Hey gang, we’ve got a big recap to get to, so let’s take care of a little housekeeping first.
Based on Associated Press references and folks from Magnolia, Texas, our resident grandpa is a Gerry and not a Jerry. However, for the sake of simplicity, ease of use and because CBS is using Jerry, I’ll do the same from here on out.
Speaking of which, Jerry did not win the PoV, proving that not every Web leak regarding BB is right. Hey, it happens.
But tonight’s result was the same: Brian got put on the block, and as of 9 p.m. BBT, he’s chill with the rest of the house in full knowledge of his impending exit.
Or is it a done deal?
We’ve seen these things turn around in a jiff. However, unless Brian can make the case that the rest of the house should feel threatened by Renny, then he’s a goner.
For those who missed the on-air episode tonight, Libra and April figured out the alliance among Dan, Brian and Ollie. How did they do it?
My hunch is that Libra has one heck of an intuition because she and April sniffed this son of a gun like a dog seeking a bone. Quite impressive. And when confronted, Ollie caved in what could best be described as survival mode. He had to tell all.
First, Libra and April had him stone cold. Second, he likes April.
Our first possible showmance of the season! The preacher’s son and ye of real boobs!
What Ollie revealed was that Brian confidently maneuvered to have Jerry put Memphis on the block because, in Brian’s opinion, Memphis was a particularly strong player during the PoV competition. Truth is, Jessie and Michelle were both stronger.
(PoV Background: This week’s competition was a contest to slime through honey back and forth from Point A to Point B with the sole purpose of pulling stuffed bears from feather pillows and taking them to the other side of a honey pit in order to place them in a jar. First to 5 wins. Jessie won. Jessie pulled himself off the block.)
April connives to have Jerry come up to the HoH room to let her in to use his HoH bathroom. When he gets up there, eight other houseguests await him. It might have been 9 or 10.
The houseguests made a good case and were quite amicable. However, Jerry waffled a bit in their presence, suggesting they were telling him what to do. In the end, Jerry revealed the betrayal at the PoV ceremoney and put Brian on the block.
Big developments from tonight’s episode:
- Brian vs. Renny tomorrow night.
- Looks like 9-1 to evict Brian with Dan voting alone.
- Ollie likes April, and vice-versa.
My thoughts from tonight’s episode reinforce what I think most of us know. You can’t play too hard too early in this game. The award for best stay-under-the-radar performance in a first week of BB go to Angie, Michelle, Keesha and Steven.
For Jerry’s sake as the season’s first HoH, I think there was too much first-week drama. First weeks should go more like Season 8 when the house threw Carol to the curb. Not that he’ll be a target just yet. In fact, if Renny survives this week, I think both could stay for awhile because their PoV performances were pretty bad. Renny had trouble moving, and Jerry looked beat after just a few minutes.

I told my husband that Jerry won POV and that he took Jessie off the block and he put up Brian. It was all so confusing. After the POV comp. he said, I thought you said that Jerry won. I told him that’s what Big Brother Blogger said. I though to myself, how the heck is Jerry gonna win this thing, he could just about move. It was a good show.

must say i’m def. looking forward to this season, seems like it might be a breath of fresh air compared to the others. Like Augustus Cole I too wondered how Jerry was going to pull off that POV win!! And i’m so glad the girls figured out that alliance right off the bat, I just hope April’s hormones don’t mess up the game!

April & Libra showed they are sharp (smart) and strong players by catching and calling out an alliance in the first days. And the way they set-up the ambush on Jerry was great. Brian is way to cocky and made the mistake other before did by forming an alliance too quickly and is done unless he can pulloff what Dick did last year. Highly unlikely. Ollie showed he can fold under presure. Jerry was put in a tough spot the first week and faired well. However, won’t be part of the final two because he would most likely win. Renny will be gone later than sooner because she is not a threat but an irritant. Renny needs to get on the good side of the woman and relate to Jerry to prolong her eviction. Angie, Michelle, Keesha and Steven laying low is the best way to go early on. Memphis will be a strong competitor and will not be able to stay under the radar. Jessie another strong player has rub some people the wrong way and needs to start schmoozing the other players a bit. Not a bad start and at this point this years cast with the execption on Renny is not bad. But as we all know the game has just begun. If the woman play their cards well one of the could walkaway the winner. However, it is still too early in the season to pick the final three let alone a winner, but there are a few front runners.

does anyone out there agree with me…is this RENNE turning into the SHEILA of bb10…we all thought when sheila and adam were at each other throat’s in show 1 that they would both be out of the bb9 house soon and look what happened…both made it to the final 3 and and with adam….you know the history on that…i think i can see RENNE going a long way…maybe not to the finla 3 or 3…but i can see her being arounf until the last 5 or 6…i must admit the women is a little left of center…all right…a lot of left of center…all right i wouldn’t want to wake up next to her…

Did Ollie really cave or was that his intention?? After that little confab with Brian and Dan where Brian kept saying “I” did this, “I” got this person, “I” “I” “I” – he never said “we” — I think Ollie figured out Brian was a multi-alliance player and one with a very large EGO! Libra was dead on when she said he was trying to be a “Dr. WIll!”

RENNE will probably be around for awhile for entertainment purposes (only). The HG’s will become bored tanning, playing pool and working out after awhile and will need something to make them laugh. I wouldn’t involve her in any strategic moves though because she doesn’t seem like the sharpest tac in the box.
Libra seems pretty sharp but she needs to stay behind the scenes for awhile and not win HOH. The way she is playing right now is a good move, people are becoming comfortable & trusting of her.

FINALLY…BBAD WAS WORTH STAYING UP FOR!!
After enduring hair braiding and tons of boring drinking games…the Cat Fight came out. Man, I thot Keesha and April were going to rip each other’s throat out!!
April, or known now as…that F Barbie B**ch…by Keesha needs to really butt out. Poor Keesha…all she wanted was an enema. And so what that she hangs with Angie. Keesha is PO’d that The Otherside assumes that means she’s going to keep Brian.
Libra, April, and Michelle (YUK!) need to get over themselves. And if I see Michelle trying to console and yell at the same time….she is so fake and has to have her nose in Everything. And she is really humilating herself with Jessie. She hangs all over him, waits for him to come to bed, etc..He just shrugs her off.
Paranoia and Drama Ruled last night! Glad I stayed up for it!! (The You-Tubes are up if you want to watch them)

Not fond of Jessie, at all! I want him gone. That pov comp was exhausting, J(G)erry was winded from the beginning. Renny is funny, entertaining, however her voice is annoying. Enjoying it all!

Well, last night was interesting, but if you didn’t flip to bbafter dark, you missed a show! The blonde battle began. April threw her poolstick on the ground and was ready to pounce Keesha. It was quite entertaining. And is it me or are the ladies in the house all waaay too sensitive about being “friends”. Most of the drama I’ve seen so far is over silly things like “you talked to him instead of me, or that hurt my feelings when you wouldn’t talk to me”. Busy body Michelle is trying to be every body’s best friend to the point of annoyance. They all jumped in too quick and expect true instant bonds to play an important part in this too soon. You’ve only known eachother for what 2 weeks? You’re not bff’s just yet. Should be an interesting and sleepless season if it keeps up like this…. What Fun!
