It’s Unanimous! Dan is the winner of Big Brother 10!

I love the Big Brother finale. I love the jury segments. I love the drama of the voting and the way everyone talks. I love seeing familiar faces in the crowd…alumni from Big Brother past seasons.

By far my favorite part is when they clue everyone into some of the moves that were made and the things that people did not know about…let me give you an example.

I loved it when Michelle learned about “America’s Player”. I thought it was priceless watching her facial expressions. The shock and the “I KNEW IT” look in her eyes said it all.

The other part I loved was the way we got to understand Dan’s moves and strategy. Let me tell you…he was one amazing player (not quite Dr. Will…but close!) When he was connected with Brian and Brian was out right away….he was able to fade into the background by convincing everyone he was not a threat and just let the group of 8 go after who they believed to be more of a threat and then when the 8 split and went after each other, Dan was off the radar. (Worked out so amazingly well for him) Then, when he needed to, he aligned with Memphis and the Renegades were born!

Dan and Memphis went to work. This was a very smart move since he was able to win when he could and if not, have someone who had his back when he didn’t win a HoH or Veto. VERY SMART!

Lastly, I think he was one of the smartest when it comes to forward planning. The fact that he purposely tried to mess with his relationship with Michelle and Ollie with the thought that if he was in the final 2 he would be more liked…simply amazing planning (and maybe a tad cocky) but all worked out. Everyone agreed that Dan was the Man. Jury vote was 7 - 0. Nothing against Memphis….just Dan played the game and really did Dominate.

So what do you think? Was Dan a deserving winner? Should Memphis have won? Let the world know by commenting below!

Tuesday Night Live Eviction…SPOILERS (if you have not seen Tuesdays Show)

Hey everyone. September 9th, 2009 was a Live POV ceremony and another Live Eviction and well…..as usual…it lived up to expectations.

****SPOILERS****

If you have not watched the show…then please don’t read further.

I don’t want to ruin anything for you my faithful readers of Big Brother Blog.

So…where were we? Memphis? Yeah…Memphis. This week’s POV holder. He was able to remove himself from the blog leaving him the lone vote to evict either Keesha or Jerry live.

((I think Memphis was a little drunk with power tonight))

Memphis cast his vote to evict Keesha leaving Memphis, Dan and Jerry the final 3. So one of the boys will be the last HoH and one of the boys will win Big Brother 10.

So with the final 3 known…(I all ready miss Keesha!) they moved into the final HoH competition which as expected is a 3-parter with part 1 being an endurance competition.

Now, I wish I had the job of thinking up these endurance competitions since wow….this one was a very weird in my opinion. (Bring back the “HOLD ONTO THE KEY” from BB8! I am going to call tonight’s “Come Fly with Me”…they had to stand on airplanes and basically hold on for dear life.

It was a quick comp with Dan winning.

Part 2 will be Memphis vs. Jerry and the winner will face Dan for the final HoH.

So…who is playing the best game? Who is gonna win HoH and better yet…..who is going to win Big Brother 10?

Talk with you all soon.

Peace, BBBlogger

PS: it is my 38 birthday today (Sept. 10)….in lieu of presents, please just comment away! :)

How the rest of Big Brother 10 is going to go down….

Memphis uses POV to set himself up for the Final Four. Renny or Keesha is gone in 36 hours from now.

That is what we know for sure….so here is my opinion on how the rest of the season will go down.

  • Renny will be voted out by Memphis and Dan on Thursday.
  • Final 4 will be Jerry, Keesha, Memphis and Dan.
  • Jerry is odd man out and will be evicted next.
  • Final 3 will be Keesha, Memphis and Dan.

At this point, who ever wins the final HoH will determine which of the following happens…

  • If Keesha wins…she will bring Dan and Dan will win Big Brother 10.
  • If Memphis wins…he will bring Dan and Dan will win Big Brother 10.
  • If Dan wins…he will bring Memphis and Dan will win Big Brother 10.

So…that is how I personally see it. I see Dan taking this puppy home without any issues. How do you see it? Will Jerry win POV and spoil my predictions? Is Dan really setup to win or is Memphis smart enough to pull out the victory in the end? But that is my thoughts….what are yours? Please comment away!

Peace, BBBlogger

Oh what a night….Thursday night’s Big Brother 10 recap.

….and then there were 5!

So Michelle was eliminated, which according to the poll on Big Brother Blog, everyone is very ok with her leaving over Jerry.

Next was a new HoH competition…my favorite part was the first tie breaker when both Keesha and Jerry guessed 100 lollipops! Too funny. I loved it when the live audience “gasped” when they saw it was a tie. Then Keesha was able to get the win with a larger number of seconds than Jerry for a question asking the total seconds of 3 legs of a race from an earlier competition.

Keesha turned around and nominated Ollie and Jerry.

POV was won by Dan and since Dan and Keesha have been working together as of late…Dan left the nominations alone!

So….with that, Ollie was eliminated 3-0. Ollie is now reunited with April (and it feels so good?) in the jury house.

Some commentors said it was exactly how they saw it going down, others were sad that Ollie is now out. Bottom line….5 people left and I honestly think it is anyone’s game (even Jerry!)

But it does not really matter what I think….what do YOU THINK? Please comment below!

Peace, BBBlogger

PS: ****SPOILER****READ AT OWN RISK****

From watching the Live Feeds, it looks like Jerry has won HoH this week and is guaranteed to be in the Final Four house guests! The game is going to end strong….who is going to win….who is going home next week.

Big Brother 10 Tuesday night recap

Hi Everyone!

Once again, I’m your guest blogger, while BBBlogger works on opening up the Blog’s diary room later today.

Tuesday night’s show featured America’s Choice–which houseguest should receive a telephone call from home? I think America made the right choice in choosing Jerry. As we all know, Jerry’s wife Joanne has Parkinson’s disease. I’m sure it was very reassuring for him to speak to her and know how she is doing. I must admit that seeing this part of Jerry made me feel “something” for him, but alas, only for a few moments. While checking out videos this morning, I heard him call Keesha a c*** and that changed my opinion back! I’m not saying that Keesha is or isn’t, I just think he should act his age and not speak like that. I’m old fashioned I guess! Jerry asked his wife Joanne about what she thought of his behavior in the house and she replied, “Well…” I would be so embarrassed if he were my husband.

The POV competition involved puzzle solving along with some physical strength. The contestants had to pull themselves across “space” on a wire carrying a puzzle piece and put the puzzle together. There were two preliminary heats. The winner of each heat played each other in a final heat. The first group to compete was Dan, Keesha and Michelle. Dan, once again, threw the competition. He wanted Keesha to win so he could continue to keep his hands clean. The second heat consisted of Memphis, Renny and Jerry. This was no contest. Memphis’ physical strength zipped him right across and in to the final heat. I don’t know for sure, but I think Keesha let Memphis win so that he could take himself off the block and the group could backdoor Michelle.

So knowing that Memphis would use the POV to save himself, crazy Dan comes up with an idea to play a game at the POV ceremony. He had each houseguest name their own replacement. But, he had this all staged so that each houseguest said a different name. Ollie said Renny. Renny said Ollie. Michelle said Keesha. Keesha said Michelle. At the end of this, he placed Michelle up on the block. I think it was all a bit silly if you ask me. I know his idea was to take the heat off of himself, but I think he actually made himself more of a target—especially with Renny.

At this point, I was eagerly waiting to see how CBS was going to handle Ollie’s outburst. They showed a quick clip of him throwing a lollipop and tipping over the fridge and then the show ended. If you read under yesterday’s comments, Natvtxn has an update from CBS saying to wait until Thursday to see what happens. I guess we have to, don’t we?

CBS is including America in Thursday’s upcoming HOH competition. On the website, are a number of possible future headlines. We get to vote on which houseguest we think the headline would refer to. For example, which houseguest would win the Nobel Peace Prize? One of those houseguests?—the Nobel Peace Prize?—are you serious? But anyway, that’s the idea. I assume this means that the houseguests will have to guess our answers. This puts everyone on a pretty equal footing because all they can do is guess. HOH is definitely up for grabs!

Have a great Wednesday…love bbgal08

Libra is out and Renny wins by thinking she is on Jeopardy?

In a typical Jeopardy style, Renny buzzed in and said “Who is Brian?” and Julie said correct allowing Renny to win over Keesha and claim this weeks HoH competition. I think she forgot it was Big Brother 10 and not Double Jeopardy…but it made me laugh anyway.

Also the house, and the readers of Big Brother Blog all voted for Libra to be evicted…and that she was. It was time for her to go….she was quite the stinker…

So now the “crazy lady” from the start of the show, who has mellowed out as time has gone on in the Big Brother house, now holds the power. She has said before that she would put up Ollie and April. Is that what she will do? I guess we will know soon.

Who do you think she should target? Who do you want out next?

Peace, BBBlogger

Big Brother 10 brings back America’s Player and a new HoH is crowned

It’s back to the future on Big Brother 10,
as the ghost of America’s Player returns. Oh, and we
had an endurance comp for the right to be HoH!

In other words, if you don’t want it all to be
spoiled for you, look away. If you see me walking by,
and the tears are in my eyes, look away. Baby, look
away.

OK, there’s your warning.

And, boy, were there some tears at then end of this
HoH comp. But, I’ll get to that in a moment.

We had a live eviction tonight, on Thursday, the
proper and wholesome night for Big Brother evictions.
Wednesday stunk. Thank you, Big Brother! Alas, the
night-switch couldn’t make up for the lack of drama as
Angie was ousted by a vote of 8-0.

We also had the coronation of America’s Player –
Dan.

What a perfect pick! Very much like Eric, Dan has
managed to stay alive despite his early game-play. And
very much like Eric, Dan has become kind of a goofball
among the houseguests.

Tonight’s comp was an endurance contest in which
the houseguests would stand on a ledge and hang on to
a horizontal pole as the ledge shook and debris got
heaped onto them. Given this week’s L.A. earthquake
(5.4), it was an appropriate competition.

And, finally, it was one in which Renny did
well. She finished 3rd.

However, the reason I mentioned Dan and his
goofball persona is that he spent a chunk of the
competition yelling out cheers for the final three
competitors: April, Michelle and
Renny.

They were pretty funny, but he was actually
encouraging them.

Nevertheless, after 2.5 hours, Renny dropped and
Michelle separated her freakin’ wrist, Reason No. 584
why I would never be able to be a Big Brother
contestant. Because I’m a big &%$@#. Dang, girl was in
pain.

But before Michelle dropped, April assured her that
Rhode Island Red and her wannabe boyfriend, Anabolic
Jessie, were safe. And you know Ollie is safe,
too.

I can’t say I’m too sure how the proceedings will
go down, but Jerry has not been a performer.
Furthermore, I can’t imagine it to be wise for the
house to keep Memphis around for too much longer. Do
you think he’s still underplaying it a bit?

However, April’s your new HoH … Stay tuned this
weekend to see who gets nominated!

Big Brother 10 is TWISTED! Lots of Big Brother news to share

She said there would be no twist. We heard it out of Allison Grodner’s mouth that there would be no twist…

Well…since it IS Big Brother…didn’t we all KIND OF expect something?

As revealed tonight America’s Player is returning. We get to vote via Text Message (I so need an unlimited texting plan!) and tell Big Brother who should be America’s Player for a week! I think Jerry or Renny is MY VOTE…they would TOTALLY shake the house up! I voted for Renny! You can vote here…

http://www.cbs.com/primetime/big_brother/polls/

Speaking of “Shaking the House up”, I know the house guests were all a little shook up today due to the 5.4 magnitude Earthquake that hit LA. I personally missed it on the feeds but if you watched it…comment and let us know what it was like. I did see that the feeds were cut shortly after the quake started…my guess is the producers at the time were like…WHAT THE ?!? and hit the DUMP TO THE FISHTANK button quickly! :) Honestly I am glad no one was hurt in the house and they were able to recover from it quickly. If you or your loved ones were effected by the quake, you are in my prayers!

More twisted items…what’s the deal with Ollie and April? Did these 2 think to themselves…let’s just get on TV and find someone else to be with and have our way with?? I know they have been together at least 2 times and seem to be having a lot of fun. I am not sure I think they are playing a very smart game….(however they seem to be under the radar and maybe playing the best game of them all so far) so who knows….I would LOVE to hear your thoughts on Ollie and April and their “showmance”. Is it a masterful strategy or is it just sex?

My favorite news of the week by far is that CBS figured out that Tuesday show with Wednesday show right after is too close together and is moving the show BACK TO THURSDAYS! (yeah!) So Big Brother 10’s live eviction show is on Thursday and not Wednesday this week.

Tomorrow we will open up the diary room and see who you think is going? But did Keesha do the right thing and sit on the Veto this week. I have heard a lot of people say NO and that she should have opened the back door for Libra. I personally think she did the right thing…it is only week 3 and there are still a lot of people in the house. Don’t make more enemies by making a major move this early. Keep your noms and get Jessie or Angie out. (I am hoping Jessie)

What are your thoughts…did Keesha play the Veto right this week?

Peace, BBBlogger

PS: Thanks to all of my Big Brother Blog readers for voting for Big Brother Blog and Big Brother Chat….we are now #1 and #4 on BBTop50.com! Whoo hoo! Thanks for voting! We will make sure we stay worthy of that ranking!

Big Brother 10: Nice Guys Finish … Second To Last? Steven Evicted

Do you ever get the feeling that some people are too nice to play Big Brother? That’s what I took from Steven, the cowboy evicted from BB10 by a vote of 9-0 Wednesday night.

During goodbyes from Keesha, in particular, our Dallas native teared up, something that frankly doesn’t happen that often in this game when somebody gets evicted. Typically, the eyedrops are reserved for the houseguests who survive.

Even during his attempts to campaign in the 11th hour, Steven was just not made of that steel required of a Big Brother champ. Don’t get me wrong. Anybody who can ride a bull for eight seconds is made of brass balls; however, Steven just came off as somebody who was unable to succeed at others’ expense.

Oh, he tried. But he wasn’t any good at it. Came off as disingenuous.

Good guy though. Felt bad for him, and that rarely happens for me on this show.

Dan’s strategy of looking like a weak player worked, at least for this week. In the diary room, he’s talking as if he’s kind of maneuvering things at his own pace while in reality he merely defeated a guy who was never going to be any good at being cut-throat.

Nevertheless, the house focus seems to be on “The Floaters,” comprised of Dan, Steven, Jerry and Renny. It’s not a strong, narrow focus, just something brought up by Libra and her crew.

That crew counts the aforementioned and bountiful Keesha as a member. She by the way is the new Head of Household, having won a game of “guess-where-the-missing-stuff-used-to-reside.” Not only was she sympathetic to Brian in Week 1, she was to Steven this week.

Keesha is a softie. She is horny, too, as she and every other woman in the house proclaimed this week. Keesha has been able to get along with Libra, who has worked well with April and Ollie.

On the other side of the house, we have Jessie, Michelle, Dan and Memphis, which might even mean Angie at this point given that she’s become pretty close to Memphis. For those counting at home, Michelle and Jessie are headed toward a possible showmance and so is Angie and Memphis.

This is in addition to the nasty nasty done by Ollie and April this week. Don’t think your preacher dad was applauding that, Ollie. Don’t get me wrong; I applauded. But his dad? Don’t think so.

You had to see the show to get it, I guess.

Aside from Jerry and Renny though, the lines are pretty well drawn, and Libra and Keesha talked earlier this week that tensions were high enough that only one move from one side of the house could engage the beginnings of all-out war.

And I say “Bring it on!”

But, first, I’m not sure what side I like. I think it’s Keesha’s side because she seems personable. On the other hand, I don’t like April and Ollie at all.

Then again, I can’t stand Jessie. Can Not Stand. C A N N O T S T A N D.

But which of these two major factions is your favorite, and why? With which do you think Renny and Jerry will eventually land?

Side note: Renny was pretty hot as a younger woman, and she’s not ugly now. Not by any means. Still a big fan of hers, and I think it’s super smart that she and Jerry are not in either group for the moment. Wouldn’t it be a hoot if they were the Final 2?

Alas, my favorite of the two factions is Keesha’s. But barely.

I suspect Jessie and Dan get put up on the block this week. Gut hunch.

Big Brother 10 Women Tell Jerry They’re Horny! (Ewwww …)

We’ve got a ton to get to, including a possible spoiler. However, let’s play a little game of Who We Like vs. Who We Hate.

Sunday night’s TV episode revealed the nominations we had known about for days. Dan and Steven are on the block. It seems that while Dan’s primary offense centered on game-play relative to his alliance with Brian, Steven’s big crime was in not going up to see Jessie’s HoH room.

Within the scope of the Big Brother body politik, this is probably a legitimate offense. Everybody is supposed to go up to see the HoH room as a matter of courtesy, and if I were playing I’d certainly do it as a way of not standing out. To Steven’s defense, he said he had been sleeping and didn’t even know they were all up there.

Which leads me to this: I don’t like Jessie. First, he wants to nominate Renny because of their spat the week before, and now Steven because of this. Jessie seems petty. Furthermore, he’s been making his case to other houseguests that while everybody sees him as “the body,” he’s really got brains, too.

Then why are you targeting people you hate instead of those who could impede you from winning $500,000? Petty.

I don’t know that I’d classify Steven as a “houseguest I like” at this point though, either. I’m pretty neutral on him. On the other hand, I’ve grown to like Dan, the Catholic school teacher. His insistence on loyalty despite the risk with Brian and his willingness to befriend Steven, who’s gay, despite his clear proclamation that he’s uber-conservative come across as genuine.

He seems like good people. Surely somebody out there disagrees with me, right?

In terms of a potential spoiler, we’re pretty sure that Michelle won the PoV competition and decided not to use it. I do not have that confirmed, but I am pretty sure of it. She had insisted that if she did win the PoV that she wouldn’t be using it, so the only surprise would have been if she did.

I bet Natvtxn can confirm this for us one way or the other …

April and Ollie have consummated their showmance, or at least it appears that way.

And it ties in with what has been the theme of the past 24 hours: Big Brother is horny.

Michelle, Keesha, April and Libra all talked about regretting that Big Brother didn’t at least allow them to bring their vibrators. And, at the bottom of this post, I’ve added a video from 8 p.m. BBT Sunday night in which three of the four detail their physical needs in front of Jerry.

Are you creeped out yet? You will be after watching this video!

However, back to tonight’s parlor game. Of our two older contestants, I find myself liking Renny much more than Jerry. It was super sweet though on the TV episode tonight when Jerry revealed his situation regarding his wife’s Parkinson’s disease. Libra teared up, and it was sincerely touching.

So, I’m liking both Renny and Jerry, just that I like our N’awlins socialite a tad more. On the same wavelength, they showed the food comp on TV tonight, and April had made some comment about getting stuck on the same team as the two “old people.”

I don’t like April.

I found it darned funny that it was April’s poor comp performance that hampered her team the most and that Renny was actually pretty good. The comp centered on tubs of wine that were pretty high off the ground. These tubs were designed to spill the wine to the ground below where houseguests would fill up glasses and run a ways to fill up a bottle.

Two people were stationed in each tub above to plug holes so that the other team could not get their wine. Hope I explained it in such a way that you can envision it, but the contest itself was rather anticlimactic aside from April’s inability to get plugs to her team.

Old people rock.

As for the other women, I’d say that I kind of like Keesha and April, and it’s weird. Keesha reminds me more and more of BB8’s Danielle. They sort of look a like and totally sound alike. Libra has had some tense moments this weekend, the start of her second-consecutive week on slop, but she still reminds me of a good Texas girl.

I’m an Okie by birth and by heart, but I do love Texas.

As for the only other two I hadn’t mentioned … Angie still seems to be a target for a nomination here next week or the week after. She seems very nice though, and she’s kind of hot, so I’m having a hard time not liking her. Like Libra, call me crazy, but Angie seems pretty down to Earth.

And, then there’s Memphis. Personally, I’m pretty neutral toward him relative to his game-play so far. However, he has befriended Jessie, which makes him guilty by association. In all my years of watching Big Brother, I’ve never liked anybody less after two weeks than our Iowa bodybuilder.

Is there anybody here whose favorite houseguest is Jessie? We won’t throw things at you. Promise. But, we’d love to know why!

Now for that video I promised. Get ready to feel uncomfortable, especially at that moment when Jerry tells Keesha, Michelle and Libra that he could pretend he was asleep and let them all “send him to heaven.” This is just before Michelle quips, “If you’re willing, I’m able.”

Ewww, gross! Old people still rock though.
