8 gone and 8 remain…Half way through Big Brother 9
With Matt being evicted by a tie vote of 3 to 3 and James who was HoH sending the Boston roofer packing, we officially reached the half way point. Half time, 50/50. It sure feels different than other seasons. Still trying to understand how and if the couple angle is still working inside the house or if everyone is playing their own game. Hard to tell but I think this week we should start to see the stronger game players come to the surface.
I have to give everyone who reads this blog credit. You all picked Matt would be evicted over Ryan at a whopping 80%! Just goes to prove that you are all BY FAR the smartest Big Brother fans out there and truely have your fingers on the pulse of the show! Bravo!!
For instance, is it just me or has Shelia been pulling a lot of strings and making a lot of the moves in the house over the past 2 weeks. Not only working to get James out 2 weeks ago (which did not matter in the end) and then helping to get Matt out the back door. She is playing an interesting game to me and I think in my opinion is a stronger game player than most think.
Now, with her ex-partner Adam as HoH I am still at a loss…I honestly think he is missing something as far as playing the game. I have heard that he is actually thinking about putting up Shelia over drinking one of his beers in the HoH room. Since they have been coupled up since day one I would think they would use that to be better allies. I honestly do not think Adam has the “chops” to play this game. I think he will continue to play dumb (if it is playing) and keep floating along.
With this update I am going to pose a question to everyone. Of the remaining 8 houseguests, who do you think is the strongest player? Who do you think has a real shot at winning BB9? And who is going to go home next week?

I agree with you. At first I wasnt sure if Sheila meant to be playing the game, But she sure has been pulling some strings lately. As i said to my daughter, “NOW Adam will have to start playing the game”
Matt was interesting to watch, but it was time to go.So far I think James is best game player, but Im sure he has a huge target on himself By now.Natalie is also very entertaining to watch and I am secretly rooting for her because of th oregon connection.

If Adam is smart, he’ll follow Jame’s philosophy of breaking up a “power couple” and put up James and Chelsea. Right now there are four each male to female. If he wants leverage the house to male dominance, then his smartest move would be to put up the two most theatening females: Chelsea and Sharon. But this is strategy, and I don’t think strategy has played a factor in this game so far.

I can’t believe that you wrote an entire segment on Wed. night and DIDN’T mention the most exciting thing that happened. DICK DONATO!!! Yeah! Dick and Danielle Donato was on! What on earth is wrong with you?
Dick Donato has more charm, wit, intelligence, slickness and charisma than all of this season’s players put together. If Dick was on Big Brother this season he would have those stupid kids “baaing” and following him like sheep. The only player with a speck of gumption and cajones that I saw is James. And even he is an idiot!
Here it is….a day and a 1/2 after the episode aired and I am writing one of the first comments about it. That should be a clue that no one really gives a hoot about this season. Last season every time you posted a new segment the comments came flying in fast and furious….300, 400, 500!!!
Poor CBS…they hit the zenith with the “season of the Donatos” and have now tumbled to the nadir with the “Season of the Snoozefest”. (For all you younguns that just means top and bottom!)
I guess I am finished ranting for now…I have to go sigh over my framed autograph pictures of Dick Donato!! Dick Rules! Dick is Cool! Dick Rocks!

I thought Dick was good for tv ratings, because he is such an asshole, but actually thought of him worse than I think of Joshua. If being abusive wins games and fame, looks like Joshy will win this one.
Bringing Dick back just enforces the idea to win and get ahead and be famous you should abuse others.

Dick only abused those who deserved it. Amber? Jameeka? Dustin? Please…they were their own worst enemies. And Jen…well, I still think they were screwing like bunnies behind the scenes and their little con-tre-temps was all planned.

The best thing about Dick is that he (and his relationship with Danielle) really touched people’s heart. I mean…we were all practically in tears when Danielle told her dad…”I am proud of you.” Admit it!
Dick winning the money was so secondary to me…I felt Dick really won the moment Danielle said..”I love you.” I was balling like a baby!
Can anyone watching this season honestly tell me they were moved by Natalie’s tears over that joker Matt?
The contestants this time around are lame…Dick would eat them alive…spit them out and then turn them into his slaves. they even make inept players from past seasons like Howie..(who I adore by the way) look like mental geniuses.
I have watched (and enjoyed) every Big Brother up till this one. I tried to watch the first episode but I was just bored to tears by all the blandness and only watched on Wed. cuz I heard that Dick was going to be on. I guess that “The season of the Donato’s” was so emotional and satisfying…angst ridden and exciting…so dang kick a##..(for me anyway) I honestly don’t know if I will ever be
placated into watching it again.
That is…until they do the next Big Brother All Stars…Dr. Will, Janelle, Dick, Kayser
Jase, Jen…hell…even Amber strictly for the wtf factor.
Just think about it…Dr. Will and Dick Donato…together…they would annihilate every other player. I got a rush just thinking about it!

I want to see James evicted this week! I can’t stand him. Watching him and Chelsia together makes me want to vomit. I didn’t see the season with Dick in it, but I am looking forward to seeing what he does to shake up the house!!!

Well, to answer your 3 questions…
I don’t think there is a “strongest” player. But somehow Sheila keeps getting people to listen to and agree with her when it counts. I imagine every one of them but Natalie THINKS they’re the strongest, and Nat’s just along for the ride.
Who do I think will win? Maybe Adam or Ryan…but it’s all up to the HOH and POV competitions, isn’t it?
Who will go home this week? I think it would be great if Adam backdoored Sheila. Why on earth should he be expected to be loyal to someone who talked behind his back and treated him so horribly in the beginning? SHE’s the one who complained about being partnered with him, and now that he’s in power she wants to ride his coattails. I think she’s a two-faced hypocrite.

Sheila needs to go this week. She is really good at telling the other HG’s to their face that they have her vote and then flipping the other way. When James/Chelsia/Sharon/Josh were trying to talk Ryan into backdooring Matt Sharon was the catalyst that caused Ryan to backdoor James. Then when Ryan was on the block against Matt, she told Ryan to his face that he had her vote to stay and then the next thing you know, she’s changed her mind again. James called her on it last week and I hope Ryan starts wondering about the 3-3 vote and realizes who didn’t vote for him when they said they would.
This is not my favorite season (have watched since the beginning) but now that they are playing as individuals, it has gotten better. I think Ryan has a chance to go all the way, he’s not my favorite player but he is more likeable to the people that will be on the Jury. I would love to see James win but I don’t think that is going to happen. I don’t really care for him personally, but I think he has been playing the game longer and better that the remaining HG’s.

Uh, *DONNA*….Adam picked James and Chels for his noms. After the HGs were woken up by Dick’s wake up call…they had a 4 - 5 hour visit with him….which was really the PoV Comp. James chugged the most disgusting shots, with Adam under him, then Shelia, then Chels, etc….(not sure how many Josh and Sharon had) and Ryan and Nat did NOT play in the PoV Comp. SO…James was able to have the most croquet shots and WON!!! (exact same comp as last year that Dick won)

Dick made a lot of comments that showed he liked James’ game-playing. He also commented….”she swallows”. Everyone thot it was about Shelia, but we ALL know who he really meant.
Sharon seems to have talked Adam into putting her up as a pawn instead of Josh, since she is calmer. LOVED how the whole house temporarily turned on Shelia when she kept at Adam to put up Josh and he told her to quit ordering him what to do and she can do what she want when she wins HOH!! Then everyone walked out on her. She had to bed Adam to come talk to her in front of everybody! WOW!! Too Good!!
Chels will be leaving, although she is trying to drive Nat mad with “ideas” she is going to give Matt for his B’day. Nat just says….”he loves me!” And Shelia keeps going around talking about how ED loved her. (He didn’t…and said he wouldn’t hang out with her at the Rainbow Room!)

Dick was far superior to all these weenies. But, he would tick off all of them and and get booted by default. I think an alliance between Sheila and Sharon could make a break to lead the house. They seem to be around when all the plotting and planning are taking place. Sharon has Natalies number, and can read her well. If those two start dropping secrets things could work out there way. If Sheila could talk Adam into putting up James and Chelsia, they could back door almost anyone.

I think lately that Sheila has been able to pull a few strings and put some thoughts into people’s heads. She’s definitely not the strongest in challenges (either mental or physical). But, I think the houseguests need to start thinking who they want to go to the final 2 or 3 with. See, because Sheila doesn’t seem to be able to win anything - she is no threat in the final 3. Also, no one on the jury will give her the money. She has basically skated along either by begging or switching sides at the perfect moment. Also no one will give her the money just because she’s a single mom. None of the other houseguests understand that concept - so it means nothing to them. They will pick the person who played the hardest. Even if they lied, cheated, or didn’t keep promises. Look at ED and Doctor Will. If James can keep winning pov or hoh I think he’ll take this game. Joshuah is by far the strongest player in the house.
He’s been able to piss people off yet still avoid nomination. He’s cleverly formed alliances with 3 other strong players (James, Ryan, Sharon) and everyone is afraid to put him up for fear of him snapping on them.
Having said that, if Ryan makes it to the final 2 then he will be nearly unbeatable. He’ll get votes from Matt, Natalie, Adam, Sheila, and has garnered a lot of sympathy for having a dumb loudmouthed girlfriend and a lying crazy partner.

DAMN!! S/S/N had a rage of paranoia this afternoon (2-6pm). Shelia is out of her mind with the things she cooks up. I turn BBAD off whenever those two batties are rattling on and on and on…etc….
100% Chels is outta here…but I think the game will become just plain tedious w/o James or Josh. And its obvious how the HOH Survey Questions were leaning to. I guess it all depends on which HG will forgo their ego and put themselves in the mindset of how they think America would vote. So far, Josh seems to always make comments that hit truer than anyone else….it all depend on letting go of his ego. No way Shelia or Sharon will advance with those questions…IMO, I think the HOH will be between James, Josh, and Ryan. Natalie is so delusional…she won’t even understand the questions. She had literally convinced herself that she did NOT do ANYTHING sexual (which in her book [Bible]) because she accused Chelsia of being an adulterer! Shelia had to explain that one to her. I hope her parents/family don’t let her watch any of the show when she gets out. I think it could really do her damage to her pyschi. It’s regrettable….I guess she didn’t see any of Whamber from S8.
The game would be so much more fun if Shelia and Natalie were D..U..N..!!!!

What I don’t get is why anyone hasn’t told Natalie that it was Sheila that assisted in getting Matt back doored. I’d like to see Sheila go next! I want to see RYAN win it ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can’t stand Natalie the most and she is so STUPID!!!!!! Thanks to BB9 telling her that Matt is her soulmate because of a questionairre they took before the show NOW the dumb broad actually believes it to be true.
