle. They sort of look a like and totally sound alike. Libra has had some tense moments this weekend, the start of her second-consecutive week on slop, but she still reminds me of a good Texas girl.

I’m an Okie by birth and by heart, but I do love Texas.

As for the only other two I hadn’t mentioned … Angie still seems to be a target for a nomination here next week or the week after. She seems very nice though, and she’s kind of hot, so I’m having a hard time not liking her. Like Libra, call me crazy, but Angie seems pretty down to Earth.

And, then there’s Memphis. Personally, I’m pretty neutral toward him relative to his game-play so far. However, he has befriended Jessie, which makes him guilty by association. In all my years of watching Big Brother, I’ve never liked anybody less after two weeks than our Iowa bodybuilder.

Is there anybody here whose favorite houseguest is Jessie? We won’t throw things at you. Promise. But, we’d love to know why!

Now for that video I promised. Get ready to feel uncomfortable, especially at that moment when Jerry tells Keesha, Michelle and Libra that he could pretend he was asleep and let them all “send him to heaven.” This is just before Michelle quips, “If you’re willing, I’m able.”

Ewww, gross! Old people still rock though.

Big Brother 10: Top 12 Rankings (And Nominations!)

*** SPOILERS INSIDE *** *** SPOILERS INSIDE *** *** SPOILERS INSIDE ***

Nominations have been made in the Big Brother house, and for the sake of those who want to follow the show primarily on TV, I’ll not reveal the noms until the bottom of this post. I’m becoming nice like that in my old age.

In the interim, let’s revive the weekly big-brother-blog.com houseguest rankings. We don’t have a ton to go by although some houseguests have made themselves targets, others are obviously not physical competitors and yet others are staying under the radar nicely.

12. Dan. His alliance with Brian in Week 1 make him a prime target right now, even though he’s essentially a fairly nice guy. A pretty basic, down to Earth fellow. Premature game-play is a killer, though.

11. Angie. Her decision to campaign for Brian in the 11th Hour is not sitting well with the house.

10. Ollie. The first for-sure floater of the BB10 proceedings thus far, his decision to betray Dan and Brian to satisfy his need for survival was a smart short-term play but probably detrimental to him long-term. Furthermore, his burgeoning romance with April will surely be perceived as a threat.

9. April. The problems with a showmance work both ways unless one player is supremely stronger than the other. We’re just not there yet, and while I don’t believe April and Ollie have consummated their showmance, if ya’ know what I mean, the other houseguests haven’t called them out as major threats yet either. It’ll happen though, you wait.

Did Evel Dick have a showmance? Did Baller? I know, I know: Boogie had one with Erika two summers ago, but Boogie had Dr. Will.

8. Jessie. Yes, he’s HoH, but it can only last a week. First, the entire house is pretty much over his physique. I don’t perceive that the women are drueling over him as they might have with Nick. In fact, Jessie might gross them out a tad.

His early conflict with Renny — make that his obsession with hating her — combined with being HoH so early in the season, even if it’s the second week, will make the house consider him both a threat and a nuisance. His upside is that he’s obviously a strong physical competitor.

7. Renny. Four days ago or so, she would have been at No. 12 or 11, but she’s been less acerbic the past few days, making friends with all the chicas. She’s got a mother hen quality, and while she’s as nutty as a fruitcake, the women love having her around. Her fate long-term likely rests on how the producers structure competitions. She needs cerebral ones to have a shot of winning any because she might be nutty, but she moves like molasses.

6. Jerry. He did probably the best he could given that he was elected HoH. Most reasonable, knowledgable players of this game wouldn’t even have tried to win the first HoH because it’s generally a killer, a target on the back of whoever wins it. However, he acquiesced to the house when they insisted on Brian’s nomination, at once a sign of willingness to compromise for the sake of peace and one of weakness.

That sign of weakness, if you will, or a lack of stubbornness could keep him around longer than we expect. Folks don’t see him as a target, and I think that’s just what he wants and needs right now. Renny poking fun of him as “the colonel” though is a hoot.

5. Steven. At this point, I really have to give away the nominations. Jessie put Steven and Dan on the block. While I can see why Jessie would put Dan up, I can’t understand Steven. In fact, Jessie has told Dan that he’s not even the target; Steven is. Of course, if Dan can win the PoV, you have to think Jessie will go after Renny.

I don’t like Jessie. Not that I’m a huge fan of Steven yet, but I’ll give him props on a couple of fronts. First, I don’t feel the need to refer to him yet as “the gay cowboy.” Not that straight players haven’t flaunted their sexuality as much if not more than gay players, but Crazy James and Joshua and Dustin made their sexualities an important component of their game-play and strategy. Now, Steven acknowledged early on that he’d use his to gain favor with the women, but he hasn’t made that an active priority.

He’s way more “regular Joe” than anything else. Very surprised he’s on the block right now, and furthermore, I think he’s a player if he can survive this week.

4. Michelle. She’s a bit sharp-tongued with a potential for emotional, like Amber. Seems to be a ton brighter than our favorite BB8 bawler, and best yet, she’s played pretty much under the radar. When it comes to comps requiring endurance and will, I can see her doing well.

3. Keesha. Aside from her brief spat with April, Keesha has also flown under the radar. She’s made friends with both Renny and Libra, showing her ability to flow between the fun side of the house and the more cerebral. She also possesses the same type of physical make-up that Michelle has, making her I think a strong contender in endurance comps later on.

2. Libra. Smart chica this one. Her ability to sniff out Ollie’s baloney last week was a display of brilliant, out-of-thin-air intuition. Given that she was hyped as the hardcore Obama Democrat, she’s hardly been political at all. In fact, she seems to be the most level-headed of anybody in the house at this point. Can’t tell how she’ll do competitively just yet, but I can’t imagine she’d stink too much. She’s not fat nor feeble, and she hasn’t caused a ton of drama either. Very strong first 10 days.

1. Memphis. I think most folks would place Bobby at the top of the list. Our resident “mixologist” is part bad-boy, part physical competitor and part funnyman. He’s the most likely to call autistic kids “retards” like Adam while coming off like the good guy, a la BB9’s Ryan. The houseguests all believe he’s a threat, but then again, they all thought (and knew) Dr. Will was, too. Didn’t mean they could beat him. To me, Memphis is the clear leader after a week and a half.

***

Since I gave away the nominations already, what else has been happening? Food comps are over, and I know that Jerry and Renny are both on slop. However, Renny’s not eating it. I think somehow she’s allowed to eat salsa or pickles or some combo thereof, rendering her super weak for the upcoming PoV should she be picked to play.

The drinks are out again tonight, but it’s not a big party. There’s some pool playing, a little convo between Steven and Angie — the aftermath of nominations made. Angie noted her surprise to Steven that she wasn’t nominated for her role in helping to campaign for Brian last week.

Libra and Keesha are chillin’ on the beds, talking, chit-chatting.

And I think Jerry might be expelling slop. Gross. Or sleeping. Much better.

Before I go, given my infatuation with the crazy side of Renny, I have to show you this clip I just posted to my YouTube channel showing Renny and Michelle talking like gangstas while playing pool. There’s no fighting or backstabbing or making out or game talk.

But there is mild insanity. Enjoy.

Big Brother 10 Stocks (and Clips!): Gerry Down, Renny Up

Wine is flowing in the Big Brother house tonight, and that means what?

Well, it’s been just a round of the “telephone” game and some charades so far. However, the night hasn’t been without its confrontation. As BBBlogger updated you earlier tonight, Gerry won the PoV and took Jessie off the block, replacing the Iowa bodybuilder with Brian, the guy who convinced Gerry to go with Jessie and Renny for nominations in the first place.

Well, after fiddling with BBReloader to get my audio settings right, I picked up on a pair of conversations between Gerry and Brian, including one where they pretty much hash out their differences.

As much as I wanted to pull for Gerry in the beginning, I’m beginning to get that sense of old-man cockiness about our resident 75-year-old. He’s spent most of the night sitting on the deck, a la Dick Donato minus the Marlboro reds. He’s all game and, unfortunately, not a ton of personality so far.

Might that be his demise?

On the other hand, I will curse this house if they DARE to get rid of Renny. She might have annoyed some of the houseguests early on, but the 53-year-old New Orleans socialite is going to make this house fun.

Why? Because she’s super unique and possibly insane.

Not that this clip shows it. In fact, this is possibly the most geriatric moment in show history with an HoH conversation between two people whose collective ages total 128. Here’s a little strategy talk between Gerry and Renny:

The vibe of the house overall right now is that Brian is a goner right off the bat, and while I can’t get a feel for how everybody is feeling about our two older houseguests, I can only speak for myself. Gerry’s stock is going way down, and Renny’s is going way up.

Not because of her game play. Just the entertainment value. She has the makings of a Big Brother legend.
