Hi, everyone!
Well, Thursday’s show started out with the announcer calling Nicole “Christine’s fellow four-eyed friend” and it ended with Rachel Reilly laughing like a hyena. And what happened in between wasn’t much better. We got yet another unanimous vote, with Nicole being evicted by a vote of 6-0. And then, at the HoH competition, it was yet another Detonator victory with Frankie and Derrick winning the HoH competition.
As of right now, it appears that we’re going to do the usual.
Zach and Donny will be one set of nominees.
Christine and Cody will be the others.
Zach will throw the BoTB, ensuing the he and Donny remain the nominees. I think that the plan is for Derrick to nominated Zach and Donny, so that way he’ll finally get to be HoH. It also means that Frankie won’t have to get any blood on his hands. And I suppose the ultimate plan is to get Donny out of the house.
Because, of course, a guy who spends most of his day sleeping is a real threat.
What’s really interesting is that it appears that Victoria is going to avoid being nominated yet again. It really wouldn’t surprise me to see a player like Derrick take Victoria to the end. Everyone in the house feels that they can beat her in the end. It would be funny is a super bitter jury responded by giving Victoria the win.
In other news, the double HoH will end next Thursday. And, of course, one member of the jury will be allowed to reenter the house. I imagine that, much like last year, they’ll do a competition where the winning HG gets to be HoH and the winning jury member gets to reenter the house and hopefully will have immunity for his or her first week in the house.
So, out of the jury, who do you think will be the most likely to win a competition to reenter the house?
Definitely not Jocasta. Knowing Jocasta, she might be too ill to even compete.
Was Hayden good at challenges? It’s hard to remember. He certainly has a better chance to reenter the house than Jocasta.
But I think that Nicole could very well be the juror to watch. If nothing else, she mentally seemed to want to be in the house more than either Jocasta or Hayden.
Of course, they’ll all be competing against a fourth juror.
So, we’ll see what happens! As of right now, it looks like it just going to be another boring Detonator-dominated week in the Big Brother house.

I almost missed tonight’s show; not that it needs watching any longer. All I need to know what is happening is this blog. It’s far more interesting here than the show anyway.
BTW, I googled Alison Grodner and the rumor that she was leaving BB started last summer, realitytvlounge.com had a story in Sept. 2013 that BB15 was her last season. I’m hoping she does leave, or get fired from the show–anything!! She has ruined BB and it just keep getting worst.

I agree with Janice and erie angel. This season of BB has been a big disappointment. Tonight’s show was not even worth watching. It was frustrating and boring! It is hard to give up on it when you have been watching it since the beginning. Lisa Marie, you do such a great job of reporting. I just hope things will get better and more exciting in the next few weeks. Well, nite all … back to my book. 🙂

I love BB. Yes, many ppl believe this season may not be as good as the others but I am a fan and will continue to watch. I have to say, I am in love with Derrick. Derrick has been a step ahead of everyOne since he walked In the BB door. And yes….I’d love to see him and Cody at the end. As for the returning HG I think I’d love to see Nicole return. She deserves it. LM….thanks for the blogs…..even though I watch I love reading your updates! I am not sure I could write them the way you do. I actually look forward to getting the emails, You do a fabulous job.

Thanks Lisa Marie for all you efforts to keep us informed and to allow us to see each persons “spin” on the happenings. I did miss a few seasons initially but got caught up…I’m a long time live feeder and normally LOVE BB but have been so bored and disappointed this season. I actually find myself watching much less…BB was my summer life, Now what the heck do I do? I think it is pathetic how production puts “ringers” in to make the game interesting when in fact all it has done is turn us bb fans off!!!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------We really didn’t need Rachel to ask whatever happened to Sisters befor Misters as it has never been that way on BB…The show has been pretty lousy all season and I don’t foresee it getting any better but as a BB addict I will still watch. Just not as much as before. Wish they would learn from this fiasco and get real non-famous Fans in the future who are ready to really play the game!!!

I am so sick and tired of the 12 – 0 or 9 – 0 OR like this week 6 – 0 votes. SOMEONE in that house needs to grow a pair AND STOP playing Derricks game at first I thought I would want to see him win. I prefer a NON Detonator OR Bomb Squad or WHATEVER STUPID name they have this week to NOT win or Victoria she has no social game and no game of any kind she seems to me to be an IDIOT. I would love to see Nicole or Hayden to come back in a tear the house apart. I am tired of seeing production play favorites. The people who enter the house should ONLY be people who have heard of the game and watched the past seasons NOT these people who just do what they are told and picked by production because they THINK we are all stupid. Lisa Marie, you never fail us. I was getting ready to snuggle up with a good book myself, when I thought I would check to see if you had posted and there you were. Watching BBAD and Derrick is giving Donny promises and I wonder if he is telling him all lies. He is saying that they will do the TA thing this week so will keep Donny safe for that. But I have a feeling that he will make deals with everyone this week to keep himself safe, and make them think that it is all their idea whoever goes home.

Well, I decided to check my mail again before I got back to my book. I have a question: Does anyone know if the powers that be from CBS read this blog. If they do, they should get a good idea how this season has fallen so short and disappointed so many BB fans. I hope they do check in on us. Shut up Derrick. Can’t stand his monotone drone going on and on manipulating every detail and move of the brainless zombies. I cant take it anymore!!! Victoria is still there under his protection while she has done absolutely nothing to deserve still being there. When are these people going to wake up? I slowly have gone from being enamored with derrick’s manipulative brilliance to having no respective for his particular type of strategy. Think I’m done now till September. SO bored and don’t like AT ALL any of the remaining house guests except Donnie. Lisa and the comments of the people here are the only thing that keeps me coming back for more!

Thanks Lisa Marie, as always you bring that zzzzzzzzzzzz show to life for us. Maybe “to life” is the wrong choice of words. There’s no scheeming going on to change anything in the houses. LM, you and Betty are surmising the same scenario that if Derrick and Vic are final 2, then depending on whether the vote is bitter, then Vic could win. Now that would be funny and serve the show right.
Aggie, I doubt anything can change this predictable train wreck.
Sylvie, Ian’s glasses were fake too I believe. Wasn’t it Ian who did that for the look he wanted? Somebody remember for sure? Not sure about Derrick’s glasses.
I hope Nic or Hayden come back but mostly Nicole. I too hope Frankie stays HOH so he has no chance of returning. That boy has hop scotched on my last nerve. Derrick has played the best game but he’s made it a snooze fest. At least Dr. Will and Dan kept it interesting and so did Ian. And we didn’t need to see Rachel and listen to her cackle or see her fake smile. Bleh
I’ll keep watching because I got hooked season I and will continue to watch this game I love to hate and hate to love. Love to read all the comments because you guys are more interesting than this year will ever be.

Yawn! I think CBS knows this season is a snorefest as they didn’t have enough interesting raw foootage to put together a full show on the one night that they usually have to end the show in the middle of the HOH comp. Why-oh-why did didn’t they just let us watch the houseguests instead of that dumb interview with Rachel?

As everyone else has already said, great recap LM! It’s amazing how you work so well with so little!! You should do a start-up business. You’d probably make a fortune!!!lol It is a tribute to you and all of us on the blog tho that people keep saying that they would rather read this blog than watch the show!! It was so funny because just as I read Sylvie’s last comment about Derrick’s glasses being fake, I was watching him and wondering the same thing myself!! He could wear contacts..alot of people do that you wouldn’t think do…..but it seems to be a kind of a prop in the house. Ian’s glasses were for show! I didn’t know that until an interview after the season was over. He’s such a nerd, it never occured to me that they weren’t real. I do wear glasses, since 1st grade, and this season has got me wanting to get a bigger pair of frames . I love Nic’s. Plastic frames but metal sides. BB totally takes over my mind, summer and keeps me up on the current trends!!! Scary!!lol
Watching Derrick talk to Donnie about probably going up and emphasizing their TA alliance was hard. Poor Donnie. It’s the only *alliance* he has been in all season..if you don’t count the Day 1 with Devon..D&D. But number one…it’s not really an allaince!!! it’s just a job that BB gave them to do. For Money. But Frankie and especially Derrick push it to him as an allaince because they know he is so alone they can use it to their advantage. I can’t believe he is so gullible sometimes. I honestly don’t know WHAT could have propelled him to even tryout for BB. I’m a huge fan…but I know myself and I would NEVER be able to be on the actual show! WHY didn’t Donny know that about himself?? He’s not very social, thinks slow, sleeps alot and doesn’t seem to feel very comfortable being around all those *kids*. I Do like him, but watching him in the house is almost painful. I jsut feel either sorry for him or annoyed by him and neither one is comfortable. Oh..and number two, Frankie and Derrick KNOW it’s not a real alliance….not even one Donnie has seen fit to participate in. But they make it seem like they have his back all the time. Again. Gullible. And hard to watch.

Rhonda, yeah I noticed Zach crying in the DR on Wednesday’s show. It was hard to watch. Zach is convinced Frankie will get America’s Choice because of his claimed 1 million + YouTube followers. Eh. I checked, Frankie doesn’t have nearly that many followers.
Oh and I finally looked up Ariana Grande and watched one of her music videos. Horrible.

Not only could I not understand half the words to the song (she seemed to mumble them) but the content of the video was a mismatch to the song. And those extensions–she must get headaches with all that hair!!

Ok so I guess I am a bit confused. I read on twitter that Amber got on the show by answering a “casting call” ad in the newspaper. Is that how they get people to go on the show by doing casting calls? Like finding actors for a tv commercial? I thought it would be like Survivor and have people pouring in to be on the show???? Why put people in the house that have no idea the concept of the game. I would love to see a house full of super fans that actually knew how to play like Nicole and change things up. I am a huge Survivor fan also and the super fans know how to change things up. I was just curious if anyone knew why. Love this blog and always look forward to reading y’all’s comments.

I am so over this season. They should just call it the Derrick show. Loved how he said we can do it this week just no lying and then promptly tells Vic that she is totally safe. How many final two deals has he made? Wish America voted for the winner instead of the jury house. So hope that Nicole gets to come back into the house. This season may be my last if they don’t get some houseguests who do something. No games of baseball in the backyard, nothing…lay around in a nasty dirty house as everyone is too lazy to clean or sleep…guess it is a great vacation for them all.

If CBS wanted to shake things up, they would have the 4 evicted people battle to 2 and then they would do a BOTB with the HOH’s and if they win take over the hoh spot. Who am I kidding, they would never do anything like that to upset Grodner’s fun time. The last time that I watched all three episodes regularly was season 9, the rest I just watch Thursday’s eviction and keep it muted until the vote starts.

I really enjoy these blogs. I have been a sideliner for years. This year, the show is SO BORING and predictable! It truly is frustrating.

She went through an Ariana Grande stage – her speaking voice is the most annoying! She also knew who Frankie was immediately and she never liked him, now she likes him even less! The first thing she said was “He does NOT have that many YouTube followers!
Can’t wait for him and Christine to leave and i wouldn’t be disappointed to hear them booed as they walked out the door. But then, they are so full of themselves, they would love it and take it as a compliment!

The best thing about last night’s show was hearing the put down the owner of the Dallas Cowboys directed at Frankie. “I don’t know what to do about you” referring to his clothes and pink hair. I don’t think Frankie was too pleased!!

Putting everything into perspective, Tony Romo is a mere 6’2″, not very tall by NFL standards, and he towered over Caleb, Frankie and Christine. Nicole, even in her high heels, was shorter than Julie Chen. Casting must have had a very low height maximum for consideration this year. Lots of little people.

Star, couldn’t agree more, this blog is the best! Lotsa Vets who’ve been here forever and newbies who join every year, those who comment occassionally and LM who makes it all perfect! Poor Donnie, I said it before too, I have no idea why he wanted to be on this show. He has no initiative to even play and he’s miserable. He whines about not being inclulded but that’s because he made no, none, zero, zip attempt to be in an alliance to discuss strategy and game play with anyone. I feel sorry for him but then I realize he’s a super fan and he should have been somewhat informed as to how this game is played.
Doris, happy you’re posting and not sidelining this year. 🙂 Frankie obviously couldn’t make it on Broadway, if he was any good, he’d still be there. Your daughter is a smart young lady, she knows a fraud when she sees one. 😉 I guess having a following on You Tube is a big thing. Do they make money if they have a lot of followers? If not, what’s the point and who cares? If they make money, that’s another story.

Starfish, i don’t think they actually make money from YouTube. However, I did take my daughter and her friends to a thing callef Digitour which consisted of famous YouTubers. I remember most acts going in the back. However, Frankie made it a point to get dropped off towards the back of the line and walk towards the front with his bodyguards. That is when my daughter told me he was Ariana Grande’s brother (I believe she rolled her eyes as she told me).

I guess none of the alliance “felt comfortable” going on the block with Donny and throwing the BotB comp. I love that. Cody was the main one who complained. Dude hasn’t done jack shit all season and he “didn’t feel comfortable” going up. Zach was gonna volunteer but then decided against it because he said to the group, “You guys wanted me gone last week.” to which Caleb replied, “Yeah, but nobody voted for you.” That kinda ruffled Beast Mode Clownboy’s cage. He was pissed Zach just didn’t do it.
They ended up drawing Skittles, I shit you not, to decide who would be stuck with Donny. Christine apparently drew the short Skittle…if that’s possible.
I guess Derick was adamant that Victoria wasn’t going up…interesting. He did tell her privately that he wasn’t going to put her up but she was going on slop for the week and she was cool with that. GEE, ya think? Derick’s dragging her to the end…she should be downing slop on the reg, just to do her part.
The other plan is to have Frankie lose so he can compete in the next HOH which they assume will be one of those hang on the wall/endurance type comps. They also spoke about a house guest returning, but they all think there isn’t enough time left in the show. It appears they aren’t aware that BB bump the finale by a week. Maybe that’s supposed to be another big twist. Anyway, that’s all the info I got.

Thanks so much for posting it. I can’t decide if Frankie was butching it up because Survivor is a really physical game or if he’s acting flamboyant in BB for camera time. Maybe both. I guess we can expect to see Frankie/Zack on Amazing Race next. I did notice when they went to the football reward that Frankie’s hair had been trimmed. It had been looking kind of scraggly. When the houseguests came through the door at the beginning of the season, I zoned in on Frankie, picked him as my favorite and decided he was the one I was going to root for to win. A few days later I was still rooting for Frankie, but now it was for him to go back out that door. The competition Brendan had to win to reenter the house was played in the backyard in front of the other houseguests. It involved rolling a ball up a ramp, running to do something else and getting back to reroll the ball before it fell to the ground. When B won, Rachel ran and jumped on him wrapping her legs around him.

I hate to see Donny on the block with Christine. I am sure the guys will ask her to throw the comp, so Donny and her stay on the block. I hope Donny wins the POV, then hopefully Derrick will be forced to put up Victoria, as if he doesn’t, the entire house should figure out he has some type of alliance with her, but who knows how smart they are! Maybe this is wishful thinking on my part, as Derrick would probably put up Zach as the replacement nominee and save his precious Victoria. It would be great to see Christine and Victoria on the block together, as I would love to see one of them go next week! Go Donny!!
It is all working out for CBS’s favorite pink-haired fruit loop, as when Frankie’s team wins the BOTB, he will be dethroned, which will allow him to compete for HOH next week! I am not a happy camper about this!!

two, to make thing interesting on here and to kill time until Sunday, I think we all should share our “claim to fame.” Here’s mine: I think most of you know who Cary Grant is. Well, he called me on the phone! Yes he did!! I was eating lunch with some friends at a restaurant near the Del Mar Racetrack in California. He came into the restaurant with his daughter and a lady I later found out was his secretary. I wanted to talk to him so bad,but didn’t want to disturb him. So, I ripped a deposit slip out of my check-book and wrote him a note on the back. As I left the restaurant, I walked by his table, smiled at him and placed my note on the table and left!! 🙂 That was on a Friday. Saturday morning my phone range and it was Cary Grant’s Secretary. She asked for me and I said yes, I am Joanne. She said to Mr. Grant, “She’s on the line sir.” Oh my gosh! Can you imagine how excited I was! Cary Grant talking in that voice of his!!! He told me how much he appreciated my note, and that I didn’t interrupt his lunch because he didn’t get to spend much time with his daughter. He said he was in town to enter one of his horses in the race at Del Mar. We talked for about 15 minutes. I told him I loved his movies because they we tasteful. He told me I had a nice smile!!:) After I hung up, I ran next door woke up my neighbors, called my mom! I was so exciting!!I’ll bet Frankie can’t beat that!! Sorry this is so long! Now, tell us your story! 🙂

My friend Mary Barton (middle name) grew up in Memphis, saw Elvis at a stop light and got his autograph, was in the church during Martin Luther King’s ‘I’ve been to the mountaintop’ speech, and has met Gloria Steinham and Lily Tomlin (after her one-woman show on Broadway). She emailed with Lily for a short time and was sent a personalized autographed photo. Mary put me on to BB, and since this season she can’t always watch tv at all, she asks me every day to give her this blog’s highlights.
OK, so not MY claim to fame, but I’ve got Jolee and Mary to rub elbows with. Actually I think that makes all of us more famous than Frankie! : )

I also have had the privilege of meeting quite a few star’s. I worked at an all night diner across the street from The Pasadena Playhouse. After the play was over all the star’s would come in to eat. I had the good fortune of sitting down with Natalie Wood and Robert Wagner in the mid 1970’s. I was so enthralled with Natalie Wood. She was 100 times more gorgeous in person than on the screen. Robert Wagner wasn’t bad either but her beauty was mesmerizing. They were both so gracious. I’ll never forget those 10-15 minutes with them. I’ve met other “stars” but somrthing about Natalie Wood was so special. This was my Cary Grant moment.

two, I love that story! My favorite uncle worked at MGM Studio’s during the late 40’s and early 50’s. He was a security guard. He took my sister and brother to work with him and they each got their autograph books filled with autographs of several movie stars: June Allyson, Van Johnson, Peter Lawford, Greer Garson, Esther Williams, and about 30 more. The stars were all there for a photo shoot. I was so jealous, because I wanted to go.:)

Derrick and Frankie talking about who to put up as replacement nom if the OV gets used. Frankie wants to take Caleb down and put up Vic. Derrick keeps saying that that would be a waste of an HOH. Why hasn’t anyone noticed his very intense interest in Vic and her BB safety lately??? Caleb is supposedly in his alliance. When I was in college, one of my friend’s fathers was a photographer at the Flint News..or whatever it was. He had an interview one day with Robert Redford who i was IN LOVE with, with posters all over my dorm room!!! My friend got to tag along, brought the famous black and white Sting poster and asked him to sign it. He sent it to me at school and when I opened it I was like…*Aww…I already have this one!!!* Until I got to the bottom of it. (it was rollled up) It Said, in HUGE flowing script…….*To my biggest fan…..Best Wishes. Robert Redford!!!!!! ♥♥♥* I was scraming and knocking on doors all up and down the hall!! I remember I had braided pigtails with ribbons on them and they came flying off!!!! I guess that is meeting by proxy actually…but I still have that poster!!! 😉
Otherwise, in Sept of 2001, we were in Traverse City, Mi at the Red Wings training camp. Hockey, for those who don’t follow..lol Long story short, we were staying in the same hotel as the players and sadly that is when 9/11 took place. We were all zombies, walking around the lobby, staring at the news on TVS and it brought a common thread to everyone there. I met and got autographs from several of the players, flirted with a few, ate in close proximity to them , for a whole 3 days! It was hard to really enjoy anything at that time, but it is still something I will never forget!!! As will any American! But the tragedy took away the fame and ego from the Red Wings and they became just regular people. It was truly amazing. And somehow comforting that we allcame together on that horrible day!!!
I think that’s it. Nowhere near as exciting as Jeanne’s Cary Grant story!! Who I LOVE even more than Robert Redorfd!!lol Too bad there weren’t smart phones then so you could have recorded the conversation !!! 😉

two, I just finished reading four books about WWII. They were so good. Three of them were a series, “The Peacemakers” by Anna Schmidt and the other one was “The Butterfly and the Violin” by Kristy Cambron. They all were so good. I was 11 years old in 1944 and remember having nightmares about Hitler.

Cody and Chrustine must a have been zinged but good. Chrustine crying and Cody somehow justifying his cuddle behavior as innocent. Huh. Not in my book. Glad to see them squirm. I’m not on Facebook so could not follow the link provided.
