Big Brother 10: Nice Guys Finish … Second To Last? Steven Evicted
Do you ever get the feeling that some people are too nice to play Big Brother? That’s what I took from Steven, the cowboy evicted from BB10 by a vote of 9-0 Wednesday night.
During goodbyes from Keesha, in particular, our Dallas native teared up, something that frankly doesn’t happen that often in this game when somebody gets evicted. Typically, the eyedrops are reserved for the houseguests who survive.
Even during his attempts to campaign in the 11th hour, Steven was just not made of that steel required of a Big Brother champ. Don’t get me wrong. Anybody who can ride a bull for eight seconds is made of brass balls; however, Steven just came off as somebody who was unable to succeed at others’ expense.
Oh, he tried. But he wasn’t any good at it. Came off as disingenuous.
Good guy though. Felt bad for him, and that rarely happens for me on this show.
Dan’s strategy of looking like a weak player worked, at least for this week. In the diary room, he’s talking as if he’s kind of maneuvering things at his own pace while in reality he merely defeated a guy who was never going to be any good at being cut-throat.
Nevertheless, the house focus seems to be on “The Floaters,” comprised of Dan, Steven, Jerry and Renny. It’s not a strong, narrow focus, just something brought up by Libra and her crew.
That crew counts the aforementioned and bountiful Keesha as a member. She by the way is the new Head of Household, having won a game of “guess-where-the-missing-stuff-used-to-reside.” Not only was she sympathetic to Brian in Week 1, she was to Steven this week.
Keesha is a softie. She is horny, too, as she and every other woman in the house proclaimed this week. Keesha has been able to get along with Libra, who has worked well with April and Ollie.
On the other side of the house, we have Jessie, Michelle, Dan and Memphis, which might even mean Angie at this point given that she’s become pretty close to Memphis. For those counting at home, Michelle and Jessie are headed toward a possible showmance and so is Angie and Memphis.
This is in addition to the nasty nasty done by Ollie and April this week. Don’t think your preacher dad was applauding that, Ollie. Don’t get me wrong; I applauded. But his dad? Don’t think so.
You had to see the show to get it, I guess.
Aside from Jerry and Renny though, the lines are pretty well drawn, and Libra and Keesha talked earlier this week that tensions were high enough that only one move from one side of the house could engage the beginnings of all-out war.
And I say “Bring it on!”
But, first, I’m not sure what side I like. I think it’s Keesha’s side because she seems personable. On the other hand, I don’t like April and Ollie at all.
Then again, I can’t stand Jessie. Can Not Stand. C A N N O T S T A N D.
But which of these two major factions is your favorite, and why? With which do you think Renny and Jerry will eventually land?
Side note: Renny was pretty hot as a younger woman, and she’s not ugly now. Not by any means. Still a big fan of hers, and I think it’s super smart that she and Jerry are not in either group for the moment. Wouldn’t it be a hoot if they were the Final 2?
Alas, my favorite of the two factions is Keesha’s. But barely.
I suspect Jessie and Dan get put up on the block this week. Gut hunch.

Hello! Steven…nice guy! “Suck it Bitches” on live TV. Sorry too confusing for my 9 year old which I had to explain as to what he meant by that!!! My son figured since he said Bitches he was no longer “gay.” I was also upset with Show II a couple of nights ago when I went to turn on after dark, 9pm at night and there is porn before the show. Maybe I should know better but geez it is 9pm at night!!!! Sorry but that was not okay for him to say. Completely confused my 9 year old. I would have much rather watched the show then explained his inappropriate actions. After all was said and done I had never laughed so hard as the Aliens popping up!!!!! My son and I watched it about 11 or 12 times laughing harder each time!!!! More spooky Aliens are in order!!!! HUGS, Tina the prude tonight!

I predict Libra & Jessie on the block… Steven deserved to go, his speech to the other household members was totally off the wall, why would anyone keep him after a plee that made no sense to anybody, guess it was an inside joke betwen steven & himself. I for one am glad the gay cowboy is gone, everyone pretending that gay did not make Stevens personna, and Briane pretending he was alright with Stevens gayness, they say only the guilty speak, if Briane was ok with stevens gayity he would had said nothing.
This Big Brother is dis-appointing after 8 with Dirty Dick and 9 with James, and all the wondefrul characters, nobody has gotten naked in the sauna or hot-tub, theres no real charactewrs so far…
I watc showtime with Big Brother after dark and it’s totally boring, bring on the orgy and cat fights!

I’m confused about which faction of the house I’m for at this point too…mainly because I think the sides themselves are confusing!! I really like Keesha, but am not fond of her team members. And I like Angie and Memphis but not Jessie and cant stand Michelle! I don’t get the way they aligned tho. Since Keesha liked Steven so much(and Brian too) I thought she would be on the OTHER side. And she and April have had issues and by her own admission she wants Libra OUT! So …why is she on their side again??!!
I watched a little of BBAD tonight(a little is all I can take before it puts me to sleep)and it seems that Keesha is gunning for Angie! She thinks she’s a strong player and didn’t like how she tried to get her to vote agaisnt the house for Brian to stay and made her a target. Kind of surprised me. She’s trying to make sure she has promises form at least 5 people before she puts her up. Not sure yet but sounds like she may put Memphis up against her. This season is definelty not going MY way. Have liked everyone that has been evicted so far!
And I totally agree about the lack of SIZZLE on this show. BB8 and 9 have been my fav seasons so far. Kinda hard to go from them to …YAWN………this……

I’m kinda worried Keesha is showing her cards to too many HG’s especially Memphis about her planning on putting Angie on the block next, which Angie needs to go soon, she’s way too prudish to the girls, and she’s using the idiot guys, Jessee and Memphis sure defended her when Keesha told them, that weasel Jesse, damn, he’s so rude, he wants to know everything thats going on but don’t let anybody get a word in edgewise when they try to tell him, I was not impressed with his parents interview, that intervies proved he’s a spoiled brat, his Mom made it sound like “Oh her Son is so perfect”, it was Renny’s fault they got in an argument the first night, and her Son is respectful to everybody……..Yeah Right!!!
I bet he even talks to his own Mother like she’s beneath him. and gets away with it.
Can’t wait till that fool is gone and wish he could take Michelle with him, maybe double eviction soon, would be nice.
I was impressed with Keesha saying she promised Jery she would never put him on the block, ahw ia very respectful young lady to the older folks, so far.
I like Renny but why would she want Keesha to put up Libra and April first over Angie and whoever Keesha decides on, let someone else do that, that would really not look good if Keesha put up 2 from her own group, let Renny do it herself if she ever wins HOH, let Keesha make her own decision, but I’d either hope its Angie/Memphis, or Angie/Michelle, or Angie/Jesse, I think Memphis is the stronger player of those 2 guys, and sneakier, Memphis, Jesse, and Michelle thinks their poop don’t stink.

So reading through all of the posts, it seems I am the only one who dislikes Keesha. It drives me nuts that she just hated Libra in the Tuesday show, but the two were buddies in Wednesday show. Did she answer any of the question right in the HoH competition or did she just hope everyone else would answer wrong? And if she puts up Ang because she tried to recruit her to vote on Brian’s side, she is a hypocrite (she did that for Steven). With this said, if Keesha puts up Angie (who I like) and Memphis, that means we are closer to losing Jesse, which would save the show (why mus CBS always keep a camera on this dude). Keesha is at least fun to look at, Jesse… not so much…
Watch out for Dan, there is value in being a weak player early.

Jesse has to go as well as Libra. Wish it were a double eviction so they both could go. If you were to look up Angry black woman in the dictionary, Libra’s picture would be there. There aren’t enough mirrors in the world to satisfy Jesse’s lust for himself!
The alliances in BB10 aren’t so well drawn … hard to figure out who is aligned with whom.

I can not stand Jessie. Why does he keep trying to prove his intelligence? He obviously isn’t too bright. He is very easily persuaded. If he stays on the show, I don’t think I can continue to watch it.
I thought it was awesome that Keesha won HOH. Angie, Memphis, Jessie, and Michelle were getting a little too cocky. I am ready for the house to start splitting up. Why is it all for one one for all?

I agree (again) with BBBlogger. I wanted the house to rock! I was sooo looking forward to an upset. I wanted Keesha to use her influence on her brood of hg’s.. and vote Dan out! That would have set the house on its side. It showed simple WEAKNESS, when they all voted for Steven to leave. They should have cut the votes down the middle. Now Jessie, Michele, Memphis, Dan, Angie all think they are ruling the roost. In all honesty they are. They others showed weakness, and not a good thing in this game. I would have loved to see the looks on their faces IF Dan was evicted, it would have been a Dustin revisited. I surely am hoping that Keesha will get some balls and rock the house. I want to see fear in Jessie’s face and then I want to see Jessie walk OUT THE DOOR!!

My girls are 13 and 15 and even I won’t let them watch BBAD. It’s too unpredictable and I can’t stand the way Michelle (the Tranny) drops the F-bomb a couple of times in every sentence. What a woman?!!
Yeah, last night’s show was a doozy! Loved Steven’s goodbye speech. I’d say the same thing. Loved Libra being put on the spot with Two Questions. I knew it rattled her cage, and sure enough, she was in the DR for almost two hours last night!!
The show did a good job making Jessie look like the Fool he is. Loved the banter between Renny’s son and Jessie’s mom…who by the way…didn’t make the “little” squirt look any better. His HOH interview with Julie was stupid and what about his goodbye message to Steven? Egotistical Jerk!!!! Wait till he gets out and sees how he portrayed himself? Oh wait, this is Jessie…he won’t notice cuz he loves himself. And remember? At 22, he has experienced life?! Give me a break…he has NO IDEA what life’s experiences have in store for him! He needs to shut up…at least we could attempt to enjoy the show.
Was a little tense there at the HOH comp. We were all screaming at the tv at our little BB party. Glad Keesha’s HOH…although Libra kept walking around as if she won. Good letter from Keesha’s Dad. Made me cry.
Will Keesha “stir the pot?” Jessie tried to tell her she had a “free week” like he did. But she’s contemplating getting Angie out…while whispering about Libra to Renny. I don’t think she’d attempt Libra. It would lessen her numbers. If she does put up Memphis with Angie?….I DO think it will put a target on her back and she is too weak for that. We’ll just have to see what she does today, but I bet she is Stressed!
And as for a Showmance? That’s between O/A. There’s NO WAY Jessie would hook up with Michelle. And Memphis is too loyal with his girlfriend to even Think of hooking up with Angie or anyone else. Ain’t gonna happen!

Gosh,I love this show. Granted, as has been stated, this show lacks in the sizzle and spark quotient. I agreed with Flora’s ideas about how Keeshaw’s group should’ve got the season rolling by evicting Dan. Talk about a whole other kind of show and HOH competition would have been and BBAD would have been exciting last night. I laughed at those who said BBAD had put them to sleep. For thie first time in my BBAD viewing history, I too fell asleep the last two nights. God wake me when the killing starts…LOL!

I’m a bit dissappointed at this point in the game. I figured Libra and her “crew” were gonna chicken out on voting Dan off. It really would have shaken things up! I consider Keesha a floater still - who knows what she is thinking! And I wouldn’t trust April & Libra to be loyal to her!… I think anything could happen this week!! I think a new alliance needs to be made! I can’t stand Jessie & Michelle but I also can’t stand Libra & April… As for Renny & Jerry - total toss up! I guess whoever gets to them first…

OK. i’m Renny’s age…i hate it when ppl are judged by age and said are or aren’t yet ugly..i mean what the hell is ugly? to me it’s not your looks but someone’s personality. you’re gonna get old ppl or die young. i would LOVE for renny and jerry to make it to the end. would CRACK me up.

I have to say that the best of all the BB peeps won HOH last night. Love me some Keesha. If she is smart she will put up Michelle & Jesse ….that way if one of them wins POV they will def save themself and at then least one of them will guarantee to go home. They are the biggest threats so far…not Angie. I think she and Memphis have more of a chance to lose comps. Jesse needs to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope Angie wins POV and Keesha puts up Michelle next to Jessie….Although for my sanity alone he has to go… I don’t see Angie and Memphis together as a showmance… I think Ollie and April are setting themselves up for a fall.. Even Brian said, when he got evicted, that he thought Memphis could take the game to the end. So I don’t think he would take a chance like that with Angie…

Looks like MEMPHIS, OLLIE, AND LIBRA have been chosen to play in the P.O.V.
Jessie spent a lot of time in the HOH convincing Keesha to B.D. Libra…using the Steven Elimination as his ploy. Keesha seems to be falling for it.
Keesha is being surrounded by The Vultures again…and she is telling them about Jessie wanting Libra to be put up, but at the same time, she keeps asking about Steven. Should be interesting to see who wins and what Keesha plans to do.
