And to answer all of your questions…yes….they ARE bringing Big Brother After Dark back again. Last year during BB8 they thought, why not have the Live Feeds on for people to watch from Midnight to 3:00am (when all the crazy stuff REALLY happens!)

Showtime Greenlights a Second Installment of Big Brother

Big Brother: After Dark, an exclusive live three hour feed of the first winter edition of the CBS hit reality series BIG BROTHER starting Tuesday, February 12th at 12:00 AM ET/PT on SHO2

LOS ANGELES, CA – (January 8, 2008) – CBS and Showtime will once again partner to bring viewers Big Brother: After Dark, an exclusive, live televised look inside the BIG BROTHER house after the network prime-time cameras have been turned off. Big Brother: After Dark will feature a live television feed from the “Big Brother” house for three hours (12:00–3:00 AM, ET/PT), seven days a week, on the cable network’s SHO2 multiplex channel beginning Tuesday, February 12th at 12:00 AM ET/PT. The announcement was made today by Robert Greenblatt, President of Entertainment, Showtime Networks Inc.

“Big Brother: After Dark was a big success for us at bringing an audience to very late night time periods on SHO2. This began as an experiment with our friends at Endemol and CBS, and I’m happy that it worked so well for all of us,” said Greenblatt. “I’m amazed at how much curiosity there is about what goes on in the Big Brother house after the lights are out, but what better place to present that than on SHOWTIME where we have a lot of on-air real estate in the wee hours of the morning.”

The first winter edition of BIG BROTHER will premiere on CBS Tuesday, February 12th and air every Tuesday at 9:00 PM ET/PT, Wednesday at 8:00 PM ET/PT and Sunday at 8:00 PM ET/PT. The series follows the relationships and conflicts of players who live together in a house outfitted with dozens of cameras and microphones recording their every move 24 hours a day. One by one, the houseguests will vote each other out of the house. At the end of three months, the last remaining houseguest will receive the grand prize.

So it looks like the LNC will be watching SHOWTIME2 while chilling on our blog!!

Very popular line from the movie a “Field of Dreams”. I have always thought that that would be the way it would be as well.

So last year, near the end of the Big Brother 8 season, I built a chat room. I thought…wouldn’t it be nice to chat with these crazy people who keep commenting on the blog. Wouldn’t it be fun to talk about Big Brother, Evel Dick, Eric and Jessica, Kail and her boys and of course…Jen!

After building it…I found it hard to keep getting people in there….at times we had about 20 people in there at one time. It was fun chatting and watching. I thought it was a good idea and had fun.

…but then it came to an end. The season was done. I thought I would let the blog and the chat room go dormant unless there was some really really important Big Brother stuff to talk about. I thought it was just a nice site sitting there waiting for BB9. Once I found out BB9 was going to start again in Feb. We were back in business earlier than expected.

I started updating things…getting ready…and then I jumped into the chat room.

**THERE WERE PEOPLE IN THERE**

I was stunned to say the least….how did they find my chat room…especially since Big Brother was not even on. Well, from what I was told, they are a group of people who have been in chat room after chat room. They hung out a lot in the CBS chat room. They were looking for a home and I guess they enjoyed the flashchat room I had put up.

So….you must be asking yourself….where is this chat room. Well as you can see to the right of this post, there is a side bar….on it, right under the current poll is a button that says Big Brother Blog Chat room….yep…..right there. Just click it. You will have to enter a username but not a password. You too can join in the fun.

Go in there and say hello. They are a great group of people and enjoy chatting about life and of course…Big Brother! Just be sure to be nice…

By the way…before I forget…it is day 26 on our countdown.

COUNTOWN: 27 Day’s until Big Brother 9 starts. If you have a photo that represents a number (IE: the number 26 in cheese whiz, or the number 25 built out of Lego’s, or a photoshop pic of Evel Dick with a 24 on his white T-Shirt) please email it to me and I will add it to my blog. Here are some ideas of what I am looking for….I am looking for original things that are very creative! Who knows…I may give a prize for the MOST ORIGINAL and CREATIVE one.

So…with that being said and due to the hurry up and get Big Brother 9 back on the TV as fast as possible mentality of CBS…what changes will we see?

A few of the things that come up are…

Evel Dick wannabe’s - Since Dick Donato went in, pitched a fit, was mean, rude and down right NASTY and yet found a way to win Big Brother 8. My guess is that there will be a lot of “Dick Jr’s” running around the BB9 house. From what I had heard from someone who went to one of the Big Brother auditions (which are done now) that is exactly seems to be the case.

New Surprises or a Lack of Surprises - There will be no America’s Player this season. That should be obvious since we saw it once and they cannot do that surprise again. Will we see more twists and turns this season or less due to the hurried production time? Will that mean BB10 will suffer since they will use all of the stops now and nothing new will be ready in time for BB10 this summer? Lots of questions but we will still watch and we will still enjoy!

Time of the year - How will the seasons effect the new houseguests? Right away….just days after being thrown into the Big Brother House….they will be forced to be away from their loved ones on Valentines Day….then miss Easter, St. Patrick’s Day and get out just in time for Memorial Day and a nice long relaxing summer. This is the first time they have had it during this time of year so it should be interesting to see if any of those things come up.

So there are a few things I thought off. I am sure there more. Please share with everyone what you think. I am blogging every day until Big Brother 9 is launched. I promise to give you any information I can find, any deals that are out there and as much original content as I can come up with. Tell your friends….the more the merrier. This is your site and your blog. I look forward to reading YOUR comments.

Hello everyone! BBBlogger here! Thinking that we are close enough to start more regular updates on Big Brother 9 and get things more active on my blog.

First off…thank you to everyone who are still on the mailing list. I appreciate you all sticking around and not clicking the unsubscribe button! I have tried very hard to NOT UPDATE the blog much during the off season…but we are at 4 weeks away and there are finally some information that I am getting on the new Big Brother Season…so I will try to give you as much info as I can find.

With that being said you will notice that most of the banners and categories are now getting upgraded. All of the Big Brother 8 posts are still there, they have just been moved into the Big Brother Archives!

Good news for all of the Big Brother Blog LNC…it looks like Showtime After Dark is returning. More info soon…
