Right now, there’s really not much new to report about what’s going on in the Big Brother house.
Caleb is still stalking (and yes, it is stalking — let’s call it what it is) Amber and quite frankly, he is really creeping me out. While it’s easy to joke about Caleb’s obsession (much as how it was easy to joke about Gina Marie and Nick), if you actually listen to what Caleb is saying and how he’s saying it, it all becomes less and less funny. Ever since Amber told Caleb that she wasn’t interested in him, Caleb has alternated between saying that she’s not good enough for him to and claiming that she actually is interested in him but just isn’t admitting it.
There are some people on twitter who are convinced that Amber must have led Caleb on at some point. The only thing that I’ve seen Amber do is be polite to a guy who has apparently decided that he’s entitled to her. From what I’ve seen, Amber has handled the situation about as well as anyone has any right to expect her to. Caleb is the one who refuses to take a hint. If I was Amber and I won HoH, I would honestly put Caleb up for eviction just to get rid of him. My biggest fear would be ending up in the final two with him and knowing that it would only be him and me in the house together.
Honestly, watching Caleb and listening to him, it’s hard not to feel that he’s only a few days away from snapping and getting kicked out of the house, in order to protect the other houseguests.
As for which of Caleb’s nominees is going to evicted on Thursday — well, we all know that it’s going to be Joey and the vote is going to be unanimous. Joey has been trying to campaign and, watching her speak to the other houseguests, it’s hard not to feel that Joey has no idea how to talk to people who are outside of her usual social circle. If the Big Brother house was exclusively populated by political activists from Seattle, Joey would probably do a lot better. But, instead, she’s having to deal with people who are from all over the country and who have different beliefs than she does and its obvious that Joey is not really comfortable with any of them. That awkwardness comes through whenever she’s talking one-on-one with the other houseguests and it’s probably one of the major reasons why Caleb felt so comfortable about nominating her in the first place.
What’s interesting is that, with the exception of Caleb and maybe Devin, none of the other houseguests seems to really be that enthusiastic about voting Joey out of the house. If anything, they seem to be indifferent towards both Joey and Paola. They all seem to be planning on voting for Joey because that’s what Caleb has said that he wants but, otherwise, they seem to be indifferent to both Joey and Paola. Hardly anybody seems to really have any desire to see Joey go but, at the same time, nobody really seems to feel as if they’ll miss her company if she’s voted out.
And it makes sense. By revealing the existence of Cuatro and then calling that stupid house meeting to try to pressure Caleb into nominating Devin, Joey has shown that she would be a fairly useless ally. By proving herself to be incapable of both spelling and swinging, Paola has revealed herself to be one of those non-threatening players who can probably be voted out at any point during the game.
For the most part, the other houseguests just seem to be happy that they’re not the ones nominated, which makes a lot of sense.
Anyway, despite the fact that nothing unexpected is happening in the house right now, we’ve still got a new episode of Big Brother to look forward to on Wednesday night! In this episode, we’ll finally get to see the veto comp. Apparently, it was a spelling comp and Paola is just as bad at spelling as she was at swinging. I personally can’t wait to see it!
Hopefully, we’ll also get to see both the “house meeting” where Joey ordered everyone to talk to Caleb about who they wanted to see nominated and the Veto Ceremony. Of course, we already know that Joey was put up in Donny’s place but I’m still curious to see what was said at the ceremony. What excuse did Caleb give for nominating her and, even more importantly, how did Joey take the news?
P.S. Have you voted in BBBlogger’s new poll yet!? If not, it’s right over there and on the right side of the screen! –>>>>>
