So I am not sure anyone else is still feeling empty….like something is missing from their lives. Its like the time invested over the past 3 months has not come to a stop and many fans of the Big Brother TV Show have started to integrate back into their lives! Officially…Summer and BB8 are over…however, the fun can continue.

On Wednesday 9/26 @ 6pm PDT, America’s favorite showmance will be live and ready to chat with you. That’s right Jess and Eric will be on the live feeds (which are no longer live but they are still showing the whole season once again!) and will be interviewed for your enjoyment. The finale was entertaining. I enjoyed watching the jury questions that were asked and Dick and Dani’s responses. However to me the best part was the reveal of the big twist of America’s Player. Eric had a sheepish look and was very worried and nervous about the response of his role. He even whispered to Jess that he would expain everything later during the live show. (is the honeymoon over all ready?)

It was good and the house guests are all still kicking themselves for not breaking up Dick and Dani early in the game when they had the opportunity.

So with this post I am going to allow my popular summer website Big-Brother-Blog.com to go dormant. What this means is that we will not be posting anymore until we get new news on Big Brother 9. So…if you signed up for the mailing list…please do not opt out or unsubscribe. This will be the last post (at least I think so) for Big Brother 8! Now that you West Coasters have caught up, let’s spill the beans for the rest of the world.

The Donatos are your final two in Big Brother 8.

In a season based on “frenemies,” in which the gap between father and daughter started as gaping but progressed to virtually nothing, Dick and Daniele teamed up to be unstoppable. After a Round 2 win by father E.D., Dick beat Zach 3 to 2 in a game of wits to win Round 3 of the HoH competition.

Of course, he ousted Zach, leaving father and daughter in the final two.

Julie Chen revealed that America’s Player Eric had one task left to do — to persuade the other sequestered house members to vote either for Dick or Daniele and then to cast his vote based on our wishes.

And I’ll be brutally honest. Dick Donato 100 percent, 100 billion percent deserves to win this game.

I was never crazy about the guy, but his ability to perform when needed and agitate the rest of the time truly made him not only the best player in this house, but right beside Will Kirby as the greatest player the American version of this series has ever seen.

Think about it. Sure, Daniele won several competitions throughout, but Dick paved the way for her romance and alliances to move forward without injury. He was the bad cop to her good cop, and that he survived in and of itself was a miracle. Of course, it helps when you can come through in the clutch as he did in the second week by winning HoH. As he did in winning a brief HoH a couple of weeks ago.

As he did tonight.

I’ll be honest again. I wanted Zach to win this bugger at the end. His out-of-nowhere, when-it-counted efforts were truly well done, and he’s gone from an afterthought in this game to a possible but still unlikely all-star once and if Big Brother does another.

Personally, I am not a fan of the Donatos in the least.

The scene with Zach and Dick on the pedestal, shaking and shivering from cold and pain, was the game’s best competitive moment of the season. However, I had more than a twinge of empathy for Dick, being the older guy, trying to hang in there for himself and his daughter. I’ve always said the biggest bullies are usually, dang it, the biggest softies.

I suspect we were all a bit wrong and a bit right about Dick. Both. I could care less that he “keeps it real” or that what he would do was “all strategy.” At this point, I just have to give this guy a tip of the cap for a truly, truly masterful game.

Many of us scoffed at the idea that he would become a Big Brother great at the start of the season. Heck, I was stunned he survived the second week. However, even if father and daughter plan to split the $550,000 they’ll collectively win, it would be a damned shame if Dick Donato isn’t crowned the winner.

I think the sequestered houseguests will agree. I think America will agree relative to Eric’s vote, and I predict Dick Donato will win this thing unanimously. 7 to 0.

The server move has been completed and if you are reading this you are seeing www.Big-Brother-Blog.com up on its new Dedicated server! **yeah** Sorry for all the issues. Just to put everything that was going on in perspective, I was told that www.Big-Brother-Blog.com was taking up 46% of the servers resources it was on. The server hosted hundreds of other sites and because of my site they were having issues with everything from email to just slowness on their sites! But now we are all alone on our own server and we can resume where we left off!

So as it stands in the Big Brother House, Round 1 of the HoH competition when to Zach in a long 7.5 hour endurance competition. Round 2 consisted of Dani vs. Dick which most thought Dick would give to Dani and allow her to compete against Zach for the Final HoH. Well, as unpredictable as a magic ping pong ball, Dick defeated Dani to win Round 2! (Go Figure!)

So the Live HoH competition tonight will be Dick vs Zach! One of them will win the final HoH and then they will be able to pick the person who will go with them to the final 2. However if Zach wins, it is could be either Dick or Dani.

To me the interesting drama of this is the last competition will be Dick’s chance at beating Zach. I can only imagine how the 7 1/2 hours messed with Dick’s head so much that he cannot think of anything more rewarding then winning this final HoH! That will make tonights live Round 3 very exciting to watch.

With that I open up the official Big Brother Blog diary room. Tell us what you forsee….tell us who the final 2 will be….we are again open for business!

…but that headline does not do justice to the grueling endurance competition that was Part 1 of the HoH competition.

As expected, Jameka was evicted and the house was down to 3 people. No real suprise there.

Daniele was eliminated early and broke the rabbit that I believe was circling around them. Then for the next 7 1/2 hours it was Zach vs. Dick for the free pass to the final round of the HoH competition.

I watched the feeds for about 2 hours near the end and watching Dick struggle and shake was tough to watch. Dick earned a lot of respect from me. I was amazed that he just would not quit and his will to win was quite impressive! I actually got a bunch of great screen caps which I will post soon but in the end Dani gave Dick permission to let go…

Round 2 of the HoH will be Dani vs Dick at 3:00pm on Thursday and then the winner to compete against Zach Live on Thursday nights episode for the final HoH.

OK…so I am going to be honest. I have not been watching Big Brother tonight. The reason is I almost do not have to since the best information is contained in all of the comments to these blog posts!

First off I would like to appologize for the site being down tonight. It seems that since there is a live HoH competiton that after the show on CBS is done….people want to know what is going on. Well….everyone came to Big-Brother-Blog.com and thus crashed my server. Well…not so much crashed it but made my hosting company so worried that they had to suspend my site for melting the server. After 3 hours of phone calls and chatting I was able to tell them to bring them back up. I am going to be upgrading the servers to make sure these last 7 days are outage free!

As far as the HoH competition, I know the following (and since I am not watching could be WAY WRONG). Daniele is out and broke a rabbit. (I have no clue what that even means) I know Zach and Dick are at each others throats and still each have a hand on a key. I know Dick had to piss really bad and almost wet himself.

For those of you who didn’t know, Daniele won the PoV this weekend, and she’ll be using it come Tuesday night on herself.

Jameka is headed home.

We’ve heard that the final HoH of the season is an endurance competition, but we have also heard there is more than one competition left. Might there be a PoV at the end? It seems to me in past years that whoever won HoH basically picked who was going to the finale with him.

So, let’s talk strategy here. If you’re each of the remaining houseguests, presuming Jameka is evicted Tuesday night, who do you take to the finale with you?

If I’m Daniele, I take Zach. Why? You don’t want seven jury members thinking even for a second that the source of my success was my father. I won multiple PoVs, multiple HoHs, and I had the balls to evict my own father.

If I’m Dick, I take Daniele. Why? It seems all the bad Dick did this year was in the name of protecting his daughter in the game. If he were to boot her now, should he have the opportunity, he’d just seem like a crass %$^#$@! He needs to bring Daniele with him so the jury members can make that connection between her success and his existence.

If I’m Zach, I take Dick. Look, it’s no guarantee that Zach would win because, historically, houseguests have frowned upon rewarding “floaters,” and Zach would technically be considered a floater. However, Daniele would destroy him in a final vote. Destroy.

Right now, if I’m guessing reality and not strategy, I say a Zach-Daniele finale results in a Daniele victory, possibly 7-0, a Zach-Dick finale results in a close Dick win, and a Dick-Daniele finale results in a stunning Dick upset. I just think in a finale vote situation, Dick will get a lot of the credit for maintaining an environment that made it possible for Daniele to succeed.

As most of you have been discussing, the Big Brother 8 Final Four now has its HoH and nominees. So, for those of you who don’t know, guess who is guaranteed a spot in the Final 3?

Zach. He’s the new HoH.

I’ve told folks before how much Kendra from The Apprentice impressed me in Season 3, floundering around under the radar and then kicking butt when it counted. Zach is doing the same thing right now.

His first line of business was to nominate the Donatos, which has sent them into a tizzy. They’ve gone from lovin’ Zach to hating him, just like that. And, they know that one of them must win Saturday’s PoV, otherwise, Daniele is almost sure to be gone.

Meanwhile, Zach and Jameka have made a Final 2 deal.

Wow, this just has my head spinning. Zach the floater, and Jameka — who believes the game was preordained from the beginning — might be our finalists.

On the other hand, if either Dick or Daniele wins, Jameka is headed home. That’s a guarantee, and it’s almost a certainty that if Dick or Daniele were to win the next HoH, they’d take the other one with them.

With that said, if my logic is right, and I’m understanding the house vibe right now, our finale will be either Dick vs. Daniele or Jameka vs. Zach. Period. Them’s the combinations.

Agree? Disagree? Is this a disappointment? Or do you think something will change between now and Tuesday?
