You know if all television shows were as great as Big Brother is, I would actually be home at more decent hours from work than I am now. I love this show! Every single one of my kids have grown up watching Big Brother, there are some things I won’t let the younger ones see, but for the foremost, its a great way to try to explain to them that life isn’t always about living at mom and dads!

there’s such a different feel on the survivor blog site! i haven’t seem k11 there, you were there justa, snake, stra, strfsh. miss the old gang of BB. never, like k11, was interested in a blog site but now, moving over to SS makes me feel like most of my friends just moved out of town. hope to see more of us there at the same time as the season heats up. i check in every day on SS, but we all are in different time zones and lead such divergent lives.

Yeah, I read it all. But as I am Johnny-Come-Lately most of the time, I don’t bother replyin to thoughts made half a day earlier. When you log on late at night and have to go through 200+ posts (refresh & its another 50), it gets a lil overwhelming.

Also, Star and a few others didn’t like Casey in the beginning. Think he was called weird. But later everybody loved him, and the majority of the bloggers wanted Jordan evicted over Casey.

And I was on the SS blog like 5 times early Friday but I became quite choppy and the comments I saw above “Leave Your Comment” were from like 5 hours earlier. Kev11, welcome back to my cyber tree house. Not sure what possessed me to start this lil corner. It amuses me I guess. I wish I could change the date of my “predictions”.. that would have been really funny. The “9-18-09″ is a dead give away.. glad you guys play along though. I only wish I had found this site last Feb instead of in August. I figure we can go as far off topic as we want here. I’m currently watching football and working my way back thru BB9 right now. Never pounded any nails…. not that I got paid for anyway. Hammer + Nail = Broken Thumb!! I work for a mechanical contractor. Heating, Cooling, Process systems etc. Type of job can vary greatly. Nuc Power Plants, Gas & coal power plants, Oil Refineries, Hospitals, Schools, Prisons, Resturants, Amusement Parks, Churches, Factories, Malls, Sport Stadiums, High Rises, Colleges…. you get the idea… anything and everything. I got into this business in 1984.. justa18yrodepunkoutofhighschool. Guys would tell me what to do and I did it. They test you early and often to see if you have thick enough skin. When you can take some sh#t.. you’re accepted. 25 yrs later, I see kids who think they are pretty witty and want to tangle with the big boys. No contest.. these veterans are experts. They’ll cut you down to size in a heartbeat if you give them a reason to. In a fun way though… like Saki telling me “FU” or AC telling me to get a personality and a real name.

k11, i neglected so much around my condo it took my cleaning help almost 6 hours to catch up! i thought it was interesting that you mentioned your back in one of your final posts. i have a back issue at almost exactly the same spot (that’s why i have cleaning help once a month or so). i deal with chronic pain and some days, like today, it takes a few hours to get up and around. means once i’m up, i have to stay “late” at work to make up the time. i was really sorry to hear about your back problem, i know how chronic pain/difficulties can impinge upon one’s life – that’s why this place has been a great outlet for me, since I can’t get out and avoid Walmart as much as i’d like. at least i feel like i’m socializing with all of you! justhave to bring my own wine or scotch, etc.

I also agree that this fills some void for all of us…although I love being on the computer for pretty much any reason..lol I quit working in the public at a store acouple years ago when the owners, a ma and pa place, decided they needed to close because business was down. After 25 years!! (for them) was sad for everybone and I miss them and working with the public. I still intereact with people but it’s not the same. Then my mom was quite ill and lives alone and I have been her caretaker for pretty much a year, so going back to a real *job* wasn’t going to work. So being here fills that PEOPLE void for me!!
It sounds like you and Kev11 both have a bit of trouble geting around. I noticed him saying something way back in the beginning to Bulwinkle about *fixing his spine*(when the running joke that BW was GOD) I hated to ask then…was alsmot thinking he was wheelchair bound. Alot of times people you meet here are handicapped and this is thier social life. SO glad its not as bad as i had thought. But I feel great empathy for both of you. I had scoliosis as a kid, but nothing that some Motrin or a trip to a chiro won’t fix. Not sure what Justa’s excuse is….I think we just got him HOOKED on us!!!lol Poor guy..he never had a chance…..MUAHH!!!!

Star, My excuse? I love Big Brother. That’s it. When I found this site, I did get hooked(never thought that could happen). I’d seen others before finding this one.. and I’m sure I don’t need to tell anyone the IQ levels there. I have never watched Road Rules, Real World, Amazing Race, SYTYCD, Dancing w/ Stars, Bach, Bachette, … oh Hell!, it’s a lot easier to name the ones I have watched.. 3 seasons of AGT, 5 seasons of AI, 1 season of Survivor… and all of BB. That’s my reality ressume. And I’m hell bent that I WILL get interested in this season of SS… because of this (that?) blog. No Space Book or My Face for me though… not yet anyway(lol). And Twitter?, that’s justwhat I wake up to in the morning…. damn birds! waking me up before my alarm...

justaguy, I now know you well enough to admit I watch The Real World, The Bachelor/Bacehelorette, Flipping Out, Hell’s Kitchen, American Idol, AGT, (sometimes) Dancing With The Stars and on and on. After blogging here for the last 3 months and meeting our group of people, I would have to say Survivor and The Amazing Race are just shows while Big Brother — with this, BBAD and the live feeds — is an experience. I have never felt the way I do about a TV show as I do for Big Brother, and you know I dig Johnny Carson, David Letterman and consider sports, women and phenomena my three favorite things. So there must be something special with this show. Remember how much we all thought it sucked when I first came on and how much we hated the F3? Then Jordan happened. Who could forget this season? Certainly not a blogger name kevin11 in the 11th season with a dude named Kevin making it to Finale night. What a ride Allison Grodner. Thank you. You guys came through and you can thank Jordan Lloyd for quite simply believing in herself in the end.

No. Keep them (testicles). It means they have grown brother! LOL Watching that last season of New Jersey was bonkers and these bitches in Atlanta take The In-Crowd stupidity to a new level? Nothing better than watching girls lose their gourd. Chima and Natalie are still the best ever at losing it but Jameka and Amber (BB11), Amarosa (The Apprentice), tons of girls on Bad Girls Club, The Real World and of course, Heidi Montag on The Hills (Now I need to turn my onions in) are other I remember as being good TV in the end. Am I wrong for being happy that Natalie and Choma were in that cast and made Ronnie and Jessie seem tame? And the lesson? Women, can be bigger dochuebags sometimes than men. And I know our girls Star, p2 and Kim get that. And please keep your balls. I watched Dr. Phil for 11 minutes once so if anyone should give up the goods…

Oh I forgor The Apprentice. And probab;y 11 others.

I do hate the way TV execs are now knowing we love to hate reality stars and have turned to turning up the promotional hype to get us to try and hate people like the white Russell (Survivor: Some Mo) and Kristen (replacing Laure, there go the ‘nads) on The Hills. The more they say these people are villians, the more I look at editing and stuff and either hate the show (Hills) or start to love the villian (Survivor). The jury’s still out though as judging Survivor after the Opening Episode is like judging Joe Mauer after 1 AB.

As for the Saints… We’ve been set up and let down toooo many times in the past. While I’m excited right now, I can’t let my guard down, cause 2 wins don’t make a championship team. They gotta be consistent and do it every week.

I watch anything Ramsey on BBC america. He is SO good unfiltered. I didn’t like his “The F Word” although it was a great name for a restaurant. Only watch Real Wives of NY. Others, the women don’t seem to be very smart. I like smart.

We’ve got the US covered (LA, South; MN, Midwest; NV, West) and can spot a “gobbki” in the woods from a mile away without binoculars! p2, How lame is your upper management if they don’t take responsibity for fund raidning or designate or hire someone to do so? You guys should have some pull, jstbythenature of what you’re doing and if I was there I would have all the people write handwritten notes and put them in a big manilla (spelling?) envelope and send them to the Gates Foundation. Charity and philanthropy should have no boundaries and I still can’t believe the dude or dudette you know should be doing doesn’t justmake the TIME to do it. My late father was the Director of development for C.A.R.E, Women’s Hospital, Presbyterian St. Luke’s and Catholic Charities among others in Chicago so I know a little bit about the game. But $50? They should be embarrassed. I’m sure BBBlogger got way more than $50 in donations from our little crew alone and he was working on a (this) blog for a reality show. Twisted priorities in this world and it’s all because there is so much less money in circulation. And those trillion dollar meaningless “wars” certainly don’t help sister!

I was always very athletic, mobile and tough and never had to worry about walking, sitting, canes or medication before I suffered that double herniated disc (L3, L4 or L4 L5? Hate to look it up) while writing a story for the LVRJ on one of those crazy cars that crank through the desert. It took me 3 weeks to realize something was wrong as I had a previous back problem (+ scoliosis) and my balls (there we go again) and right leg hurt and were tingling like the mild hit of your funny bone. From rupturing those discs, I caused chronic nerve damage in my right leg and groin and have taken a drug called Lyrica for 3 years now to fight that pain and stay at a level where I can function.
I know I need surgery but don’t want to risk it and cannot pay for it so I justwobble along, though you guys would be proud of me as I’m still faster than all the fucking dolts out here that have no idea what they’re doing! I only use the cane once in a while when my body feels too weak to support my torso, and often at night justtogetup and get around. It has changed my Life significantly and my Mom (74) has had to return to teaching in CH to help me get through this. Talk about a great woman. Don’t worry about me too much as I am not really disabled, although that word may seem to fit from the outside casual observer. I remember early on when I realized this had changed my Life that my best friend Eric brought this stupid cat for me to watch “for 8 days,” then asked a month later, “Do you want the cat?” I was mad he was so unorganized about a living creature and I figured I could give the cat a decent home. Little did I know at the time that this Cat was apparently sent to me be some higher power to help me try and get through all of this stuff, and boy has she, Saki, been a life saver. Never thought a cat or a cane or cigarettes would be part of my Life 5 years ago but now it’s the norm. Like my idol John Lennon sang, Whatever gets you through the night, is alright. Sorry for the volume on my injury, but I felt after 3 months you might want to know how kevin 11 got broken. But as all you Treepeople probably know, I may be 49 and broken, but I could still kick the shit out of almost anyone in this apartment complex, although I pride myself as being a man of Peace and haven’t thrown a punch in 27 years. Thanks again for caring p2, as many in my Life here see me as that tough guy that survives everything without stoppimng to think how hard it must be to have to push off something to stand up, take medication justto not feel the pain and get used to not being the rubbery athletic dude that played baseball just5yearsago. Honestly, I think I needed to be slowed down to write more, think more and check out this freaky thing called the Internet on a personal level. Here’s my week: We’re closing the month on Thursday (fiscal year-end) doing inventory on Friday (the day I normally would run p/r) and I’m running p/r over the weekend so checks can be issued on Monday, closing the month T, W, so the CPA can come in a tie down numbers for the compilation on THURSDAY, October 8. (she normally comes in on October 22nd).

And I’m the manager spearheading inventory prep. By default. the General Manager won’t do it, he doesn’t know how, I used to be the purchasing and materials manager in addition to my other “stuff” but he is now yet this is now mine to organize, send letters home that we’re closed and enlighten vendors and customers and organize the teams of counters and what work others can do so they don’t lose a day’s pay because we can’t build on inventory day. sigh! justventing!

i’m actually LOL for real, my boss just wentout to get lunch and i asked him to pick up something chocolate for me. i just met him on the way out the door and asked if he wanted to know what my “new” blog name was, (he really hates when the princess persona comes out to play) and his response (related to the chocolate brownie) was “what FATASS.” no, but it rhymes with that!!

p2, Yeah, that’s the same Reggie Bush and I think I’d like Heffe by what you say. It seems your ability to have to do 4 jobs is similar to many in our country. I proofread, edited, wrote stories, had gaming columns, proofed the Website, provided content for the Internet, researched Poker Rooms and attended weekly staff meetings–all while being held to 31 hours of work so I didn’t get full-time benefits or a chance to get health insurance. Fear my back and cane created a prejuidce to keep me down. So why did I have to attend meetings with the big-wigs (all full-time, insurance, respect) when I was a part-timer they maybe had no intention of promoting? Can’t say I miss the place, but I am Jonesing to get back to work one way or another. And I checked my MRI analysis and saw I have issues with the L2-3, the L3-4 (worst) and mild”stenosis” in L4-5. No wonder I hurt so much. My spinal cord is like a minefield. I am determined to not let it get me down nor stop me from doing what I need to do in Life although surgery (which I need), is something I justcantsee doing at this low-point in my Life. Both sitting and standing suck so I llok forward to sleep, when I can’t think about it and the nerve damage tingling settles dow. Thank God for Lyrica, Lortab and Celebrex. Back in 1989, my best friend at EIU, Larry Heath (of Heath Candy Bars), was headed to a real estate conference in Sin City and I tode him I’d meet him there (here). My layover in Albuquerque lasted several hours so I didn’t get to LV until like midnight and was scheduled to head back Sunday. That Saturday, I went to the Stardust sports book and won a bunch of money betting sports so I thought, Wow, this is cool. Beats having the bookie (and the illegalness) like in Chicago.
Hooked up with another former friend in the Service and stayed with him a week (doing drugs, drinking, checking out titty bar dancers) and soon realized my initial back problem didn’t hurt as much in the desert and contemplated a move. My live-in girlfriend at the time, Julie, didn’t want to move as her parents feared Sin City and she feared I’d drop her for one of the psycho bitches out here (Know you’re enjoying this AC, JT!) So I decided to give it a try, got in my old Honda and headed West, young man in 1991. The city was a town then and people were decent before corporate America and those evil bean-counters (I know!) tried to get greedy, greedy, greedy and overbuild this shithole in the Mojave. Honestly the humidity (12% here vs 80% in Chitown) was a big factor as my broken body does better in the desert–something you mentioned posts ago. And I never hooked up with Larry Heath that weekend, the guy who’s really responsible for me ending up in what was once a great part of America. And almost everyone I know and have interviewed in Las Vegas has a strange disdain for the city we live in. It’s weird. And I still wonder where it will be 10 years from now, 12/21/2112 considered…

Honestly, it was the most beautiful thing I think I have ever read and I went back and cut and pasyed it and saved it in “My Documents.” It was as beautiful a tribute as a friend could want a Karla, I swear I could not post that night after my response to him as this 49-year-old tough guy (also with a 140+ IQ) balled his fucking eyes out and went through one of those emotional periods for about 18 hours after reading it. No shit. It was the first thing I thought about when I woke the next morning and nothing I ever read on a blog will be as real and heartfel as that post. If I ever get around to writing my first book, no doubt you, justa and his best friend John Elton will be mentioned in the beginning. I am quite sure that I too could have hung with John and learned much from someone with an 85 IQ. I have learned more from my cat Saki (IQ: ?) and this BBBlog (IQ: 0) so the big lesson is you never know where you’ll find wisdom and to never judge a book by it’s number. I’m getting teary, so I’ll end, but I will never forget this man who died too young and who had tremendous impact on someone I have grown to respect like a decent younger brother these last 3 months. I have always loved loved Elton John’s music as well. My favorite tune of his has switched many times. My BEST friend in Jr High and High School was actually named John Elton.(No, I’m not making that up… no jokes this time). John Richard Elton was the best kind of friend anyone could ever ask for. He wasn’t that bright in school, but he tried. What he lacked in book smarts, he more than made up for in all other areas. He was kind, polite, funny, and full of adventure. I wouldn’t be who I am today had John not been held back and ended up in my 8th grade class. He was a total class act in every sense of the word. Best friend I have ever or will ever have. He was the brother that I never had. Because of him, the Elton John song that I hold dearest is “Empty Garden”. Rest in peace my friend, I still miss you to this day. (John R Elton 10/15/64-7/4/90)

Just caught up on both blogs. P2, I had no clue your feelings were really hurt. I thought when your alter ego brought it up on SS blog, you were just playin around (hence my “P2 playing the clueless blonde on SS” comment on here that night). Thinking that us “treefolk” really know whats going on with the inside joke that the others are missing (that we know who princess really is, and she knows exactly what justa was referring to). But I guess some things do “Get Lost In Translation” and can be taken the wrong way. But not once did I think justa was trying to be mean.

Hey tree peeps! What’s up? I have an idea… How about a move? Find a new spot and build a new tree house. As AC can tell you, I have scouted the entire BBBlog universe. If all of us agree, I’ll find and new spot and set up shop. We can leave this behind with no breadcrumbs leading here… kind of a fresh start. The only way anyone will find all of this.. is if someone is crazy enough to just start backtracking through time (oh wait, that’s what I did.. but I mean someone crazier than me). Us 4 can move and AC can leave another portal here for Star when/if she comes back. What do you 3 think? There were only 12 comments on this page when I found it.. we are approaching 200.
