The server move has been completed and if you are reading this you are seeing www.Big-Brother-Blog.com up on its new Dedicated server! **yeah** Sorry for all the issues. Just to put everything that was going on in perspective, I was told that www.Big-Brother-Blog.com was taking up 46% of the servers resources it was on. The server hosted hundreds of other sites and because of my site they were having issues with everything from email to just slowness on their sites! But now we are all alone on our own server and we can resume where we left off!
So as it stands in the Big Brother House, Round 1 of the HoH competition when to Zach in a long 7.5 hour endurance competition. Round 2 consisted of Dani vs. Dick which most thought Dick would give to Dani and allow her to compete against Zach for the Final HoH. Well, as unpredictable as a magic ping pong ball, Dick defeated Dani to win Round 2! (Go Figure!)
So the Live HoH competition tonight will be Dick vs Zach! One of them will win the final HoH and then they will be able to pick the person who will go with them to the final 2. However if Zach wins, it is could be either Dick or Dani.
To me the interesting drama of this is the last competition will be Dick’s chance at beating Zach. I can only imagine how the 7 1/2 hours messed with Dick’s head so much that he cannot think of anything more rewarding then winning this final HoH! That will make tonights live Round 3 very exciting to watch.
With that I open up the official Big Brother Blog diary room. Tell us what you forsee….tell us who the final 2 will be….we are again open for business!

Unfortunately, I think Zach will show us what he’s been hiding for the majority of the game, that he can own up when he needs to. Zach and Dani at the final.
But seriously, 7.5 hours!?? It’s amazing Dick doesn’t walk out in some serious medical condition. I mean when youre dealing with this kind of money, CBS should be aware of how far people are willing to go (and how dangerous it could be for the competitors).

I’m going out on a limb to make an actual post. I’ve been reading the posts for quite a while and I’m not going to get into who is more disgusting than whom, or whether not playing is a better strategy than playing dirty, etc.
I think Dick and Daniele probably had the most difficult situation from the beginning, on a personal level. The reasons are obvious to anyone who has been paying attention, and everyone here has been paying attention.
In watching the goings on, I have noticed Dick’s interactions and body language with Daniele and hers with him. He appears to be genuinely happy when she is happy and suffers when she is sad. He appears more inspired when he is doing something that will benefit her as much or more than him. He very much wants to step up to the plate for her. This environment is not of his choosing, but he is here, and she is here and he wants to do his best for her and he very much wants her to be proud of him. Listening to the way he talks to her, he is gentle and understanding with her. He is reassuring, rarely critical, and tries to bolster her confidence and self esteem.
There is no doubt that he is awkward in this. It looks like he has never done anything like this before and here he is trying to do it in this atmosphere. He has known from the beginning that if he is to reconcile at all he has to strike while the iron is hot. He couldn’t very well go up to her on day one and tell her that they’d get together when the whole thing was over and chat.
Do they both have issues? Oh, yeah. Lots. Daniele is young, it’s true, but she’s old enough to have outgrown some of the behavior she displays. I’m convinced she recognizes Dick’s intentions and his deep and fatherly affection for her and I feel that she shares his feelings at some level. She even finally told him she loves him. I think she lacks the life experiences to be able to share all of her feelings with him in front of cameras, the stress of the competitions, etc. Plus, she has to try to remain “cool” at all times. It’s a youth thing.
Look at Dick when he’s been on that stump with water hitting him in the face for 6+ hours. Look at him looking over at Daniele and be honest with yourself. That wasn’t Dick standing there, that was Daniele’s dad. It was she, his little girl, who was giving him strength. Others have said he wants to win for her. I believe you are right. That’s what dads do. He might not have realized these feelings for her until he spent this time with her, or this time with her may have rekindled those feelings in him. But I am convinced that they are there. There’s not a dad I know of who wouldn’t jump in front of a bus for his child. I firmly believe that instinct is strong in Dick.
They are experiencing a relationship on a whole other level than what the game is all about and at a level that none of the other players can get close to.
I said before, they have issues that won’t be solved by this game’s experience. If Daniele wins the money, who knows what she’ll do with it. If Dick wins the money, I think he’ll enjoy some of it for himself, but I think he’ll also stick to his word and take care of his children with it.
If Zach wins the money, well, I haven’t really thought about it. Nobody much, throughout the game, wanted him playing in their sandbox. He must give off a bad vibe of some kind. Who knows. He reminds me of “hangers on” that we all experienced in college. Not really part of any group, just kind of hung out and hoped for the best. Always with the big smile, just hoping it’ll work.
Call me names, flame if you must. It’s all good. I think that we’ve seen something a little special during this game. Something BB didn’t plan on. We saw some actual reality on a “reality” show; the last place you’d expect it. Just maybe, a father and his daughter will mend fences. Wouldn’t that be a pretty good thing?

I do agree with Mike that subjecting the players to that type of exposure just because they didn’t have a contingency plan for the bunny going off the track is pretty irresponsible.
Even the Navy SEALs, some of the most fit and motivated young men in the world, have a medic present, on the beach, in the sand with them when they are going through their training. These excellently conditioned young men are checked out by this medic on a regular basis, whether they like it or not, even when they are showing no symptoms of anything wrong.
The show would have certainly survived had everybody gone back inside while the brain trust gotten together and come up with something more resembling a big brother competition and not SEAL hell week.

Well Zach and Dick head to head not what I expected but that may work to Zach’s favor. I think it could be a 50/50 on this one guys and Zach may pull yet another HOH. I am hoping for that outcome anyway. If our come back kid Zach does win HOH I do think that Dick will urge him to keep Dani and send him home … but Zach has the best chance of winning the jury votes with Dick. The HG do not LIKE Dick and I don’t think that they respect his game play … JMO …
Dick just went over the top too many times.
Now Dani on the other hand although they may not really like her they probably do respect her game play… that girl is awesome at competitions … even I have to give Dani her due. I hope this has open her eyes somewhat on a personal level with her Dad and they can mend their relationship . You can say a lot of rude crude things about Dick … because he is a nasty … person but you can tell behind all that hair dye , ink and black nail polish … he loves his kids and as shown that he is willing to do anything … even stand in a man made CAT 5 … for them … so what more could you ask for in a father. I don’t like him and I don’t want him to win but I can respect him for that reason.
So that being said my choice to Win is Zach … I can’t predict this one it is too tough to call … wonder what the odds are for Dick to take it all in Vegas???

dear 1st. timer at 4:54am. my dear sir i could just kiss you..you are echoing my sentiments exactly…for dick big brother was way more about his daughter than winning the money. i am so glad to see that others have seen this. people always worry about “who deserves the money” perhaps dick does not deserve the money any more than zach or jameka..but he does deserve to win the game..it has become a metaphor for life. yes..the show is called big brother but this season has been the season of the donato’s. if you don’t like them..turn off the tv..big brother will be back next year and there will be 14 new players. those you love and those you love to hate. i admire dick for what he is doing..i may not always agree with his methods…but i still admire him. laugh at me if you will…poke fun and call names. it won’t bother me..and to the person from last night who said if i love dick so much i should marry him…well. i would like to get to know dick and could probably easily fall for him. i think that if dick is in your corner he would fight to the death to protect you and take care of you . daniele is a spoiled little brat i know..but i also think she is a beautiful young girl under her bravado and she brings out my mothering insticts. i would be honored to be dick’s wife and daniele’s mother. so dick..if you happen to read this..i am available! and to 1st. timer at 4:54am. here’s a big kiss from me to you!

I tend to agree with Alex’s mom and First timer. Dick reminds me of a guy that I knew in college. When the going got tough he would hurt your feelings… Defense mechanism.. I still think that Dick could have reaped more havoc laying low and showing what he was capable of rather than maliciously stripping folks to the soul with his words. Enough about that…. First timer nailed it, and I like “Alex’s Mom” was so happy to see someone else GET IT !!! Very insightful !! I would just like to point out this little tidbit. Yes Dani and Dick had a tough game and their personal stuff had to complicate things way worse than anyone is aware of, BUT….. In group situations the human response is pretty consistent…”the runt effect” and Zach was it. People bond together by singling out a person to exclude. Take a moment and think of how it must have felt to be in that house and being hated by everyone it for literally no apparent reason. It’s a case of the last person picked and we all know how bad that sucks. Then you become even more insecure and over compensate and try to hard and that perpetuates the hate. I think Zach earned his stripes. It’s really difficult to be that runt. Especially when you have no recourse.
any other like-thinkers out there? Honestly, I can be happy with 2 outcomes Dick or Zach, but if it’s Danielle I might flip out.

Alex’s Mom, I agree with you EXCEPT about wanting to be Dani’s mom and Dick’s wife. Won’t go quite that far, but I sure do see that he loves his daughter and I think Dani is just a little young and immature is all, but still her whining does get completely on my nerves. I see the good and the bad in them all.
I am totally shocked it is going to be Zach and Dick in the Final HOH comp. I think if it is not something that is physical then Dani would be the strongest competitor. Did Dani let him win or did Dick fight it out with her? Kind of surprised with that one.

alex’s mom, Dani brings out my mothering instincts too. The part where I tell her that she is not too big to be taken over my knee. On a personal level I see no redeeming qualities in that young woman at all. Not someone I would choose to have in my life. I know that when my daughter was Daniele’s age we had our issues but they were our issues. It didn’t change the basic goodness in her and that was always there for all to see. Try as I might I cannot see any of those qualities in Daniele. Makes me really grateful for what I have.

Hey Eileen, the one thing I do want to say about your post is that we do have to remember, (even though it is hard sometimes) that they are closed up in a house with each other for soooooo long with no outside distractions or stimulations and no privacy at all. I do believe she is spoiled but I also think the flaws in their personalities are magnified in these types of situations. But yes, I agree, I would definitely have to send her to room WITH supper!!! LOL

The love he has shown for Dani has brought me to tears at times, only because I can totally relate to the pain of thier relationship. Vivian what you say is correct. It’s an exaggerated environment for sure. But heck, if we can see redeeming qualities in Dick in spite of his horrible antics, one would think that something would shine through from Dani. Not yet for me though anyway. Maybe after the finale I will be able to say Eureka! I would like nothing better to be able to eat my words where Dani is concerned, for the sake of her family and all those who inhabit her world.
On another note, I am catching up on the live feed recaps from yesterday. Seems Dick is really pissed at the producers because they are going to be reviewing the blue ball situation. Would like to hear about the 2nd comp. too, anyone? I would like to think Zach will pick Dick, as I would prefer Dick get the money instead of the brat. I believe he will take care of his kids and his parents. I still say Dani will blow it all on herself if she were to get it and we’ll see them on Jerry Springer soon.
Regardless of Dick’s personal insults during the game, I think he will get a lot of support. There may be some animosity still about Zach, but what did he really do to anyone but try to fit in? I just think he was obviously above the intelligence level of most HG and just couldn’t relate, that’s why he sometimes appeared “dumb” because he was trying so hard. I’ve liked him since the start and would love to see him win. I think it will be interesting to see what he’ll do with the money.

Can’t find too much info on the comp from yesterday either. All talk of it is being blocked. Lots of recapping about how pissed Dani was about losing though. Then to add insult to injury the poor child had to start her packing which was more than she could deal with. She told Dick that all this folding was really hurting her arms. Said if Jameka were still there that she would pack for her. Huh???

I think Zach will once again win HoH as he has been keeping track of events way better than Dick. Then Zach will eliminate Daniele leaving him against Dick in the final 2. Me too SherreLu, I watched Dani cook and eat, and hit the pillows. I believe Dick was still in DR and Zach was in the SBR. Of course I didn’t have time to watch it this morning because I was up so late last night.

gee..imyourdog…i have to say that if you consider what i said to be an insult or a personal attack..then i must say dear, that shows like big brother are way
too intense for a person of your tender sensibilities to be watching. you are the one who suggested that god must be angry…not I. i only said that god would be happy seeing how the tone of the posts today were much less hate filled and derogatory than normal. i consider myself to be one of the “good guys”…i haven’t broken any of the 10 commandments lately…i always say please and thank you. excuse me are very nice words too. i am never mean to stray animals and i donate to the catholic charities and salvation army. i tell my child i love him at least 100 times a day…and if i see someone who needs a helping hand i try to do my part. but it seems (in your eyes at least) the fact that i root for dick donato negates all of the good i have tried to do in the world….i think god loves everyone. and that includes dick and daniele. like i said before..peace be with you bother and good will to all. (not just the ones that you approve of!)

I just have to say I do not like D & D and I hope Zach wins. Dani is a whinning baby worse the Amber and Dick is a piece of white trash. You D & D fans out ther you tell me that you would like to be in that house with them and like for Dick to treat you like that. Think about it!! Dani and ED could have been setting pretty. During the ball comp they could have put their balls in one tube and won easy! Hello Vivian, I was just reading for a while to keep out of some coments. I am not sure if I should be hoping for your sons game to be resceduled so I hope you get to watch BB8 and see the game somehow. I think it is smart for cbs to save alittle something for the show but you do not get the same feel from watching in whole or the reactions of the HG after. I was wanting a lot more of the players in the SH ( staged or not). I think the SH guests are way more intertaining. I am torn as I know this is a game but I still do not care for the attitudes of D and D and although I think they kicked ass in the game. I want Zach to win maybe as stated before by someone He is the underdog. Zach was not a bully, crude, abusive, ungrateful and so on. TES, it is a game but I am just not into promoting that kind of behavior in any way, shape or form. I watched the first BB show and they were a bit confussed as to why BB was trying to get them so against each other and consider ( ok, it was just talk) but considering all walking out the door. I watched, I liked the nice guys and begame the game was new it was interesting and intertaining. Just my thoughts!

Vegasgirl, I think you said that quite well. I feel pretty much the same way. I am trying really hard not to be judgemental. Everyone has favorites, that is just the way it is. I too think Dick and Dani have played an awesome game. On the other hand, I think that Zach tried hard to get into alliances and no one would let him so what was he to do? Maybe this was his strategy. To not get noticed and stay in as a “floater” and then show what he was made of after that. How is that not good game play too? I personally thought Eric and Jess were cute together (please dont throw things at me guys) but I also think that it won’t last at all. Hopefully, they will have a good friendship out of it. I think Amber and Jameka will probably stay in touch also. Those are all good things to come out of the game. I also hope that Dick and Dani have a better relationship because of this. I kind of think they will. I am sure that not all problems can be fixed with this, but they have had to work together and maybe Dani has seen a different side to her dad and knows she can depend on him. Dasani, You could be 100% correct as I kinda skim through BB after dark and clean, type, and such while I listen or watch the After dark show. Having said that I picked up on the conversation not as a fact but their knowing inside or highly suspecting about each other. I heard nothing about the limo. SherreLu, If a lot of it is out right lies (it is after all a reality show). Busting their manipulation is about as real as it gets and extremly interesting to me. So although I can choose to watch or not watch BB I am interested in the reality of it all. I DO NOT however want, like or aprove of false statements ( aside from some posts with great senses of humor). I think posters should becare not to say things as fact when it is asumed, guessing, taken out of context, or not able to be proved which is why I asked if it was a fact. Make no mistake I am a fan of the show and I have watched every season from the first to now but I am interested in what is real and what is not. Even though it is a game I am invested in it to a certain point just like great movies or TV shows that I enjoy and connect with.

I have heard that several of the HGs ran into each other or saw each other in pre-production. Some even had suspicions. Apparently Carol was not the first enemy of Jessicas to be selected but when the other girl saw Jessica she walked away, so they ran out and found Carol last minute. Carol really did have a huge beef with Jessica and was a bit confused.
It sounds to me like D&D spotted each other during the initial interviews during HG selection. That is a FAR cry from riding in the limo together to the house and knowing FOR SURE about the twist…

I do care about the behind the scenes info. When I watch a TV show I know their is a writer behind it however when I watch a show like BB and SO many details like the votes, twists, and such turn out to be not true or the producers have been pulling the wool over our eys in such a huge way. I totally want to know that is more interesting then the TV show(sometimes). I also respect your not caring but I do care and want people to talk about it. You are correct I know some things are staged an the producers have to PRODUCE the show but some of the things I found out this season I do not care for and think it would be a great made for tv movie or show about the truth behind the reality show with facts or they could show the scene and then tell us the truth, the reality. What you saw is true. I was reading as the actual conversation went down on another site where the live feeds were being recorded.
As to my opinion. I suspected Dani and Dick knew. What I didn’t expect was that Dustin/Joe and of all the HGs…/Carol to know. Come to think back on it. Jessica was the one who did actually look shocked. I remember thinking, at the time, that Jess sure seems more shook up than the others.

I appreciate that people are thinking that Zach can beat Dick in the finals, but did we forget that if Zach would have stopped riding coat tails a little earlier in the game and played the veto a few weeks ago that Jess, Eric, and Jameka would have been in the house longer than Dick and Danielle. When Zach chose not to use the veto it was a turning point in the game that most wished did not happen. Even though I support a Donato final 2 most would have liked to have seen Jess or Eric or Jess and Eric in the finals. I think Zach sealed his fate when he chose not to step up and use the veto. He made no friends in the house and chose not to play early enough. I have no doubt that he laid low as to not be a target too early – look at what happened to Nick. But please, do you really give the cash to a man that waited until the odds were lower before he finally plays vs Dani or Dick who at least had their game plan out there the entire time?

On the whole, this has been an interesting blog. Unfortunately, if you are not a lover of Dick and Daniele, most here have no tolerance . It is also interesting that those who defend the D’s have nothing better to do than be critical of those who do not like them. They exhibit the same personality traits that the Donato’s do. When things go their way, ok; when they do not, then make personal attacks on the person, not the opinion.
What I find interesting here are the women bloggers who like and respect Dick. I would wager that if any of you were actually treated the way he has treated the women on the show, you would be the first people to run for the police or to a lawyer. It all looks cool until it happens to you, and I sincerely hope that none of you ever get into an abusive relationship. Of course, there are women who love abusive relationships, and I pity them.
How anyone can think that the vile verbal abuse Dick gave to Zach the other night was acceptable is so totally beyond comprehension. Dick made a total fool of himself, and probably used up most of his energy doing it.
I guess we will see tonight who will be in the final. Unfortunately, we are in a society that rewards and respects people like the Donatos, although I will never understand it.

I think we pretty much decided a while ago that the cast of BB9 will be the DNP. Now we need to get a few rules going.
1. ALL Competition’s will be beer pong (or in MY case, Scotch pong)
2. Whomever wins beer pong is HoH, and has to put up the 2 who lost.
3. 2 on the block have a beer pong face off and the loser gets voted off.
4. No secret deals, no backdoring (except if beer pong runs late and we all end up in the HoH room passed out, then wake up and wonder what the hell happened last night)
5. WHh ever wins the FINAL HoH beer pong get’s the money, then has to spend it taking the rest of the DNP to Oktoberfest .
6. David, this is where you IT skills are needed. We need to get with Comcast and Direct TV to make sure that all of the ratjj alliance are actually watching BB1. They won’t have a clue.

David let’s put this to rest once and for all. Somewhere along the way SOMEONE laid out an interpretation of my posts as racist, when INSTEAD my posts were referring to an area that is SOAKED in anger and reverse-RACISM. I owned a business as a minority in a 90% black area, THINKING that my love for people would actually make a difference. Yeah pretty stupid, huh??? I brought all of my christian and moral ethics into my business and respected every single client that walked in my door and welcomed them with opened arms. By week 2 I had already had several threats on my life – telling me to get out of THEIR neighborhood, and to stay away from THEIR men!!! I had a fitness faciity. At the same time some of my best friends on the police force (all black, by the way), would drive by to watch my facility as I would have to be there ALONE many evenings. At this same time my boys were HIGH level athletes and would have friends over almost daily – MOST black kids who thought of me as MOM! After ten years of having my life threatened, being stalked by a guy on the SWAT team in P.G. County (WHERE my business was), being told I wasn’t wanted – I COMPLETELY burned out emotionally and physically ( the catalyst being my youngest son almost being killed in an auto accident – I hit MY proverbial WALL)!!!. BUT, by the same token, by the end of ten years, I had accomplished much in that I helped MANY poor kids realize their success by coming to me and getting a FREE membership, along with MY personal training program that would assist almost ALL of them to realizing their dreams – that being getting opportunities to get into Division one colleges and directly talking to the coaches of those college via my contacts (I had MANY coaches who would have done anything for my kids in my facility – because I had reached a place of respect and had a reputation of helping the poor kids in my community), many of them went into the Olympics and many ALSO, with my help and the help of my wonderful trainers (all by two being black), got off of drugs and went on to become decent productive citizens. I could go on – probably write a novel – but I won’t. I want all of you to know that however someone got the idea that I’m a member of the KKK or that I’m a racist – you couldn’t be farther from the truth!!
That being said – there is such an element of HATE, ANGER and MILITARIST mentality in P.G. County that being WHITE is the worst thing you could be – it’s also the most dangerous thing you could be!!!! I know this personally – I tried to change it in MY SMALLL way – but had to sell my business or end up in the hospital. It was the best decision of my life, AND owning my business was also the BEST experience of my life on SO many levels and it’s SO rewarding to hear from some of those kids who still call me MOM!! I’ll never regret it.
SO, I just want those of you referring to me as a racist – to just get a picture of someone who TRULY and WHOLE-HEARTEDLY tried to make a difference – against ALL odds!!

Dick is basically a mean-spirited bully who is out for himself (OK, and maybe Danielle). His “strategy” of making vicious personal attacks on people’s religion (Jameka), sexual preference (Dustin), past (Amber), personalities (Jen) are hurtful, sometines violent, disgusting and way below the belt. I really don’t understand how anyone can want him to win. Don’t we all know people like this who have no regard for others and justify (or rationalize) their behavior with “the end justifies the means”? Should this kind of behavior be rewarded?
I have been a big fan of this show since Season 1, but this season has really turned me off. I know I’m in the minority on this.
Does anyone wonder why Danielle and Dick haven’t spoken for two years? When she walked away from him during one of their arguments, he accused her of “always walking away.” Her response was, “There are reasons!” Although we probably will never know them, you have to wonder about a (loving?) father who apparently made no attempt to to communicate with his (then) 19-year-old daughter for two years, and then chooses to do so in front of a national TV audience.
I can’t stand bonehead Zach (or any of the other HG’s this season, except maybe Jessica), but I hope he wins.

RonJJ, you could not be more wrong. There are many people on this blog that dislike D&D that do not get teasted or insulted. The reason is the way they present their arguments.
I find it hypocritical for someone to flame ED for the way he flames others. It seems so many claim to dislike his tactics and yet use the very same tactics themselves.
The other thing that bothers me is when I spend the time to post a thoughful response and it gets ignored completely and the person I responded to just leeps making the same assertions without responding back to my points.
The last thing that bothers me is complete blind hatred. When someone refuses to see something that conflicts with their beliefs such as the posts from your two little brothers yesterday about how Dani was mad at her father for giving up. Some of you see whatever you want to see and ignore all else.

GO ZACH GO ZACH..just when I think I might see the soft side of Dick and change my mind about him a little. he goes off and acts the way he did during the 1st round. There is NO excuse for the verbal abuse he throws around. Now I am not saying that there will be a certain level of game play to psych the other out. however..he is REALLY abusive with some of the things he says… I wish someone would say to him “how would YOU feel if someone or some ASS was verbally abusing Dani that way? Of course now that I think about it I am pretty sure that he has done that to her in the past in some way/shape/form maybe not as HORRIBLE as he is to the HG s (Zach) but I am sure it is his nature. YUCK. because of that alone…..I hope he doesnt win. I can deal with the tatoos and the crazy hair and getup. even his foul mouth. but the abuse is just terrible. EET thanks for the tip. but I do have a DVR and I do use it for this show. specifically for the after dark. but like everyone here I would like to watch the live shows. and I agree my kids don’t watch it but sometimes if I am in a different room watching it all they can hear is Dick yelling. it just gets old after awhile. I dont remember the last seasons being so brutal. oh, and I cant stand D and D. Iam still on the fence on if I had to pick between the two. they both have such wonderful qualities and personalities..they are just such a great contribution to society in so many levels.
