Well, I know that yesterday, we were all hoping — against hope — that Aaryn would do the unexpected and perhaps put Amanda up as a replacement nominee.
However, Spencer told Aaryn that he wouldn’t vote to evict Amanda if she was nominated. Now, to a certain extent, I can understand Spencer’s logic. Helen is the one who has been trying to get all of the guys out of the house and Spencer has to know that Helen would be more likely to target him than Amanda.
That said, I still think that Spencer’s idiot.
Seriously, when the HoH asks you if you’d be willing to vote someone out, you say, “Yes!” Especially in Spencer’s case where, if Aaryn had nominated Amanda, it would have kept him from going on the block for the 6th week in a row.
Is Spencer really that stupid? Or is Amanda just that intimidating that people are willing to run the risk of getting voted out rather than send her out the door?
Myself, if I was Aaryn, I would have promised to keep Spencer safe for a week if he agreed to vote for Amanda. I would have dragged Helen into the HoH room and I would have had her promise to keep Spencer safe for a week if he agreed to vote for Amanda.
There were a lot of things that Aaryn could have done to get the 3 votes necessary to get Amanda out of the house.
Instead, she just decided to do the expected. At yesterday’s veto ceremony, Elissa took herself off the block and Aaryn nominated Spencer as a replacement.
And, it looks like Helen is going to go out the house on a 4-1 vote.
However, as soon as she steps out that front door, Helen is going to be competing with Judd, Candice, and Jessie for a chance to reenter the house.
If Helen does win the chance to come back in, I imagine that Aaryn is going to really regret not nominating Amanda. With Amanda’s track record, you can be sure that she would probably be the least likely houseguest to win a chance to reenter the house.
