So I bumped into BB8′s Mike Dutz…

by BBBlogger on May 21, 2009

Hey everyone,

BBBlogger here. In case you did not know, it takes a lot of help and people to run a crazy site (or sites) like this one and Big Brother Fans. I want to introduce you to one of my inside connections who lives out in California and has been keeping a few of my other blogs rocking during The Biggest Loser and American Idol. You may know her from my Big Brother Videos website (which is getting a make over soon). Please give a warm Big Brother Blog welcome to Bloggergal1 who will pop in time to time here on Big Brother Blog!

Peace, BBBlogger

Hi Big Brother Fans!

Yesterday I attended the 2009 GSN Game Show Awards. They were held at the Wilshire Theater in Beverly Hills. Although definitely not up to the calibar of the Emmy’s or the Grammy’s, it was fun nonetheless!

The fans all ended up sitting in the balcony, but that’s okay because there was an overlook so we could watch the (semi-famous LOL) stars walk down the red carpet on the first floor. Seen walking down the carpet were comedian George Wallace, game show host Monty Hall, The Office star Kate Flannery, singer Meatloaf, Cloris Leachman, Fred Willard, the kids from Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader, Jeff Foxworthy, Biggest Loser host Allison Sweeney, Home Improvement star Richard Karn and many others.

The awards were hosted by Howie Mandel. He’s awesome and handled a huge number of malfunctions of the sets, etc., with joke after joke. Since the awards show is taped and shown sometime in June, when something went wrong they just did it over. This made for a very long taping. One interesting Howie tidbit is that he’s color blind. Since part of the audience was divided by color (to win prizes), this made his hosting job a lot more difficult.

So what does this all have to do with Big Brother? I’m getting to that part, LOL! I was standing in the upper floor lobby, I turn around and standing behind me is Mike Dutz. Please tell me you remember who Mike Dutz is! He’s the painter/model that did one of the stupidest things in Big Brother history! He goaded Evil Dick during a competition to help “his buddy” Kail. This PO’d Dick, Dick threw the competition and Mike ended up on the block and sent packing.

After being evicted, Mike said, “Sometime in life we have to step outside of our comfort zone and move away from those protective walls and risk your own security for basically what you believe in.” “I believe in values of integrity and honesty… I had to make some actions in a very inconvenient situation for myself which sacrificed my security in the hopes that all of you would see how close I hold those values to my heart, in the hopes that you would trust the player who has those types of values.” Honesty and integrity don’t work in the Big Brother house Mike!

When Mike was evicted, I was able to get in touch with him and offer him some advice on auctioning off his Big Brother memorabilia on EBay. I lost touch with him and so I was excited to get a chance to meet him in person. When I introduced myself and reminded him about Ebay, he remembered me. We chatted a bit about how things are going for him, but it was too crowded to get into specifics. I’m going to try to get in touch with him again and see if he can provide some insight for us during this season’s Big Brother.

The guy is as genuine as he appeared on Big Brother. He was just “too nice” for that show! He’s appeared on Gay, Straight or Taken and also done a lot of modeling. He’s definitely hot looking! Last night, he was pretty casually dressed in distressed jeans and a sport jacket. I didn’t get the chance to ask him why he was attending the Game Show Awards, but I wondered if he might be dating one of the many hot models that were on the stage.

I’m looking forward to this season of Big Brother along with the rest of you! Stay tuned…Bloggergal1
