I’m actually done watching BB8, Give me the sequester house!

Excellent analysis BBB to start this new Comment section for tonight.
I did gain added respect for Dick at the end. Honestly, did not expect him to do as well as he did against Zach in Part 1 and then, to be the one to go against Z in Part 3 and become final HoH.

All those who said Dick was rude to Zach… NO WAY. They both (D and Z) showed mutual respect for each other. I DVRed these last episodes and reviewed them. Total Respect. And, when Julie said Dick did his verbal deal on Zach for hours…she exaggerated. It was less than an hr Dick ranted. And, btw, Zach gave it right back.

We also missed some things Z did to Dani because she brought it up in the goodbye speech and Zach agreed. So, it was ALL game for all 3 of them.

For me, this was the best BB season. And, I agree,…Dick gains a side by side spot with Will for best BB player ever! I don’t think either will ever lose that spot to any future players.

As for it being ‘Rednecks’…as Verbal Kint and Others have portrayed Dick and Dani…well, money talks. BS walks. Dick was no BSer like some nappy pampy yuppies are.

Reckon Jeff Foxworthy…and Larry, cable guy….are rednecks…which they admit to…and rollin’ in the mooola.

Most of you people who put Dick down for his ways are the same people who pay money to go to Comedy Clubs to hear cussing, crude maneuvers and a lot of stuff even worse than Dick did… AND… you laugh and love it. Gotta luv it when you come on here and put the Ds down without thinking first.

I don’t care anymore. They both won.

All I can say is……YES!!!! GO DONATO’S!!!! I am so happy for you both!

The two people who played the best game are the two people left standing – Daniele and Dick, well done!!!

They are both winners – no matter which one receives the most votes, Just great – I knew they could do it!!!!

I personally think Dani meant it when she said she loves her dad…mainly due to the way she said it and the look in her eyes. If it was for show, I believe Dani would have said it loudly and in a different tone. She looked Dick in the eye and whispered…’I love you’.

That added to the fact that when she realized how much paid Dick was in…she told him to quit…and, after he got down, she made sure he had plenty of blankets and warm tea.

If one noticed…she also brought Zach a blanket…but, she made sure her dad had two, then, she went and got him another one.

I’d bet a lot of the bad stuff Zach said to Dani was when it was off live feed. Noone heard it…but, in her closing goodbye video to Z, both of them (Dani and Zach) knew what she was referring to.

Because Dick is a friend, I *want* him to win. And it’s true, he did play the game as it was meant to be played, but I can honestly say that not once was he ever untrue to the Dick that we know and love.

I was soooo excited, to tell the truth!

And if only he and Dani can actually get a true reconciliation out of this, then life will be veddy veddy good.

BTW thanks for the great posts. Been reading for weeks now and got way more info than any other sites.

If he is a tre friend to you Marie than I am truly jealous as I can tell Dick would be someone great to have on your side. They were the best players and the most entertaining as well. Dick had his moments where you wanted to hate him but in the end I only admire the game. Well done Donato’s!!!

I find it amusing to watch those suggest that Dick played the game the way it was made to be played. Had Zach ‘grown a pair’ and used the POV to remove Eric from the block thus forcing the outster of Danielle or come up with a win when needed at the end it would have been him and Dick and a 6 Zach and 1 Dick vote since in the end the game is just as much about making sure you kill people but still make them want to vote you in which Dick did not do.

The reality is that were America not so myopic and not into supporting/hero worshiping a ‘bully’ with ‘tude’, (someone they would in reality walk across the street to avoid passing), then he would have been gone before Dustin. He did not play this game well, he simply lucked out due to Eric and despite his “quote great gameplay” he in fact has misinterpreted almost everything, including the fact that were he up against anyone except Danielle he would be creamed..

I mean really in the end is this is really the message the show wants to send? Be a jerk, a bully and an ass and you will succeed? Anyone who compares the Elegant game play of Dr. Evil to Dick doesn’t get the nuance of the game. There is no comparison between the best player ever in Big Brother and the fact the game placed a cobra amongst a bunch of kittens and was able to get his way.

Sadly for myself seconds after I saw Dick won the HOM I stopped watching. I mean really why bother at this point. Why watch a guaranteed 50/50 split of the money let alone have to listen to the kittens whine how mean Dick was, (they had their chance to kill him), or to Dick go on about his strategy which was nothing but an America Choice based on some strange premise. The show is over for me and I wonder whether it will be the lowest rated final two episodes…

I have to agree with you Ted. I’ve just watched tonight’s episode, and I no longer feel a need to watch the show. Even if they weren’t going to be splitting the money 50/50.
I’ve disliked the Donatos and their gameplay since the beginning. Dick (couldn’t have a more fitting name) is nothing but a bully, and has been since DAY 1. And Danielle, with her “I can’t believe just 10 weeks ago, I wouldn’t have cared if he went home at any time.” (paraphrased) What the hell is she talking about? Just a couple weeks ago she was talking shit about Dick. It just seems if Dick hadn’t come through for her, and kept her in the game, then she wouldn’t have anything to do with him. I’ll bet you anything: within a year, she won’t be talking to him again. Unless he has more to offer her. That’s just how she strikes me.
It may seem evil of me, but when she was crying about being sooo cold. And crying in the shower and what not, I laughed out loud. So funny, so deserved.
One last thing… I hope Danielle’s bf back at home has seen the true evil that is Danielle, and kicks that bitch to the curb. Regardless of money.

Well guys here we are … final two … Dick and Danielle … kidda leaves a bad taste in mouth but it is what it is. Dick may be the most vile person to ever play Big Brother; however, he also may be the best! I went from extreme dislike relative to how he abused the house guests to amazement at how seemingly afraid the others were to evict him. Dick should win based on being the best player. Danielle should use her “share” of the prize money to complete her education. She deserves to be more that a “Hooters” girl (no slur intended.) I just believe she has the potential to achieve whatever she wants to do in this life.

Can you really say that the evil D’s are the best players this year??? I contend that eric played a great game and if it were not for him, the evil D’s would have been evicted long ago… and I say Eric only because he as able to manipulate the other HG into voting for who he was pushing for (america’s chioce)… So the evil D’s Great Players — I say No, Good players yes, but not Great… Eric I feel is the only one that came close to great…

I would also say that about Eric, I wonder how he would have done without the AP twist??? Being AP gave him a focus and something to strive for… and he was able to get most of the people targeted out, but I wonder if he would have been as masterful on his own… and of course, competition wise, he sucked, but he still made F5…

I went to Busch Gardens about 15 years ago. At that time, they displayed a dead aligator in a glass tank with trash sending a message that the publics polution killed the aligator.

David, 15 years ago there was a glass tank (No Water) the aligator was hung upside down (Tail end up) the aligator was indeed dead. There was also a sign posted above the tank saying (The result of human polution) or something like that. I was very disturbed by that.

My cats & I celebrated the win for D&D by attempting a flyover…however, we got word that the CIA was investigating us for some reason. They said we needed to speak with someone named David??? BTW, for those of you who recall, I parachuted my cat Ozzy down to the BB house because I’d heard that Zach was allergic. This was in an attempt to shake up Zach’s game. It obviously worked quite well, indeed.

Ozzy did a great job and will be rewarded next week with the “Felix” award. This is given only to the most prestigious of kitty acts in honor of Felix the cat. I’m so proud…

Dick should have been taken out of the game merely because he was a health risk to the rest of the house. Spitting! Why would BB not tell him to stop! He was and is disgusting!

David, I wasn’t responding to anyone in particular, just what seems to be a general consensus about Dani and Dick’s relationship. I’m sorry, but as disagreeable as Dick is in every way to me, I think he must be a constant source of embarrassment to Dani. By way of an explanation for the way Dani interacts with him. I’m not questioning his love for his children. That’s been evident all along.

By the way people, I was looking around online trying to find out what the percentage the tax on their winnings would be. I saw one article that claimed American game/reality show winnings are taxed at like 37%. Then I went to irs.gov and looked at the income tax table for 2007 and it’s pretty close. On 500k for head of household – it’s a flat amt of $98,355.50 + 35% of anything over $349,700.00 (which would total at $52,605.00) adding the two amts together, the actual tax this year would have been $150,960.50. So, the winner would walk away with $349,039.50. That’s just what I found on the IRS site. I’m not sure what the State/local taxes would be. Still worth it in my book. Especially since it’s more than I would have walked through the door with. Any tax experts out there care to clarify or give us any insights?

What is so lame is how Daniele told Dick that she loved him and called him Dad when throughout the summer she has not wanted much to do with him. She is a whiney baby who is only sucking up to Dick because of the money. I am bummed that either of them are in the final 2, but the lesser of the two evils (no pun intended) is Dick so I hope he wins.

lexi, we all seem to walk away with a different impression. My impression is that this summer Dani has seen how much her dad loves her. She has slowly grown closer to him and is realizing what she has in him. She is still a whiney brat but I do not believe that her affections have been game play.

Yes we all do interpret what we see differently. I think it would be very interesting to check up on them one month after the show ends to see if they are even talking to eachother. I would imagine they would not be. Apparently there was a lot of stuff that happened and Daniele was vocal about their past together and said over and over again that no one understands what she had to go through for all those years. That is why I don’t believe that she is 100% sincere in her actions in the game. She may see this as an opportunity to grow closer, however if things are as bad between them as Daniele has led everyone to believe, then I would think it would be very difficult to all of a sudden start saying I love yous to someone who had caused so much pain over an extended period of time.

So it’s been a couple of days.. time to ask the real questions.

Big Brother has been suggested to be the most producer manipulated games out there, (it only came to light this year that the previous airplane messages were in fact paid for by CBS), and having watched the Tuesday and Thursday episodes again I have this terrible feeling that this may have crossed the line. The first HOH challenge was set up to be a Danielle win but a mistake was made in that Danielle couldn’t handle the cold water, (I mean all 3 were on the same sized small platform, Dick and Zach were fighting to stay in place while Danielle was doing reverse twists and landing with lots of room), but the last HOH almost felt scripted. No enthusiasm or attitude by either player. 6 questions, DONE and Zach looking like he is wondering how he is going to explain his failure for information he should have known.

Let us not forget that the difference between the 1950′s Game Show scandal and today’s world is that these players sign off on a legal document that is the size of a NASA propulsion system binder. The America’s choice has made no sense… people loved Danielle and then out of nowhere hate her when it doesn’t matter? It is all too questionable, all too obvious.

I know that they have produce a show that people will want to watch but never have I felt that a show has been so contrived near the end.

The final reality speaks to this Tuesday… the Big Brother finale will not lead into any new show or even a hurting show.. just NCIS which exists as the pleasure of the current cast and who could give a rats ass whether it ends or not.

Like I said before I stopped watching the second I saw Zach look into the eyes of his handler and put B and then watched Dick place B in response… I truly hope the last two episodes get the worst ratings effort such that the show will return to what it was.

Second place wins the $50,000. Not Fourth Place. Not Third Place. The house guests receive $2,500 per week for airtime and weekly salery. The sequestered Jury also receives $2,500. They do not get $50,000 for getting to final 4.

Watching the Showtime nightly feeds, I get the feeling (now that all the in-house competitions are over) that Daniele is STILL playing the game. She is putting Dick through the wringer emotionally. She figures if she can keep him kissing her behind and he wins, he’ll give her half the money. I think Dick is wising up slowly but surely. I have never been so tired of one person (Daniele) saying “shut up”. It’s her favorite expression. She is a bona fide mess. I certainly hope she doesn’t win or Dick is really screwed. He’ll never see her again and she’ll convince him it’s his fault.

As far as BB8 goes, I think they might have some legal problems down the line due to the America’s Player twist. This was unknown to all and therefore was certainly not included in their contracts. The houseguests thought they were chosen to play by one set of rules, yet they actually were subjected to another set of rules unknown to them. This definitely cost Justin his place in the house. Dick and Daniel would have been out weeks ago. Eric has played Jessica via her girlish emotions–right up to this very moment to try and keep the lid on things. I’m afraid when the guests figure this all out (especially Jessica) and when they’re informed of the secret rules they did not sign up to play, they and some very crafty lawyers who will seek them out, will make CBS pay. I think the producers should pay. Their game was a form of entrapment.

Whoever thought up the “America’s Player” twist at CBS should be fired. For me, it did not give me a “pure” Big Brother sense of competition — but a loaded one of which the players were not aware. Hopefully if there is a BB9, they’ll just let the rules of old apply and thefore the best player will eventually win. This is the first year we had a set of team players (Dick & Daniele) and this was an unfair advantage for the others and then you mix in the AP factor and you have a competely out of whack set of rules. BB8 will be kinown as the year the contestants were not not allowed to play the game by the rules.

Also there is a rumor going about that a couple of house guests will be on Amazing Race. I imagine it will be Amber & Jameka. None of the others would be interesting enough. “Around the world in tears and talks with God” would be their motto.

Hello everyone, I just finished watching House Calls from friday and found out that if Eric were to reveal AP to anyone or not do (vote) AP he would lose any money he earned or would be given, it is in his contract. For the above post the house guests (players) all sign a contract and having twists are all part of the game what ever they may be. I for one went in and cast my vote for AP for the first time (hey, better late then, well never). Tuesday is the big night and hopefully down the road they can have a Big Brother Reunion show or something like that to catch up on the SEVENTY-FIVE house guests. That is the number the lady rep from house calls stated! That is a lot of people to have played the game since I still recall the first game and wondering if there would even be a second season. Looking forward to Tuesday night. One more thing I have watched BB After Dark and found that D and D relationship is harder now that they are alone and with out the compitions and such. I do hope that they at least have a start of a relationship again, It is a spark in the fact that know one else close to them (family and close friends) have this experience. They each only have one dad, one daughter. Not that I can talk as my relationship with my parents was not great.

Well, it appears that the idiot jury is as I suspected. They will vote based on PERSONAL play, rather than game. They will more than likely vote for Dick to win, which is absolutely what I want, but they are totally discounting Dani’s game and fierce competitiveness. Although she won more than anyone, they told her she rode her father’s coattails, which could not be further from the truth. I still believe they are the best team in BB history; that Dick is the best player of all time, and that this jury is as bad as the idiot jury that served on the OJ case. What a bunch of jokers.

I see nothing wrong with voting on a personal level as that is part of the game. I do think the jury if they vote ED (not that I am a fan in any way. shape or form should have the money rather then Dani). Given the choice between these two I am wanting Ed to win.

I have heard 3 people say this in the blog but all three have failed to provide a link or source. If you state something as “fact’ back it up please. According to several web sites CBS has sent cease and desist orders to at least one pilot to stop him from flying banners. They also have scouts watching for them and hustle te houseguests inside when they are spotted. This I have seen on the live feeds myself.

The one we know for sure they saw was sent during an endurance competition so they could not rush the HGs inside.

mattmac, my grievance is that Ted thinks it is not a theory and is instead fact. And I disagree with your opinion that neither Donato deserves to win. Maybe you do not like their tactics, but it is hard to deny that they worked.

As for the conspiracy theories. They are certainly convenient in explaining why YOUR favorite player did not win. No doubt that the producers tinker to help ratings, but that is a far cry from direct manipulation to ensure the competitions end with thier desired results.Of all the reality shows I feel Big Brother is the least manipulated due to the difficulty of doing so. BB is the only reality show that can be watched almost 24/7. On Survivor, the cameras are on them a few hours a day (not live, but recorded for the producers to tweak and edit) and the rest of the time who knows what is hapenning. There has been speculation (such as in this blog) that BB Producers manipulate the game, but in Survivor it has been proven and admitted.

I did like D&D in the beginning. Then they started getting on my nerves. But that really doesn’t matter. At this point it doesn’t matter who wins. That is the disappointing part. They both win. There is nothing to look forward to now. There is no point rooting for your favorite. There is really no point in even voting. The only reason I’m going to watch the finale is to hear what the jury has to say and to see their reaction when they find out about America’s player. But I do feel that the jury will vote for Daniele because they like her better as a person. I don’t think any of them want either of the Donato’s to win and since they are the only ones left and they have to give their vote to someone they will give it to the person they liked better. Either way it doesn’t matter and that is a big let down.

the voters should all abstain & really tinker with the BB8 producers, neither of the D&D’s should be where they are but it is the rest of the players that were too intimidated to do anything about it so what is just is so next season we should jsut all vote for the biggest ahole and give him or her the money up front because like a previous poster commented, its what people really tune in to see anyway. Good riddens BB8 and lets hope for a better cast next year, now we can focis on all the other fun reality shows coming up. Can’t wait for Flava of Luv 3!!!

LOL, god! Yes I agree they are gonna give money to Dick and of course it is all his fault cuz Dani thinks that he is campaigning against her. OMG!!!!! I wanted to just scream. That’s what’s I really hate the most. You will have people trying out for the show having a similar temperament, personality, etc. as Dick, since he appeared to be good for ratings.

I missed the tea over Jen’s head earlier but saw it in the recap show last night. The producers should have shown Dick the door then. Nothing anyone can say that should cause you to pour liquid, over their head. Jen was arguing with Daniele (she should be given an Emmy for her performance, the feeds and BBAD showed one side, and thrice weekly produced showed another), and he comes in picks on someone, half his age, or young enough to be his daughter. And, regarding their fight. She was already sitting outside, and then he comes up and blows smoke in her direction. But she ended up with a penalty vote.

Yes, it was a game, but the game had rules and regulations, and he continuously broke and violated them.

We should set up a time for everybody to go to the chat room, everytime I go no one is there.

Technically I don’t believe they can split the winnings. BB rule, it doesn’t matter if they are related. If either gives the other a gift they can be in for some heavy tax issues.

I found this season extremely dull. America’s player was a big dud. One of the first rules when playing has always been to break up teams and alliances, if you could find them, in this case it was announced and one even tried.

I’m not sure if I will even watch tomorrow, I don’t think either deserve to win. As far a Dick having a “tactic”, by bullying and name calling, that wasn’t a tactic that was a mean person who couldn’t control himself. He raged the most when someone did to him the exact same thing he had done to someone else the week before.

A prime example of a spoiled brat. Maybe in that case Danielle should win just for playing her father so well.

I am going to have to completely disagree with verbal abuse being JUST WORDS as it has been proven time after time that it is eather as damaging or more damaging to people. We are adults but I can tell you that vebal abuse is no less abusive then getting punched.

VegasGirl, I do not disagree with you, however there is a difference to me personally if I am verbally abused by someone I do not give a crap about and someone who is part of my life in some way. If some stranger on the street started cursing at me (and I was reasonably assued it would not escalate to violence) then I would not be overly concerned or bothered.

But none of that is pertinent to the debate. Is there a rule in the house that states you cannot yell at someone else? Or perhaps a rule that tries to differentiate between “normal arguing” and “abusive language”. What this boils down to is the people claiming that dick should have been punished for his language. On what basis? Based on what rule that he was aware of? Was he warned when he first started escalating? No.
Must you agree that it was right? Of course not. Hate him personally all you want.
But I get tired of hearing how he should be penalized for it.
